what’s up everybody this is Russell I’m here with Dave and Stephen welcome marking podcasts marketing seekers podcast we have special edition happening right now so the big question is this power we just got done we had there’s a little Boise mastermind group that they meet every every month around different places and we never a chance to go but we went we actually hosted here the quick phones offices tonight so for the kids to bed and come here and we’re here for four hours or so talking about all sorts of stuff so we said really cool conversation well Dave went back in to go the bathroom and he missed it and he’s like yeah Alex Alex in this podcast about the number one supplement for entrepreneurs and ends up being water and then Mike later yeah it’s like really convincing like you should listen to it now like we’re all obsessed like it kind of freaked us out so we were drinking insane amounts of water so it’s like bathroom breaks every 30 seconds hey Dave like I’m about to be then he missed this huge conversation so I gotta restate retell it and so I might as well retell right now with you guys Clues actually really interesting so what we’re talking about here I’m gonna blackface him come here okay let there be light all right so what we’re talking about you get some units here cam if I could talk something awkward so those who are listening you’ve no idea what’s happening but they listen watching the video I’m in front of click phones offices nighttime we’re under the streetlight anyway okay so I was listening to a podcast that Ryan dye stood on their perpetual traffic talking about the chat books viral video and he basically played it pause and play button I talked when we talked about was like the before state and the after state woman in that video which video I’ve seen haven’t seem to me to go to Harmon brothers calm and click on the chat books video is probably the best I’d say probably their best viral video it’s really really good but he’s talked about the before stay in the after state and how how good that video did like here’s here’s here’s where she was that before here’s where you be after with the product before after before after we start talking about how like the big secret to copy into sales is contrast and I something like 10 years ago I went through a course Matt Fury talked about contrast he said like contrast is the key to everything right like because you have the contrast of like of where they’re at and where they want to go and then and then the your your message in the middle there that’s what creates the desire for them to go from this to this so he talked about an emails it’s like in the course I was studies in that fear was email marketing it was like you know every every good emails all kinds of contrast like light and dark happy sad fat skinny rich poor like the contrast is what makes it interesting and then it was what creates the desire to go from before state to the after state and that’s the whole key is the contrast and so a lot of people ever think about that but it’s like as you’re writing the emails think about the contrast before state again dice the way Ryan Deiss explained was before stay in the after state which was brilliant that I never looked I’ve never watched on the chat books the video so that lens before but if you watch through that lens of like the before stay in the after state you see it over and over I you see she’s in the tub at first and she’s like the smiley mom make in the bathtub it was like like oh this is like nice thing that she stands up she’s fully clothed and like and her kids in the tub with their night FL and while he’s trying to you know timing why he’s holding his breath it’s like there’s the there’s the before and he keeps transitioning back and forth and so in any of your communication whether you’re doing storytelling or writing emails or sales letters a video or whatever it’s the contrast is the key and so with the contrast he’s thinking about that like you told us story about about how fit you are nobody cares there’s no contrast right it’s like I was I was fat I was sick I was a healthy I was whatever you tell that first and then you tell contrasts the other thing and then that’s what creates the contrast what creates the desire for somebody to change which is what they need to have to give you money and that kind of stuff so the contrast is a secret to and join the before stay in the after state that’s that’s that’s the magic so yeah we gotta rewrite the expert seekers book stop the presses what’s that did this thing anyway yeah I always kind of epiphany as we’re talking so there you go contrast added everything you do creating to create it before States in the after states and it’s really so I’m really excited I know I’m always excited but say I’m especially excited because yesterday I hired a new coach ah now if you’ve been listening to the podcast for like five years like you should have been I’ve talked to us before in the past but I’m a big big big big big believer in coaching when I was wrestling um I always had a coach and I just had three or four coaches at free sockos Greco coach nutrition coach wrestling straight training coach but sometimes we get in business we’re like oh we’re so smart we don’t need coaches and no you’re wrong in fact it’s kind of funny because a lot of people I know who really successful in this business for a long time and no longer are there like the last people go and get coaching it doesn’t it blows my mind because I think they know how to do it all in Mic duty like I’m kind of at the top of my game right now I don’t know maybe it’ll go higher but you know I definitely feel like I’m like nine and a half minutes under my ten minutes of fame and it was a 15 minutes of fame fourteen and a half minutes in so who knows like when this whole thing will go down but like for me like I’m at the peak of where I’ve ever wanted or dreamt of being right and I’m still trying to find coaches to coach me different areas in my life different aspects different things about health coaches business coaches all sorts of stuff and yesterday actually two days ago I was listening to a podcast it’s actually is freedom Fastlane podcast by Ryan Moran he was doing a call with this with this dude and the guy coached him through this thing on the podcast and I was like to think that was insane and I said out loud I was like I want hire that guy to do that for me every Monday morning to even focus on what I’m doing and so uh I’m not gonna tell you his name not because I wouldn’t share but I I don’t want you guys all trying to hire him because it’s not his core business anyway so I was like next day I’m like it messes Ryan like dude I need this guy’s info and he’s like oh you know and then I message like 50 other ways and finally Dave got a hold of him and you know two hours later I was on call to him and during this call he literally did like a laser coaching thing with me I was like I was like I want this every week and and it’s kind of like again this isn’t like his full-time gig it’s do coaching like that and he’s like well he’s like what you know where do you want to go I’m like I want to write you a big check for money and then you do this every Monday morning for me and he’s like okay so I did I wrote my check and now next Monday on my first actual thing and it’s so exciting cuz anyway I’ve just different coaches in my life I’ve coached every Tuesday morning meet with The Moron like on its Tara Williams so they get an energy coach so but it kind of goes in all sorts of directions from spiritual to physical to mental to business to like relationship all over the place that’s kind of like one that touches a lot of areas of my life but then this is very specific about focus and intent and like so excited so I’m excited for that and I wish used to see how much I was jumped around crazy like I was so excited to give some money to be able to coach me because it gets harder the different levels you get to it’s harder to find a coach who’s there who’s always you know they can take you through a different a different aspect and so just exciting through me I’m so excited okay that’s why as a coach who I obviously coach a lot of entrepreneurs like I don’t want my students or friends we’re gonna call me like I want to I gotta keep progressing myself so that they keep having something to tap into that makes sense I’ve had a lot of coaches to other years that that I I came in and really quickly we met and then surpassed and was just like I can’t get stuff out of it I don’t want my people ever feeling that way that’s why I’m always like pushing myself push myself push myself just so that I’m always as sharp as possible so that I keep serving and giving in in coaching it’s okay so but I’m just excited and it was interesting and this is the point of podcast not that you guys care that hired a coach but more so it’s because at the last inner circle meeting last week so we had four days of inner circle I have four days next week – I’m so excited but was interesting is I watched a pattern such an interesting pattern first off the people in a circle or people who they hear what I say they do it and then they succeed it is really interesting they hear I say they do it and then success here do you succeed here do you succeed when I was wrestling I remember when my coaches told me he was like you’re the most coachable people I’ve ever had I’m like what do you mean he said well you hear what I say and then you go and do it because they’ll literally during between matches I’ll show you like hey your level was too high neutral lower levels need to be moving more and the next match you’re doing that he’s mostly by telling that over and over it takes weeks or months or years to even even attempt it he’s like I tell you something just do it and my kids and how it should work you hear some of the you trust that you’ve hired that you’re paying to be a coach someone who is your coach right you hear them you then do that thing and you make money for me right or you hear thing do it then you wrestle but right like that’s that’s the process right and so the key though first off is you got it you got to tap into somebody you trust right somebody who knows not gonna lead you astray somebody knows more than you just when you so when you hear I’m not saying it’s like Shane are like you pick the mentor who like you have a hundred set of faith in trusting so it can be me someone else I don’t care just pick somebody you’re right I have absolute faith in that person’s opinion therefore I will do whatever they say I will here and then I will do and in all success but what’s interesting is during this whole inner circle is again I watching is like most these people have that’s who they are like they hear they do they succeed right and that’s why they’re able to for 25 grand come hang out with us a couple times a year that’s why they’re having success like but as I was watching you know I’m not all the mess a say probably 60% of our inner circle members are also coaches in different markets and industries things like that right and interesting is that almost all of them said yeah about these students who today just here I say and they do and they have success they’ve always other ones who don’t and I was like it’s so fascinating to me that the people who had success what do they do heard they did they success didn’t do do the ones who did they heard they questioned they thought about it they flip-flopped they overanalyze they say something else they did this they get stuck in this little thing in the middle that they don’t really hear and it’s just so fascinating for me it’s like yesterday night when I heard a Chinese when I heard that podcast and second I heard it I was like okay I heard it now I’m gonna go do it’s like me successful and I’m like how am I gonna do it I know I’m gonna forget her skinny hearts I’m gonna pay someone so I can do it so I heard did boom now I guarantee you as we’ll see in the next six months the changes in my company and hopefully I mean personally because of because of this coaching alright again I could have I could have heard the heard this podcast like I thought about it and tried thing and like Willie would know I heard it I’m gonna do it and then be successful and so if anything you get from this like there’s a pattern in people that are successful in all areas of life and the pattern is number one they find the mentor the person the coach whatever they believe and give them they are and then they put on blinders they hear they do they succeed here do succeed here do succeed that’s it okay and if you’re not successful something’s happening Ember one you pick the wrong mentor right so you pick something you’re not really trusting or there’s bad advice about strategy whatever okay so that’s the case pick somebody who has the right strategy you trust okay that’s one once you do it then number two you have to listen to them now listening I saw some my friends with the two types of listeners in the world those who those who listened and those who wait to be heard and a lot of you guys are just like you’re hearing stuff but you’re waiting to be like well I heard this I learned like you trying like inject this banana this thing in the middle and I don’t want you guys being the people who are waiting to be heard okay you are hiring a coach so you can listen okay so stop give the right persons right strategy pay them money whatever it takes then listen listen okay II think you know a better way you’re read a blog post or a book or someone has it differently it doesn’t matter there’s a million ways it’s gonna cat pick the strategy from the person and then listen to what they say and then whatever they say do it is it just do it and then will happen the success listen to succeed listen do succeed listen to see see it’s pretty simple strategy it’s somewhere between the listening and succeeding we get caught up in us trying to think or overanalyze or whatever it is that it’s interesting like people that are really good at school typically there’s my I think they don’t succeed in this kind of world is because it’s because they they listen and they analyze and they think and they like oh like it’s good to think for yourself but you’re hiring someone who already thought through these things for you like this dude yesterday like I’m guessing he like my guess is he was surprised at how like he said something like Kate doing it done Mike I listened I heard I did that it was like well you know like my company’s bigger than yours so I did this or like whatever they know I listen I do I succeed I trusted him enough to give him money there for him I’m trusting his strategy with 100% certainty that this is the way otherwise I want to picked him I want a pain in my whenever whatever I like I chose that person therefore I will listen with 100% like I have hundreds of certainty everything he says is going to be truth therefore I will listen I’ll do I’ll succeed so this message is mostly for those of you guys who are struggling my guess is it’s somewhere between this little chain that you’re you’re missing you pick the wrong person tapping strategy but fishing this you listening to me so obviously pick the right thing so you got the right strategy to listen to succeed boom that’s it I look at Brandon and Kalyn like literally as Brandon and Kalyn they come to every event they’re at everything we do they listen to every podcast like the probably listener should have smiley saying that Russell keeps dropping her name again like they listen to everything like they picked somebody who they trusted they listen and they do like I’ll literally be on stage and an event talking about a concept and I get offstage and Brandon’s like hey that thing you just said I just launched it I’m like what he’s like yeah like I like oh you’re talking I did it he’s listening he did it and they succeed that’s why the company’s going bloop okay everyone I’m sitting there listening listening taking no thinking how cool would it be and then they hang out networking and they’re talking and they’re like no Brandon is in there listening doing and that’s why they’re so successful so for you look at that chain there’s four four elements or take the right mentor with the strategy they’d have absolute certainty where they say listen to what they’re saying and listen not waiting to be heard listen then do it what did I say don’t even think white like just do it just jump off the cliff just I trusted this person therefore I will jump off the cliff if they tell me to just do it and it gets success that’s it that’s it it’s real that easy so easy it’s insanely easy take out I don’t know why we keep complicating this so don’t complicate it okay and if you do this thing and you have success there’s somewhere in here either you didn’t hear right or you do it right or you pick the wrong strategy if you get the right strategy upfront then you listen and you do you have success like it it’s inevitable inevitability is that the right word you can’t not succeed so there you go guys hope that helps it’s helped you but it also helped appointment today starting six minutes it’s probably a ten minute drive and traffic is literally stopped my wife told me not to take shinden I did anyway my own fault should listen anyway on that’s Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets [Music] all right everybody so I hope everyone out there is having an awesome time it’s been really fun this week so if you listen along as we go we had two weeks ago we had a fat event and then the viral video event which went awesome then last week I had four days of inner circle meetings and one day consult so yes lots are getting to give you any of my own work and yesterday was the first day I got to get back and actually do my own thing which was awesome and exciting and amazing and I’m so grateful for it and so it was fun to kind of get back to work and it’s been interesting it’s been talking to inner circle a lot if you tell people like phases of business try going zero two million million ten ten to one hundred and if you’ve listened to me talk about this there’s gonna be a big theme at f– unlocking live this year and by the way tickets for that are going on sell this this week so yeah it’ll be fun hiking live.com we should have stickers sales we pre-sold over a thousand tickets already so we don’t have a lot of tickets left but those are gonna sell this week so what time listen is there might be live so if you want to come from like you live go to follow Mikey live.com anyway so uh so that’s been a big theme in my inner circle theme in my company ever hear that and yes it was first time I’d a chance to really focus on the traffic part of it which is fun because getting going from zero to millions all about figuring out your what in your house what are you selling and how are you selling it does break my sorry it have to figure that out like you know you figured out because you go from zero to million dollars like overnight so you figure that out so figured out the one the hell is the first phase actually give that out in the second phase then is like scaling that so it comes it’s coming down like building out the infrastructure so actually we step back so 0 millions really like everything we talked about exper secrets right finding out what you’re selling who you are what your message finding your voice etc etc then number two we’re going from a million to ten is all about basically the dot-com secrets principles build on a value add or front-ends back ends like maximizing the the journey and the process all that kind of stuff it’s that second phase and third phase is going from 10 to 100 million and that’s where we’re at right now so some of you may know we about traffic secrets con from John Reese and that’s gonna be what’s the next book but it’s the next book in the series that’s gonna be all about that part is going excuse me going from from you know how to scale the traffic’s I still going from 10 to 100 million and so what’s fun is like yesterday was the first time we had a chance to sit down in room Frank all day and plan and map and like really build on that process what’s interesting as I look at our business at this point we’ve done well this year well it doesn’t matter you know it’s it’s growing really well right we’re doing we’re doing some pretty good things but what’s been interesting is that if you look at how it does mean to this point like the focus is all on the funnel and so we build the funnel and that fellow’s done it’s like okay now we’re gonna die traffic we going with you know we buy ads we just cut things like that whereas this new phase I’m so bright rise the new phase that we’re going into which is you know scaling beyond as I just is it’s all about getting more people into the front of the funnel right and so because after you get people in front of fun like the structure I call doc I’m stickers are front and back and funnels value light also has already built out like you need to keep adding stuff there now it’s just by dumping more fuel into the fire it’s that’s kind of phase that we’re at right now which is an exciting fun phase right and so what’s interesting is we were mapping this thing out I wish I could show you guys it’s all the pre funnel stuff like most people look at like here’s my funnel what’s the atom to buy and like the process we’re working on and we’re building out internally is is there’s like four phases that happen before you ever get to the ad okay there’s like the research phase so it’s like how much the research were going into you know like keywords headlines articles like who trying to be a funnel hacking deep rice that’s like the research phase and from there we have a bunch of stuff that like deliverables were saying hey based on that here’s the 30 or 60 or 90 headlines you create videos for here’s the here’s the you know 15,000 word article we need to create here’s the title the keywords and focusing on them in here’s and it’s going through all the stuffs of the deliverables then after that it’s like now you’re gonna produce all that stuff so third phase that is going in you know there’s me it’s doing a billion videos I got off the busy street doing a billion videos writing the content like oh this is like the production phase and the production phases over then it goes to the asset phase which is like each video then turns into you know five thumbnail or five quote card a YouTube video Facebook video of this like all that did actual debts that he created and from there that has headed the promotional team which is phase five and if the motion you know takes all this stuff and use it to perot the funnel and so it’s crazy like so exciting it honestly blows my mind that we’ve built our company as as far as we have based hug like literally a building a really good funnel and just turning on ads and that’s it it’s like we’re missing it’s like again it doesn’t have to tip of the iceberg right like we’re doing the tip we’re missing the rest and so now we’re come back into the rest of it and I really think I mean outside of like there’s a lot of infrastructure and people and like other things that we need in places we’re going from you know 200 million and beyond so we’re working on those kind of things but what’s interesting is for the traffic’s I think that’s what we’re building out now and building out the systems and it’s exciting so it is it is a process is starting right now started yesterday and it will culminate probably makes 18 months in a book called traffic secrets that we’ll be showing you guys behind the scenes of what what it ended up becoming oh it’s light anyway so that’s that is kind of what sorry you see how good of a driver I am I always get messaged after this like Russell you should be driving while you’re talking to Michael I’ve got my hands I’m good anyway so that’s that’s exciting as we kind of build this out as after I’ve perfected the model proving it we reuse it to go from you know 70 80 million to seven hundred million they’ll have a good blueprint to probe sure but I think this is the try this is traffic seniors this is the foundation behind it which is kind of cool so anyway that’s kind of what’s happening over here and it’s exciting and fun and yeah the only place really talking as publicly something guys are filling a funnel course that’s we really going deep into this and kind of mapping on the strategy in this process in this plan but we’re trying to figure it out all internally on our side so as we keep getting it better we’ll be publishing it there until we got it all perfected it becomes a book so about what you guys thinking more about that like think more about all the front-end stuff that that you do to get traffic into your funnel try like most I get most of us just just like spend all this time and energy effort getting the funnel right and then we turn ads that’s it it’s like I think they there’s so much more that goes into it before so anyway that’s kind of what’s happening here so a couple of exciting developments one thing is if you’ve been listening to the marketing your car podcast for any amount of time or marketing secrets for a long time before that I have somebody a secret secret spy right now going through all the past episodes this is the retro time system I think it is and we categorizing all of it and we’re gonna be turning this crazy podcast we have take out all the crap and all the fluff and all the ones that were just me rambling incoherently and finding all the best and putting him into a chronological order the metrology with the right order and actually making a book called marketing secrets can’t tell I’m kind of obsessed recently with making books we got procedures book was due to the two years of my life cookbook which was like four lacquered cookbook she got they go to fun hackers cookbook calm or funnel cookbook calms actually easier to remember funnel cookbook calm and in fact right now it’s saying it’s ten bucks plus shipping or something like that to get a 350-page spiral-bound cookbook which is insane but I’m really I’m really into the whole book thing I think books create legacy more than anything else and at this point in my career it feels like that’s what my getting drawn to his stuff that’s legacy as opposed to promotional stuff so you may see a couple more books coming out of me over the next few years and hopefully they try good I’ve tried to write you really good books I think the first teacher not good I’m proud of him so hopefully as like the other ones but there’s something could be fun book that’ll be kind of like an ongoing series called marketing secrets where every in three years I can publish a new book it’s like hey here’s the next 400 marketing secrets a that came out of me driving in my car back and forth and here’s what you know here’s just idea after idea after idea you know the first two books cop secrets and extra stickers have been very much process base it’s like alright you have to go through step one step two steps three steps before you know kind of like that whereas marketing secrets the goal is to be more like you flip it open and you’re like you just grab like hey what secret 27 oh cool or just seen scarcity I I could use that here here’s your marketing secret 292 so maybe that’s kind of a game plan with that book so it’ll be fun so that would probably be the next book and then get so they’re cool anyway so anyway that’s what I got you guys I wants the deadest so I’m gonna go hang out with him appreciate you all for listening what’s up everybody this is Russell and welcome you guys to marketing secrets I’m finally giving you a chance here behind the scenes what happens a viral video launch the bubble soccer party everything is happening on today’s episode of marketing secrets so the big question is this power entrepreneurs like us who didn’t cheat and take on venture capital we’re spending money from our own pockets probably mark it in a way that lets us get our products and our services and the things that we believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers and welcome to marketing secrets alright everybody welcome back hope you guys have been doing amazing this whole week of it in inner circle meetings so I’ve been dropping some cool stuff in the podcast hope you’ve been enjoying it if you’re watching the audio version listening to audio version I gave you guys a really cool call Frank Kern which was awesome since you part of my presentation but I went from zero to hundred million dollars without taking on any outside capital which was cool hopefully like that and and now I finally have a chance to tell you guys behind the scenes so it’s been it’s been a fun week afterwards you know and whenever somebody’s happens we have no idea what to expect what you mean it’s like what happens we’ve launched this video it gets 500 million views we launch it it gets 10 views and you have kind of no idea what’s gonna happen and so for me it’s always like I think sometimes people get so invested in the outcome that they they miss the the fun and enjoy what you’re doing right I know that I’ve had times my afraid to do as well and so consciously with this as well as any launch you know I set big goals and big dreams have I that but they get closer and closer and closer I started carrying I start I don’t know my words like I I delete the the outcome goal in my head like I just like I don’t know what’s gonna be and if I if I set one and I don’t hit it I’m gonna be sad if I if I set one and I surpassed I’ll be happy but I don’t want that like I did the work no matter what and I want to be able to celebrate and enjoy so I try to like just get rid of the the outcome in my head so like going into I didn’t have an outcome really and so I get I was looking things like what’s the worst case scenario so for us and click phones case scenario IDs and we spend a lot of money Harmon brothers charge about half-million dollars for a video plus we threw a big party we hired influencers to come like you’re all said and done and I’m looked at the numbers yet it’s been a whirlwind week but I would say probably all in in this whole party promotion we were probably in close to a million dollars which is kind of crazy I think I told you guys before it’s the first time I’ve ever like just kind of put everything on black and or everything on red or however you say that I’m not of the terminology the gambling thing but it’s kind of rolling it typically with any kind of marketing and very a very direct response driven where it’s like we test smaller dollar a ting at two large back out and if that works and we scale right I said we’ve grown a company that’s how everything I believe is based on that so this is the biggest thing we’re like we’re putting a lot in without knowing ahead of time but it’s okay because you know we’re looking at what’s the worst-case scenario worst-case scenario average clickfunnels member buy time average – I’m like 1,200 bucks or something like that maybe higher actually I’m sure it is higher we just have only been in business fact tomorrow’s our three-year birthday so we have a lot of people down three or so that number keeps growing over time but as far as we know now it’s over twelve hundred bucks a person so right worst-case scenario if this video brings us an extra thousand customers I get it broke even which is awesome so that’s really good but the the bigger win on my side there’s a couple a couple big wins one of it is really when this video went and done like when I went live we needed to simplify our process right the signup process the onboarding like all sorts of stuff like that it’s because of that I don’t sure if you guys logged in the click phones recently but a bunch of new stuff there’s a quick funnels game there’s new onboarding there’s things we call show me house or a little walkthroughs that have video and written out explanation on how to every single thing we instead of waiting at custom domains we click a button and you get custom domain we in fact give everybody the first custom domain for free like we had to figure out all these things to simplify the onboarding process so when this new onslaught of people came to be prepared for it and so one of the biggest things is like that’s something we know we need to do for probably two years we haven’t had the time or energy to do it and this forced us to spend that time and energy a lot of times we focus on stuff that’s urgent but not important what is something is like super important but it was never earnest we never got it done so by doing this and like calling our shot making this big video like it forced us to focus on the important that’s not urgent and we may it became urgent for us so we as a team killed ourselves as you probably saw the week prior we were here all night last week our whole tech team and dev team a design team and everyone was here he’s killing ourselves he had prepared for it and there’s a lot of valuations if we ever wanted sell clickfunnels in the future when big things to look at is is churn rate and so we do our churn numbers or at night you know for us it was like if we if we could lower our churn by 2% like that alone would be worth and tens if not in the future hundreds of millions of dollars but tens like with like within the next 12 months and so that was our goal is try to lower it reduce churn by 2 points so we were as week ago today the viral video went live so we’re about a week ooh about a week so obviously stats aren’t perfect I don’t know the numbers but based on like the first fake hey it’s been live a week what’s what’s what’s his trending towards I don’t hold sigh I don’t want to tie an outcome to it yet but based on like the first 7 days are churned in the in the window and everything has dropped by more than 2% which is amazing especially as more than 2% so I’m hoping that over the next 30 days 60 days 90 days that sticks if it does like that alone is worth more money than I could ever have dreamt up so so that’s that’s in fact the thing is like right now I can’t talk about it for a long time to explain it all but basically where we are right now as we’ve grown we just passed 50,000 members last week actually week Oh yesterday 50,000 members but as soon as we had about sixty thousand members the new members we bring in and people we lose each day become about the same so it gets really hard to scale past about 60,000 members if we drop our chair by two percentage points our next peak is at 100 so almost instantly we get to about a hundred thousand members and so so that alone is like a big a big reason another big reason why we did the viral video is is unification that’s right word connection try building bringing people within the culture closer together and and building that bond I mean we had hundreds of people throwing viral video launch parties of their homes we had who threw the launch party and invited the whole internet and she had people driving four or five hours to her house come watch it with her we had a whole bunch thing and like it just brought our tribe as a whole together we streamed live presentations for me from the Harmon brothers and Gary Vaynerchuk last minutes like I it’s true my stuff too so we streamed his and we had like 20,000 people live between YouTube and Facebook they’ll watch this whole event go down I think how that does for a community tribe culture building within art with our eyes which was amazing so that was another big thing is like how does this become a bigger win for us as community second as houses how does make click phones even more fun like even worse we’re we’re a software product we’re competing with all these boring software products that are faceless nameless and boring we’re now it’s like we are interesting to talk about this video something people could talk about we can share they can show their friends their family and people come there it’s like oh that’s kind of what clickfunnels does give us the the ability the timeliness to rebuild our sales funnel which was kind of typically I don’t like just like here’s a brand new funnel but we kind of had to so it gave us a chance to sit back and really kind of retweet things and built things really differently you’ve probably seen some of it and again I it’s only weekend so I don’t know super get conversion numbers but as a whole conversion and epcs and dollars in are up dramatically so like doing this thing wasn’t just like how many times times if you haven’t shared how much virally cuz they’re actually working like but it’s all these other pieces that are more important to us that it forced us to do so I want to want to put it out there it was funding us watching people’s Facebook the next day I think we had like 300,000 views the first day and people were like oh there’s stinko viral click throws burn their money and all these things I’m just like on my site laughing like you just don’t get it like you’re missing like people see what they understand but they’re missing the rest of it so that’s my goal this podcast always just like let you see the magician’s hands like what are we doing why are we doing it like why was that important why was I willing to gamble and risk that much money on something that that was that big of a risk it’s because there was because it forced us to take the important and make it urgent which is most businesses don’t ever do that and that’s why they they die like you’re telling my wife’s business just seen the video anyway sorry I buried next to my first wife’s business a my first wife yeah watch the video good quick ones like I’ll watch the via that the way that Joe can make more sense along the nude squirrels and everything else other good things did force internally it’s um we’ve always struggled as we recruited talented people don’t click funnels which is the majority come in but like developer something that that’s hard we’re now it’s like they see the video it’s like oh cool that’s the company that’s the culture that’s what I want to be part of us is helping us already a recruit talent and the other side it’s bringing customers at an incredible rate so prior to this launch depending on the ad set in the landing page to find that first you can click for also member on the low end was probably $60 higher end you 120 hundred thirty dollars to get a free trial that’s kind of in the window we played with and goes up and down and bounces all around that’s kind of in the window right now the videos is getting new customers at under $40 a piece on the paid side but don’t forget there’s also the free side is just bringing tons of free people so if you take the free and the paid mix them together our cost to acquire customer right now from the videos probably I don’t know again this is pulling out matter I’d say probably 15 to 20 bucks which is insane it’s a most asses in our world that I counter twenty eight hundred fifty bucks so yeah so there’s technical things we also as of today we should I check it we were almost at a million views so a million people have seen our sales video and now are aware click funnels which is crazy pulling up the actual thing to see we were we were thinking today we may pass a million views but it’s gonna be it’s gonna be tight one I don’t think none by now but by tonight hopefully we’ll we will have done that yeah we are at 927 thousand views so getting close to a million and this thing will continue to drive leads drive traffic drive sells today tomorrow for forever we knew with launching this it wasn’t gonna be like a poopourri or squatty potty viral that’s right like like to explain what click phones this takes more like they were kind of stressed out first like this as long as video we’ve done cuz it gets ya four minutes and it’s almost five minutes long and I was like yeah but it’s okay because I would have less people but the people who watch it understand we are and then they come in and they actually become customers and they stick so it weighs twenty people that it’s just funny to be I see all the trolls in our in commonly Oh like videos too long it you know that’s why it’s not going viral Mike dude I don’t need it to go viral like that that was the campaign we did to United community to get people excited so that people care when this came out all the other things is why we did it and why it’s already I get paid for herself within the first like 30 hours like it’s hate that part was done and now it’s like this tool ins acid that’s that’s becoming huge force okay so that’s why I want people understand like case they don’t because I know a lot people don’t quite get all the pieces so all this hope this kind of helps excuse me um so I’m watching the video getting so fun all right so what else what else doesn’t share it yet so that’s some of the the core things like a lot of people don’t ask me about it and like that the last time talked about is it gave us the ability to throw a party the wedding excellent parties because we’re marketers we should make an event out of everything we had an inner circle last week at James Mallon check who’s known James are a few Google Secret Millionaire he was he was on The Secret Millionaire this is like seven or eight years ago and memories no Secret Millionaire like most people like you’re on TV it’s like hey I’m on TV and that’s it but James really strategic about it and he actually threw a big party his house he invited me and a bunch of other people out to the house and and then did a whole launch around and he had what’s-his-name from lifestyles of the rich and famous robin Leach come to it and he had like all he threw a big event around it and made it fun for people like me to come and come to it and talk to and share it and like and and and made me become friends with James and connect with him and like care about him and his mission because he threw this big event around it that’s what we do this as well as like they gave us ability throw it an event the people whether they could come two boys you’re not could watch it streaming live and see me and see Gary and see all these people just so many cool so many cool again try building culture building things that he came from it so anyway throw an event like I told me if you don’t like launch your Facebook ad like like throw an event around it like if it’s gonna be good like you know invite ten other influencers Kevin your house the launch event together launch the outset together whatever it isn’t like make a party out of it and I was like they have a vested interest in your success they’re gonna watch they’re gonna talk that you’re always amazing things kind of come from it so ever in my office is out clapping we got some weird people over there anyway sorry what’s happening up there so anyway so I hope that helps you guys cuz everyone keeps asking me like what happened has been good for using a bad for you that’s one kind of give you recaps Minh freaking amazing for us again it forced is forced Lee important to become urgent it’s reduced our Chernus increased our it’s dropped our cost to acquire customer to increase our conversions creaser our average car self so many good things to come from it we built some amazing relationships people who would never know the clickfunnels were sat in a room for five hours to listen and plays bubble soccer with us we won a Guinness Book of World Record playing the whole soccer I wield connection community the relationships I so many good things came from this thing and it’s it’s been amazing so yes it was good financially as well as all the other things and it keeps continue to grow I don’t know how many software companies have a sales video that has been seen a million times in the first seven days that’s rare and it was a sales video that pitched the product really really hard so you know I mean like sometimes they have these ones that I fancy because like like I remember grasshopper made a really cool viral video about mean entrepreneurs big entrepreneur thing the real asking is like grasshopper and that was it and IKEA that did that but didn’t sell the product like I I was like what’s grasshopper grasshopper not convict oh it’s like phone systems for entrepreneurial I didn’t know that this one is like a million people watched it and it’s pitching our product you know I mean like we have five 5307 shares 19,000 emojis and tell me comments anyway 1,870 comments like it’s all good for a lot of angles so hope that helps hope they give us some vision some some visibility on what we did and why we did it you know one of the big reasons why we do launch as much as I hate them and the stress that goes into them is it forces important to become urgent so I I recommend you guys to look at like what is the what are the important things you have you need duty right I know I need to do that and how do you make it urgent like how do you tight launch or something or I can event or something that forces the important that you know you need to do to become urgent you know for us it’s like the urges always launching new fun to launch a new theme I drive more so those things were urgent so we’re always doing them but it was like if I can do if I can really turn by two percentage points that’s worth more than you know ten thousand new customers to me so it’s like but I never did it cuz wasn’t urgent wasn’t I confront my face all the time right so since I made the important become urgent through this process it became urgent and it’s been huge since then so there’s go spend seven days I said I’ll PI do in the recap here in 30 days or so kinda keep giving you more stats they get clear numbers on things I sent mine inter circled last four days so it’s a it’s my first day back and half the team’s gone so I yeah I’ll get deeper in the numbers and stuff and share more as we keep going on but hope see it soon and you’ll see my recap as soon as well but this week I’ve got my inner circle here so I’m in there locked away so what I didn’t want to do is I got the video clip from my presentation of the event we’re talking about how go how to go from zero to 100 million dollars in sales how I did that by using sales funnels and growth hacking and it was a shorter presentation but I think it was that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets I put together this presentation cuz likes the biggest question I get especially from from people that are building their own companies like how in the world have you grown clickfunnels so fast without having any money any capital any outside funding at all and so I put again this presentation this morning excited one hour sleep last night and they got up and I said where’s presentation so but kind of walk you through what we did and some of the mindset shifts that I think they’re different that hopefully will help you guys as you’re growing and scaling everything you guys are doing so 10 of my presentation is how we use growth hacking and sales funnels to go from 0 to 100 million dollars in less than three years or a week away without taking out any outside funding so kind of the first thing I want to go over really quickly just for those in the room who didn’t know what I was talking about earlier I’m gonna go over what funnel is really quick so what is the funnel so if you look at in the next to me step back so the reason why I want to talk about it is it’s been interesting like I’ve been doing this internet marketing game for 15 years now so my 15th year in the business selling all sorts of stuff and it’s interesting because recently has been a whole bunch of books coming out on my growth hacking and here’s all these cool new ways to growth hack and it’s funny because we get the growth hacking books and reading it’s like that’s all the internet marketing stuff we’ve been doing for like the last decade and now it’s like real businesses are catching on they’re figuring out these things are really really cool so that’s kind of why that’s kind of my thought manis presentation show me that like all these funnels things is this is the growth hacking this is the moment this is where things are going that we keep talking about so what’s the funnel so to explain a funnel I think the easiest way to begin with is to show you what a funnel is not so this is like a traditional style website right this is what click funnels is kind of going against all the time and most of them traditional website they got all sorts of ads to paying for Facebook YouTube Google all these things and they’re driving into these wet into these his website since literally like slamming a whole bunch of people in their brick wall okay and I know this is how I got started I was trying this thing it did not work I always say that a traditional websites kind of like having a really bad salesperson who’s shy and all they do is they hand out brochures and then pray the person comes back like that’s the traditional website what a funnel is is basically having the best sales person on planet earth come and meet the person in the front door find out their name and walk them through the process find what they want how they want it and give them exactly what they want so that’s kind of the sales funnel is now my whole philosophy in business kind of like I told you guys in the last presentation like when we started click funnels three years ago we had two major competitors that we were looking at number one had just gotten 43 million dollars in funding number two just had over a hundred million dollars in funding now I’m coming in with me and Todd and we’re bankrolling it with our big old credit cards and we’re like okay we’re going against these giants that have the hundreds of millions of dollars how are we gonna win and one of my first mentors Dan Kennedy he’s just say this all the time he said whoever can spend the most money to acquire customer wins and some looking at these companies have 100 millions of dollars in funding I’m like I’m screwed I’m not gonna be able to win these guys can help spend me every single day and I start looking this more and more and I didn’t get it at first I took me a couple years before I understood this concept of whoever could spend the most money to acquire customer wins and like I told you before I I went to college here and Boise at Boise State and I wrestled here and I used to carry my buddies on my back up and down these uh up and down the football stadium every single day before practice like this is my hometown so here in boys that one thing were famous for those who are not from Idaho is we’re famous for potatoes and the very first product I ever put together was the DVD teaching people how to make potato gun and he probably heard me tell a story before but it was a DVD as how to make potato guns I set it up online I’ve learned about internet marketing it was really simple a one-page website I had Google Ads that’s all that we did back in the day so I went to Google I started buying ads I was spending about ten dollars a day in Google ads and I was selling a $37 DVD on how to make potato guns so I’d spend $10 a day on ads and I usually average about one cell per day so Russell was the college kid is making a whopping twenty seven dollars per day profit I was putting into my pocket which was pretty awesome and that was kind of my beginning and then what happened is a little while into this whole game Google shifted how everything worked and I big big trouble and all of a sudden literally overnight my my website was the same but I went from $10 then asked a $50 day overnight and so I said a $50 they said it’s the exact same web site but I was only making one sell the same thing it’s now it’s losing $13 a day and my beautiful wife after about three or four days that said you have to stop this is not a good business this is really really bad and so we stopped and eventually had to cut up our credit cards and I thought I missed the bubble am i doing it we missed it and those are actually real pictures of us cutting up our credit card back in our home first home about that time I had a friend who is also in the business and he came back he said he said Russell I I think I figured this out he said my little web site he had the same problem Google raised the prices algorithms changed and like and all of a bunch of my friends all got out of business one of my friends came back to say I figured it out he’s like I started adding in these things he called him OTO which stands for one time offer but basically an upsell he sent starting upsells to my products and I start making more money from every customer and now I’m able to afford my ads again I turn my back on I was like that’s cool like but I don’t know how like how can I do that I don’t know how to do that and I was like I have a potato going DVD like what should I do it he’s like well people who buy potato can DVDs what else they need how else can you serve them and I was like well we could buy them like the next piece of that to buy a potato gun kits like to buy pipes and the barbecue tonight all these other pieces right and so he’s like we should sell a kit I’m like I don’t want to make kits that would be really not cool and he’s like well see if you find smoke so I end up finding a guy in northern Idaho actually was drop shipping potato gun kits did a partnership with him and I made my very first funnel this is my funnel transition so people who buy my DVD and then upsell a $200 potato gun kit and we send it out in the mail now it was cool I turned the face or the Google Ads back on back in the day and what happened was I still was to paint about $50 a day but then one out of three people would start buying that the potato gun kit so do the math on that one out of three people means I was averaging about sixty-five dollars in additional cells from every DVD I got that I sold which meant I was spending about $50 a day in ads and now I was making 102 dollars in ads and all of a sudden it worked again like that was magic literally I own that when I made that ship I went from losing money Dave now I wasn’t making fifty two dollars a day profit and I was like this is it this is the biggest thing the world now for me obviously potato guns is very small market I didn’t stay there long but the concept of that like rank through my head I think this is how it works and my morale that I kind of learned from this whole experience was that we sites soon the funnels making me make me money websites make me broke and so my obsession for the last decade in my life has been this kale I you guys have been in my events lost a key teaching this constantly showing kids like this is the key and so when I started like like doing this and started realizing it that that message I heard from my mentor could come back my head saying whoever can spend the most money to acquire customer wins that was the key whoever did spend the most money to acquire customer wins and so as we came into this game of clickfunnels and looking these people with hundreds of millions of dollars in venture capital behind them on my calendar world we compete with that I was like I can’t do it head I head for hey they can all outspend me but if I can build a funnel that’s right I can change everything if you look at the reason why we have grown as fast as we had as mechanics cuz we can literally out spend everyone okay we get man probably three or four times a week different people trying to put money into clickfunnels and most of me just tell them no but a couple of you entertained just cuz it’s interesting I’m curious like what they think we’re worth it’s really fun and so weird we’re at lunch to stay with this group and and the guy I’m talking the guy he’s going through everything and he asked the question they always ask my shark tank he’s like well how much do does it cost to acquire a customer and I was like I hate when people ask this question cuz he’s not gonna get what I’m gonna tell him I was like well we were running Facebook Ads to the homepage we’re spending out $120 to acquire a free trial member he was like oh that’s amazing is I based on that he said what I can do is I can go and we can put in you know 50 million dollars in cash we get this may cut like all stuff and I was like well whoa real quick like we actually turned those ads off he’s a cute Rios ads off I’m like yeah like I could have painted this out of my own pocket like I don’t want to lose 120 bucks every customer he’s like well how he is growing so fast I said well the reason why is because we have funnels and explained to him some of our friend and funnels like my book funnels some other funnels I said look for every one of the every single person that comes in with my funnels that they buy one of my books we spend on average about 10 to 12 dollars on her facebook ads or other ad platforms to sell a book but then through that funnel we have about $32 I said what happens is that we spend $12 we get something to buy one of our books we make net $20 with cash to put in our pocket and then we in tradition to click funnels so every single customer before we tell about Clinton’s actually pay us money and we put it on money in our pocket he’s like that isn’t make any sense and I explained it again instead of make sense maybe three or four times then he stopped he said if what you’re saying is true so that’ll change business forever I think that’s that’s my whole message like that’s what we do that’s what funnels are all about ok so I’m walking is really quick through this and then we’re gonna have Gary come up here in a minute but one of the key concepts you guys need to understand this is constant we call a break-even funnel those my inner circle members are here we spend a lot of time on this but the breaking funnel is this funnel where you break even so you can literally get customers for free when you have that you can grow your company as quick as big as fast as you want okay we spend a lot of time in that so this will go to breaking the funnel where I commit a dollar in advertising in and get at least $1 back out and if I’m good at and get two or three dollars back out now I’ve got a customer I got some cash now we can put them into what we into the other things we have a couple examples of some of our breakeven funnels like grab this from some slides this morning show you example so this is my Dom secrets book this is a couple months ago stats we got about 5,400 leads we sold 2395 books our average cart value during that time was $30 81 cents so we spent $45,000 and ads we made 52 thousand dollars in sales so our profit was seven thousand seven hundred sixty three dollars now most people we looked at a company that our size you like that’s a waste like you just wasted a lot of you made seven grand that’s not that big of a deal right but that was to get customers we got 5,400 people that then the next week we would say hey by the way this is this really cool thing called click funnels and I got paid $7,000 to get those 5,400 people in my list okay that was one of our front end products this is a split testing book same kind thing we have 2,000 leads came last month 1,300 books sold average car values $12 ads for this 4,000 sells 18,000 so we made 13,000 dollars but we got 2,000 people that now we can interstate click funnels so I got paid to get all these customers one more example is perfect webinar same kind of thing leads sales I’ll go through this quickly the same thing made four thousand dollars got 600 customers we introduced into click funnels okay now if you walk through this those three funnels alone and we have a we have about a dozen or so front-end funnels we use in different different platforms and things last month from this basically our front of revenues ninety six thousand dollars our ad costs eighty one thousand so we netted a whopping fourteen thousand dollars most feeling man Russell with a company with 120 employees like here gonna go broke fast right but what’s amazing about that is that that brought in literally like 30 or 40,000 new people into our world who then we took them through the rest of our sequence they’re introduced to us and now we can go and we can build a relationship with them we can talk to them we can serve them we can help them understand what we do what we believe and it introduced them into our other products and our services and for us obviously that is clickfunnels and so if you look at that what that means for us is if we literally get almost a thousand new trials for free every single day like clockwork that comes back to talk to pay forward that’s how we’re able to grow so fast as we can literally we can outspend never been in our market there’s nobody else that we can do that and it was cool that for you guys whatever business you’re in like that’s the key okay remember whoever can spend the most money to acquire customer wins when you figure that out it makes you can grow really really quickly any kind of business any kind of venture anything you want to do and so that you world and yet still remain profitable that is the question and this podcast will give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets everybody so welcome again to the podcast without having us here and I’m doing this the day before the viral video launch and if I’m completely honest I feel like garbage I did not want to go to bed today I didn’t want to move can I give you some context of everything but there’s a lot of stuff on this side happened like we completely change a tire online sales process so new sales letters new sells flow to sells everything which you see it it’s pretty ninja that alone you know is usually a couple week project to get it right and so that’s been happening and doing all that this week number two as we rebuild our onboarding process you will see if you go to click forms calm and create account or if you log in as of tomorrow you’ll see the whole hambre process we have an online game we’ve got these little walk video walkthrough that you get recorded and like 150 plus video system a walk through the process so we’ve been doing that getting that all programmatically created plus all the videos and the copy and everything that pumas number two then we’ve got the new online cookbook so we’ve created a funnel-like of cookbooks that book is launching this weekend we have 350 pages the cookbook and then this week I was like I need some training with this so we also happen to have had the fad event this week is still happening it’s a three-day event when people come and we bill entire webinar with them so Dave Ward I spoke on stage for three hours than went to lunch and then after lunch I jumped into my office with the blank slide deck and PowerPoint and I ended up creating over the next four hours two hundred and twenty two slides for a presentation to teach the cookbook that right then every dinner after dinner I got it up I set the entire kitchen and I would punch these big Legos as you’ll see and then we taught I did a presentation for two and half hours teaching how to use the cookbook and how it works with Legos and was it was really cool because in that training video then we took that and we’re chopping up into seventy four mini videos which Brandon Fisher was doing all day yesterday which is crazy and then we still had this live event rice and yesterday I’m Steven was running the event which was nice like he ran the event all day while he was writing the event um I was working a sales letter I was working on a process and I realized that bunch of the videos I created for one purpose for that one boarding didn’t actually work for that thing so I went and recorded 22 more videos yesterday for that report of the videos plus side work and all the other stuff and then and then after that I had to go at home and I’m the Scoutmaster so I went to eleven-year-old scouts taught kids how to swim yesterday and then came back to the office and fatum it was slapping and wakhan sage from nine o’clock till 12:30 at night in the morning teaching how to do the stack which is awesome and I just like oh so tired and then today’s happening and I woke up and I’m just like I’m dead like hosting an event and we’re launching an event and we’re launching a cookbook launching operating process new sales letter new demo of pages plus a lot mark a sequencing automation I still gotta create today attention I have my family pictures why anyway so what could stay just fill my crowd I still fight crap I got it honestly if I’m weakly honest like the last thing I want to do today is everything gotta do today but as I woke up this morning I heard something ringing through my it was just quote I heard from a friend I’ll tell you about this from a teacher and it’s 99 yards death not a touchdown make now the back story behind this so I was I went to BYU Bergman University my freshman year and I was wrestler there and toward the end of it I decided I was gonna go serve a mission for a church and so I started to decipher some missionary prep classes so I still have some missionary prep classes and my missionary prep teachers name was Randy Bob he’s written three or four books I’m like going on a mission and all kind of stuff right he’s in the class and he’s talking about how like four more missionaries you got for two years and you go through this whole process and you know for two years you knocking doors you don’t get it you call home on Mother’s Day and on Christmas you don’t you don’t get date girls you don’t gonna watch TV you just out there for two years right and it’s tough and anyway I remember he gave this last one time and he title this lesson was 99 yards does not a touchdown make I talked about how you go out there and you’re serving this thing for two years he says that you know let’s say you serve early admission in the last four or five months you can like I’m just gonna relax and take it easy you know and kind of goof off and whatever he’s like if you do that like it’ll it’ll like the destiny of your life will change because you decide to slack off send football game you can work your butt off drive you know 99 yards all across the field gets met the one-yard line and if you don’t kick that in if you don’t cover you across the goal I think I’ll make a touchdown you get zero points it’s not like oh well you know they did a really good job we’ll give him three like no we either make it or you don’t 99 yards is death not a touchdown mate you got a score touchdown reading at points and that was kind of the the moral that lesson and I remember that as I was on my mission switch towards the end when I was tired I was ready to get home and and I remember that ringing through my heads like hey 99 yards does not a touchdown make you’ve got to get in the endzone you got to finish this strong and so I did and then um you know I remember when I was wrestling at the same thing my senior year in wrestling I was wrestling a guy that was I think the time he’s ranked seventh in the country and went out there and and I don’t think I was ranked at this time I lost some match selection of early so I dropped out the rankings and restless guy and like our paper I should not I beat him I went out there and I member rustling him and and at first he came out really hard and strong it was beating me and then I came back and it’s fighting back fighting back fighting back so eventually I had a tying him and we went into overtime and overtime thought the ring to my head was 99 yards that’s not a touchdown make like I’ve come all this way and killed myself you know a cut way to eat for a week I did all these things like the NASA fighting fighting fighting like fight if I lose an ally if I stop now like it’s over and I’m just like I can’t stop can’t stop I went out there and remember and over time I took him down and we were jumping around like crazy and the news was they’re so cool the news captured that and that night his on the nightly news was showing me taking Skye down and over time and it was it was awesome so yeah so it’s just interesting how that one phrase has helped me and now I’m looking at today and I woke up and I’m just like I don’t want I don’t want to do this I want to go to bed I’m tired my nose of stuff I’m beat up you know today I’m gonna go I got five six hours to doing something I get back on stage in the two hours and present and no doubt I’m gonna go home and family pictures I’m gonna come back so everybody knows the stuff that you can hear I got to come back and I’ll probably be up here the office till 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning tonight and then tomorrow morning wake up and I got still to my presentation for my presentation tomorrow and we got 400 people coming and I got to speak and entertain and I’m emceeing the event and Gary Vaynerchuk speaking I’m speaking Harmon brothers are speaking and then and then we’re gonna launch the viral video and then from there we’re gonna go down play Bubble soccer tell like 10 o’clock at night it’s a car’s gonna be tough too but yeah 99 yards does not touch time make I think a lot of times in business other things people work so hard they get so close to the end and then the end they take the foot off the gas and what could have been amazing and is it being good or not being anything at all and so for you guys I just want you think they’re just I want you know first off that even I get burned out like sometimes like today I don’t want to do this thing like there’s blasting I want to do is turn this car off and then walk in there but I’m gonna do it because I’m on the one-yard line and I know that the difference between champions and people who aren’t is this last piece it’s pushing it over the edge just getting it out is the last execution where most people quit or they ease up or they step off the gas and instead of a step on the gas we’re gonna blow through this thing and freakin make it touch down it’s gonna be awesome so that’s what’s happening today hopefully this gives you some motivation those guys who were struggling or tired or worn out I understand I’ve been there push through the pain you’re almost there you’re on the one-yard line just get through it just push to the end 99 yards not a touchdown make that last yards the one that matters so don’t give up you’re almost there I’m almost there I’m day long day and I am beat up and tired and ready to go pass out but out here trying to get a bottle of water because I am parched we’re about probably three or four weeks away from our kitchen being done with our remodels we can move back into our house which is going to be also nice I can’t wait but um so typically it’s interesting this is kind of a off topic sort of ston topic though so typically when I’m doing everything throughout the day I really really really really really good so I do intermittent fasting so I don’t eat breakfast in the morning I take about a billion vitamins to supplements the morning I feel like I’m glowing I feel tons of energy I feel really good when I do eat during the day Melanie my assistant makes me this huge salad it’s like a like a sixteen hundred calorie salad with with spinach and kale and salmon and peppers and oil avocados and it’s like most mazes never eat that all day long and then I’m full I’m not hungry the rest today and and then in idle he just whatever my wife makes all you the meat and the vegetables out of it and that’s it and I feel really good and like I get to the days and it’s like I can get so much stuff done I was joking Risa earlier podcast about funnel years how a funnel yeah each each funnel days each years uh each days a funnel year anyway how much stuff we get down to name anyway today was Saturday and my wife had a saying she was gonna be out all day so I was playing dad so it’s when I woke up and started good and then my wife bought Lucky Charms Lucky Charms on about you but that was by far the best cereal in the history of cereal mankind in fact when I was a kid we see Lucky Charms then we found out we eat at marshmallow matey’s which came in the bigger bags and um yeah every year for Christmas we would get one sugar cereal from Santa Claus so we always want Marshall matey so we all all kids my family had big ol bag of our own bag of marshmallows and we get like a salad bowl and fill the whole thing up with that with the marshmallow matey’s it’s been like five hours eating all the oats out of it and then and then at the end drinking all the milk with the marshmallows was insanely good in fact last year for Christmas I trained my kids on how to do that because the tradition has now been officially passed on anyway some insane reason my wife didn’t just buy marshmallow mateys she bought freaking Lucky Charms which are the best thing ever she shoulda bought two boxes of him so today I might eat my supplements I look over and see box Lucky Charms I’m like I don’t got enough willpower to stop myself in Lucky Charms so yeah I just I don’t that cookie dough I can’t say no I won’t even attempt it so I don’t even try it so I’m like done boom one more Lucky Charms to bow Lucky Charms and then for me it’s like a slippery slope I’m like well my I’m already on a carb binge day I might as well just call out so then yeah so then for lunch is like hey kids go out to eat so into hamburger place we had hamburgers and french fries and I hate every else’s french fries are really good then I came home and then I was like breaking my eyes open like my whole body’s like shutting down like can your eyes open and then in the like is home and she’s tired she’s been he has emotional thing all day crying her eyes out and everything and then kids like we’re hungry and like we want pizza Mike sweet get my phone who ordered Domino’s Pizza and chicken wings and like that was like amazingly good and then yeah and then tonight there’s a wedding reception went over and they had cheesecake so like today it was the carved it hit down to the carbs but it’s funny because I am now walking back in to go to bed and I just wanted to just kind of more mostly for me healthy as well I feel like crap my voice hurts my throat hurts my brain hurts I like brain fog I can’t focus and concentrate I feel like my body hurts like my legs hurt I get this just like the feeling and I know there’s a lot of entrepreneurs who are like that’s the fuel you’re putting in your body most days like if I put that much if I put that fuel my body I don’t know how you’d get anything done like I got nothing done today other than playing it the kids like I feel like crap it’s like garbage anyway so yeah I just wanted to put out there because first off for me to remember like what if like now I don’t we associate the pleasure on our taste buds with the food we eat and I eat Lucky Charms like this day so good but I want to like consciously remember this like oh I feel right now because I want to associate this with carbs so I quit eating them because God they just thrash you and destroy you and make you feel like garbage and then yeah so those you guys home competing against please keep eating crap I love it it makes me make so I can get done more in a week and you get done in a day but for the rest of you guys who I’m coaching and consulting I want you two to succeed look at your diet seriously shift how you’re eating if you’re trying to figure out how to eat for energy couple things I’d recommend number one google intermittent fasting that’ll change your entire day around you I’ll try and lose weight just from shifting so you don’t eat in the morning meat you know fats in the afternoon the carbs at night it’ll keep you tight energy high of two out a day so you can compete and do well and then the bulletproof diet is really good most you guys know I’m Mormon so I don’t drink coffee but there’s different ways to make that and anyway Dave Asprey his whole mission his stuff is really really good I love his stuff – the coffee so yeah but you can do bulletproof other things in the morning if you want or you do coffee if that’s what you like to do as well but the whole concept high fats strongly strongly believe in that is the huge thing that’s helped me succeed as entrepreneur and then the last one is Anthony DiClemente is biohackers guide which is another amazing book you can always eat for energy and other things for energy as well so anyway there’s just some help you guys if you’re struggling if you’re hard to get through the days and it’s hard to focus and concentration and you want to just go out there and the rash everyone I think about the fuel you’re putting in your body because this now the testament of what Lucky Charms the devil I think the boy I think I also lucky charms for dinner maybe that’s lunch – yeah box number two is almost gone look of the same those watching the day Lucky Charms you kidding me that’s why I don’t like my wife to go shopping sometimes she buys all the kids stuff I can’t say no to anyway so just think about that fuel your premium bodies is affecting how your how you’re competing so this is a gay this this this business is game this competition and I know that the athletes have to understand that a lot of people who maybe not been athletic so I understand that you’re in a competition you’re competing with people like me who recessed with this kind of stuff and what you can your body doesn’t matter so look at that figure it out even if you don’t want to lose weight it doesn’t matter about losing weight it’s about keeping your brain sharp eight ten twelve hours a day so you can get a lot of crap done and accomplish what you want to do see certain people you need to serve so they’re your guys hope that helps go to bed tonight in the crash and tomorrow we back on cue because I got a big week coming up if I survive this week it’s gonna be 90 percent diet 10% motivation 30% inspiration yet still remain profitable alright guys so um I’ve got someone in our coaching programs who I love and care about and respect and someone who has had a lot of successes you know two comma Club winner for sure and sorry my wife’s license plate thingy broke so you swap it down and it’s been like six months and she keeps hinting towards the fact that it needs to be fixed so finally take him thank you and I love you alright so I’m fixing her thing while we’re talking anyway so this person launch – launch webinar got to million bucks and then kind of transition to and like I think love the market and the the thing initially and then and then kind of fell out of love with it and so because that transitioned to a new product created the product did the did the ads launched another webinar had success there and another one it kind of has kind of transitioned a couple and that person is kind of frustrating cuz there I go I’m stuck it I’m stuck it you know million bucks a year and they want to be it they want to grow they want to get a 10 million bucks not because of the money but because the impact they want to grow so there’s goals and you know how do I get 10 million bucks a year and and they’re frustrated and I was just like thinking they messaged me yesterday and so I was talking to him and kind of thinking through and then for last day or so it’s just been like in my in my mind resonating like what like what’s wrong Inc this person has all the skills that they have all the talents have all the abilities like why why did they not why are they not getting next level like what’s the thing I start thinking back about what I’m gonna be speaking a lot about if I’m hacking live but the process going from zero to million million to ten and ten to a hundred sorry I’m such not a handy man I can’t figure out how to get these things to work anyway um and so that was my thought sounds like well cases we know that from going 0 2 million it’s all about figuring out the what and the how what are you selling that people actually want to buy and then how he some it’s like you go to a webinar are you doing through you know Amazon is it what’s the thing and after you figured out the what like this is what I’m selling and this is how the how the people want to buy it what typically happens is in your business boom explodes really fast I tell people that they know when they’ve hit though they’re what in there how because they’ll go from zero to a million dollars really fast Dan Henry’s a good example if you guys what is how from zero to a million in five months like it’s pretty pretty simple concept so but it takes a while initially some people spend their whole life trying to figure out the what now telling people what to sell like oh I forgot the coolest product everybody can’t figure out how to sell if you know how to sell based on the right product things like that and so for this person they done that multiple times they forgot what now hit up two million dollars and then they and then they they shifted the next thing and and I was in that cycle fright twelve years so I’m probably good coach for this cuz I attended a lot a lot of a lot of good businesses nothing that was great right and so yeah I can’t face license plate I’m giving up you know I tried I get brownie points for trying right so the wasn’t Hal right and so I started thinking and I was like okay from zero to millions what now from million to ten it’s all about like the back end and the front end funnels the front when I was bringing more leads in back in funnels go deep inside of that thing and also some had the Epiphany I was like oh my gosh this is it so start thinking about click funnels rise to click forums for example um you guys know the thing I think I had five or seven funnels I had tried before we had the one that hit right and the one that hit was the funnel hacks webinar I was just like boom it blew up fast for now cliff Franz has been alive for a little over three years almost wait is it her breath it’s almost three years I don’t know something like that so almost three years and what’s interesting if you if you look at it if you do the actual math of the funnel hacks course 997 dollars we sold about 10,000 ish copies a little more than that but let’s say ten thousand four numbers say K so that means ten million dollars were made from the webinar which is awesome right anyone else at 10 million I’ll webinar that’s that’s great but emulator webinar like comes and goes like I say it’s probably one of the best or the best in our industry but that would have been that good of a story we’re awesome a 10 million bucks if you look at that now we will we’re now we’re in September October by November click phones well past one hundred million dollars in collected sales I know because I have this countdown clock where every single day my accountant lets me know how much further we are away from that because I want to know how long should I just go from zero to a hundred million dollars and we’re closed so I will have this year for sure it’ll be November and so that’s exciting right I was looking like the webinar only made 10 million means the extra 90 million came from something else so where that stuff come from and that’s where I keep something like going deep right I’m going from from the from zero to millions all about the one half a million to ten is about it’s about the front end and the back end funnels right so friends more ways to bring leads in right so we had the books expert seekers talk on secrets perfect webinar things I have to bring leads in to the business click funnel columns the front end you know all this stuff like that then you’ve got the backend funnels are going deep right and so what’s cool about as I started selling you know other things relate to funnels so some stuff I could share yes but if you’re the extra seekers book talked about opportunity switch and then opportunity stack right so each business every business should only have one switch so I switch people into funnels and I stack things within that market let me do this correctly you have compounding interest I’m gonna spend here in a minute but I switched over there so like what someone comes in have click funnels then we’ve got other products and services to help help help them better at that thing that that’s the opportunity switches them into right so some into funnels and then we’ve got funnel scripts we’ve got fill your funnel which is our traffic course we’ve got our certification program we’ve got our clicks to our funnel for app union started click phones we have clickfunnels there’s software for crying out loud we have all these other things excuse me that are all tied back the ho to funnel right so that’s how we’re able to go super super deep and for this person the problem had is that they got they got two million dollars and they just switched and then they got new million dollars and they switch and they keep the kind of switch the opportunity on person they switched what they’re doing they’re switching their focus switching their branding and nothing against that like I did that as well like if I would have if I was stuck with the very first thing that I ever did you know we never would have clickfunnels probably I don’t Todd we figured out eventually I’m sure but but like that’s that’s the thing like you gotta figure out that one how not only not just for your customers cuz part because again you feel for your customers boom you’re a million bucks fast but that’s like this business I want to be in forever because I didn’t want to be teaching micro continuity forever you know I didn’t want to teach 12 month millionaire forever and he’d steal my million-dollar and first million dollar projects like there was a whole bunch from right there seven eight million dollar winners in the early days we hit a million bucks but then excited al and it was like and I switch the next thing the next thing and the next thing and to get to from a million to the ten and to the hundred it’s not going focusing deep and the rihwan of the baby main major reasons why number one is because of compounding interest right like again I’m not a finance guy so my finance people out there know this women are me but some famous dude said that the grace invention the world’s compounding interest right and Sydney’s truth like compounding customers right like every single person that buys the extra seekers book the Kama Sutra book or watches the webinar by click funnels like I’m switching all those people all those the goals every single one of them just to be completely transparent with no hidden agenda the goal of all of those the scheme ins people that their new opportunity their vehicle is funnels right so I’m convincing you hey you’re an expert you need a funnel hey you have an internet business you’re a doc I’m serious book you need a funnel hey perfect webinar you need a funnel hey click follows you to funnel like that’s my only goal like I want to be completely up for like all my friend and funnels like that’s the goal there’s to give its people at wherever I’m grabbing it that they need a funnel in fact I’m working right now on a new report called network marketing secrets calm yes I own how cool is that and that’s the whole reason that friend instrument every network marketer that they need a funnel and I’m gonna same thing for other markets like like that’s my whole thing right now soon as someone believes that they need a funnel which they do then now I’m stacking I’m compounding on top of that right so then I compound excuse me I compound you know hey if your funnel you need funnel scripts hey if you have funnel you need to traffic to fill your funnel you need maybe become certified you may need this I mean it’s like everything else is just is opportunity stacking within the opportunity I switch people into and so building your business and you’re stuck at one two three million bucks which is kind of where a lot of you know I was stuck out for a decade and so I understand the squirrel it’s because we keep switching our customers to keep opportunity switching and we’re switching from opportunity to opportunity opportunity opportunity and what happens after a while they kind of lose faith in you they’re like oh this person’s like tell me all these other things like the reason why we’ve done more in the last three years than the prior decade times like five right is because everything I’m doing is like people look at that I know Russell’s keys still preaching the same thing funnels are the key there’s this other thing that how do you trafficking your funnels oh yeah that makes total sense oh here’s the live event teaching more funnels like everything we’re doing is stacking upon that and so it’s not like I’m switching people from opportunity opportunity I’m saying no you chose the right Road this is this is the path this is the new opportunity to focus on now I’m gonna give you more tools more assets to amplify your experience and make it better for you and that’s how we get from through a million to ten to 100 is is that part right cuz funnels are awesome but make my knife click funnels to make money off funnel scripts make for like all these other pieces that that lead more people into it and so that was what I what I told this person I came back and said look I think the biggest problem is not you know the skills you do it’s not the amount of product you do it’s it’s that like if you were so passionate about that market when you hit a million dollars then you would around deeper Nike what software can create these people what certifications what events what are you would’ve gotten deeper trying to think of those things which is the back end funnels which where the the majority of the profit that’s where for me it’s where the other ninety million dollars came from but because they weren’t as passionate about it they gave me the million bucks and I figure out what and how for their customers but it wasn’t right for them if it would have been right for them they were sat there and all day long think about how I served as person more what else they need what else they want they would have heard the person’s voice over and over and over again and they would have known right like click rocks came out of me knowing if you hear people talk about finals all the time right all these other things like people are telling us over and over and over you what they want what they need so we just were creating those things for them and that’s how the business grows and grows and grows and so yeah I think that’s that’s the key is figure out what and how for your customer the house making shirts it’s the what for you cuz if it’s the wrong business for you if it’s not something you’re getting out about you’ll keep keep switching that’s okay there’s nothing wrong at that you want to hit hit the perfect business the first time a lot of times the first getting from zero to a million the first time is about you getting a skill set understanding the market and learning all these kind of things but same time if you’re going there and you need a million bucks you’re I’m not happy here like that’s okay like it’s okay to back up and shut it down and figure it out you got all the skills you got the hard part done it’s easier to refigure out he’s gonna figure like what is it that you’re so insanely passionate about what market segments what people what problems do you want to solve so much so that it’s gonna keep you up and I try to figure the next thing like what else right great what’s the next product what software do they need what what events like what like what are the training if they bought this course what’s the next thing they need like what’s that and just like that and that’s I think the key so anyway I just got excited because like I said I’ve stalking this person and kind of sharing out with them and just this whole whole i compounding interest you know that’s the cool thing is that every single person buys on my books they come into my world and now they’re gonna buy the next thing the next thing the next thing you look at like like all all the other revenue is all free they got off to re pay for that customer on after I always kind of think this so it just keeps growing and growing and growing as opposed to when you’re having things in different markets everything’s like that it doesn’t compound that was my problem before we had 12 companies we launched an in a 12 month period of time I wish it was once a month one a month we were launched tonight 12:01 so I was even worse but the interesting thing is just thinking about you know anybody who bought like the couponing product would never buy any other products that was the biggest mistake and then people who bought this the weight loss product never bought the other ones it was just like that’s the issues like it wasn’t compounding we had to recreate customers every single time and I think the big first time either so that was hanging I was Ryan Deiss and Perry Belcher and they have a bunch of businesses and they fry I think they kind of straight from this because they wouldn’t deep in the survival market didn’t they did within the survivalist I buy that but but what Ryan told me said they st. I’m launching the business at one of our rules is that our existing customer base they have to be wanting to buy it so that way we’ve got free traffic free that we were everything’s compound here I have some advise this this from this business the male’s mindfulness as well yeah well I agree with that excuse me I’d go even a step deeper and not do it just just in the same market do it within or ya know not just parallel market so I’d say pick one market and then you get an opportunity stack all as deep as you can go so anyway that’s what I got it’s hard in the garage hopefully something echoey anyway I’m gonna go figure how to try to fix his license plate my wife so she’ll be impressed with me that’s the goal just all the women out there know the men’s only real purpose in life is try to impress their spouse that’s it we’re good with everything else so I’m gonna try to do that so when she gets home she’ll be impressed anyway appreciate you guys thanks for listening and I’ll talk to you all again soon would you like to see behind the scenes of what we’re actually doing each day to grow our company if so then go subscribe to our free behind the scenes reality TV show at WWF NL hacker TV

good morning good morning everybody welcome to marketing secrets we’re right out watching a little bit at Studio C which maybe think it’s something really funny and that’s what we’re kicking off this episode of marketing secrets podcast so the big question is this how are entrepreneurs like us who didn’t cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets how do we mark it in everybody so it’s a Saturday we are less than a week away from our big viral video launch and there’s so many more pieces going into it’s kind of crazy and we’ve got a little stressed out not gonna lie we’ve still got sales page the demo sequence we’ve got the arm boarding we’ve got the off-boarding we’ve got the gamification we’ve got to show me how Walker is all going live in the next six days the program keeps coming out on Monday which I’m excited for and then Oh in between there we also happen to have a three day event so we did yes we were filming a video thing for fun on TV we talked about funnel years and how each funnel years one day so it’s like oh we’ve got like four funnel years before the next live event and we got six funnel years before the the the viral video launch we got plays every we’ll start saying that yes every everyday in the real world as a funnel year cuz you getting more than a year the most we done today if you using click funnels alright so uh I actually have someone talking about today so I’m when watching ever since whole viral video thing it’s been fun like this whole new science of marketing that’s been opened my mind that was different before right it’s funny like with hangouts Harmon brothers and these guys are like script writers and all sort of stuff and I’m talking about copywriting I was like I was like so like who do I study like what do you mean like like I don’t know the Halbert did you listen to you know Pennsylvania like whose guys you study for copywriting like who’s Gary Halbert what it’s like what Dan can you what about am i naming off like the legends Riley Clayton make pieces I always think that I can never have any of them I’m like how are you guys like the best video copywriters on earth you never heard of copy or copy anyway it’s just so funny in there yeah we just you know they get sketch comedy writers who were really funny and then they try to even sales principles into it and it’s funny because anyway it’s just it’s just interesting I’m one thing they said is that like we just go – we go – oh sorry Kickstarter and look at all the best Kickstarter campaigns watch those videos and what are they doing what’s consistently working it’s like like if I was if I had training on copywriting it’s like I tell them I go to Kickstarter just go watch like 8000 videos and you’ll learn good copy it’s interesting and then one of our one of the main writers for our script was Matt Meese from Studio C which you know Studio C is like that’s I just watching a minute ago go watch Studio C it’s it’s it’s the best show on TV it’s like Saturday live but it’s a bunch of Mormons who do it and it’s clean it’s let’s fake family-friendly and it’s awesome and you guys love it it’s awesome but it’s like simply like these the guys right screw the the scripts for Studio C like there’s some of the best like copy writers in the world they only know copy is they just know how to engage people who grab intention and interest and desire like they’ve learned it through in a different format which is kind of cool so anyway so that’s ed likes but funnily I’ve been trying to like different ways to to grab people and to get them and so can my first test is um it’s been interesting is like you know this is my podcast obviously guys are listening to you so I do the podcast right and sometimes your podcast and I hear Mutchler times they get part I do a podcast and you’re always messages from people who write thank you thank us and so that’s my pull over there making a lot of noise I’m gonna come on the side like for example like the entrepreneurial scars podcast I did tons or is like people messaging me from everywhere like thank you that was so cool entrepreneurs be struggling in vacations that one like hit right it’s like and there’s a whole bunch of them that people resonate with more so than than other ones for some reason right and so I was thinking I’m like you know podcast is really cool format to teach and train until I get inside people’s minds and I love it but it’s not like a podcasts are hard to share there is harder than viral those Kenting so I was like I’m gonna start taking the podcasts I have there the most impact that people connect with the most and which I turn those into like videos it’s like a viral video that’ll call up my people right because I’m a this is resonating people so much so that they’re able to get a hold of me which is not easy I had a lot of walls every direction but they get to me it means that there’s there’s this it was worth it was worth focusing on right and so like the entrepreneur vacation I was in when I was in Hawaii with my wife I was like I’m gonna try I’m just gonna record a little video this and instead of being like off the cuff like I am right now I was like I’m gonna like script it out and I write it like a minute a half two minute video talking about how I why entrepreneurs suck it it going on vacations so I wrote the script set up a camera on the beach house and I just recorded this thing you got home and had Kevin on our team go through and like make it a little viral video thing you know had a music and energy and just kind of and it’s probably more producing then so the other ones I’m to test it make sometimes under less Bruce do better anyway who knows but if you look at it was it was it was not me talking about funnels right like this funnels my world but like I I needed to go level bigger if I want to go cut like semi viral right like niche viral or whatever they call it I needed Co one level bigger so that would that you would like grab my people so for me like I want entrepreneurs who are selling stuff through funnels like that’s that’s my dream to get people right but a lot of mantras or not yet so it’s like I got a connection them at at a level that we can connect at so it’s like I’m gonna call out entrepreneurs right so entrepreneurs I think of the video titles like why entrepreneurs suck it vacations in fact I had the audio at a couple episodes back CEA’s who were listening to the to the audio podcast heard it like I think last week ago today actually so you kind of hear it but it’s me on the beach house and doing it right and so it’s calling out entrepreneurs was calling my people and then trying to have them connect with me right and so I did this video put it together we launched it and you know it’s not like 18 million views right headed app I think we’re at 70 or 80 thousand views in the last seven days which is awesome so I mean 70,000 entrepreneurs have I connected to make and the comments are crazy like oh my gosh you understand me that’s how I feel too and like they’re tagging their wives and their friends and their kids all sorts of stuff and it’s just it’s just cool it connect it’s not on Shores I’m hiking with down the right who’s this weird dude who I connected with and then they you know now they ship from being just entrepreneurs like entrepreneur soon I’ll maybe read the book or their whatever and they get deeper deeper with me and eventually they are building funnels which is where I want everybody to be because that’s how you change the world you build funnels so anyway I just thought it was interesting and I’m gonna be doing more those women probably the next one will be the entrepreneurial scars then I go down the courthouse or something to record it there and be like bankruptcy or who knows I got a right sugar for it first but I saw this really cool thing and so what I reason I’m telling you someone I want you just to think about this so think about the thing that you’re selling right so whatever it is you’re selling they try to go one step broader so there’s more mass appeal so that like who are the people that you love to have buyer thing even though they’re not ready yet so go one step one level deeper who are those people and then what message do you have did they make yes you get me yes that’s me that’s what best we’re looking for right and then and then try to make a little video speaking to those people so they’ll connect with you right so forget my examples vacations like entrepreneur suck on vacations because we want to get back to work right and like entre NORs relate to that right and so that’s why I called out my people and they’re connecting down it’s really really cool so for you how do you call it your people who are your people first off right and don’t like I mean you’re going one a year product going one step broader than that so people that don’t know who you are yet right but they would connect with you does that make sense so hopefully that makes sense so for me I’m not talking about necessarily marketers and talking about entrepreneurs right marketers are people who get like what we do right they understand that’s why the marketing secrets podcast that’s why like all this seems like you guys are marketers like you understand it you’re excited about selling it it’s like you as a resident message dog no matter what so I’m triangle one level bigger so that is the ability to go more viral but also has the ability connect more people and then bring them down down into our into our funnels into our worlds this is the front of this is this we’re gonna fill your funnel this is the front of the the value ladder right this is how your casting a wider net and bringing them in so you figure out who are your people call them out and then what are things that you believe that they would resonate with that the rest the world think is really really weird right like honestly was funny when I was making that video I was really be concerned that my wife was there I’m like I don’t want to offend her but I saw Phil and I know that I thought referrers feel this way I talked to him about it like people tell me all the time you go tracking vacation people like how’s your vacation I’m like it was good so glad me back so I can get back to like it stop it stop stressing out which is it’s just like like I know that that’s how I always felt so think about what the things that you feel because what you do or because who you are that other people like you will resonate with but the rest of the world think you’re weird I think that’s you’re looking for like those kind of things right and and then create something around that and then just put it out there who knows it may go viral may not doesn’t matter because doing it and and so for me I’m gonna try to do like once or twice a month try to try to pick a podcast episode I’ve done or or come with an idea or something that’s just like here’s a cool story I can tell that the entrepreneurs will connect with that’ll give them to like me follow me from me whatever and then do the process I can get them to buy the book what’s up everybody’s russell brunson welcome to late night in the wrestling room edition and marketing seekers podcast so the big question is this power entrepreneurs like us you didn’t cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets probably mark it in a way that lets us get our products and our services and the things that you believe in out of the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is russell brunson and welcome to marketing secrets alright alright everybody so I spent almost five five or six hours today with the kids in my little piece of heaven here cleaning today so this is an external garage or a house that I just had to turn to resting rooms those who never seen it before and it’s awesome about wrestling math I got gladiator walls we got Bulgarian bags over here we got paintings my favorite wrestlers back here we’ve got throwing dummies we got the girls stuff here for the girls these are actually the wrestling mats I used to wrestle on in high school they were on my back deck growing up so this little nostalgia for you that’s cool and then yeah this is the weight room side of it so this is where we we do what we do and it’s it’s awesome so as I was working today yeah it was out like I said we’re out kind of middle nowhere so there’s lots of spiders ants bugs the stuffs always bug choppers and stuff and so probably three or four months I come and do a deep clean write to you the vacuum out and throw away all the dead spiders and like wreak lean and like yeah it’s kind of a nightmare but it’s really fun now it’s clean like it’s so clean right now I just I love it makes my workout so um but anyway during all of this craziness today of cleaning having fun like that I was checking my phone couple times throughout and I saw a post from Julia Stone and I thought it was interesting because she asked hey should I pay off my house or should I pull the money out and use that for other investments and things like that and it’s funny because I gave my answer it was like the exact opposite of what I think a lot of people thought I would I would think and I think it’s good so I’m gonna give you my advice right now because I know when I was a little kid my dad who’s an entrepreneur and has a couple businesses and you know someone who first got me all excited by this whole thing he’s always told me he’s like you’d pay off your house you’d pay a fiancee I feel as quick as you can and I remember cuz I was like okay that’s good advice and then when I got older I remember reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and other like investment books and like they always talking about a house is a bad investment you know you know I keep keep the money as low as possible and then but I gives that to pay off you know I keep your house just down the minimum pay monthly payments and keep that money and go and invest in other things we can produce more money and logically it makes sense right if I was an investment dude teaching people invest and I’d be like yes you should not pay off your house should keep the you know keep the payments or keep you know keep the equity and there’s lowest possible strip to cash out because you can use that in other investment vehicles so it makes sense as an investor but I don’t consider myself an investor now I am getting dabbling in the crypto currencies Todd Dickerson my partner cliff funnel says making insane amounts of money so he’s showing me the ways of the crypto world but I still never convinced consider myself an investor I consider myself an entrepreneur and it’s funny because when I first saw Audrey in those books I started believing that start believing that and then I talked to my dad as like dad why don’t you pull your money out cuz my dad’s like buys houses pays him off in the cash flow buys houses pays him off cash flow and then he did his own house and I was like dad like what are you thinking you’re crazy and I remember like one night he just kept homies like he’s like Russell you have to understand there’s something there’s something about knowing that your house is paid off that knowing that like the worst-case scenario that your house is there it gives you the ability as an entrepreneur to go on risk and that’s like huh and I don’t think I really got it like you know I heard him I’m like you know young son thinking he knows everything and um don’t think I got it at first I just like okay okay whatever and then you know the next 10 next decade of my life started happening after that and in that decade I’ve seen some really big ups and some like big downs and it’s really bigger ups and some big downs and right now I’m on an upcycled and there may be a time when I go back down and that sucks and scary and I have a lot of fear and anxiety around that just cuz I’ve cycled twice and I know that feeling I know the fear I know the all those things I have a constant he part of reason what drives me so hard people always ask like why don’t you slow down dude you’re doing pretty well on my backside the psyche internal fear of like I remember what that was like to cycle I’m trying to like protect myself through the hustle or through I don’t know whatever whatever that is and so I think that’s a big driver force for me but during this these cycles and luckily we recovered from them but a couple things I that I noted things got really bad a couple times but same time like I never I’m just probably wrong dude I never told my wife a lot about what was happening and she found out later I actually if she was at last phone-hacking live or I did the presentation on all my maya failure sushi I saw a few episodes back and he and she was like what she said I didn’t rise it was that bad like really tell you supposed to be the man should be like anyway and but like for her I knew that like I had to have security so I knew how much like we there’s an amount of money every single month that she would that she got that would like cover the rent or another her house payments are billed so by that I just knew like as long as I can make at least that like I was looking at risking and trying and doing things long as the worst-case scenario like my stability my foundation was set and so on and so uh that was that was it and like during those those rocky scary times everything it was just like I knew the worst-case scenario I could always produce enough money that she there like nothing at home was affected so it gave me the ability to risk him to roll the dice and to try things and so for entrepreneurs I think that sucking the cash at your house investing in other places is the worst advice ever because then you’re on this unstable foundation sure you have more money to invest and there you can make more such things but it takes away your ability to risk okay risk is what makes an entrepreneur great right then we’ve got the risk emitted jump off cliffs all the time but risk is scary it’s like the only way for us to be able to increase the level of risk tolerance we have I think is also the increase the stability tolerance on the other side right like paying off your house is smart because worst case scenario of everything all the crap hits the fan everything falls apart if you’ve done that and you’ve paid off your house worst case scenario you you still have the stability of a home for your wife and your kids and your you know whatever and that is like that’s the key that’s that’s like that gives you the ability now to go and do the crazier things yeah like if anyway so that’s my advice for all you guys pay off your house paid off fast pickups quick she can because as you do that and as you as the stability the anchor gets stronger and stronger and stronger on this side your ability to risk over here without the fear of losing that usually bility to risk more and be able to do what you need to do because entrepreneurship is a lot of like literally rolling the dice this viral video we’re doing I keep telling what I’m like you know typically my investments in our business are very strategic right we create funnel we invest some money we get it converting then we ramp it up really fast like I’m not risking a ton like this is the biggest one where it’s like to create the video we had to write a five hundred thousand dollar check like okay there was a million dollars right put it all in black and then you know at the launch party and launch party between everything we danced put another three or four I mean it’s close to what I’ll send it’ll be close to a million bucks like all on black legs okay let’s go and hopefully it’ll work right but the nice thing is it like because of the stability on other things we’ve set up like I can take that risk and it’s okay cuz if worst-case scenario it’ll be okay you know the I’ve talked about some other episodes the podcast you know the thing that so often keeps on tumors from success is the fear of the worst case scenario you have to be able to look at the worst case scenario they I’m okay with that and if you are then you can jump forward some timers we never look at the worst-case scenario we’re just always like we don’t want to we don’t want look like what the thing that we’re scared of right so we see the thing we want I’m going forward but there’s this nagging theme back your head just like worst case Center what if I go bankrupt what am I my wife fleas and what if my kids think I’m a bad dad like all these these fears that are happening we try to ignore him but because we’re normally there’s like buzzing in our ear and our subconscious mind so because of that they just keep coming to he coming and I was telling stories like if you want to be free and might be able to risk you have to stop you’ve looked back Doug what’s the worst-case scenario back there if everything goes to crap like what happens and until you’re okay with that it’s so hard to move forward it’s a lot of us we have to stop his okay what’s the worst-case scenario okay I remember that the LA Times you know I’ve had a couple times worst case scenario was bankruptcy worst case scenario was losing my house worst case and those are man those are scary now at the beginning all times that’s you have to take that you have to have the initial risk yet be okay at Calif I if I lose my house it’s okay if I go bankrupt it could be okay but as you get as you start rolling up into bigger opportunities bigger risk bigger things like that it’s nice look back taking a worst-case scenario it was my money on this deal so now my house – my wife’s got my kids I got security gives you the risk big so pee off your house there’s my advice it goes against all the famous investing dudes but I think they’re wrong and I think most those guys aren’t entrepreneurs like us so that’s what we do we’re entrepreneurs we’re risking making the world a better place and
