those same results here is your host Dave Woodward welcome back everybody this is in a fun new years beginning its 2018 and I am so excited for some of the crazy stuff that’s gonna happen in 2018 but one of the things I want to talk about real quick is a concept that I think most people really don’t understand I was talking with Garrett white a while back about this and recently he had ended up doing him one of his daily podcasts about the topic as well I thought you know I really need to explain this in more detail to our funnel hacking audience to really make sure they understand how this concept works in their marketing and in the things that you’re actually selling so the whole idea here is what are you selling are you selling a commodity or an experience I’m a huge believer in experiences for Christmas and everything else I hate just giving normal gifts for me it’s more all about the experience so I love taking trips I love providing people experiences that they wouldn’t normally have whatever that might be just recently I ended up having back surgery and that’s topic for another day but anyways part of the experience I wanted for my boys to have was the experience of snowmobiling and so they actually end up going snowmobiling without me while I was getting surgery on that day but it was one of the things they they loved it was such an affront I’m for them the for the boys just took off and had a ton of fun just snowmobiling up in McCall Idaho where we not far from where we live and it was one things that they continued talking about all the time I love taking trips with the kids and I love going to you know foreign countries and having the experience third-world type of situations every every other year I take my boys down to Mexico and we end up going down there and while we’re there we actually end up working in a medical hospital basically I don’t have any medical experience but while we’re there my kids have had the opportunity of actually working with plastic surgeons in working with general surgeons and eye doctors everything else and helping them in provide medical services to people who normally couldn’t afford and those the type of experiences that they’ve continued to remember forever and ever and to me that’s what it’s all about unfortunate for a lot of us in our marketing we end up going just kind of the opposite direction and our product becomes very price-sensitive becomes very commoditized and I think it’s one of the things you have to really pay attention to when you’re when you’re out and really working on your product so take for example let’s talk with Garrett white while back and his podcast on thing he was talking about was he and his daughter just gone out to dinner they went to a teppanyaki Japanese grill and again he was saying you know the food wasn’t that great but what was exciting was the experience of having the chef prepare the food in front of them and after that they ended up going over to McDonald’s and got a McFlurry and he was just basically talking about no this is ice cream that you know it’s 3 4 or 5 bucks whatever it is but that same ice cream could be an experience and be you sold for a lot more so I want to talk to you a little bit about this in your marketing how that works so take for example as far as ice cream I love ice cream my youngest son Jackson is the dessert King every single night he has to have some side type of dessert and it’s all about the experience so take for example when you get ice cream you can go down to you know McDonald’s and get McFlurry for you know 3 bucks or whatever you go through drive through a Dairy Queen and get a blizzard or you can go to like if you’re in Austin one of my favorite places in Austin and go to is Amy’s ice cream Amy’s ice cream is an establishment of Austin and they’re on 6th Street and it basically there’s always a line no matter when you go and it’s because of the experience and that experience basically goes back to kind of the the whole marble slab type of ice cream where you you go in you pick what type of ice cream you want you pick good type of flavor and fix seed you want add it to that and they chopped it all up and they basically provide it to you in in a scoop basically they throw the throw it up in the air and catch it in the bowl and it’s all the experience and you spend anywhere from eight to ten dollars for this little tiny bowl of ice cream but it’s the experience and because of that Amy’s has become this huge popular place that everyone goes to in Austin to get ice cream the same thing happens in any other type of of product or service you have to think of what is the experience that I can provide for these people one of the things that they would really like or that they would talk about now take for example on high end coaching programs a lot of times it’s the experience it’s people spend a lot of money because they actually at the opportune experiencing being with the Guru and sitting in the masterminds and because of that they’re able to get a much higher price point for that kind of stuff so when you take a look at your own marketing you take a look and see what are the types of things that you can do to add to it to not make it a commodity but to make it much more of an experience it’s been one of things we’ve I’ve looked at here at ClickFunnels™ when we have a one of our large rooms basically where we have our mastermind meetings and everything else we’ve actually toyed around with the idea of having other gurus basically be able to bring their people to click funnels headquarters and use use that conference room as part of the experience for their students and things I’ve seen the same thing to happen with gel polish and genius Network and the experience that happens down there bade Rose talking with him as far as some of his head high-end masterminds one of the things that he’s done is on his PI and masterminds where basically it’s a three-day event the first day they come in and they’re with a coach and not all of them are actually with pedro’s most of more ashley with other coaches they then have the second day where they basically come together and a group environment are taught by a couple of different people who are specialists in different areas but the third day is an experience where they then go out and if they’re if they’re in Vegas they typically go on a big hike and they hike up to one of the top peaks in that area when they’re in San Diego they go out and they go surfing with pedro’s and so it’s that ik type of an experience that Bond’s that person more to the coach or anything that they might be working with this whole idea is one of things I really encourage when you take a look at your marketing one of the types of things that you can do to provide an experience for your buyer so that it’s not just a commodity I’ve seen the same thing as far as Jason flavin has done a lot of things with in the whole Amazon ecommerce situations where they’re bundling different products where they’re no longer able to compare apples to apples Ezra Firestone does the same thing and we’re if take for example if you’re selling a product on Amazon I don’t what’s I’m looking right here I’ve got a ClickFunnels™ water bottle from me so let’s say you’re selling a water bottle and that’s the product well you can get a water bottle four to three before bucks but if all the said you start bundling it with different products and services where a person can no longer compare it to other water bottles it now becomes an experience as far as the things they’re gonna get with that Dollar Shave Club is phenomenal at doing this here again you think you’re gonna go ahead and get Dollar Shave Club and Dollar beard Club work the exact same way and really what you’re buying into it’s the experience you think you’re getting a razor you know for a buck reality is you’re your average car value when you leave there is typically in the neighborhood of 50 to 100 dollars it’s because of all the other experiences that you can have with shaving it’s the shave balm it’s the shave it’s the shaving lotions it’s beard oil it’s beard vitamins to help your beard grow thicker and and stronger it’s all those types of things that become part of an experience even though it’s a product the person’s buying into the experience they’re gonna have with that product so as you take a look at your marketing pay attention the different types of things that you could do and look at what others are doing obviously we all used to spend a ton of time talking about funnel hacking I want you to take a look at who has some of the people leaders in your industry and are they creating the experience for their the consumer or is it just a commodity you’ll find that anybody who’s super successful especially as far as increasing average cart value the way they do that is by creating an experience for the user and sometimes it’s not a physical experience sometimes it’s actual it’s just a mental experience that they’re taking that person through it’s an emotional experience or they have this emotional buying with that product for example my wife loves Lululemon and she has an emotional connection and an experience by literally just walking into the store the way it smells the way it looks it’s it becomes this experience of shopping at Lululemon so realize that and because of that they’re able to charge you know 75 to 120 dollars for leggings that you could get on Amazon or Target for a ton less but again it’s the experience of doing that and she will go on and on about why those leggings are so much better than the ones at any other place and that’s what she prefers but it’s because of the experience and others have now caught on to that and are trying to duplicate what Lululemon has done so just realize even though you’re selling a commodity or a product you can still have an experience and try to find different things that you can do to create an experience and a lot of that’s in your marketing as far as how you’re presenting it and what you’re saying how how what is the picture that you’re painting for them so with all that again I appreciate so much all the people who listened to this podcast I would love if you wouldn’t mind going out to iTunes and giving us a to a CD new CD with my chin pitching something and it was so okay so I’ve been like 15 years ago and you remember the soon tonight yeah my wife and I just got married it was the night I remember the neck because mark Joyner was gonna talk farewell lunch right so we’ve launched this thing it was a thousand bucks I didn’t have it in the four bite like everybody was lusting after their Micah chin who was a top affiliate aka when his friends put out a course like 37 bucks or was an audio that you need to listen to like prepare you to whatever right to buy the course it was a nice old to get you to buy just anyway so and things like six hours energy was he meant mark talking about all that stuff and then sold the package but listen the whole thing I still in a very beginning of it he said look if you want to be successful in this business you have to have at least thousand dollars to invest or you’re screwed you can’t do it whatever right and so I’m listening to and so I go to this little thing on a home at Mecca have 2,000 bucks me a thousand bucks and find by the time I justify Katie $1,000 to be successful and then of course the course of thousand bucks and then welcome to anyway that morning woke up collect a new thousand dollars to be successful and anyway she’s like a thing good thousand or credit card I’m like I usually say yes the rest is history right but so just thinking like in the normal one alright when we talk about this is always like I was a free book I’ll get these room evenings free free free free free till you get to here then you want to ship the James frills here and some of you guys we were working on on the brand-new what seemed called the whole agency the aides to see the funnel building trouble system that’s amazing and step two in the trellis system after having a big idea is to have a diluted light the bass signal up I’ve ever run to meeting then we talked about the whole idea and so he was planning building Trello cards of the day in his new house looks like a block from here and all sudden apparently he said wait a minute if we’re new bass signal we need a bats that we need to real bad signal you can’t do a bad signal meeting without having a bad signal you bought a bass signal it’s not working up we have a little hand pen one which I’m gonna turn the light off this is like if I’m in a bind and the battery dies now when I could be like the best single oh I wish that our first ever Batman project manager meeting or the bad cousin we’re sending out the bat signal then we come to bat cage so we can happen to bad maybe I had a mania okay even sales works it’s bad yourself Ian soundtrack happening so we gotta money and it shows so this is the bat-signal so I shouldn’t stop some go to all entire marketing agency to get the bass signal just popped out oh because everyone’s get the bat-signal chopper 2 Joe and something’s in trouble here it is my lab right big yeah okay is that on your diet we snuck in here they have a cookie making station with cookies and frosting and sprinkles and pour Dave’s been eating I had no shirt or wheat so like that might be big dose he was like cool he had a cookie who cares Dave’s obsessed with cookies it’s usually I get Belson cookies a day and he hasn’t had him for weeks because you’ve been trying to be so good and now I have a super freaky one so that was so good I’m not gonna protect again why are you playin this is number two snap my sprinkles what what what’s the announcement mouse that explains the baby bump Oh miles congratulations sympathy weight John’s got in a toy it is Austin wall-e so that people get fatter and fatter and fatter this is stage one where [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] all right we have some good news and some bad news or should I start oh how about the good news the good news member waffle me up last week at the partner planning mean he went to and we had those huge waffles with bacon and avocado [Music] makes the strawberries and Nutella and I was amazingly on earth the good news is they are right now in our parking lot in the waffle truck feeding our entire team that’s the good news the bad news I started the bigger rip transformation last week it’s so I’m not allowed to have waffles so instead of eating the grayish waffles known to man guess I’m eating I’m eating crusted Cod like that looks really good healthy unless you put next to a freaking waffle [Music] [Applause] just got a little Jim yep fun yeah you have a waffles [Music] you [Music]

welcome to funnel hacker radio podcast where we go behind the scenes and uncover the tactics and strategies top entrepreneurs are using to make more sales dominate their markets and how you can get those same results here is your host Dave Woodward welcome back to radio today is another day where you get the opportunity to having both myself and Jewish stoyan on the call welcome Julie hey hey hi everybody so glad to be here if you haven’t already listened to Julie she did her own podcast with when we first started what seems like an eternity ago a couple weeks ago we just had or a couple episodes ago we had her on talking about becoming the very best in the world and today what I want to talk about are some of the traffic secrets we’re gonna open up a kind of traffic secrets series here kind of might be the opportunity to kind of bugging and picking her brain on different things today’s topic is Pinterest and your sales funnel so with all that said let’s just dive right into this Julien let’s talk about Pinterest is something I have never I get I don’t know if it’s a gender thing I don’t know what it is but Pinterest is just not my thing so I needed you to come on board basically tell us how in the world you use Pinterest to drive traffic to your sales funnels well it’s okay it is I think it is really a gender thing because Pinterest is a heavily female dominated platform for sure so a couple things to know immediately about Pinterest is the first thing is it started out as a social network but it’s really a search engine it has not it’s not really a social network anymore so the three largest search engines in the world are Google Amazon and Pinterest so if you have a female audience you it’s like you cannot afford not to be on Pinterest because it is used as almost as much as Google especially in niches that have to do with food and health even niches like starting your own business and business opportunity niches so much fashion all that kind of stuff is all on Pinterest so what I want to talk to you about today is that one of my clients Caitlyn from proofread anywhere she’s a two comma Club winner the primary source of her to comma Club award came from Pinterest and so people know that no I know it was Pinterest that did it I know I know dr. Berg yeah exactly so so the way Pinterest works and how it works differently is that on Facebook you send people to a landing page Pinterest hates landing pages so your sales funnel can’t you can’t send people directly to a landing page you have to send people to a blog post and that blog post can be written or it can be video it can be show notes it can be as long as it’s on a something that looks like a blog whether it’s a ClickFunnels™ page doesn’t really matter like just make it look like a blog post of some kind you send people from Pinterest to the blog post and then in that blog post is a pop-up or an image or something that encourages them to opt-in and that’s how you go into your funnel so it’s kind of like when Russell talks about a bridge page that’s kind of what you need in Pinterest cool I love that analogy so if you are in any of those industries I said like you want to start creating blog post type bridge pages in your funnels and create beautiful vertical Pinterest images to put on Pinterest it has to be my beautiful okay I want to talk about that because that’s I suck at that right big terrible with that kind of stuff and again fortunately have Jake on our team as great graphics guy but I mean both you and Russell have this knack for what’s cool and beautiful and all that kind of stuff I don’t so what does a person like me do for help yeah so the simplest way to do it is first go to Pinterest and search in the Pinterest search bar and search what your what your niche is right so it’s like you know women’s fashion let’s say okay it comes up look at the pins that naturally catch your eye you’re gonna notice that that most of them are vertical they’re like 800 or 1200 sometimes though even longer they’re like 800 by 1600 they’re like really long vertical images if you really stink at design the best advice is to use canva and this is all you have to do you go you find a free stock image that you can use you put a stock image try to make it a pretty stock image like go to pixabay or a place like that that has like cool stock images don’t go to shut her sack put the image on a vertical template and then create a shape over it like a black shape a white shape whatever color matches your brand and make it a little bit transparent so it’s like you can kind of see the image but you can’t really that creates a little bit more of an artistic effect and then it puts some beautiful spots and words over the shape so you’ve got the picture you’ve got the shape you’ve got the words and the words need to be really bold because that is usually what catches people’s eye on Pinterest is like the text and then just stick your logo somewhere once you’ve done that template once save it in canva and then every time you have a new post or a new idea just swap out the stock image on the bottom and then swap out the text and you have your Pinterest template super easy awesome man that’s like value bomb like crazy I love hello like that yeah so once you have that image and that template you can just keep reusing it create all different kinds of bridge pages and you only need one funnel you could just have like 50 bridge pages if you want but they all go to that same funnel and you just create different pins and put them on Pinterest awesome so the pins on Pinterest then are leading to this bridge page and on the bridge page I know you mention as far as a blog whenever I think of a blog I’m thinking you know five to seven hundred words a longer type of thing what types of things can I have on that that bridge page and what things can I not have well so all I know is that Pinterest just doesn’t like it when it’s like a squeeze page where it’s like there’s no cons it’s like just like a headline and optoma they don’t like that so let’s say even your your show notes for your podcast right you put your your podcast you put the show notes that’s it that’s plenty like it’s just some sort of content that they can consume it doesn’t have to be like this big long blog post oh I might actually out using Pinterest for my for this pacer for this uh my careers you know so the the couple things to know is make sure your images are vertical always use a bridge page which can be a blog post or it can be a bridge page that you’re making click funnels yes there’s some content on it this the next thing you have to do is you have to find group boards to join and this is a little bit of work but you can find people that will help you do this for free I mean not for free but they’ll do it for you for a service and when you find group words you get more juice on your pins faster so I can go on Pinterest and I can pin a pope pin an image right and I’ve got five followers or I can join a group board that has 25,000 followers and pinned my pin on there and it’s more likely to get repent so is the whole game to reap anything inside of Pinterest yeah so it used to be it pinterest used to be where like you would have to have your boards and just one pin per like you didn’t want to repeat your pins and all that kind of stuff it was just like all like this beautiful layout almost kind of like Instagram but then it because it’s become a search engine and it’s so algorithm driven now it’s okay if you repin things again and again and again because Pinterest wants to see your account as being active so there’s all kinds of tools tailwind board booster places like this once you fill up your boards with content you just set it to automatically keep Reap inning and repin two different boards and group boards and things like that and then pinterest sees that your account is active and it starts to kind of elevate your account a little bit oh very cool so on the boards what do you have to do to avoid being spammy inside of the board I mean can the owner the board kick you out because you’re putting stuff on there yeah for sure so when you go to a group board it’ll tell you the rules it’ll be like you can pin here three times a day but you must also pin repin stuff from the group board you know what I mean it’s like a give-and-take kind of thing and this can all be automated very simply with board booster so simply so it doesn’t really take that much time once you set up your board booster account it just does it for you and so you usually just email them and they accept your pins and then you can set the set the schedule to pin and one of the things about Pinterest is you don’t have to produce all your own content you can repin other people’s content and it will elevate your rank on your Pinterest account so you’ll see all the best pinners they don’t just pin their own stuff they pin other people stuff because they’ve got their board booster pinning a hundred times a day Wow so unlike YouTube where basically they’re always looking for unique content here on Pinterest they’re not and so on Pinterest like with Facebook you’re looking for followers and a lot of the social sites you are are you still trying to play that same game inside of no it’s all it’s all like keyword it’s all like keyword algorithms stuff that’s why I’m saying it’s like really like a search engine more than it is a social network so you want to make sure that your image in addition to your image being beautiful your description needs to be very keyword dense think of it like you would from an SEO perspective use those keywords and the best way to find group boards is to find somebody really big in your niche so like let’s say you’re in food so you type in food babe right and you go to the food babes Pinterest profile and you look at her boards chances are she’s on a bunch of group boards and just click on her boards and then you can see who the owner is and what the requirements are and you can see if you can get on that group board that is awesome well Julie again you I have no idea about this topic and yeah I’ve been sitting thinking it looks like crazy so anyone’s watching those same results here is your host Dave Woodward welcome back to fun hacker radio I’m your host Dave Woodward today you just get me so I was actually yesterday I did a podcast with Kevin page and he reminded me of a topic I’ve been wanting to address for a long time and that’s the idea as far as live events so I want to kind of talked about the five reasons to attend live events and then afterwards I’m gonna give you a couple of words of caution on what to do and what not to do while you’re at a live event so understand that the majority of my relationships and friendships and everything else have come from people I’ve met at live events so there’s quite a few different reasons to attend live events and here are some of my top reasons first of all is the network the people you meet at live events are typically the doers these are people who are willing to spend money not only for the price of the ticket they also are spending money as far as travel hotel and they’re spending money as far as opportunity costs away from their business so when you weigh all of that in these are people who basically said you know what it’s worth it to me to spend this kind of time away from my business and invest as kind of money to get something out of this event so I love going to the live events because typically the people you find there are people who are the doers in your industry so I highly highly recommend number one the importance of understanding the reason of networking while you’re there number two is forced agency and scarcity in your own life and this obviously it applies one of all as far as to money I’m a huge believer in the fact that you have to invest in yourself and one of the best ways of investing yourself is investing in going to a live event second part of the urgency a scarcity aspect is the time urgency in scarcity just like when you’re going on a vacation what you’re gonna find is that you’re gonna get more done before that live event just due to the fact that there’s a deadline in place of when you’re leaving and you know you’re gonna be gone for a couple of days or weeks or whatever it might be and you’ve got to make sure that you get everything done the same thing happens when you come back you’ve now mystic two three four five days and now you’re trying to catch up and so you actually will find that you get a lot more done right around a live event as far as before and afterwards just do the urgency and scarcity of time and the aspect as far as the investment you’ve made in money the third reason is the captive audience and this is another people one and what I mean by that is you’re gonna find that typically the people who are at a live event their captive they’re not doing anything else they’re there for one reason one is to network the other reason that they’re there is to get content and everything else but typically what you’re gonna find is these people blocked out time in their daily life to attend this live event and while you’re there you’re gonna have the opportunity then of meeting with them and discussing and sharing and giving and really diving in deep I look at some of my very first live event that I went to was Yannick Silver’s underground I think it was a second one and I was so impressed by it again I had no idea about internet marketing I didn’t know anything at all what was going on but I was fascinated while I was there and the people I met I met Jeff Walker he never became lifelong friends I met Jeff what I think it was like product launch formula 2 I mean he just hadn’t done much and not many people knew of me wasn’t famously as as he is now I met Jeff Johnson I met Telma Knutson at young silver I met a whole bunch of these guys the very very beginning and all those guys have become dear friends of mine and just because they were at that live event the second live event I went to was Russell Brunson and Stu MacLaren’s under affiliate boot camp and I remember going there and I was at that point a little skeptical just as far as do people really make as much money and all this other kind of stuff and I was really struggling as far as a lot of the myths associated with the internet marketing thing gosh this had to been like I don’t know 2009 2010 2008 2009 sunlight it was first time I met Russell and one of the things I can tell you is when you’re at a live event the reason I say that people are captive is they’re there and they’re willing to share I’ve never seen it mean it’s amazing to me as far as the speakers and everybody you run into they know that they’re there for a reason and they’re so willing to share and to give and you’re gonna find that you get more out of them and you’re able to connect more with them at a live event than anywhere else their business is on hold they’re not trying to do anything else but be at the event I remember Russell got up and very beginning of their seminar gosh I had been almost 10 years ago so it was not that many people knew who Russell was or anything else and I remember he and Stu basically say hey if any of you guys want to take us out to to lunch or dinner and pick our brain just you can sign up at the back well I learned a long time ago that it’s always better to buy your way in than to work your way in and so I ran to the back and signed up for all of making all the lunches and dinners that Russell had available and he and Brett and I spend a ton of time getting to know each other at that live event and that’s become a lifelong friendship and now working relationship and has been again something I heard deeply because of the fact that they were so willing to give I was so willing to give and people were captive there they weren’t doing anything else at that live event about the live event so that’s the third thing the fourth thing is the content typically the content you’re gonna have at a live event are things that are working today right now it’s not something you read in a book it’s not something that worked years ago or hearsay what you find typically whenever you’re at a live event is that’s the most pressing stuff that’s what is cutting-edge technology it’s cutting edge learning it’s cutting edge top of your game type of stuff and so you’ll find that the content that’s typically presented at a live event will be sending the very best stuff that you can implement right away in your business and see drastic results the fifth one is really the lifelong friendships that are created and rekindled by continuing to attend live events it’s been said a million times and that is your net worth is the value of your network and I’m a huge believer in networking and it really truly building deep lasting relationships I’ve been to so many different live events gosh even the last two months I’ve been to four different live events and to me the people you meet there are people you’re gonna know for a very very long time especially if you’re willing to give and you’re willing to share and you’re thinking more about them than you you’ll find that those relationships last forever a lot of people I have interviewed on this podcast are people I have known or have met at live events Kevin Paige again is classical one I just interviewed yesterday because I met him at a live event at genius Network my relationship with Dean gracio see Joel polish I mean it all started because of attending genius Network two years ago and really deepening those relationships over time so those are the top five reasons and if you notice three of those five are all about the people it’s your network it’s the lifelong friendships it’s the captive audience aspect and realize that when you’re at a live event it’s live meaning you need to be alive you need to be who wake you need to be aware you need to be know what’s going on and you need to be giving so what I want to do is give you a couple words of caution and some words of advice having been at literally dozens of live events over the last ten years the first thing I tell you is to plan ahead find out who’s going to be there and identify what you have to offer them what is the value you can provide to those people so if you just go to live event and I mean you can go without planning but trust me if you plan ahead and get an idea as far as who the speakers are who are the presenters who are the people who are gonna be there and then as you as you get close to the event start posting on Facebook hey I’m going to this live event let me know if anyone’s gonna be out there let people if you if you do that you’re gonna have a much more productive and successful event the second thing on that same note kind of flipside is do not be a stalker there is nothing more frustrating for myself or anyone else who’s been of events and to see those basically who are just stalking people and that is you basically hone in on one person and you stalk them everywhere everywhere they turn around you’re there it just gets so annoying and it’s just not real and the most important thing it alive that is you just have to be yourself you’ve got to be real do not be a stalker number three and that is the importance really oh that’s where me to say this is if you can’t if you can level up with an intro and what I mean by that is if you know someone who knows somebody that’s always the best way of making that connection obviously you can go ahead and you can introduce itself cold but if you know someone who knows the person you’re wanting to meet if you can just ask them to introduce you it goes so far and it levels up the game it breaks down a ton of walls and barriers and it’s just so much easier and faster to do the fourth thing and that is be aware when the speakers are speaking there is nothing in the world that is more frustrating than when you’re about ready to get on stage and you’ve got people who are coming up and wanting pictures and they’re wanting to talk to you and you’re going to I’ve I’m trying to get my mojo on here I’m trying to get in my state in in my zone before I go onstage do not you’re gonna see the speakers at the back of the room typically do not go back within 30 minutes to an hour prior to their speaking and speak to them about anything the only thing it’s gonna do is create negative Karma for you so I highly caution you don’t approach speakers within an hour of their speaking let them get in their zone let what they want to do is they want to be on stage and they want to give and give and give and give and give and even though they’re in the same room as you and in the back of the room do not go back and ask for pictures do not go back and stock them do not don’t speak to him let them get in their zone I remember when Tony Robbins was and her last funnel hacking live and was interested as he came in and his state I mean he was sick as a dog with mercury poisoning we had a few minutes of time just to kind of meet him beforehand but that was real brief and then right after that you saw him literally getting in the state jumping up and down getting his literally getting in the state and I was shocked to see how he literally went from being sick as a dog pee could his guts out before he came to the event and then it was he gave and gave and gave and gave and Gabe realize all professional presenters and speakers and those people who want to be there to give they want to be in the best state they want to be able to give and they don’t want a distraction so leave them alone an hour prior to number five if it’s possible make that first introduction though prior to when they’re going to speak you’re gonna find that sometimes other members the audience don’t know who the speakers are and then after they speak and they’ve get delivered all this they get swarmed so if you can if you can have an introduction prior to that person speaking so at least know who you are when you talk to them later it doesn’t have to be a long introduction just real brief enough so they can make a connection number six and that is follow up after with the people that you meet with via text and Facebook messenger or email whichever way you decide to follow up with them do that but don’t do it the day after realize these people are just as busy as you are and what’s going to happen is give them a couple of days because what typically happens is people have their assistants everyone else really just trying to clear out as much as they can without really focusing so let people give people a couple of days before you follow up but try to follow up within three days after the event and the last thing I can tell you and that is always always always remember what’s in it for them and I cannot express that enough and that is go with the attitude of giving and giving and giving and giving and you will find that the more you give the more you help more you’re out there being genuine and being yourself and thinking of others first you I cannot express to you how much that will come back to you over time realize this is a relationship business that’s the best thing about live events is you’re able to develop deep deep relationships with people but make sure that you’re authentic make sure that you’re real make sure that you’re giving and again I really encourage you guys if you’re not attending live events there is no better investment of your time now here’s gonna be a quick commercial plug for a funnel hacking live 2018 if tickets are still available I highly recommend that you’re at our funnel hacking live event in Orlando March 21st the 24th will have 3,000 and 3,500 other funnel hackers there and the agenda is crazy off the charts amazing as far as presenters and speakers and content goes so if you’ve never attended a live event that’s the first one you need to go to if you’ve attended live events then you definitely have this on your calendar but again realize wherever you go make sure that you take a look at 2018 as its coming up this is I’m recording this at the end of November so 2018 is just right around the corner you ought to take a look at your calendar in your budget and everything else and see how many live events can you realistically get to that are a value to you and at least if nothing else commit to going to at least one ideally if you can get to two obviously that’s better but get to at least one live event this next year and if you can get to more by all means do so you’re gonna find that your relationships and your business and the people you get to know is totally gonna just launch your entire business because of live events I’m a huge huge believer in live events there’s no better way of really getting things going faster and pouring fuel on that fire to really ignite your business so take a look at your calendar for next year start looking at what live events you can attend definitely a 10 funnel hacking decade of my life and no one’s ever sent pizza until today kudos to you for paying attention and we’ll see if he gets the job oh it’s been dropped guess what today is it’s that day all right so what’s that about about to start and I got kind of nervous I forgot I haven’t prepared anything so I ran here I just did like 45 slides in the last 45 minutes a slide a minute and then how many were in the room right now so there’s only 66 seats total and there are 64 butts in those oh yeah these are great people in there too is like you got like people there are some people he’s nervous I never saw you walk in this morning hear stories this morning I was trying to leave I had to go to the bathroom so I go my doors my house like the thick like big door so I gotta grab my door and I’m turning and like my brain must be slow today I’m turning it I go this who at my finger goes smack in the door probably 20 minutes I was screaming like well I was screaming like his redneck what happened my Bloods coming off my fingernail and like anyway oh do a dramatic and then never go to the bathroom so I got off some I forgot that’s why Islamic hey I’m good now cuz you’re all wondering so alright here it comes I start every vent like this it goes Oh oh I always start our event like that we’re super excited we’re not getting started I just do that every time oh yeah whoa [Music] sitting next to Russell said the key to go from six to seven figures and and sit there and Russell said there’s no difference going from six to seven figures in terms of hours you work there’s no difference Bob times we think that’s the way it is though instead it’s all about settling one to one it’s all about selling one to me and if you watch the way Russell doesn’t and when you’re gonna learn about its career days the problem the more they like it the more excited I get so I have a call within a few seconds with them and I’m gonna have him pick a problem to solve which is gonna be awesome what problems we haven’t saw I was gonna say geez oh man I’m hit men without a without a trace just kidding [Music] okay so a couple years ago I shouldn’t get a hold of somebody and I tried everything I tried snail mail fax email everything possible and nothing got ahold of them I had this idea said what if I called the pizza place next to his house and deliver pizza with his name on it so I’m deliver pizza and I hear back from him so I had him I call back a couple as later I had him deliver ten pizzas with my name and phone number on it and then he got back home with me anyway I told that story a lot over the last decade in my life and no one’s ever sent a pizza until today today somebody the pizza place knock on door said hey I have a pizza for Russell Brunson I’m like that’s me and then they handed me this note that said Russell got a – that’s – come with this phone number how far is that it’s a great great job I’m impressed that’s um kudos to you for paying attention and we’ll see if he gets what’s up everybody this is russell brunson and welcome to the marketing secrets podcast hope you guys aren’t amazing today so the big question is this power on Brewers like us who didn’t cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets how do we market in a way the lets us get our products and our services and the things that we believe in outs of the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question and this podcast will give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets alright ready so it is the day before Thanksgiving we have twenty bubble soccer balls being delivered to my house we’re gonna be playing a huge bowl soccer game on the Smurfs turf which is really exciting are the astroturf we call it summer turf cos the blue here in Boise but and we’re looking forward to that and everything’s getting ready with rustle practice this morning with the kiddos and I had some cool experience that happened there one that was just a really special moment when I said he hasn’t won that was the reason why most people aren’t successful in business so I’ll give you both and hopefully you listen from the tube so number one it’s really cool it at the kids school there’s a little kid on it’s kind of a crazy story cuz apparently his mom and him both found that cancer about the same time together the cute little family it’s a little kid named Nico and so at the junior high what did we call it David I kind of everyone gotten around this this kid historian trying to help him out and it’s just cute like all the kids we’re Huskies for Nico tisha t-shirts like went down had a show on today said the Huskies were Nico and they do fundraisers for Nico on the ice things and she’s such a cool thing how they like got into school all behind this one person in this one cause and movement and it’s it’s cool I you know I was talk about building mass movements and things like that but I think a lot of times it sees these little private intimate movements it that means so much to people and really helps people to to become something more and there’s just cool watching this and watching my kids participate in this in this movement for for a little kid in their school nameko and so today russ and practice you know that all these price 60 or 70 wrestlers out there all trained to be warriors trying to tough at everything and the middle practice and ego his dad came in when he walked in it just like the whole room went silent and it was like out of respect for him and it’s like just one of the neatest neatest experiences I’ve witnessed in a long time and got chills in there watching and all the kids was looking at him and like talking to him and then they came in and they they presented him because Nikko was a wrestler as well before I’m all these problems happen so they gave him wrestling t-shirts and sweatshirts and stuff like that and then they had an ego lead a cheer so they brought him on in and did their it was just cool thing so that was a fun thing happened today and then afterwards I was talking with the dads and that’s a successful real estate dude here in Boise and it’s kind of funny cuz he was like hey I recognize you guys see you in my newsfeed every single day sorry but I wish I was better looking it was kind of funny because he was in there and we were talking for a while afterwards and and it was interesting because there’s a big reason why more people aren’t successful it’s a mindset we can see something yeah definitely so I want to share with you guys you’re stuck in this mindset week it’s what’s keeping you back I did a podcast episode on a hundred podcast or so ago talking about no outsourcing your lovemaking and in there talked about how like if look at a business like no matter what you’re selling for selling houses tarz supplements like it doesn’t matter what you’re selling you’re selling like you think that part doesn’t matter doesn’t that matter what business you’re in the Marquise with the matters and actually it’s the lifeblood with businesses with drive leads and customers and sales it’s the only thing in action matters like I can take my marketing systems plug in any business into work because I’m human psychology is the same how we get to be the same it’s the same right and so talking to man he’s like yeah well good phones you know I just haven’t done yet you know does it affect me at all and he’s like I guess for Jake he generates leads and sells products it’s like whatever you needed to be he’s like oh so you have anyone in real estate doing I might give it to come to people like I you know top my head I know probably half a dozen or so there’s guy who’s got one of the biggest programs just here in Boise I’m like he’s using it and it’s funny and they say oh you know I hire some come arcing company stuff for me and they’re kind of give us leave Mike so the working good he’s like no not really like I wish we just get rid of all the leads being all the other agents underneath to say they want internet leads so we have to do that but I just I don’t like it and I think it’s dumb and he’s like in right now we’re still in about 100 houses a year and he’s like you know if we got to play we have about 200 houses and then we could afford to hire a full time marketing person to generate leads and stuff and it’s just as the marketing guy here I just like I want to grab the guy just like what are you like how do you not understand this it’s like saying um yeah like it like let’s say you’re you’re struggling in your marriage and you’re like yeah well my wife and I when we start like having you know what marriage gets good and like we’re happy and like everything’s perfect then we’ll go to counseling I think no counseling irreverent is what gets you there right and it’s just funny like at when like when we get wouldn’t grown to hide if we can afford some to generate leads them literally to say no if you can’t afford not to like you should stop everything you’re doing the only thing you should do is generate leads it’s funny because he’s like yeah the biggest person in town they have about a thousand they saw but they’re doing all of it online generally leads online and is able to do because because they had their selling so many houses and I know you understand it’s because they’re doing it they’re able to sell so many houses it’s not because that’s so many houses they can do it it’s like the chicken of the egg it’s like it’s like yeah it’s like you’re trying like if I cut off the oxygen to your brain your brain will stop so like it is the lifeblood I told my was like any last name Harry you guys do stuff like for me like no like we think no I’m like we certify people they can do it but it’s like I mean if you really wanna be successful it’s like you have to become the head of the marketing like you cannot outsource your lovemaking like you can’t do that in business and expect it to be awesome right in your marriage if you’re like eh this is my wife I mean house we love making somebody else like your business your marriage is gonna fail it’s the same thing in your business like it is the lifeblood it is the thing that gets customers into your world and gets them to like you and believe you and trust you and give you money and it’s like the most important part of business I think the biggest problem with funny if you listen to emails like Michael Gerber talks about this like people are technicians they have an entrepreneurial seizure and they think they want start a business because they work in a cake factory and they see the dude who runs the cake shop and I use guys a moron I can do a better job without so they start their own business and they’re not entrepreneurs there’s do to build cakes it’s like the dude who builds a cake like anyone can build a cake like you can hire a lot of people to do that like it’s the person who’s gonna actually Inc sell the crap out the cakes that runs the business like if you don’t have that like your business dies it’s funny like in 2008 when all you when the economy crashed all these companies are crashing I see all these people in the companies like this that their first instinct is not like let’s lower costs on like stupid stuff they all cut their marketing and their sales but like their marketing budget I’m like okay we’re struggling let’s cut off the lifeblood to our head like in wrestling when I’m taking I’m wrestling somebody there’s a little floater watching the video right here both sides your neck there is a thing called a carotid artery and if I want if I’m rust is my owner for a headlock and I put a little bit pressure right there against the credit artery and that fast the blood flow stops to your head it’s like if someone chokes you right and then shake you die with your card if I touch it right that fast you will block out it’s really fun we were I’ll say someone you’re getting you get a book and he’s a whole body goes limp me flip them over and you pin it right because it’s the blood that goes to your brain you cut off the blood it’s it’s like a second and you’re out cold and I’d take it back off in the blood she’s coming your back lie right so companies come with a cut-off they cuff lifeblood and then the company dies like that fast it’s like that is what’s keeping you alive like in times a bad economy they triple down on the advertising triple down on the marketing like that’s anyway you guys all know that I’m just beat I’m preaching to the choir but for everyone else this one can’t talk about it because it’s thought so funny like and I told him and he’s like oh you know lead generation for me is is you know nurturing the clients we have and things like that and you know I can’t outsource that that’s my lovemaking or something I’m like do you think that’s any way any way so that’s like I’ve said you know to say if you wanted her company focus on the marketing the sales of the thing and I’m oh she has our business because you love the thing you do that’s awesome but if you want to have a lot of people use that thing you got to become obsessed with the marketing of the thing that is the key the marketing of the thing is the business the business is not the thing the bit the thing is the fulfillment of whatever you want to do but the business is the marketing don’t think it’s the only thing that actually matters because without that your company dies without that the lifeblood goes off to your brain and instantly your alcohol and that’s why versus another SAS companies other SAS companies are focusing on you know hiring these huge teams of people to do whatever I don’t know what they even do right we focus on the marketing the marketing drives it so there you go guys anyway hold up some of you guys who are thinking and wondering and like oh you know man out some hire a marketing team like it’s hard to do you can do it but if you really want to grow like you got to confess with the marketing everything you’ve got to not try to outsource your lovemaking and realize that that is the business and if you want to be in business you might be an entrepreneurial talent seizure you had if like trying to start this cake company or your whatever thing is you sell like if you want that baby to survive and to live you know being obsessed with the thing is not gonna do it as being obsessed with the marketing of the thing so I hope that helps appreciate you all let go I got a couple hours to work by to do this killed and all right sides always like words of wisdom hey folks good to see you and the only words of wisdom I have is it I think the biggest thing that new entrepreneur or a young entrepreneur can learn from this is it’s not trying to be everything to everyone to do everything yourself you cannot do it by yourself you need a team of people and start making relationships if you’re not where you want to be more than likely they were the problem you have to take the close deep look at yourself and that’s really where the problem lies I want you to grow those problems just keep improving yourself Betsy Network Russell Brunson you made my life easier every day I think about it how can I make more money today and what’s the leash for work to get there first of all make Russell mention your mentor if he’s not because the dudes a genius never met Russell but Russell I love you and a lot of people in common why do you think about why do you launch why do you have a funnel why are you trying to convert people because when you are associated with your purpose which is basically what I help people do is find that deeper why and their purpose I’ve made millions of dollars with may be imperfect offers because I love my people and I know them as well and so just remember that that’s the heart and core of what your funnel the core your funnel is your purpose and so discouraged do your best to remember that why are you doing what you’re doing how is it impacting the people that are receiving this because it’s not just buying it it’s not just data they’re human beings we’re living and breathing on the other end of your communications and how people yourself into their shoes and just consistently refine that process so bring your purpose personal conversion will follow look alikes found you go check out this outfit what the one and oh my gosh look at those lights you choose like you choose blinky shoes Mike annex the only one who’s got licks it out is crazy why not do I that’s it it’s called the why not outfit it’s why not get more attention because that’s what it takes to win influence be able to persuade and get an audience that you can convert sometimes so that’s why I and I run into one only game laughs quick bottles I have a funnel hacker little Ryan and I are on our way to we’re going stripe we’re sending them about four hundred million dollars every single year and so they actually said they would meet with us so since we’re in their home area we’re on our way all right so this is our jacked up traffic is our drivers back their traffic is so stopped and we’re three tenths of a mile so Ryan’s like hey can’t we just get there faster walking hey there guys they yep you totally can there it is straighter see if we can actually get into this place we’re signing in so stripes offices actually are the old drop box offices down here in San Francisco kind of crazy fun little place [Music] all right so Ryan basically was to walk down the streets of the day and look what we saw Mecca that’s Boxer we run our whole company off the box so we’re gonna see if we can actually go in there and say hi to these guys Ryan just broke into this building we’re gonna climb up I insist all right so Ryan and I are basically here in San Francisco and at the opportunity of swinging by boxer to meet with earth basically is CEO boxer we have literally hundreds of people on our platform that’s not thousands of people who are using boxer what do you want to say to the boxer community say hey thanks for using the product and if you haven’t heard of boxer download for active Boise and actually in Boise a big town Aleksey half are on a hackathon going on Russell mt everybody else is rushing it out there and really looked forward to kind of see how things are alright we’ll finally wrapping back in Boise after about it seems like three weeks of travel so back in Boise and guess what there’s snow in the mountains all right I’m gonna grab bags and head to the oh oh oh oh get the calculator out see how much per day were you averaged over the last since we launched I’m really bad at math let me do the math here / yeah 1 2 – 6 equals we average 80 1566 dollars per day 81 grand a day ok now by comparison your goal is to do what like surpass her goal it was crazy think about the first two years it’s way less right like yeah that’s actually really small compared what actually is Danny but that’s still insane as an average private ClickFunnels™ it’s crazy because like click phones off the ground it was like we had something coming up companies the Mac and then you’re able to actually run and even though Apple says you can’t but you you can if you do the little hacks and stuff around it to make it work is it a guitar like hydro cooling and fun stuff like that so this is the graphics card custom 64 gig of ram all the goodies that you can’t actually get on Apple kind of mash still yet hopefully they’ll eventually come out with stuff you can buy but this is like more powerful than anything they sell thank you very much [Music] so macaws house um he’s been cooking some meat on his grill thing for last like few days how long has been
