what’s up everybody this is russell brunson and welcome to a late night and marketing seekers podcast so the big question is this power arch Brewers like us who didn’t cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets how do we mark it in a way the lets us get our products and our services and the things that we believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable the question in this podcast will give you the answers my name is russell brunson and welcome to marketing secrets everyone I’m in my home tonight right now my wife and my kids are asleep I’m about to head to bed I still got kind of a stuffy nose hiya my Monday my my cold went away and then Todd and Ryan and Karen and Nick and everybody bunch of people flew in town this week to do big hackathon and working on some new updates and click funnels to click funnels action XMD and a bunch of just insane cool things we’ll be showing it for lacking live and we basically pulled two all-nighters in a row and lo and behold Michael came back so now we have official proof that sleep does correlate to if you’re gonna get sick or not so yeah he’s just sleeping robbed it’s it’s not actually what home early it’s a little after 10:00 so let me get some sleep tonight which I’m excited for but wanted to share a quick message with you guys that thought was really cool I was kind of just catching up with my boxers of my inner circle members and and answering them and I had a really cool conversation tonight sue boxer with one minor circle members these clickfunnels member to combo club winner and inner circle members named akbar she clawed you guys may know him he’s very prominent in our community and it was a really cool conversation and I’m not gonna share the whole thing because you know first off just confidentiality with my clients second off it doesn’t matter kind of the end result of what we talked about and it being really cool and I thought it it would spend a little bit sharing with all of you guys I think it’s important so what Akbar he was talking he was just basically talking about you know business owners who and entrepreneurs have success and then a lot of times they they stop being humble and there’s a concept there’s concept called the the pride cycle so those who you know what’s the seminary like I did there’s a concept called pride cycle instead of pride cycle works cab so first is you are humble right and you’re eager to learn and try to grow whatever I did you because of that because you’re humble you sure have a success you start learning and growing you’re developing and they go this this circle rise to those who listen you can’t see my finger but those are watching I’m making a circle my fingers they started going up hearing success I start learning you more to get things happen and also you get to the very top and boom you’re having success and then what happens was I have a success we start drinking our own kool-aid we start become prideful which I think in man I am amazing and what happens at the top of that then this is the backside of the pride cycle where then the Lord or whoever it is humbles you and basically you become humble in to the point you end back in the very bottom and you cycled and then hopefully your humphs officially humble where you can learn and grow and then you start this process up again and you go up and then you top the cycle and then usually people top become prideful and then they crashing this is pride cycle right and this is happening around all day long is it happening in since the beginning of time you can see in political leaders religious leaders you can see it and people humans author like any anyone in your own life you’ve seen I guarantee you’ve seen it if you step back and look at your own life you see the pride cycle and and it’s it’s it’s a true thing that’s happening right and so we were talking about it’s like you know I need people a lot of times to ask me like we’re all so how come you know how do you stay humble things happening I was like because I’m scared the pride cycle I’ve gone on the full loop and the bottoms not very much fun so I’m trying to figure out like how do I stay up here and the thing that I know is that when you’re prideful you have to crash if you believe scripture you know says the Lord will have our humble people either you will be humble or he will humble you somebody okay I’m gonna be humble because I don’t want to be humble that’s horrible and essentially I was next thing I kind of told Akbar was about my friend I was in Mexico on this marketing thing and I was talking to this guy I became a friend later he’s super wealthy you know buys and sells businesses and makes you know ton of money and was interesting as we were talking he wanted to hear my story so of course his most entrepreneurs do I tell my highlight reel how cool I am and he’s like oh and not impressed I’m like huh and he asked he’s like he’s like so he’s always just had success and that’s like uh I kind of told my mic well twice I pretty much bankrupted my companies and and and he said well tell me that story that story sounds more interesting so I kind of tell this story and and he’s like good good what do you mean good that’s not good and he’s like no he’s like you cycled he said I’ll never work with entrepreneur has a cycle at least once and so he cycled he said you built the company you’ve crashed it’s like if you have a cycle is like you’re still gonna drink your own kool-aid read your own bio and believe it and he’s like it’s not gonna be good and I was like oh how cool is that first off cycling sounds way cooler than failing but second off I was just like how interesting it’s a pride cycle right he would all think he only works in his at least cycled once because they’re sufficiently humble or they listen to advice they’re gonna they’re gonna grow and so Akbar and I were kind of talking about this and then his message back was like well he’s like I’ve been down the bottoms like but I’ve gotten this power kind of top he’s like I don’t I don’t want that to be part of my story I don’t want the crashing part of my story like what do I do and so I just want to show this piece of ice cuz this is time I told him and I think that it’s important for all of us to think about so what I told him I said well first off Formica business like basically I learned is like yes he’s like is you know is about diversification is that the key that’s like well kind of like I believe in diversification in in some things but not your business I think everyone should go like whatever you want what if your business is gonna be like you should go all it like you should diversify your business I think having multiple businesses is the fastest way to destroy your business I know that from personal experience from a decade of it so this is not me just philosophizing this is me doing a lot of businesses and none of them could grow having a sole focus you’re not diversifying your businesses you’re diversifying the pieces around your business like where are the singular failure points for me my first time or the second biggest big business crash was I was running a one-person account and that was it it’s like oh and so it was like diversification of merchant accounts to protect myself so if this goes out this goes out like I have protection right that was number one in like two participation of traffic sources like yesterday yesterday’s podcast I talked about the Facebook slap that’s coming it’s like if if all your eggs are the Zuckerberg basket like you could be in trouble idle surreal that all their eggs were Google’s basket was PPC and PPC shifted businesses gone when with SEO and SEO shifted businesses gone like diversifying your traffic source like et make sure you get in traffic’s released to sources if you have a sales person these two sells as if you got a programmer at least two program like diversification inside the business to protect it but not a diversification of your business like you shouldn’t be doing five different businesses that’s the opposite of good that’s number one and then number two is trying to remain humble and it’s hard sometimes right like it’s like I need to keep myself sufficiently humble because if not I’m gonna be humbled so it’s like what does that mean well for maybe it’s praying to God I means not being a jerk means remembering that it’s not me like it’s an amazing team of people remembering that the only reason right I’ve been given these gifts and these blessings is because there’s a purpose for it I’m trying to help other people if I lose sight of those things and my head can grow fast and I understand like I have a fat head anyway I can’t wear hats this is actually a true story I can’t wear hats cuz I have a fat this is my circumference in my head is enormous I’ve tried my whole life to wear hats and I can’t you’ll never see me in hat ever because my head so fat so my head will continue to grow and swell that’s like number two is like just being aware of it being aware of where you are this pride cycle like if you were sufficiently humble that’s that’s good Mike stay there and then as you start a successful cuz it’s hard number two thing was I look at all the people that I know that have over the last 50 years of doing this and I’ve seen people go through the cycle the ones that don’t make it back up are the ones who are too prideful to learn blows my mind between Christmastime and now I’ve had three close friends who have had days businesses who have crashed who couldn’t be saying here Russell I see you’re doing is there any way I could come to your office and shadow you just see what you do so I can understand so I can get my business back up and all of our close friends and it’s like yeah I would I would definitely be game for that but first you gotta read my two books read x-force secret and dot-com secrets cuz like that’s like that’s the foundation read those and then let me know and then you can come in so I told them that of them have read the books and then will come they won’t learn I’m like are you kidding me like I feel like I think at this time in my life like I’m the top of my game I think give this to me my head starts whoa I don’t think there’s a lot of people who who understand marketing better than me at this point marketing and sales like it not because of a big ego but just like like I’ve dedicated a decade and a half of this right and like at a high level like super intense super immersion super Reich not just theory of a testing testing like I don’t think there’s many people have warned that but I also think more people to study more than me I still study because I want to stay sufficiently humble like I’m always learning like I in mastermind groups I pay other people for coaching I have multiple coaches happening all the time on my phone if I was to show you my iBooks account I have I would say conservatively at this point probably three hundred fifty to four hundred thousand dollars in courses on my phone that I listen to every single day old school stuff new stuff I’m always trying to learn because I because I don’t want the market to shift and be be left behind I need to be sufficiently humble so I can continue to learn so I can see what’s happening me awake where of the trends be aware of the Evergreen things that are never gonna shift and just like I’m always learning partially for me also I heard rich schefren say this one time he’s like I get paid to think for a lot of people and he’s like that’s right to learn and study because like then I share with other people and I’m thinking for other people I feel like I feel an obligation that – like I have a lot of people following me listening to me and like I need to consume and learn and keep on top of the game so I continue to give back because I get paid from everyone from my tribe – to contribute back that’s number two and then the third thing is sometimes we need to disciple and some that’s not always because you’re prideful some is just you’re going the wrong direction now look at I look at my business over the last 15 years like I was running in a direction and I thought I was right at the time and maybe it was right time like I learned a lot of things and a lot of people and we serve people as best we do at the time and then everything crashed and because that thing shifted and then I started running this direction running already the best I could best I understood I made a lot of mistakes but then amazing people I learned I learned and learned build this thing up and then it crashed again and then I shifted and I look at during those times during the crashes I was just like devastating I thought I was doing the right thing I thought I was you know I thought I was doing what I was supposed to be doing but it didn’t work so apparently something was wrong and a lot of times with me it’s not because you’re something wrong maybe it’s that God needed you over here but you’re running this direction so he had like to force this thing so you’d be humble enough to listen to move and then BOOM well how about left listen to be able to move again and you know I look at my life now I look at the path I look at you know the people that that I met because of these these things that I would have met otherwise that if they’ll clickfunnels like I did I met Todd because of a crash here I met Dave because of this time at brendham at gentlemen only field my team Ryan like all these amazing and I mean there’s some real in team and I could go on for hours but those people were I can picked up each of those turning these these journeys use up some these downs that kada part of our team that made the foundation we needed to be able to build clickfunnels and look at now my life like man can you think they closed those things were necessary so sometimes you know you could be doing everything right but you you just have to trust God God may need your business to crash for him to get you to where he needs you at and it’s just beautiful that and like okay in fact I was talking to Taylor it was the other day some of the other day about that in my in my own life I was just like you know clickfunnels is awesome I love it I believes my mission but maybe there’s maybe like this might be not be the end mission maybe there’s something I suppose you over here and maybe like what does that mean like I don’t know yeah I just need to pay attention I try to be sufficiently humble so like when it comes it’s like hey I need maybe maybe the business crashes maybe I need to sell the business maybe I need to keep it forever I don’t know but trying to like be humble enough to listen so that we know it what’s the plan where we’re trying to go so kind of stuffy back and putting our faith in God and saying look I’ll go where you want me to go I’ll do we need to do if you need this to end that’s okay and what am i learn from this more I can go from here so I know I hope that helps somebody out there who’s listening because it’s uh it’s it’s pretty cool pretty special so there you go there’s the pride cycle this is uh seminary early morning seminary I had to go to no more seminary seminary 101 but that’s that’s what happens and so for you guys to understand that I can’t where you at your this pride cycle are you at the bottom of you are you humble so awesome like cherish that study learned grow like stay humble and then start profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets all right everybody I have been prophesying of this for so long and for those who were new the newbies who lament online for a year or two years or five years or eight years I wanted to give you a history lesson so the network’s they don’t like you or me just like you like money from big brands who don’t annoy them who describe big checks and don’t we’re gonna big huge marketing budgets and don’t care if they’re profitable or not people like us who care about a direct ROI acid direct response guys they don’t like us very much but they they they adore us for a little while because it builds their platform and then they smash us so that’s happening Google back in the day they were awesome then they smashed us as what happened to every platform as I’ve been around for now 15 years you probably heard of the Google slap and then the other Google slap then the other Google slap and then this and then it’s and I kept warning people Mike don’t put all your eggs in Zuckerberg basket Zuckerberg doesn’t care about you and we talked about that in fact I did a whole presentation it felt like he lied about that last year but it’s happening the Facebook slap has officially begun Zuckerberg just announced it about a week ago and I want to let you guys know a couple things because the facebook slap is actually a really good thing for people like you and me who are doing funnels if you’re not doing a funnel now this is going to force you to finally to learn and understand funnels all right so here’s the context Zuckerberg came out it was like hey we’re gonna change how Facebook’s algorithm works so instead of I’m having they he said that this algorithm change makes the less people if people spend less time on Facebook which seems insane but this will try to try squeeze out the direct response marketers and and build a bigger platform for the brand new marketer so that works what they do is he’s making it so that what you’ll see now more so is more of your actual interactions with friends right so your feet will have less business stuff and more more brand stuff right receive the more personal interaction so you see more your friends stuff you see fan page some of that are gonna be dropping dramatically and a groups will go up because groups say their social interaction so groups and your personal stuff you’ll see a lot more of in your feet and you’ll see a lot less of business pages fan pages and ads so what’s gonna happen because there’s less staff you scroll through and just like mindlessly scroll you actually spend less time on Facebook that’s his plan so you spend less time on flase Facebook there’ll be less ad spots and and when supply and demand does that little thing guess what happens the price goes up so ad costs will be going up they’re shown some stats and basically in the first quarter so speed up like cameras thirty or forty percent and by the NVR almost a hundred percent increase in ad cost and so what does that mean for people like us a couple things number one it means that the competition a lot of these people are just throwing facebook ads becoming ad experts overnight they are going to be gone they will not be able to sustain it anymore and most intelligent enough to diversify their traffic off Facebook a couple things for us marketing seekers people and our funnel hackers we are smart enough to know there’s more than one way to drive traffic Facebook is a source not the only source and if you’ve been looking your business that way then you’re fine and if not it’s now time to start diversifying like freak out yes freak out diversify now if you wait for a year to diversify a lot of you guys will be in trouble so just diversify now start looking at other traffic sources I’ll get YouTube look at your own podcasts looking at all these things using this time now where ads are still a little bit cheaper to drive people to these other networks to build up your podcast to build up your email list things like that build up your midi chat lists like those kind of things because the ad costs are dramatically number two we’ve been talking about this is day number one to click funnels right whoever can spend the most money to acquire customer wins that’s the first chapter the introduction of comm secrets book if you haven’t read it go and read it cop secret cop go get the book because help you understand that who ever could spend the most money to acquire a customer wins and that costs go up you have spent more money to acquire our customer that’s actually a good thing it means all of these little people who are just dabbling are gonna go away because they’re not able to spend more money now for us the intelligent ones we’re studying marketing and sales and funnels that’s okay that’s what we build funnels okay um you know I think last year 2017 and a lot of people who got away with one funnel and they made a really good income I think that’s gonna be harder and harder I think understand the concept of funnel stacking we talk a lot about in our community here where you have one funnel then that leads to the next funnel is vital it’s can be vital to your success having a fully developed value ladder is gonna be vital to your success now a couple things on value ladder I want to just touch on I wish I could rewrite the whole chapter dot-coms book because everyone thinks that they need these like complex value ladders for 80 steps click funnels right now it’s 3 steps that’s it ok we’ve got all the front ends on the front step we got click funnels webinar ourselves click funnels in the middle and then we’ve got our coaching program that’s not even available right now but will be after fall on key live on the back end that’s it so there’s SB complex but there needs to be levels you needed cuz your front and funnels once it used to be profitable are gonna be break-even funnels if that’s your entire business you’re gonna struggle ok so the good news is the facebook slap is come we know what’s happening now and it’s not like when Google slapped us it was like they just turn us off overnight we all we all just got shut down right now you’ve got about a year over the next year you’ll see your ad costs go up 50 to 100 percent so just be aware about so now it’s time to start understanding that and putting in ok this funnels to acquire customers if I’m profitable right now it’s awesome if I’m gonna be profitable in six months if they add if my ad cost a double or if they go 50 percent or like if not and I start tweaking that it’s like hey we’ve acquired a customer through this funnel now I need to send them up the value out and there’s your profit okay so if you’ve been following me and you listening to the stuff you’ve read the dot-com secrets book you’ve read the experts secrets book you’ve gone into this this shouldn’t freak you out okay but if you haven’t yeah you should be a little nervous you should go get calm seekers read it understand sales funnels value add right these are the core principles that works as date number one okay excuse me this is not something new in fact um you know it’s it’s crazy the online world’s made this so easy I can traditional off like a guy I cut my teeth learning this game with Bill Glaser Dan Kennedy and all these people who are doing direct mail and classified ads and TV where it’s like nobody breaks even on TV right you lose money and you lose money four five six seven months before you’re profitable like and so like that’s where my foundation came from that’s the dot-com secret book teaches that foundation and I think we’ve been spoiled because it’s been so cheap to acquire media online and that’s been awesome and hopefully new platforms will continue to rise up that we can come in and we can arbitrage attention from it for at a discount but just be aware that right now Facebook is now shifting to make that transformation this is the first facebook slump I got a little bitty slap about a year and half ago to start shutting down add accounts but they they took the gas pedal off that one and it made a little bit easier were sipping ice but this one’s happened and it’s not going away and so it’s like now is the time to prepare for it starting to get get better at acquiring customers on your front end funnels and getting better at sending him to the next step this will be a huge steam of funnel hacking live I got some crazy amazing presentations for all my funnel hackers you guys will learn about some of these things but friend I just wanted to give you guys the voice of morning because this is what happening but luckily this is not like a shot where you just get shot and you die like Peck in the google days we’ve got time but it’s all about understanding that preparing and building out your value line go back read up secrets again read it to read three times it realize those concepts figure out your value about it identify it figure out your break-even funnels acquire customers profitably now so you can get to the point where you’re breaking even it’s six months to a year from now and then be able start sending people up so the Google slap is here by the funnel people funnel hackers don’t even worry it’s all gonna be good if you put fall with the Prinsloo et just add a number one you’re protected so don’t stress about it but if you’re not it’s time to start looking at that start building everybody getting prepared because it’s coming all right guys appreciate you all sorry goodbye a stuffy nose I probably sound a little funny but that’s about it so heading back to the office today we’ve got Todd Android and Nick and share something cool so if you lost listen to last podcast I kind of if I was minding but after I got out two kids wrestling practice and I was just like man that was hard and they never wanted to be there and they were they wanted to be there but it was just like it was just it was a lot harder and thought and kids broke down fights the middle of practice clothes gone to a bar class and then it’s Oakland Ellie came out North at a huge producer changing a Poupon trying to coach and they it was just crazy anyway Sunday Super Bowl Sunday we went out to the gym because I don’t know I like watch the commercials but I really care how much about football and the night before was the wrestling Super Bowl basically Penn State and Ohio State wrestled it was the greatest soil I think I’ve ever seen ever so that was my Super Bowl Saturday night Sunday was just like going to church and then play the kids so and then coming for the commercials like that’s kind of how we do it so maybe we went on the wrestling room and we’d out there at 8:00 my little seven-year-old who stuff he’s like dad watch this and he did the boobs he did him the way that I taught him he did the he did his drop step perfectly and then he came and he uh he did push pull he did his underhooks like everything a taught him he did perfectly and he was all excited and he and I was like oh my gosh it already is happening like he actually liked wrestling no he hated the entire experience the next day when he knew the move he loved it and anyway it was it was exciting and such one show to us but that was awesome so all right so I got one quick thing to share with you guys today is we’re about to start a week long crazy hackathon with Todd and Ryan everybody in-house and this isn’t do we learn from the book remote if you have another book remote yet or rework actually anything from those guys over 37signals they’re awesome but I think was remote yeah because when we’ve launched clickfunnels initially we were thinking about making every mood Boise and that kind of stuff and then we decided not to do more remote so we’ve got about 20 so people in Boise and then every else hundred and thirty people are all remote which is crazy and so we used a lot of like what Jason freed and those guys have trained on it’s like our Bible for growing our company because they grew Basecamp and they did something similar but one thing he talks about excuse me in remote was once a quarter they bring everybody in together to get that proximity and so they can work together for we they go back out on their own so that’s this week is everyone’s flying in and we’re all gonna be together and working on a bunch of really cool things for action XMD which is going live at fucking la sesión XMB Russell only the greatest thing ever if you got clickfunnels was cool before got action Dex is cool before wait till ND comes out because this is where we’re taking it to the next level I’m excited for that so I her G has the ever mo team get them together they come together Tony Robbins talks about the proximity his power and so even he have remote team that’s okay get them together flying remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets everyone so I’m here in the resting right my home why is taking it to my detached garage but those who haven’t seen it for watching the video version this is what it all looks like is my little piece of heaven here on earth and I love it so but today was the very first ever wrestling practice I did with my kids and their friends here this is the t-shirts we made because a little eccentric and can’t have a practice on a t-shirt so we made t-shirts and everything but it’s fun we had I think 12 or so boys here and for my little kids aged up to the older kids and it was a it was fun but it was hard it was anyway he’s interesting my obviously wrestling’s with my passion and my whole life one my kids Amina for some reason like they just have so much resistance to it it’s like ah I remember this year my 12 year old twins started wrestling finally and very first day they went to practice I know practice started yeah I thought of starting the next day and they came home both in tears like we hate wrestling we’re never going back and I was like oh man so I called the coach up I got to know him and he said well you should come out coach then I’m like dang it so I decided to be a assistant coach I spent the next two months two and a half months or so every day wrestling practice which ended being amazing how with the kids but it was hard cuz I reached brigly week where dad can quit yet I watched my kids go they get beat up and just like how am i by doing the right thing like part is like you got to make your kids be tough and force them to do hard things but a part of me is like man they’re not having any fun I’ve had dad for doing it anyway this is the emotional turmoil that goes through my head as I’m trying to learn this whole parenting game which is way harder than I thought was gonna be and making millions of dollars is way easier than raising kids but anyway they finished the season they had a good time and by the end of it Bowen who was the one who the most told me that wrestling’s his favorite sports I’m like yes and then Dallin he got injured pretty bad I think I did a podcast on that but he liked it as well so finally I’ve been trying to like you know season’s over like we got a wrestling in our backyard let’s like get a bunch of kids together so but trying forever and finally today was the first day we made it happen and I had my little boy ADA now here too it’s with his friends and man it was crazy cuz it’s just it’s it’s something just as you start new things again you forget like how much resistance normally comes when you start something new like I’ve been trying honestly for two years just to have this wrestling practice and then like six months ago I printed these sure so I could do this weekend and then we didn’t do it again and finally happened today and then today a man like last night Aidan my 7 year old go to bed like I can’t like I can’t go to bed now because it was like so it still weighs like 10 o’clock mate cuz we gotta get four rustling I know one wrestled the morning he’s like I got I have a homework and I have all these things and make him homework your first grade dude he’s the gap five hours of homework I can’t do resting up to a homework in the morning like whatever like just fighting this morning he was fighting I was fighting they’d want to come and then like they came out and the boys were fighting and like twins were fighting and like on the left his friends show up which was good and then we did practice and then practice wait I guess is funny in your head you’re like okay they’re all gonna listen weirdest things we’re gonna get through stuff and I was hardly an odd number of people so I’d help like be a drill partner plus coach but trying to coach everyone Plus anyway oh it was tough and there’s so much resistance and then in the end my boys are fighting they’re crying and I tried these little wrestle off stick his wrestling and – my boys are crying by the end of it say at her and like so much resistance so anyway the the reason I making this video is twofold number one I think someday it’ll be fun to come back here if I can get these kids past the initial pain of a new thing be fun to like show them this may this is date number one the practice guys this is how beat up your dad was not tired how like how bad I wanted to quit already because then you start anything new the initial resistance is insane it’s like you have to push this boulder up a hill and if you’re not insanely passionate and obsessive about what you do you’re not gonna make it up that hill there’s just too much resistance that happens initially as people tell me I’m sort of business kind of just like I’m not passionate anything I just just like do you know they just wanna do something like hey you can but there’s a lot of resistance that goes and starting a business and you gotta push this Boulder up the hill if you don’t love it ma’am you’re gonna you’re gonna yeah I can write it love rustling you’d love this tie spending time with the boys like I’d quit after today that today was as much fun as it was it was kind of horrible thank you so hard then anyway it was not horrible it was good it was just not the picture I painted my head you know and I think a lot of times we get into business we have this picture in our head of like hey this was gonna look like some amazing did you get in there like huh nobody wants my stuff Wow traffic is expensive Wow problem problem problem problem if you’re not insanely passionate initially the resistance will stop you and I’ll bury you before you ever get there so as I’m trying a new thing a new chapter in my life and being a coach of my kids which and I’m going through that resistance I just wanted to share with you guys cuz we all go through it and you know mostly as listening to this podcast here you’re here because you want to learn marketing in business and scaling and things like that and I just um you’ll probably think about hearing me talk about wrestling coaching but it’s the same principle anything new we start we will be immediately met with tons of opposition and resistance no matter what it is especially if it’s a good thing the better it is the more opposition resistance you will get and that’s a sign that you’re doing the right things and so that said I’m done I’m gonna go sit in the hot tub I’m gonna my stuff I have stuff he knows I’m kind of sick but I’m just gonna celebrate today act like it was everything I dreamt of the more so I can forget about some of the the hurdles that way we’ll be able to keep moving forward and keep doing this and I just know that I do this consistently for a month for six months for a year my kids will be good they’re gonna like it I’m gonna like it will have wrestlers that know what they’re doing and practices become fun and it’ll be awesome but it all starts somewhere so today was my starting name and wherever it is you’re starting at or wherever you are meeting the most opposition right now hopefully this gives you a little bit of hope and faith and the energy you need to push through that opposition because the amazing stuffs around the other side we’ve got to get there it’s happened so many times in my life in so many different areas and I’m excited for to happen out here the wrestling stuff long as the kids don’t quit so there’s my there’s my job it’s harder like witness yourself yet you don’t have to quit the kids right we don’t like this it’s harder but they’re liking it more it’s getting better so alright guys that said I’m gonna go and maybe take a answers all right guys I have to go excited like that every time just to keep you guys awake if your list of someone else’s podcast and come to my and hope that’ll wake you up so I’m here in the office kind of background and we were filming a bunch of cool things here this week with operation underground railroad for those are gonna be fun locking live we’re gonna be premiering a documentary been working out them about how they’re saving kids from human trafficking and it’s an amazing emotional cool thing so excited show that you guys but today we want to talk to you about something else and the titleist podcast is gonna be drive your kids to work now or not to work to school driver kids at school obviously some you guys you know have kids and that’s okay I’m not just saying this is like a thing drive your kids to school but it’s like a metaphor of a bigger thing so I’m pretty busy as an entrepreneur I have a lot of things happening between our company’s 150 plus employees 55,000 active customers million subscribers and a lot of other stuff all going on that like we have to keep up with right and it’s crazy and if you watch any of my stuff you know the were everywhere all the time buying ass trying to be super aggressive in our marketing because we believe what we’re doing and we’re saying in fact I saw yesterday Oh today or my Instagram ads that said something like Russell or said Russell you’re trying to are to see your ads everywhere makes me not want to buy anything from you you need to chill out or something I was like chill out are you kidding me like I’m a man on a mission I’m trying to change the world here I don’t have time to chill out so I’ll chill out when I retire some day here but right now it’s important and I’m pushing hard and I believe what we’re doing and I believe it’s not just like a financial thing I believe it’s bigger than that and you just know that who listening you don’t believe my and you understand what I believe in my mission and all those kind of things but well sure today is last week I have my kids and one of my kids didn’t want to keep taking the bus to school and he was kind of like just then a lot of kids on the bus don’t use good language the bus drivers kind of a jerk and stuff like that so I start driving him to school in the mornings which was really cool and then a couple times click couldn’t we have a nanny that comes in the morning so she started driving and I was just like watching that and I remember one morning last he was Friday or something I was like making my supplement drink he makes up my powders my pills new my big morning routine crap that’s so important right every talks about morning routines and I watched um Brandi who’s amazing human being she’s our nanny take my kids and drive to school and I was like I’m missing that experience with my kids because I’m too busy doing my morning routine or whatever was right and so Monday came and I said I’d told Bonin Dalaman my twins I was like hey I’m gonna drive to school today I’m gonna start driving from now on like really I’m like yeah it so I jump in the car and I Drive him and it’s not a very long drive but it was so cool because like and I pick one of their friends in the morning it’s like I listen to them talking to friends and like and it was like this cool thing like I had this intimate glimpse inside the real world like we see the world our kids when we’re you know when we’re at our home and stuff you don’t see like then with their friends and like their scheme this really intimate cool glimpse of like wow that’s that’s what’s happening at school so they’re really talking about I just sat there like quiet and listening in and that was a first day and then it was I got home and then a Denali they there’s the bus stop but it’s like it’s like literally a two minute walk from our house I mean that may be a one minute walk but they just get a ride when it’s snowing cuz whatever so Ames like you took the under school can take me to school and he’s so cute he’s my little seven-year-old I was like yes I’ll take you to school so I’ve been Drive so I get home and I Drive them to school and so I did that Monday and I need a Tuesday Tuesday is like okay I’m gonna get these kids in good state for school so I picked him up and music blaring and like got him all excited got him estate right and then just every day this week I’ve been doing that and um I’m taking Elliot and Aiden as well to school and it’s crazy it’s only been a week slaves Friday so his last day of the week I’m doing this process and I was like I was like how like it was it’s been so cool this morning I don’t know anyways I came in and my kids like way more connecting me say hey key make me a Popeye egg dad which is kind of egg thing we making I was like yes I made that in the down hey daddy make me one too so I made him one and Elly came it had me comb her hair and put it in a little ponytail and like and I took the kids and was like so much more connected my kids and I got home my wife was like way different than normal like it’s funny I’m always trying to impress her with all these crazy things we do and she doesn’t notice it and like this taking my kids to school like how much of a profound impact that had on her and it’s just special and cool and like so grateful I figure that out now and not you know four years from now or five years from now when the kids are about to graduate they don’t want me to be around you know and so I just want to show the guys cuz first off it was just special to me and it was really cool and something I’m gonna keep doing but second off I wanted that to be something to share with you guys because I know again everyone’s situation is different some you don’t have kids Drive in the morning but but conceptually what is it what is it the year you’re doing right out in your business or your morning routine or something were like the most special things to you you’re not noticing him you’re missing him you know I I look back to the last few years I probably missed a lot of that I could have drive my kids to school a lot over the last few years and I missed it and luckily now I’ve fixed that way and I’m so glad that was earlier than later now I have you next few years to really have that time with my kids that I was missing out on but whew what is it it’s a spouse is it a kid is it a family member is it someone else you love and care about is it a project you know you should be doing it like what is it what is the thing that you’re missing because you’re so busy doing your thing and just recommend to stop and look around a little bit and don’t miss the moments because this last week has been really special for me and it was because last Friday a week ago today that I noticed it I stopped and long enough to notice it and then luckily I listen to the voice my head and and I just something about it so look around listen fluish in your head hear it here it says and then do it and see what happens so hope they help somebody I got stuff you know so I apologize if I sound funny but I hope this helps you guys I know it’s been a huge huge help for me this week and literally is gonna change the trajectory of my life like that little shift is gonna be huge so alright with that said get back to work or stop your work and go hang out with your family this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets everyone I just got done I took off early today and went and took Norah to a little gym which is so stinkin fun she was so cute and I headed back to the office to go get some stuff done just grateful today for being an entrepreneur and having the ability just to like take off and go to my daughter’s little gym thing and have fun with her and not have to like worry about anything so one of the what are the hidden benefits to be an entrepreneur right alright so one taki is today so and it’s something that we have been talking about a lot recently probably because we’re in the middle of it in our company but it’s like getting the systemization in right so the first time I ever heard about systems was I read the book Emeth by Michael Gerber and I I remember it was probably probably twelve years ago or something and at the time I started my business and I had like learned how to do everything right because I couldn’t have any money out sort of program at Neverland program so I hired this guy named Matt Dorel in Rome and he who still works for me to this day and and so he did all the programming stuff I had to figure everything else because I didn’t have any skill so I had to learn how to do write copy I had to learn how I didn’t just either I hired images but I learned all these different pieces like to marketing and traffic and sales like and like it sucks when you’re first get started it’s just you you know how many capital or money so it’s like you have to like get really talented and I think that’s one of the big reasons why if you heard the intro the show I make fun of people who take on VC money cuz I’m like they don’t have to learn any the stuff they just like cheat they get a bunch of money to hire people and there’s never anyone on the team that actually has the skill set to run the show like there’s got to be someone who has done everything once or else it’s hard to like I don’t know that’s just my thought thoughts my feelings so I was doing everything from writing copy doing his customer support driving traffic doing sales project management everything it was just me right and orell and then someone I think it was tell me Knudsen or someone at an event mentioned this book called the e-myth and I thought oh it’s like the Internet mark I think he was like internet or email I don’t know so I bought the so I remember we’re going on a trip down to Lake Powell my wife and I and so we’re heading out we swing by Barnes and ovo I go in the bookstore a business section there’s a book called the e-myth I’m like this is the one that I’ll talk you know so I bought it jump in the car ride drive you know 12 hours down the Lake Powell Utah jump on a house but go in the middle the boat pull out my new books to learn about internet marketing and I start reading it has nothing to do with internet marketing let’s kinda point at first but I nothing else treats I can’t read this thing and it was all about systemization talked about you know how most authors feel like they’re juggling this thing and this thing and juggling at ten different plates right you try keep mall whole up top cause you know if one of them Falls Holdings gonna collapse you talked about basically going in there and like each of these things you’re spinning it’s like create a system around it plug some of that system and then and then run with it and then doing that through all the different things until eventually without saying systemized and that was kind of the gist and I’ve never gone super deep with Michael Gerber stuff outside of that and I don’t have a couple friends who disagree with what he says but the conception is like this is brilliant like build systems to replace the things I’m doing and and I honestly struggled with that for a long time I think most entrepreneurs do because I think this and this is this is the whole point of the podcast I think I know why now that we’re doing at the right way I think the reason why is because because you have been you as the entrepreneur who had to figure out all this crap ahead of time you did figure out do all these things like you’re taking on like 20 or 30 different skill sets initially do you have to learn to be able to launch a business right which is hard and some things you’re really good at some things you are whore blah but you have to figure how to do it because cuz there’s no one else doing it right like I had to learn how to write copy cuz I member um someone explained it to me on time I was like huh that sounds horrible like I hate writing and they’re like well you could hire him they’re really expensive and I didn’t know how to hire so and and only person I really knew the time who consider himself a copywriter was Joe of Italian I went to his site and he was charging like you’re like six dollars a word for email copy I was like six dollars a word like even the little words like uh-uh and I was like I can’t I guess I gotta learn this crap it’s out of my books and study your practice and read and learn and like it was painful but I had to do it because there’s no one else that could do it at the time right so then we get the point where start trying systemize things we start bringing people in I think the biggest problem most of us have as we assume that the people that we’re bringing in will have all the skills that we’ve have acquired to get this thing off the ground and I think that’s what I’ve always been frustrate I can bring people in on my god like you can’t do this like again you do this one part but you’re horrible all these other things and it’s like you’re trying we try find rock stars to replace us which is like not easy at all and what I’ve been learning through this new process is systemization we doing with James P James P frill is this less about that more like figuring out all the pieces and then bring people that are just amazing at that one piece and so it’s gonna be weird it’s like how do I say this the right way cuz I don’t want to make it sound offensive cuz it’s not even a little bit I feel like for me and for most entrepreneurs like we probably get to like level 6 or 7 skill set and a whole bunch of things right it gets this they gets this idea off the ground right and so that’s kind of kind of where app and the goal is not to bring in someone that’s the same thing it’s like it’s like picking each one of those skill sets that your six app you take that apart and you find 10 level person and plug them into just that one thing it’s the problem that in our minds entrepreneurs gonna know how we all think is like you saying take ten people to replace what I’ve already doing and it’s like yes but those ten people will be able to do level 10 of what you’re doing that level for you know five or six whatever you’re doing right now and so it actually becomes better but it takes more people to do because there’s not anyone who’s gonna write copy and do customer support right even though you had to do that I think they’re not gonna do it you got to find like a level 10 support person level 10 copy person level 10 funnel person level 10 designer and like all those pieces you plug them in and and be okay with the fact that they’re not gonna do all the stuff you did they’re just into one piece but there’s no way better than you and there and if you try to give them two things or three things they’re gonna suck at all of it they’re gonna do way worse than what you’re frustrated annoyed and fired him right but it’s like understanding that like their level 10 skill set is gonna replace your six now you get ten people awesome like now becomes magic I’m looking at it’s happening now and are in my business I’ve always been I’ve had an amazing team and I’ve been building his team for a long time and it’s been it’s been good but as we’re specifically trying to replace me on things I currently do which I do a lot of things I still things and it’s like I’m trying to do that I pull myself out those pieces and it’s like it’s been scary but I’m trying to find level 10 people each spot plug them in and now it’s like man they take my like what I didn’t make it better and and I think the most haunted fear is probably level 10 on one thing they got I think yeah like I would say I’m level tenant one thing so I’m keeping that peace because I love it but the rest of it any other people and anyways hope that gives you hope cuz I know that as I system my stuff in the past I’d always get frustrated because I think I’m trying to get people three or four things like hey you’re gonna write copy and do this and do this and they can do one or two but then the other ones make it make him struggle just they never were able to be rock stars it was by fall I didn’t let them shine where’s now stepping away from this and true izing look like just having folks on that one thing just because you did ten doesn’t mean they should be in fact they do is gonna hurt themselves and you and everyone like I think that’s part of the problem not a problem part of them I guess the opportunity entrepreneurship is we have to master 10 things to get this thing into orbit is you thought a million bucks now it’s like okay now I just bought my freedom now it’s time to take this cash let me place myself at level 10 people and yeah and first its to be scary so you spend all your cash on his leveled head people but if yellow with had people then the cash will dramatically increase the cash does not dramatically increase means you didn’t find level clones so anyway I hope that helps it was kind of big AHA for me recently just watching his like I went to go with Nora and I did a little meeting with my team I’m looking at like okay that’s the person replace this part of me and that person plays that part of me and that part I’m looking all this things and I’m like all of them are better those things than I am this is so great I’m gonna play my daughter now and they’re doing their their their piece of brilliance and I can go spend time my daughter pretty special pretty cool that’s the goal this that’s been the goal for me I’m finally getting there and I hope that gives you guys some faith and some hope especially those who have tried to systemize have tried to replace yourself and tried to hire people and have been frustrated I get it and maybe this little piece that I got over the last day or two will help you as well so hope the helps back in there build some funnels makes everybody and still working on the documentary and some cool things it’s though you’re gonna find like in lab we’re actually showing this documentary we’re building with them which is super cool and I think you’re gonna love it and then we’re gonna help save tons of kids which is awesome so good things happening in that front and today I want to jump in because something kind of cool happens so we had our fat event last week which first fat event was about a year ago and I taught it fat fat is FH eighty funnel hackathon that’s the acronym so we thought we can just shorten call it fat event every calls that the F hat event and there everyone’s confused what it is but that’s what it is it’s the funnel hackathon 880 anyway so the first thing I taught three days it was awesome I think people liked it and I was good right before fun rockin live last year was just kind of dumb and then and then I think five times we did it after that and Stephen started teaching first half of it then more of it and then the majority of it and we did our last one it’s kind of sad we may bring back who knows but we did the last one officially last week and it was really cool and it’s fun because um Isis even been teaching it at each time he teaches he gets better and better at it but three weeks ago he officially ended his his job here at clickfunnels and went out on his journey as entrepreneur and he took all the stuff that we do in the fad event talk about fata many launches first webinar he’s made like 100k the first three weeks it’s like oh my gosh this stuff actually works who knew this whole time and it was fun as this fad event this is after he had a chance to go and kind of do all this stuff so now he like his his belief levels there before me I was like ten times better and it was crazy watching my stage like super impressed in fact I was gonna listen for five or ten minutes God’s big project I needed to do and he started speak and then I said I’ll start listening and I was like dang this is good so I sat down I decided listen for like over an hour and it was cool it was cool he didn’t take a lot of the principles and stuff that I would talk about in.com seekers and experts secrets then like we Mia together but then taking his spin on like how did how did you know how did he have think through this when he was creating his offering his thing like that and one thing he said that was just really really cool and it’s it’s not different than then we talked about expert secrets book I’ve talked about you guys but it was just a different lens and because that I was so so so cool so if you read expert secrets if you haven’t you’re insane go go buy it I spent a decade of my life learning this stuff to give it to you for free but expert seekers car but if you have ready you remember they talked about initially that there’s three markets there’s health wealth and relationships right and everybody showed people I know there’s other things like what about this like what about razors and yet you brought that up is the thing that grazers like why do people buy razors like what’s the really the reason you think about like they’re shaving because like I want to look good so I can get a girl relationships right so it’s a relationship market like works for everything is fit somewhere in those things right you see fit that’s that’s the the the core markets right and if you think about like back in the day whoever was first in the core markets probably one dude right the taught the taught health and he was like the weight loss guy and everyone gave him money because he was amazing and then someone else was like wait a minute I don’t lose weight to maybe I should jump into health and they jumped in and then this blue ocean of a market became this red bloody ocean was tons of people and and so then the evolution of markets started happening so we got health wealth and relationships and they evolved to a niche or sub mark excuse me yeah sorry it’s been a while since I’ve read my own book to a sub market right so let’s say inside of inside of wealth it’s not just like I’m teach I become wealthy there’s like that’s the sub mark inside like well there’s real estate you can be used to become wealthy there is internet marketing become wealthy there’s stocks there’s and there’s all these sub markets within there right initially whoever broke out in sub market like blue ocean boom all the money start happening but then some other guys like well I know stocks to maybe I should jump in and teach this stuff maybe I should create software that does this or whatever right and so those red oceans are becoming seen those blue oceans are becoming bloody and red again and it gets harder and harder and more competition and so that’s the market that you guys are in today and so you can come in and jump in the red ocean the problem is that you’re competing for for people’s attention for the same kind of thing and it’s just as difficult and so the next phase of that isn’t coming down to the third level which is the niches you develop your own and you create your own niche and I purposely don’t say don’t find your own niche because through finding your niche means you’re jumping into a red ocean but you’re developing you’re creating your own niche within this this ecosystem right one thing he said it was so cool and I want to come back he said he said your niche needs to come out of a red bloody ocean chem so he says if you don’t know what your red ocean is that you are that you are breaking out of then you’re not doing it right like you didn’t pick the right thing so for example let’s say it’s this example of relationships you know health wealth in relationships relationships shaving the shaven house is a bloody thing right there’s all these thousands of people said shavers or shavers and stuff and so like you need know like that’s the bloody market and your goal is you’re building your business to look at that bloody red market and then you’re gonna be actually throwing rocks and then throwing stones of them this is how you separate and become this unique different thing you got to be able to see the sub market the red bloody ocean and throw rocks at it so if you’re in the shaving market and you’re looking like man this is the bloody market how do i how do I create something new a create a new niche that gives me the ability to throw rocks at the ready or the red bloody ocean right and so you talked about some examples one is like dollar beard club Oh like you shave like all you’re more on like real men don’t shave and like now they can throw rocks at the red bloody ocean that they are they are they are breaking off of right think about this like I’ve seen this in last year right with stocks like so there’s wealth right and then decided well if there’s like the stock markets and then size stock now there’s this magic thing that’s been coming sexing siding called kryptos right so why like Kryptos people have crypto offers have to go back to the red bloody ocean of stock investing things like that and then to throw rocks at the current v– like the red ocean everyone else is in there fighting in you to throw rocks at and that’s what separates you and creates your blue ocean again now crypto has become bloody right so now it’s like if cryptos does this bloody rat ocean like what is the thing that I got that I can look back at that the crypto red ocean and I can throw rocks at this like everyone’s room crypto is this way and this is wrong this is bad this is you throwing rocks and then boom that creates the separation for boom your new blue ocean and I thought it was really unique I never thought about it in that way that you have to identify the red ocean that you are building that your bit that you were coming off of to build your new opportunity so you had to find that and then you have to throw rocks at the red ocean and that’s how you create that separation that creates your blue ocean and it’s just fascinating so if you’ve got a business right now and and I was asking which one three markets you’re in health wealth relationships you got to tell me that number tuned in from there what sub market are you I have an internet marketing I’m stocks I’m in real estate I mean whatever can you figure out that then it’s like okay now you figure that out what are you doing to throw rocks at that to break separation to create your blue ocean oh oh you guys getting this does it make uh sense you guys if not let’s do it again it’s huge it’s a big even for me it was like a big like light bulb my head so thank you Steven for explaining it that way they get the same framework but looking through it someone else’s lens it’s fascinating the different tips and ideas you get making so it’s not different it’s still three markets some market niche but now it’s like how do you create that niche it’s coming back to the red ocean identifying it throwing rocks crit and separation and boom that creates to your actual blue ocean it gives you all the things you need for your sales pitch for the for you launching and introducing your new opportunity all those things come out of that magic so hope that helps I said super cool I loved it there’s something more good like so much more gold he was dropping in there was amazing but yes it was really cool to see someone else teach a lot of your principles through a different lens I got so fascinating so as I told mattress I enjoy you teaching a lot better than I’ve ever taught us that’s awesome anyway so hope that helps you guys figure out your your three core markets which one you’re in forget your sub market find that red bloody sub market that money’s already in the customers are in that’s everything like if a lot times who Billy’s businesses and they launch and there’s no customers like finder red bloody market there’s tons and tons and tons and tons of customers already they’re all like the more competitive the better and that’s where you create your separation you think this is like you’re going back to those two those red bloody oceans to get those customers to come to you that’s like I don’t get traffic you’ve identified that red bloody ocean where all the traffic SAP and you jump from there you’re like hey and you throw rocks at the red ocean that are currently swimming in there like oh my gosh she’s right boom and that’s what brings them to your new opportunity to your blue ocean so cool so amazing hope it helps you guys I’m gonna go work today get these prepped for question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets alright everybody welcome back all right I’m pump for today’s episode because part of me it caused a little fire under me and then I realized I forgot that like this happens and and I think that happens to a lot of people and it either keeps them from success or it keeps them like the fear if it keeps up in a success or or worse to have some success it happens and then it causes like downward spirals check out those who are watching there’s our fill all the snows melted which are playing somewhere out there anyway um so this is interesting so as you are growing up in life and you were surrounded you start getting your network of friends and family and all sorts of stuff right and what’s nice things like your friends your family you like them all right because they connect to you that erst and you and the greatest thing happens like when people are miserable or they mess up or they have problems or whatever people relate to them right it’s the weird things like if you’re sick everyone relates to you like oh I’m so sorry you’re sick oh and if you’re like I’m overweight oh I’m so sorry overweight icon broke all my boss sucks oh my job oh cool I hate like when you’re miserable everyone will instantly jump in and infant empathize F empathy with you right and it’s really really nice and we get connection from that and we build friendships and things like that are interesting and this is like the worst you are the worst things are happening to you the more people give you low connection which is why a lot of people live in the zone where they just stay miserable because the more miserable they are and we’re love and connection they get and more significance they get how much other weird things even though it seems to backwards right so something weirds gonna happen all of you guys if you listen this podcast it means you’re gonna be successful and so you’re gonna go out there to try to do things differently and you’re gonna be trying things and working Holy Castle means don’t hit me we tried these definitely thinking differently and like and and and it’s gonna be weird and you know these friends around you and you’re gonna be exciting you telling me stories and at first they’re gonna be like watching you fail and like they’re gonna be there for your failures things like rally with you they’re gonna like be there and then something’s gonna happen you’re gonna figure this game out and you’re having success and the weirdest thing happens you think that all your friends are gonna come back to you and be like oh man you have a sick sad thing you assume they’re gonna be happy for you because they’ve been miserable for you with you but they you assume and all the system we assume that because these people were miserable with us that they’re gonna be happy with this and the weirdest thing happens when you have success all these people who you thought were your really close friends who you thought we’re gonna be grateful and excited and happy for success you get it and then guess what happens they’re not happy for your success it’s the weirdest thing and it causes these weird emotional mental things for us as entrepreneurs where it’s like okay these are my best friends why aren’t they happy and having success and it’s sabotaging a lot of times just slip back to not being successful cuz yeah you know what screw that I want my friends like me I’m gonna be I’m gonna be miserable and then like you’ll mess up in the book oh come here we’re all friends again that’s the weirdest thing so I wanted to share with you uh I’ve had a couple things there’s this guy that used to go to church with and I didn’t really know him that well I kind of knew of him and it’s crazy apparently he messaged me on linked and this is like seven eight years ago when I first started going to church there and he messaged me on LinkedIn and I didn’t I had LinkedIn account and logged in and I didn’t know about it and somebody told me four or five years later the like he was he was saying that was really rude or something I’m like I’ve never even talked to him before and I was like find out why and apparently was because I never spawned it his LinkedIn message so rule number one don’t assume people are reading where you’re messaging him crazy so I wrote my login link in I searched through like five or six years of back messages I found it I was like oh man so I’m like I’m on Facebook I don’t I don’t check LinkedIn I apologize anyway say oh no where’s Nance all cool so my guy right then I end up moving go to different different we come in the Mormon Church come award so same Church of different Ward’s a different area different group congregation wherever you want to call it so I’m in the other congregation and just doing my thing and and like honestly you guys know this because you’re here like I’m just doing my thing right like I am obsessed with the art of what I do so this is like me painting like this is business and entrepreneurship is like this is my art so I’m doing it and then I’m obsessed with like this success that people going through that’s what we’ve been in the last like last I way that we had a fad event last week and in the three day fat man with 18 people spent to comma Club Awards like it’s crazy we’re doing multiple – comma Club like making multiple people millionaires a day right now and it’s like that’s what I’m passionate about right and I’m so fired for the people’s success we’ve got I think 10 to 12 people who passed eight figures this year and like it’s crazy it’s like that’s what I was I’m excited about right so apparently my friends comes let’s me it’s like hey you know so in summer yeah how’s he doing he’s like you know he’s been all right but like and it’s telling this conversation they had I guess in this conversation he’s like I’m not impressed with Ross I’m not impressed he’s done everything I think I’ll tell him next to me talk to him that my job I’m not trying to impress him like I’m doing my art and try making was successful and just blew my mind like that guy’s like I don’t know that well but he should be happy for me Aiki I’m helping other people I’m helping tons of love success like why are they happy and it’s the weirdest thing there’s a person in not my not my medium but in my family same kind of thinking I don’t I won’t talk too much the story cuz he knows maybe they listened I doubt it pretty sure they don’t but apparently every time somebody talks about clickfunnels in the family this person like stand up and walk out because they’re like so frustrated and upset about whatever I don’t even know doesn’t make sense to me so I just want to warn you guys as you start having success a lot of people you love and care about around you who you think should be excited for your success they’re not gonna be it’s gonna be hard and you’re like what like I fight I thought you guys love me and they’re like yeah they they love I don’t know I’ve ever stood Tony Robbins admit you PW and he was talking about this about like you know like when your I found overweight they all love you to see shot losing weight and your in healthy than the right oh well he’s never in and like it instantly just turns on you so I just want you has to be prepared for that be warned for it and it’s understand it’s not their fault they just love I don’t know there’s something about wouldn’t like they can relate to the unhappiness they can relate to not have been successful and so it’s like when you start succeeding and doing these things it scares them to death and they’re scared that you’re gonna that you’re gonna progress past them are scared you and leave them or whatever those things are a lot of times it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because they start not being happy for your success and you fail they’re secretly like hoping you’ll fail they’re like because they want you back to where they were at so I can connect with you still and so don’t let that be a thing keeps you back because you got a gift you’ve got something that’s your amazing it there’s something that you can do to change the world and if you if you if you succumb to that you you’re gonna lose that on that and people’s lives won’t be changed because of that and there’s mr. James P girl driving in behind me anyway I just want to share it because I’m sure some guys of you they hit that are you’re gonna hit that and just be aware of it and second side of that is like when people have success like be excited for them be that person who’s like man you’ve lost weight congratulations oh man you’re making money that’s awesome oh my golly be the person’s excited I’m generally pumped when people are successful and it makes me laugh cuz I meet people all the time like and they like talk about their successes and they like they’re not proud of it but or like they’re proud of it but they’re afraid to talk about cuz they know that people come back and like oh well yeah man you sounds like got lucky oh good timing for you like good time like people told me before I come in wrote when I want my first state title I had a friend whose head started wrestling stood him as if he’d quit he’s like oh well if I would kept wrestling had to be a state champ to a Mike no you wouldn’t you quit like my definition you never would have like aa very successful business and people like oh yeah well you know oh man I can revise it some I’m saying that somewhere and some nasty so I can tell I could told my dad this would happen I guess so lucky I wish I could find somebody that Mike you kidding me so you remember the last like 15 years while you were like goofing off working 9:00 to 5:00 and going to bed at night yeah I wasn’t I wasn’t lucky i frickin worked my face off and yeah and so it’s just funny cuz people people are afraid to talk about that so when you meet buddy whoa maybe somebody and they tell you something about themselves as excited they’re kind of gonna limb they’re probably nervous and scared instead of being like I don’t know just be pumped for me excited yelling like holy crap that’s amazing and like pump them up because if you do that you’ll attract more people like that and that’s gonna make everything easier for you and your life better so there you go yeah well helps the fog eat is here in Boise today vlog Y all weekend long it’s kind of cool anyway so to end this off only you guys know I’m proud of you I’m pumped for you I’m excited for you the more success you have happier I am all I care about is your success and yeah find people and surround yourself people who are the same way and become that kind of a person alright peace see you guys would you like to see behind the scenes of what we’re actually doing each day to grow our company if so then go subscribe to our free behind-the-scenes reality TV show at WWF idol hacker TV

yesterday in fact this is not even my message I’m gonna give you the backstory so that kind of set it up so last night I got home from the office had a great day a lot of work I got home somebody my beautiful wife and my five amazing kids and we had a good time it’s like an hour and then the dreaded nighttime routine begins where we got to get them into bed and on about you but for us it’s nightmare plus a gut i’ll regular sake that i coughs and like it’s just it’s kind of no way just adds to that stress so this hour-long process starts and it was hard way harder than most nights for some reason maybe started like we try to read scriptures every night so and this and I’ve should’ve been the easiest because it was like we try read one chapter each night there’s only six verses in this chapter so it’s like least read one that’s it it’s gonna be so easy no it was a nightmare and then my son was one of my daughters she a me pants and she was mad he was mad so that she was left crying so I tried to like get her stop crying by getting the pants back a minute he gets all mad and throws him he starts crying and then it was just like and the nurse coughing hysterically oh and then Aiden was having a coffee tax of Clegg starts hitting Aiden on the back to like help get the coughs out and nowhere thinks that Colette’s beating up pain so she started screaming bloody murder thinking that it’s like child abused so much so she starts like coffee to puke it yourself because like the kids in bed give them get the person yeah is just like pure cosmic or I just see when you turn light sleep the documents that inner man anyway it’s just crazy watch so she’s got it her in there finding or passes out I go in to watch something else in rooms because I didn’t like you separation posted and man it was awesome I watched it and it was like exactly what I needed for last night and after i watched i sat there just grateful and thankful and i looks at this moment thing that just minutes earlier had been a horrible miserable moment to something it became super grateful for so i just messaged this morning saying hey man can i please post that video on my podcast that were asking here because i think it’s important special and cool and he said yes so with no further ado I’m gonna cue up the video thanks everyone hope you enjoy this episode MC has Mauro when I was a kid all I wanted to be was a millionaire now that I am a millionaire all I want is to be a carefree kid there was a time of my life where I lost a lot of weight and I had abs for the first time in my life when I felt too skinny and all I wanted was to add some muscle now that I’ve added some muscle all I think about is how much I miss my abs before I was a father all I wanted was kids I wouldn’t trade my daughter for anything but I sometimes miss the days when I was alone when she was a baby and she was crying in the middle of the night all I wanted was for her to be older now that she’s older we have such a stronger connection but sometimes I miss the days when she was a baby when I was growing a small business all I thought about was growing a big business now that I’m growing a big business a successful business I sometimes miss the days when it was small for simpler growing up in a small town near Cleveland Ohio all I thought about was getting out now that I live in a big booming city I miss home I realized the other day that there are two sides to everything there are the problems that we feel in the moment and there are the positives that we think about in the rear view mirror we feel the problems and we long for the positives we rarely ever pause to appreciate the positives while we’re still in them and instead we just experienced them later and we experience them in the sense of missing the times that used to be [Applause] a friend of mine lost her brother recently and my heart just broke for her because I knew that all she thought about all she wanted was to have her baby brother back and I knew that she thought that if she had her baby brother back that she would appreciate him so much more and love him so much harder than she ever had now I have a brother and I don’t spend 24 hours a day thinking about how much I love and appreciate my brother but if anything ever happened to him all I would think about was having my brother back it made me realize that there are things in my life that I overlooked that if they were taken away from me it would be the thing that I longed for the most the times when my daughter is screaming if anything ever happened to her all I would want would be to comfort a screaming baby if my business went under and I was working for someone else I would long for the grind of starting something new of spending long hours building something if I was going hungry the extra flab covering up my abs I would gladly trade my hunger for a little bit of fat if I had food to eat the beautiful curse about being human is that we are wired to find problems that does not make us happy it actually makes us miserable but it also makes us grow and create and to solve those problems we rarely if ever paused to appreciate the things that are in our life that we could be grateful for until it is too late but you get to control what you focus on you get to control whether you consciously appreciate the things that are in your life or if you focus on the problems and you wait until later when you feel that sense of longing for how things used to be no matter who you are where you are what you have or don’t have I can promise you there is someone else looking at your life longing to be in your situation even in the situation that right now you see is a problem there is someone who looks at your life and longs to be in that situation even though once they got it they would probably long for something else no matter who you are or where you are you have so much to be thankful for and to appreciate these are the what’s up everybody else’ll Brunson and welcome to the marketing secrets podcast I got something cool to share with you today so the big question is this how our entrepreneurs like us who didn’t cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets how do we mark it in a way that lets us get our products and our services and the things that you believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets everyone all right so first off I want to share something that’s little different than normal we’ve been in promoting for liking live we’re getting close to selling on ticket so I thought it’d be fun to do Facebook lies with all different speakers and so today I did two facebook lives one was with Alex and Leila har mozi and then Myron golden who were like amazing people and then I did it on with with Kaelyn Poland and also with Natalie Hodson and she’s been really fun to talk to the speakers and give them excited but what they’re talking about everyone else excited as well and during one of the Facebook lives today we had a really cool thing kind of came out of it so it’s Alex Ramon some you guys may know Alex because he spoke and this is a second phone I like might be spoken at he and his wife are gonna be speaking of this one but what’s interesting is at the end of it I was asking I asked like you know why she think peels to kind of find you live and he was just like he said you know I think it’s like three or four years ago he went to an event it wasn’t my event it was it was a it was trafficking conversion actually or indices of it and he was at the event and I had a chance I was speaking the event and he told me the story later so I kind of feel in the back so I didn’t talk to us today but it’s filling in some of the backstory guys so it makes sense at this event I had an hour to speak and they wouldn’t let me pitch anything which is like painful for me as someone who loves to sell things because I feel like selling is how we actually change people’s lives and so I get on stage and I do my my tire flex presentation I get to like or a transition to my clothes I’m like well that’s all I got see you guys and I the end and but I didn’t know at the time was alex is sitting out there in the audience and alex at the time had one or two gyms and he was doing all right but not like not loving it and he told me is like I sit in the audience and he was just like I want to do that whatever he just talked to I want to do that I didn’t sell any things we couldn’t buy anything and said they kind of just you know it ended the event happens and he went back home and he says I came here exactly you know six months a year later something like that he was sitting there he was at a time when he was just not super excited what he was doing and he was like that dude I heard speak at T and C what’s his name again like Russell Brunson and he didn’t know he never bonded my products and my services and he just googled like Russell Brunson coaching or something X’s like maybe I can hire him to be a coach or something I don’t know see Google that he found my inner circle page applied for inner circle signed up for it and and it’s funny because I had my very first call if and on the first call somebody’s actually Stu or three gyms and and Alex if you talked him super charismatic like dudes dozen like five thousand one-on-one face-to-face cells in his life times just a great salesperson but I’m doing this this call with him when people join the inner circle I do it I call it decade a day so I try to cram it a decade of my life into a day with them and I wanna like shortcut their success and so I have like an hour-long call with them and some news call and he tells me on the call he’s like you know my goal is if I can make I can actually like five me 20 grand a month online like that would that would dramatically change my life and I got started was I feel bad but I started laughing at him he’s like what am I do twenty grand a month like you have like I can like just hearing him talk guys like you have so like you’re you’re you’re like your skill is so high and I was like you’re just like you’re in like a level two or three opportunity with like a level 10 skills like we just shift some things like like 25 like okay well try to do that like tomorrow and then looks like increase from there and it was fun because on on today’s on today’s funnel are Facebook live he’s talking about business right now they’re doing it’s like a million half months recurring off this business they launched eight months ago like it’s crazy they’re trying to hit the the 8 figure Club before full rockin live so basically is let me made a 10 million dollars in like seven a half eight months and it’s interesting and so I should because first off it’s inspiring second off it’s always fun to tease Alex about his huge goals he had initially but most importantly I want to shows for you guys because how many times do we go and we do things the outside don’t seem fruitful right like like I spoke at T and C I spoken from these people I shared my messes I didn’t get something it ended and then it’s like you leave and like I don’t know if that helps how many times do we do a facebook live nee like you know 30 people that see it or you do a YouTube video you like 120 people to watch it and you look at those things sometimes we look at those stats when we see the other videos get like a million views and things like that we see ours like oh only 120 people saw that like man what a waste of time I should have been doing that I should be focusing on something else but we don’t realize is that that was 120 people that heard your message and who knows who those people are like one of them could have been the Alex hermos II who was sitting in the audience he heard your message it resonate with him to do anything and then a year later like in a time when he’s probably not happy and I could lean fulfilled is like well is that that dude again what’s his name they start googling you and they find you and then fast forward a little bit they’re doing 10 million dollars in sales right like think about for your business like hammer down is do a Facebook live and you feel bummed because you didn’t reach enough people but like those little numbers like one person two people 20 50 100 like those are people like if I like I’m in my inner circle room right now like this holds nothing about 75 seats suppose you’ve seen the video versus 75 seats that’s 75 people right right a minor circle 75 people here like 75 people like is the it gets a lot of people or I like and if and everyone for me to in this room paid 25 grand to be that I did it’s a lot of money right it’s a little bit 75 people and if I’m sharing messages in this group I’m not to press something only 75 people heard I’m like certified people heard it each of these people are gonna go and they’re gonna transform the world with it because it’s like so cool and so nobody is getting discouraged when you do a video or Facebook live or podcast and only 100 people heard it realize that like you’re planning siege or you’re doing these things out there and you never know who’s gonna who’s gonna hear it and resonate with it and it might not be immediately but like Alex a year later because something I said a year at an event and I didn’t meet him there I didn’t bump into him I just I did my thing and I left I didn’t know if it helped and a year later it’s it was the seed that we planted that got him to to Google the name make the phone call give him the program and not only make you know this money for him like how many people’s lives he’s affecting and so I just want to show it because it was just it was for me like that one of those round-robin things where it came back to the beginning it’s just like that is cool I’m so glad I went to C&C and I spoke and didn’t sell anything didn’t make any money Ike something that seemed like kind of a waste of time afterwards I’m so glad I did it something similar happened last year I went to Affiliate Summit if I did it I feel bad I did a podcast talking about how like their business model was the worst business model I’ve ever ever seen I still kind of stand behind that but I feel kind of bad about right because anyway you rewind that podcast listen to it but was interesting is I don’t usually go to speaking events unless there’s like a minimum with Alex people in the room Maroof is just not worth time like next week we’re speaking or and next month are speaking at Grant Cardone zve and which this was have like 8500 people out of like for me that just from my time like it’s it’s tough right but I feel as someone was one of the first events everyone to sounds like I want to go and speak and I give this event and they have like guards at the door and like the attendees have to pay extra to actually come into your room so I’m doing my keynote speech in this room and there’s like 15 people are like are you kidding me I spent all this might like the time and the money like like someone asked for one-on-one consulting today I quoted but 250 grand a day because that’s like what it would take for me to actually break away a day from my office to be able to do it looks like I spent the travel time there the time there and trying back like if I was to build that out working it you know half a million dollars or more to do that and I’m sitting over 15 people and I was just like angry cuz I’m like dude are you serious 15 people and so I shared my message and then they got done and you know when she became shook my hand and then I left went out to eat with my team that was there and then flew home kind of like annoyed that I wasted my time in this event but what I didn’t realize was sitting in that event was someone who’s becoming dear friend her name’s Alison Prince and Alison’s at this event she’s like and I didn’t notice till like two weeks later she calls our office and she’s like I was in a Philly summit I heard Russell speak he was the only speaker on stage who wasn’t drunk and she’s like I resonate with that someone who doesn’t drink and because of that I want to join the coaching program and this was literally two days before the very first Fadiman we ever did and and Derek’s on the phone like okay I think he and she has three but three multi-million dollar businesses so she’s like killing it but she wanted to learn like this this side of business we do two funnels and stuff and so she she signed up and she jumped in her car and drove here and showed up the morning of the event and I was like I don’t know who I knew every else who’s coming because we that’s inviting a circle members like I don’t know who you are saying I just joined yesterday say I was in Philly someone last week you and the only speaker wasn’t drunk and so that’s why I’m here now and I was like whoa like and then and then last night on my phone here with me dang it last night she messaged me and it’s been eight months no nine months no 10-10-10 f/11 somebody that yeah cuz it’s February she came so an hour in January suspend 11 months and she messes me yesterday she said guess what Russell I said what she said I just sold my thousandth of course and she sells of course four thousand dollars makes me two million dollars she said this is the fastest I’ve ever gone from zero to a million dollars and any my company’s ever sick I just Joey I just joined the two comma Club she’s freaking out by the way Allison’s speaking up on liking live and and I heard that and I was just thinking I’m like man so grateful I went to Philly summit because if I wouldn’t have Allison when I was fifteen people was sitting in the room wouldn’t have heard my message she when they came and looked at the live she’s transforming out because of it so I just wanna show it to you I don’t know where to go with that other then keep doing what you’re doing he feels like start making impact at the time he’s like I’m in room 15 people saw that video that presentation I gave right 15 people thought but Allison’s thought and because of that it’s transformed her life and it’s transformed a thousand of her customers life’s now it’s gonna get to you I’m moving forward and as she’s speaking front like he live so those were coming she’s gonna have a chance transform your life as well Alex and Leila are gonna be there it’s gonna like they’re gonna transform your life like it’s just it’s just a really cool thing so don’t get bummed out if nobody seems like they’re listening right now it doesn’t matter you’re sowing seeds you’re doing what you love you’re you’re putting your message out there and I just keep doing it do it with faith knowing that if you plan enough seeds the right people will come back your sheep will hear your voice and they will come to you like that’s that’s a scriptural doctrinal principle the Christ taught it it’s the same thing for you like put your message out there and your sheep will hear your voice and they will come to you and then you know that impact on them that that you can have and that’s what’s so exciting so don’t stop keep publishing keep putting out there even if they it feels like no one’s listening because you
