The gatekeeper is the person that stands in front of or around the “decision maker”. This person could be a spouse, a business partner, an assistant or a secretary. The trick to knowing how to get a meeting with anyone is by showing respect to the gatekeeper. The gatekeeper has influence over the decision maker and you have a better chance of seeing the decision maker if you show them honor.

We all want our ideas to get heard, but you have to think in terms of serving. How can you serve the community you want to be a part of and how can you serve the person I hope to gain support from. Trust us, showing the gatekeeper support will take you much further than ignoring them.
