(laughs) – Best day of the year, huh? (laughs) (majestic music) – Russell is getting interviewed here for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. One of the finalist here, so lot’s going on. And it’s gonna be kind of a crazy day. – [Director] Okay, ready? Yeah just keep your eyes on the camera the entire time. Okay ready, one, two, three, go. (upbeat music) – Our company, we are obsessed with entrepreneurs, so this is a huge honor to be just apart of this group. It’s so amazing to see all these entrepreneurs and how every single one of the people here are doing their best to try to change their world in their own little way, and it’s inspiring. This quote, I think, sums it up the best. It says, here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in square holes, the ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of the rules and they have no respect for the status quo, You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them, because they change things, they push the human race forward. and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius because they are the ones who are crazy enough to think they can actually change the world, and they are the ones who do. 4 July 2018 with Russell Brunson

Guess who just got here. I think he’s excited for some fireworks. Are you ready for some fireworks? (cheers) – So there’s a reason why the reason why the Fourth of July is by far my favorite holiday. I look forward to it all year long. And the main reason is something that probably a lot of people don’t know about me and my personal life. So I have an older sister, her name is Stacy, and she was born mentally handicapped, and she actually passed away when she was 30 years old. She’s two years older than me, so when I was 28. Just one of the most amazing people on planet Earth. About a year after she passed away, there’s a really neat guy that moved into the church that I go to, and his name is Jesse Pewterbaugh. – I missed you so much. And when I first met Jesse, just instantly fell in love with him. Became my best friend and after that became even more like a brother. (bluegrass music) Spent a lot of time with Jesse, lot of holidays with Jesse. But by far the best time with Jesse is on 4th of July. ♪ Reaching to the sky, this land we love ♪ We’d always do every year is we buy a whole bunch of smoke bombs, and we blow ’em up together and it’s a ton of fun. Now as much fun as that is, my favorite things to teach Jesse about is I always tell him that some day, my goal for him is to get to heaven and to marry my sister. And then Jesse and I will be real brothers. So it’s a lot of fun, love Jesse, love the 4th of July and I love smoke bombs. Okay, they’ve been trying all night to make the snowman. The bubble soccer snowman. Hey who wants to build a snowman? I know it seems simple, it’s one page, but it’s like a billion pages behind this and 90 share funnels for funnels and I’m so proud of it. A tear coming to my eye. Anyways, it’s awesome. (upbeat music) All right, here we go, Operation Toussaint. The movie premier, 7 pm. All right guys, how are you feeling? Coming down to the end? – Down to the wire. – [Dave] Down to the wire. – Forces of evil were conspiring against us today. (laughs) But we made it. – [Dave] Jake how are we doing? – It’s good, it’s for a good cause, it feels good. – [Dave] Feels good. – Yeah, feels really good. – [Dave] You set? – We’re set, we’re ready. – I like it, go. – [Dave] Game time. What’s a movie premier without popcorn? Got Operation Underground Railroad. All right so it’s a little early, got about a half hour before we kick things off here. We’ve got people already coming in. Some are friends and family members and everything. We appreciate all you guys coming out.

Operation Underground Railroad

I am super-psyched for tonight, it’s a really special night. And I’m glad to, excited to have share with all of you guys. Assumed you guys heard about a year ago, we got contacted and were asked if we would help, to help Operation Underground Railroad to help save more children. I didn’t know what that organization was, I had no idea, ahead of time. (dramatic music) – I never dreamed that I would work in Haiti. I didn’t know anything really about Haiti. Until I learned about a little boy who was born in Utah, U.S. citizen and was kidnapped in Haiti from his church, where his father was the pastor. I read about it in the local newspaper. I thought that I could make it into a U.S. case and I couldn’t because it wasn’t. We had to leave our jobs. I had to leave my job because I just had to do something about it. We went to Haiti to look for his son. And we never found him. – People weren’t talking about human trafficking like they are now and really it’s because of the work and efforts by organizations like Operation Underground Railroad. – It’s a subject that nobody wants to think about or talk about. It’s the worst part of humanity. Look, 2 virgins, 13 and 14 years old. – Okay, wow. – And yet we gotta do something about it. – Police, get on the ground right now. – On the ground right now. – Get on the ground right now. Get on the ground, put that down, lie on the ground. – Every 30 seconds, a child is sold. They’re sold for sex, they’re sold for labor. They’re sold for organ harvesting, which is something we’re now getting into. There’s 6 million children that are forced into one of those three categories right now. And the world doesn’t know. – Not a lot of people know, but the profile for men who travel abroad to have sex with kids are American citizens. – The U.S. creates the demand, the highest producer and consumer of child pornography is right here in the United States.

If you lost one of your children to one of these evil people

– Well if you lost one of your children to one of these evil people, you’d do anything to get even and get your child back. – Had a knock on my door one day, Tim said, listen I really feel like I could do better leaving the government. (dramatic music) – I’d find a group of kids in Guatemala or Colombia and I couldn’t do anything about it because it wasn’t a U.S. case. It’s outside of the jurisdiction and I understood that. However that doesn’t mean that we couldn’t be doing more.

Tim Ballard

Tim Ballard left his law enforcement career, everything that he knew, his pension, his security, to start a nonprofit called Operation Underground Railroad. They’ve done jumps everywhere throughout the world, rescued kids and then helped them get to a safe place with their Aftercare programs. – He had a way that we could really make an impact, but they needed a million dollars to start and I said, I’m in. (dramatic music) – I like little girls – You like little girls? – We had set up this operation that looked like it went flawless. – We unfortunately got some very frustrating news. – [Jessica] The traffickers were being released and that all the girls were released. – They paid money to the right people, to the judges. The job’s not quite done, but it’s almost done because now we need to go back and we need to rearrest every single one of these traffickers. It will be a message to Haiti, to America, to the whole world that there are good people everywhere that will stand up for them.

But First, Dave and Myles visit the blue turf at Boise State University to dole out a Guinness Book Of World Records plaque to head football coach, Bryan Harsin, and Athletic Director, Curt Apsey, for breaking the record for largest bubble soccer game played. Next, it’s all quiet on the Click Funnels front as the team prepares for a webinar, but this webinar day is a little different. Russell is busy prepping Kaelin Poulin from Lady Boss to lead the webinar as he starts to create new attractive characters for the Click Funnels brand. Kaelin obviously crushes the webinar pitch and Russell is now officially retired from Click Funnels…but not really. Finally, as the 100th episode winds down Dave reveals the new 2CCX box that will go out to 2CCX coaches and members.

Guinness world record plaque for the largest bubble soccer game

Alright so Miles and I are about ready to head out and we’re heading down to Boise State. Miles you tell me what we’re gonna be doing a Boise State today? We’re presenting the Guinness world record plaque for the largest bubble soccer game. “It is my distinct pleasure to present the Guinness world record to Russell, Dave, Todd & the executive management team of Clickfunnels. You are officially amazing!” We’re gonna have coach Harrison there, gonna have the A.D. for Boise State, gonna have a bunch of media there, so right now we’re trying to compile this, adding up numbers and everything so, we’re cutting it close like we always do, what’s up let’s go! So these are the plaques that are actually presented here. mmm Clickfunnels Guinness World Record. Alright Miles, game on buddy are you nervous? Dude you have the plaques! Oh yeah that would be an important thing. Okay here we are Boise State Stadium on the blue it’s a big old stadium when you’re now and below it. Alright hopefully we don’t screw this up only got one shot at it. My name’s Dave Woodward I’m the chief development officer at Clickfunnels. So we set the world record here on the blue, I want to thank coach Harrison for allowing us to use this field and most importantly Boise State for all they do for the community and I want to congratulate you thank you so much we appreciate this. For Boise State this is a great award and honor we love to see records being broken thank you very much.

The weirdest webinar day I’ve ever experienced

This is like the weirdest webinar day I’ve ever experienced here. Our office is like quiet, it’s really really weird but literally within hour and 15 minutes this thing’s taking off so let’s kind of figure out what’s going on. Quiet isn’t it? Calm before this storm what’s happening? The webinar’s coming! I’ve never seen this happen for it, it’s like Russell’s not gonna have to work out as powerpoints or anything else it’s like a weird feeling. Russell: “I’m done, I retired officially, Kaeline’s now in charge of being attractive character for Clickfunnels. Jamie’s bustin out trying to make sure this thing actually works, Ron is busy bat-line signal is up! It’s going on, we’re all set getting ready, getting ready glasses are on, I’m out! Miles just typing away like crazy. Look at Brett crushing it over here, this is just like I’ve never seen an office this quiet before a huge webinar, this is really really really bizarre. John sitting here making sure everything’s working and ready to go, here in an hour it’s so close. Tell me how many registrations we had? John: 7,648. Alright so we’re talking about literally the evolution of the attractive character and groundbreaking craziness that’s happening, literally less than like 45 minutes, well so we’re just talking about how there’s this common belief in like the business community that if you if you are the face of the business (like Russell is the face of clickfunnels) – if you’re that person, then you’re always going to be inextricably linked to the business and you’re never gonna be able to pull yourself out and you’re always gonna have to be the attractive character. It’s like so cool but then you get stuck.

How do you bring in other attractive characters?

So like four years ago when we launched clickfunnels, I thought about that. How do I sell clickfunnels some day? if we wanted you know not that I’m going to, but if we wanted to if Russell is clickfunnels then it’s not gonna sell. So this was the thought and I know i’d execute it. I just knew I couldn’t be the attractive character all the time I had to be the initial momentum and growth, but then how do you like bring in other attractive characters, like what’s the next level of that? And so it’s crazy the last three and a half years when training tons of people in our community to do the perfect webinar to do my webinar pitch there are their own stories, their own thing and so this is the first time we’ve done it: Kaeline basically took my offer but she’s doing the webinar with her own style and story, her own everything, but she just used my offer and she’s doing the whole webinar today and so when she does it she’s gonna crush it. So now, Russell has a presentation, Kaeline has a presentation, so that’s two people that are selling clickfunnels and then eventually we would have a third person and a fourth and a fifth and then 12. Then it’ll be cool we’ll have 12 attractive characters and I’m one of many and if I want to say like just step away, my presentation still stands, but I’m one of a whole bunch of success students so the magic is that you are the attractive character initially, but long term your clients are your attractive characters. That’s the secret and then we’ve got a whole foundation of them and that’s the magic.

Success stories of the success stories!

If you do your job right and you actually serve them and change their lives they become the attractive characters. For those who really want to get deep into marketing doctrine here, notice my language patterns over the last eight months or so, no longer I just talked about how Brandon became of my success stories. I talked about success stories of the success stories. I’m talking about how Brandon helped over 1.3 million women lose weight so the success stories of your success stories become the third level of the attractive character.

We’re watching Kaeline close the webinar now everyone’s in here we had happen on the big screen right here anyway Kaeline’s a way better fit person than me and I’m officially retiring she’s now in charge of clickfunnels anyway so much for watching this . Alright just wrapped it: the first one of hopefully many to come. What do you think she killed it? what I haven’t seen someone to over a hundred Katie webinar besides me like live live like that was that’s very very rare very rare and she freaking blew past it so this will be at least half a million dollars before the end of the campaign which is crazy that was amazing. Oh way to go Kaeline that was awesome!

As Russell preps for Mother Funnel and the Spawn of Mother Funnel we see that not only does Russell present barefoot, but sometimes he needs a little rehearsal to really nail his speeches especially without a teleprompter… In an eventful trip to San Diego, Brett hosts the 2XXC event while Myles and Dave try to get some footage for Dream 100. Dave and Myles show up to an ‘exotic car rental company’ to find no cars, however, they do eventually find some Beamer, Benz, and Bentleys at O’Gara’s in La Jolla. Dave and Myles also visit Billy Gene and his company Billy Gene Is Marketing for a quick office tour, and we get a ‘face-full’ of Billy Gene. We also get a glimpse behind the scenes at the editing magic coming from Kevin Anson. Then finally, as the crew heads home they run into Stephen and Korbin as Stephen rushes home to welcome a new member to the Funnel Hacker family.

This is going to be a fun, exciting experience. And it’s really one of my favorite programs that we’ve ever launched because it really gets people from zero to six figures, and from six figures to seven figures, and from seven figures to eight figures. We just are gonna be rolling out a new piece here and that’s gonna be our One Comma Club, and that’s just going to be just killer as well. So we’re gonna get people that first thousand dollars. Once they make that first money, then it becomes real to them and from there it’s just onward and upward. Heading to the beach! The Spawn of Mother Funnel

Today, everybody is pretty much gone from the office. There’s literally nobody back here because the rest of the crew is in San Diego at the 2 Comma X Coaching Program, and I’m stuck here working, meh. So, what we’re working on here is Mother Funnel, which has been, we call it Mother Funnel. First it was Super Funnel and then it kept going and going and it got so big, we decided to one day call it Mother Funnel. So Mother Funnel is almost done and then we had this stupid idea in the middle of Mother Funnel to have Mother Funnel get pregnant and we are creating what we now call, “The Spawn of Mother Funnel.” So this is what Mother Funnel looks like, which was like a six month project. And then the Spawn of Mother Funnel is born from it. It looks kind of like this and like this, and anyway, it’s been a lot of work. So Jake and Nick were here all night last night. I don’t even know, until… How long were you actually here until? (arrow dings) – 2:00-2:30. – 2:30. – [Russell] 2:30? – We stayed up ’til 12:30, we were about to pass out, and then I kicked on The Greatest Showman and- (laughing) – [Russell] We’re back. – A lot of singing, a lot of weirdness. – So now they did all the hard work and I have to go be the dancing cheerleader on stage talking about different types of funnels. You guys want to see what’s happening? I’ll take you through here, look at how dead it is in here. Alright, so take you back here into the event room and this is what’s happening. (arrow dings) The Spawn of Mother Funnel videos, you excited for these? – Yup. – Yes I am.

Use ClickFunnels to sell your products

Alright, so what’s happening is I’m gonna be showing different types of funnels. So lead funnels, and then sales funnels, and end funnels. Here’s my mini script I kinda wrote out for each one. Blah blah blah, I’ve got to ad-lib it ’cause Brandon won’t get me a teleprompter. So this is what’s going to be happening. So you want to use click funnels to sell your products and your services? Well, the good news is you’re in the right spot. Our members have used simple lead funnels like the ones I’m about to show you to generate over half of a billion leads inside their ClickFunnels account. (bright music) So, you want to use ClickFunnels to sell… So, you want to use ClickFunnels to sell your products, your services? Well, the good news is… What is the good news? Now, there are basically three types.. Two down, one to go. We’re obviously filming and apparently, you guys may or may not know, I started to try to lose weight again ’cause I’ve gotten fat since funnel hacking live. I have my little fit pal tracking all my macro, micros, all that kind of stuff. And then somebody today dropped off donuts. What!? Well these aren’t any donuts, these are fit donuts. They actually have in macros. I gotta figure out if I can eat any of these, or how many I can eat. Here’s the official lunch for today. We’ve got a my fit donut and a huge salad. I’m down three pounds from yesterday. So maybe three pounds a day for the next three days. That’d be awesome. (happy piano music) – [Todd] Alright, so here’s registration. Registration actually started last night, and what happened was, when they moved our tables, someone stole our tablecloth.

We actually had these cool Two Comma Club X tablecloths and someone ripped them off. Not a good thing. (high energy music) – Yo, this has been fun. So we’ve been talking about this and dreaming about this and finally. Literally, we signed a contract for this space in December, not knowing if anybody would show up. Do you see a lotta cars in there? – [Myles] I don’t see a freakin’ one. – [Dave] Huh, let’s see. – [Myles] Oh my God. – [Dave] Oh, there’s a good sign. Prestige rentals, luxury cars, yachts, rentals.

How ya feel about this, Myles? – So embarrassed, I can’t wait ’til this airs. (Dave laughs) Aw, son of a gun. – So now we gotta go find some cars. (sustained orchestral chord) – So it’s back-story time, Kevin. – Sweet, I love back-story time! Let’s hear it, Dave. – For those of you guys who don’t know, Kevin Anson is the guy, basically, who’s doing a lot of our video editing. (symphonic dance-music) (arrow dings) (music stops, Kevin clicks teeth) – So Russell and I are out here and Todd are basically shooting cameras wherever we’re goin’. But we’re having lunch here with Tyler and Tyler goes, “Hey, I know Kevin!” – Kevin and I grew up together. Little elementary school, here in San Diego, all the way up to Rancho Bernardo High School. – So what dirt do you have on Kevin? – None, nothing. – Nothing? – I have no dirt. No dirt other than he’s got a cool course coming out. I know that much. – So Kevin, basically, was one of those behind the scenes guys in high school. So you can just kind of allude to whatever that might mean. He was behind the scenes. (symphonic dance-music) – [Dave] We’re here at Billy Gene is Marketing headquarters Inc.’s headquarters. – So what do we got? – [Dave] (gasps) Welcome! Dave Woodward and Myles Clifford. Oh, check out Myles. Seriously, where is that picture from? – [Myles] That was my wedding. – [Dave] You’re wedding. – Yeah, I think actually, that’s my Facebook profile picture, me and my wife. That was a lot of weight ago, I gotta get back there. A goal. – [Dave] That’s the goal? (laughs) – You guys are live here in San Diego, in our headquarters.

Full Tour Of Billy Gene Marketing

This is where the magic happens, this is where we create all of our crazy-ass videos and just all the crazy things that we do inside our office. This is it, I’ll give you guys a full tour. You see the sign. THat’s how you know you’re in the right place. Why do we have my big-ass head here on the sign? Guys, marketing number one: Be remembered. So every time someone drives and sees my big-ass head, that’s how you do it, it’s branding, it’s free branding. It’s on the sign, too, so… (Dave laughs) So this is kind of the main area. This is where we have all of our morning huddle-ups. And then also, this basketball is everything. So people will shoot for cash, like if you do something tight and you make a shot, you could win a hundred bucks. Or win nothing, or bet against me and I’ll win money. (music drowns out chatter) We have five people, full-time, who do nothing, but create content. Make videos, short videos, long videos, story-tell. (music drowns out chatter) This is the customer support/marketing team. (music drowns out chatter) Now this wheel, this is actually… I think every office should have it ’cause it just makes it exciting. So we do wheel spins and when anyone does something tight, or like that was a great a move, or they’re super supportive to one of our members. Come in here, this is the sales pit, or the sales turf, I should call it. – [Dave] I love it, the sales turf. – And my favorite, upstairs. (music drowns out talking) This is the Xbox lounge. So this room serves no purpose outside for me to play Xbox and to have fun. So I do about 90 percent of our teaching up here.

Come down to La Joya

(music drowns out talking) (arrow dings) (music drowns out talking) And then we just painted this one green. So when I do need to film something in outer space, I can do that. Yeah, so that’s the office, that’s the BGIM headquarters. (settling urban music) – [Dave] Alright, Myles, so where are we off to today? – We’re going to a sports car company in La Joya. This is actually gonna be a real car lot. I’ve made sure this time, at least. I think, I don’t know, I have no idea. (resonant urban music) Down here taking pictures for our Dream 100 letter of all these amazing cars. Look at these, look at this, look at this. What is your dream car? Ya know, we actually just met with someone yesterday and he would come down here. Like five years ago, he’d come, he’d look at the car just to get motivation to work towards, something to work towards. And I mean being around this type of stuff, yeah, totally, I totally see it. These are amazing vehicles. – So if you’re ever lacking motivation, come down to La Joya and this is just a crazy, crazy place. Unbelievable cars. Check some of these things out. (resonant urban music) A few of us flew home early, couple different reasons. One is I hate to stay the extra night. Myles came along with me and when Myles was sittin’ there, we thought, “Well, hey, Steven and Corbin might as well come too!” Steven, what’s going on in your life? Oh, you know, wife’s probably giving birth. Literally, any moment. – [Dave] Crazy! – I’m waitin’ on the kid now. – [Dave] So we went through Vegas, Corbin goes through Oakland, and is here at the exact same time, even though he left a half-hour later. If you had a physical store, you would engage with the customers and tell them why each item in it is great. Last step in your initial funnel education

(thuds) – All right, welcome back, now we are moving on to the last step in your initial funnel education. And this is one of the most important, yet one that people understand the least. And it makes me laugh because, if you look at traditional selling a product or a service, like people know this, it’s how do you sell the product or service, right? We call this online, inside of our phones, we call it copywriting. It’s the words on the page, the headlines, the words in the video, the words on the webinar, like all those things, it’s the words. And it’s funny because in traditional business, let’s say you are starting a vacuum company, going door-to-door selling vacuums, right? If you come to the door and you knock on the door, and you’re like, hey, I got a vacuum, it’s 800 bucks. Nobody’s gonna give you money for that, right? Yet for some reason, in our funnels, that’s what we do. We have a picture of the thing, and we have the price, and an order button, and that is not how things are sold, right? If you want to make a lot of money selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door, you hire a really good salesperson to go in and sell the product, right? And good salespeople can make a lot of money. And so, inside of our funnels, right, we have this value ladder we’re taking people through. We have the value at each step. We have the offer at each step, but the last piece is we have to sell those things. We have to actually sell them. Just because you have a picture of a vacuum cleaner with an order button, nobody’s gonna buy it, unless you actually sell that thing.

If you haven’t read the book Expert Secrets

And that’s when the disconnects for some reason, people know offline, but they forget when they come online. A couple things I recommend, number one is if you haven’t read the book Expert Secrets, the reason why I wrote this book was because a lot of people, after they read the DotCom Secrets book, they understood, like, funnel structure. Like, okay, here’s page one and page two, and here’s the right order and those kind of things. And I watched as the Click Funnels community started building amazing funnels, but so many people would drive traffic into those funnels, and they never made any money. And they come back to me like, Russell, why is this not working? You said funnels are the greatest things in the world. And I look at their pages, and literally it’s like, glanny pages, the picture of an e-Cover with an opt-in box I’m like, what’s that? They’re like, when they give me the email, they get that. I’m like, you, like, I wouldn’t know that. Like, how’d they do? Or they have, again, they’d have their product, with a picture of their product and a $300 order button. It’s like, you need to sell the products. And so, the reason why I wrote this book was to help people understand how do you sell things, how do you position your offer, how do you make an irresistible offer, like, what are the words and the phrases, and how do you tell the stories in a way to sell your product? And so, I recommend getting this book, if nothing else, to understand, like, how to put all the words on the pages the right way. Okay? Inside this Expert Secrets book, some people think this is only, it’s only for, if you wanna be selling information products, but the concepts in here are true for whatever it is your selling.

Understanding how to tell a story in a way that sells

Understanding how to tell a story in a way that sells your product or your service. The best salespeople, online and offline, are people that are really good at telling stories. And this book walks you through how we tell stories, the story structure, all those kind of things. So if you read this, it’ll help you understand how to actually present your product in the right way without having to learn all the techy, copywriting stuff that’s, honesty, it’s really hard, it’s kind of confusing, and to be completely honest, it’s kind of boring. The Expert Secrets book will make this exciting and live for you, show you how to tell your story in a way that gets people excited about buying your vacuum cleaner, or your coaching, or your consulting, or your supplements, or whatever it is that you are selling. So that’d be number one. Get this book and study the sections on how to tell your stories. Number two, Jim Edwards is one of our partners here at Click Funnels. He went through the DotCom Seekers book and took all the sales scripts in here. He went through the Expert Secrets book and took all the sales scripts and storytelling scripts inside of here, and we created a separate company and created a software program called Funnel Scripts. What Funnel Scripts is is a really cool tool, where you’re like, hey, I need a headline for my page. You may not know what to do or like what to put in, so you answer four or five questions, you click a button, and it’s going to pop out, like, 150 of the best headlines in the world, wrapped around your product, and your service.

Copywriting is the key to make these funnels tick

If you’re like, I need a video, but I don’t know what to do, you fill a couple of pieces, you click a button, and boom, it gives you an entire video script. It does all of the scripts and the copywriting for all your pages are done in there. And, it has helped so many people save so much time and have so much success. It is an external product here, you don’t have to have it to be successful, but I recommend looking through it and getting a copy ’cause it’ll make your job so much easier. I’ve seen people, who in the past, would spend four or five weeks trying to write all the copy in their funnels. Get that process done in like an hour, hour and a half sometimes. And it’s very simple, and it’s very easy. So that is a shortcut that’ll dramatically speed up your success. But the copy is probably the most important part of the funnels. And you’re selling everywhere, you start at the ad, right? Someone sees the ad, they’re like, “What’s the copy on that, what are the words, “what are things that get people to click on the ad?” Then they come to the first page of the funnel. What are the words that get them to want this offer, so you can provide value to ’em? Then they opt-in or whatever, they go to the next page, it’s like, hey, what are the words that make them want this offer, so they get value, so they want the next thing from you, and that’s the last piece. So, it’s so vitally important, I want you guys to understand, copywriting is the key to make these funnels tick. It sort of lights them on fire, it gets people to take action when they come into your process.

You’re just one funnel away

And, you know, we have a philosophy, a motto, whatever you want to call it, here inside of ClickFunnels, we talk about it with our customers all of the time, you probably here me talk about it, but it’s the concept of you’re just one funnel away, right? And, the key to making that funnel hit is this, it’s all the pieces we just went through. It’s understanding the value ladder, creating offers, having the copy. Like, all those pieces, those are the keys. And one funnel, again, you hit one funnel, and it’ll change everything for you. And so, I want you guys to understand that. Stories for the Mother Funnel

(rushing drumbeats) – Alright, it’s six o’clock in the, almost six, on Monday morning, and I’m like dead tired, trying to open my eyes right now. Heading over to Russell’s right now, see if we can get a workout in before, before the week begins. James, I believe, is heading downtown. I think he’s wimping out on us today. He’s not gonna come to work out, so– (Mario death music) We’ve got, I think Kevin Anson’s coming into town this week. He’s got filming here. (rushing drumbeats) He’s got some crazy cool stories. He and Brad are literally flying around the country right now, filming some of the stories for the Mother Funnel. (rushing drumbeats) Alright, just what I figured, James isn’t here, but I got someone else’s car here, and music’s going on inside. Let’s check out who’s inside here today. Alright, so we’re working on a Mother Funnel

I was like, what if we go and build a funnel for them for free, explode all of the money on that, fuck taking their products, their stuff, split the money we’re making on the funnel 50, 50, their ads with their money, and then the first upsell or the first for getting the funnel stacked, is always click funnels. That way they get us to build the funnels for them, we build click funnels. It’s their ad dollar instead of ours, and they get all the leads, we get commission on them. It’s their funnels, and we all win. – Dude. – Brilliant. (powerful opera music) – Alright, so we’re working on a Mother Funnel. You may have seen this, this is the doodle of Mother Funnel, and then Jake’s job is to turn that doodle into an actual wire frame that the whole team can get on. We’ve got this window, this might cause some echo. We got this egg pad thing I’m gonna put my voice recorder on, and a bunch of other things so hopefully it’ll work. (screaming) I’ve got bad news for you. Stats say that 80 percent of businesses fail within 18 months, and what makes it worse is those numbers are actually going up, why? Well, it has a lot to do with our attention span. Businesses back in the 90’s had the luxury of a 20 minute attention span to be able to explain their business to potential customers. After our company collapsed where I laid off like 80 people over night, it was every day for two years, and I would have quit if I didn’t have tax obligations to IRS that would’ve thrown me in jail if I would’ve quit. those same results here is your host Dave Woodward welcome back everybody this is in a fun new years beginning its 2018 and I am so excited for some of the crazy stuff that’s gonna happen in 2018 but one of the things I want to talk about real quick is a concept that I think most people really don’t understand I was talking with Garrett white a while back about this and recently he had ended up doing him one of his daily podcasts about the topic as well I thought you know I really need to explain this in more detail to our funnel hacking audience to really make sure they understand how this concept works in their marketing and in the things that you’re actually selling so the whole idea here is what are you selling are you selling a commodity or an experience I’m a huge believer in experiences for Christmas and everything else I hate just giving normal gifts for me it’s more all about the experience so I love taking trips I love providing people experiences that they wouldn’t normally have whatever that might be just recently I ended up having back surgery and that’s topic for another day but anyways part of the experience I wanted for my boys to have was the experience of snowmobiling and so they actually end up going snowmobiling without me while I was getting surgery on that day but it was one of the things they they loved it was such an affront I’m for them the for the boys just took off and had a ton of fun just snowmobiling up in McCall Idaho where we not far from where we live and it was one things that they continued talking about all the time I love taking trips with the kids and I love going to you know foreign countries and having the experience third-world type of situations every every other year I take my boys down to Mexico and we end up going down there and while we’re there we actually end up working in a medical hospital basically I don’t have any medical experience but while we’re there my kids have had the opportunity of actually working with plastic surgeons in working with general surgeons and eye doctors everything else and helping them in provide medical services to people who normally couldn’t afford and those the type of experiences that they’ve continued to remember forever and ever and to me that’s what it’s all about unfortunate for a lot of us in our marketing we end up going just kind of the opposite direction and our product becomes very price-sensitive becomes very commoditized and I think it’s one of the things you have to really pay attention to when you’re when you’re out and really working on your product so take for example let’s talk with Garrett white while back and his podcast on thing he was talking about was he and his daughter just gone out to dinner they went to a teppanyaki Japanese grill and again he was saying you know the food wasn’t that great but what was exciting was the experience of having the chef prepare the food in front of them and after that they ended up going over to McDonald’s and got a McFlurry and he was just basically talking about no this is ice cream that you know it’s 3 4 or 5 bucks whatever it is but that same ice cream could be an experience and be you sold for a lot more so I want to talk to you a little bit about this in your marketing how that works so take for example as far as ice cream I love ice cream my youngest son Jackson is the dessert King every single night he has to have some side type of dessert and it’s all about the experience so take for example when you get ice cream you can go down to you know McDonald’s and get McFlurry for you know 3 bucks or whatever you go through drive through a Dairy Queen and get a blizzard or you can go to like if you’re in Austin one of my favorite places in Austin and go to is Amy’s ice cream Amy’s ice cream is an establishment of Austin and they’re on 6th Street and it basically there’s always a line no matter when you go and it’s because of the experience and that experience basically goes back to kind of the the whole marble slab type of ice cream where you you go in you pick what type of ice cream you want you pick good type of flavor and fix seed you want add it to that and they chopped it all up and they basically provide it to you in in a scoop basically they throw the throw it up in the air and catch it in the bowl and it’s all the experience and you spend anywhere from eight to ten dollars for this little tiny bowl of ice cream but it’s the experience and because of that Amy’s has become this huge popular place that everyone goes to in Austin to get ice cream the same thing happens in any other type of of product or service you have to think of what is the experience that I can provide for these people one of the things that they would really like or that they would talk about now take for example on high end coaching programs a lot of times it’s the experience it’s people spend a lot of money because they actually at the opportune experiencing being with the Guru and sitting in the masterminds and because of that they’re able to get a much higher price point for that kind of stuff so when you take a look at your own marketing you take a look and see what are the types of things that you can do to add to it to not make it a commodity but to make it much more of an experience it’s been one of things we’ve I’ve looked at here at clickfunnels when we have a one of our large rooms basically where we have our mastermind meetings and everything else we’ve actually toyed around with the idea of having other gurus basically be able to bring their people to click funnels headquarters and use use that conference room as part of the experience for their students and things I’ve seen the same thing to happen with gel polish and genius Network and the experience that happens down there bade Rose talking with him as far as some of his head high-end masterminds one of the things that he’s done is on his PI and masterminds where basically it’s a three-day event the first day they come in and they’re with a coach and not all of them are actually with pedro’s most of more ashley with other coaches they then have the second day where they basically come together and a group environment are taught by a couple of different people who are specialists in different areas but the third day is an experience where they then go out and if they’re if they’re in Vegas they typically go on a big hike and they hike up to one of the top peaks in that area when they’re in San Diego they go out and they go surfing with pedro’s and so it’s that ik type of an experience that Bond’s that person more to the coach or anything that they might be working with this whole idea is one of things I really encourage when you take a look at your marketing one of the types of things that you can do to provide an experience for your buyer so that it’s not just a commodity I’ve seen the same thing as far as Jason flavin has done a lot of things with in the whole Amazon ecommerce situations where they’re bundling different products where they’re no longer able to compare apples to apples Ezra Firestone does the same thing and we’re if take for example if you’re selling a product on Amazon I don’t what’s I’m looking right here I’ve got a clickfunnels water bottle from me so let’s say you’re selling a water bottle and that’s the product well you can get a water bottle four to three before bucks but if all the said you start bundling it with different products and services where a person can no longer compare it to other water bottles it now becomes an experience as far as the things they’re gonna get with that Dollar Shave Club is phenomenal at doing this here again you think you’re gonna go ahead and get Dollar Shave Club and Dollar beard Club work the exact same way and really what you’re buying into it’s the experience you think you’re getting a razor you know for a buck reality is you’re your average car value when you leave there is typically in the neighborhood of 50 to 100 dollars it’s because of all the other experiences that you can have with shaving it’s the shave balm it’s the shave it’s the shaving lotions it’s beard oil it’s beard vitamins to help your beard grow thicker and and stronger it’s all those types of things that become part of an experience even though it’s a product the person’s buying into the experience they’re gonna have with that product so as you take a look at your marketing pay attention the different types of things that you could do and look at what others are doing obviously we all used to spend a ton of time talking about funnel hacking I want you to take a look at who has some of the people leaders in your industry and are they creating the experience for their the consumer or is it just a commodity you’ll find that anybody who’s super successful especially as far as increasing average cart value the way they do that is by creating an experience for the user and sometimes it’s not a physical experience sometimes it’s actual it’s just a mental experience that they’re taking that person through it’s an emotional experience or they have this emotional buying with that product for example my wife loves Lululemon and she has an emotional connection and an experience by literally just walking into the store the way it smells the way it looks it’s it becomes this experience of shopping at Lululemon so realize that and because of that they’re able to charge you know 75 to 120 dollars for leggings that you could get on Amazon or Target for a ton less but again it’s the experience of doing that and she will go on and on about why those leggings are so much better than the ones at any other place and that’s what she prefers but it’s because of the experience and others have now caught on to that and are trying to duplicate what Lululemon has done so just realize even though you’re selling a commodity or a product you can still have an experience and try to find different things that you can do to create an experience and a lot of that’s in your marketing as far as how you’re presenting it and what you’re saying how how what is the then Julie messaging me she’s like wait news coming town I’m having massive f o mo and I was like wait the fear of missing out and I remember how I Oh which is like I just switched my entire schedule and looking at my file for a week and now Julie’s here so that’s what FOMO does to you apparently y across the Boise Boise this year doubt and I was like six and I was telling I was telling James it’s like the same rental car the same flight attendants a motel room throw your back ey you just move here so and then I told Dave about this and Dave’s to some fun he’s like that’s why California the he came down FOMO and I was terrible case of FOMO there have been back surgeries everything else I’m like these guys are out working out all the time I had this fear of missing out so this morning that’s those same results here is your host Dave Woodward hey every welcome back again to funnel hacker radio I’m your host Dave literate and again today we have the one and only Julie stone with us we’re super excited today because this is a topic that people are always asking about cuz everyone’s always it for gosh I know you can spend money on Facebook and you do all these things to drive traffic but what if I have no money and I want to be able to get free traffic or build my funnel so we brought Julie on to kind of talk about how to actually do this so what are some of the ideas and things that you have as far as idea is to make that happen yeah all right so one of my biggest ways obviously it goes without saying that spamming and but there is a kind of a cool way and I call it attraction marketing and and it’s a little bit more intensive been turning on a facebook ad but this is a legit way to do it so the first thing that you should do is get your personal Facebook profile kind of look into little business II you mean I know you’re not really supposed to use it for business but put a nice cover photo up there you know make sure your page is linked in your bio and you know just get it looking not like you’re gonna show like 8000 pictures of your cat or something all right get it looking and make sure your avatar is your face like not a cat not a dog not a cartoon like your face and then what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna go into Facebook groups but before you do that you’re gonna post on your timeline something about your webinar or your funnel or whatever you know what I mean like post something and I call this wall baked and this is like bait it’s just sitting on your personal timeline where you have complete free reign and then all you need to do is go into Facebook groups do not post just answer questions your main goal is to just answer questions and be as helpful as you can know mal-intent know promo no spam usually what happens is if you go and help a hundred people twenty or thirty of them are gonna go click on your profile and there’s your wall bait sitting right there I love that because that’s what that’s what they do your latest post right and don’t make it a weird selfie if you like make it some make it the entrance to your funnel that’s a cool idea I love wall bait or good that term I coined that that’s now trademarked wall bait so that’s like my big way like if you need to fill up a webinar need to get 20 30 people on it just help people and then help people who would probably like your webinar and put the webinar on your profile so that’s one way the second way is to put it as the signature in your email ID and your email like put a little tagline and be like hey do you want to know how to whatever you know and then put a link there so that’s another way the third ways to get on podcasts right this yes so start looking for podcasts lots of podcasters need interviewees like it’s a constant need so find podcasts where your target audience lives and make sure that you have a really easy link because it’s all audio so don’t be like go to Julie’s giant com keyword groups key word you know make it easy so that you can say it and then people can go to that link I think that’s one of the main things I obviously those guys are listening for knock already you know I have a lot of people on I always give them at the end the key here any time you’re on a podcast obviously you got to provide a massive amount of value before you start doing any self promotion or anything like that yeah but most hosts are gonna be very generous with you as far as if you just provided 20 minutes of value to their audience you have no problem saying hey you know what where could they find you where can they reach out to you exactly and keep that super super simple I guess some people or it is this huge long thing I’m like you have to understand people are either driving they’re exercising yeah they’re not gonna remember that yeah make special links for you know I was on yo fire and he was like you you know make a link that’s like your domain slash fire yeah right so do you do the same thing if you’re on Dave’s you know podcast it’s like you know Julie’s story and calm slash funnel hacker something like that yeah GLD does a great job anytime you listen to his his links always end in fire fire yeah so so podcasts are great way email signature you know it’s you have to like it’s more slow going if you have no ad budget it’s just more slow going obviously you can do things like Pinterest we had an episode on Pinterest write pinterest with blogs which lead into your funnel you can do that you can also do guest posting on other people’s sites where there’s already an audience that’s quite Ian’s guest has a blog yeah so like offering to guest post on you know somebody else’s blog where they will provide you with you know on a link and so then you can add the link to your funnel that way so obviously like traditional PR publicity can get tons of traffic like if you get a good media piece you can get a lot of traffic that way and then JV partners this is a huge one like three one hundred I’m huge believer in that yeah so we just actually I mean this is important when I favor talkin tears dream 100 it was really fun we had CRISPR boss who is commenting on a couple of my facebook lives has followed Russell he was super kind the other day and sent me a very very genuine gift I’d done a facebook live right around Christmastime about one of my favorite Christmas carols I heard the bells on Christmas Day and so my post was basically God is not dead nor doth he sleep which came from the Carroll and he actually had written a handwritten note sent me this a little tiny travel treasure chest where he opened it up and inside were two little tiny books about the size of my thumb which were picture books about to Carol and they’d bookmark that piece there as far as God is not dead nor doth he sleep and then today I walked in the office and Russell loves getting presents so if you want to get on Russell’s list send great presents to the office but it’s really cool because he sent a very personal thing to Russell as you know Russell’s him remember the Church of Jesus Christ Latter day Saints were Mormons and the first prophet was Joseph Smith and he is his brother Hyrum were both martyred and basically what happened was there was a little bronze I don’t what is three inches so like that little tiny thing but it was the thought that he put behind it and it was really cool because Chris Berg basically had taken a picture the one that he had on his desk and that was on the back of the letter and then he had enclosed that in his gift to Russell again not asking for anything it was just totally thank you so much I’ve gotten all this value from the content you’re you’re providing and my way of saying thank you to you was just by sending this and so it’s kind of cool Julian era both there as Russell opening it and it was it was touching to Russell because he put so much thought into it on the flip side we had someone who is dying to spend once an hour worth of Russell’s time wants him to film a video wants to write the foreword of his book gave a send a gift to the Austin then just shows up and like it doesn’t work that way that’s the wrong way to do it that’s called a bribe exactly yeah so like the dream 100 is like building those strategic relationships because at some point there may be a situation where you can there’s a win-win for both of you and then you can leverage their audience you know but it’s gotta be like you can’t be weird about it this is the thing it’s it’s about being thoughtful and giving value upfront at first and so one you know David on that I want to cut you off there but then the whole idea is what Julie just said I can’t stress that enough it is being thoughtful and giving value so often everyone it’s what’s in it for me what’s in it for me what’s in it for me and that especially if you don’t have money right now to spend on a huge ad budget then what you have is time right right and so make sure that that time is valuable time for you as well as for whoever you’re reaching out to exactly and you know people can smell genuinely I want to build a relationship versus I just want something from you but you know Dana Derek’s who wrote the dream 100 book he’s basically said like one dream 100 person who couldn’t who could give me a shout out is worth thousands and thousands of dollars in ad and ad money I totally agree with that yeah so there’s a couple other things you can do SEO is still something you can do we were talking about that just the other day with aural Adams here in the office yeah so you know in order to use SEO again organic traffic your content has to be it has to be like 10,000 words amazing keyword rich it’s even better if you can get on an authority domain like entrepreneur inks Forbes like that you know so that it can rank up and if you can get a link on there into your funnel you know you’ve got just free traffic all the live long day so let’s kind of talk a little more about thanks I think this is something a lot of you guys are listening could do when we’re saying keyword rich there’s a difference between keyword rich versus keyword stuffing yes so if you don’t mind kind of define the difference there in what we’re talking about yeah so Google’s release now Google used to not be smart and gone were the days you know where you could like let’s say you wanted to write an article on funnels you just write sales funnels like 8 million times right that’s not that doesn’t work anymore you do want your keyword in some strategic places you want it in the title you want it in the permalink so like the link that comes on the end you want to in your meta description of the post and you want it in an h1 tag inside the post itself and you also want it one or two times in the content ideally hyperlinked as well but that’s about it the rest of the time you need to take that keyword and think of all the other ways that you might say that keyword is that the LSI we were talking about LSI yeah latent semantic index yeah and and so you would think of other ways like maybe you would use pipeline or sales funnel versus funnel or sales pipeline or maybe you would say you know lead generation or something like that like because Google wants to see all the words that you would say like a human would say not like a machine and then make sure all of your photos and images and everything on the page are also have keywords or those LSI words that are like like that I think that’s the part a lot of people forget like images you get a lot of it’s crazy how many people click on images how many people I mean those images actually is a great place to make sure you have those keywords yeah in Google Image Search you know people search for images on Google yeah and then it leads them perfect idea yeah try to get on as authoritative as a domain as possible and you know good content will get links if you can get it on a big site like entrepreneur you don’t really need to worry about it like people will just link into it if you’re on a dinky little site that’s your site you may have to work a little harder to get some links awesome yeah any other ideas you can think of off top your head yeah Instagram Instagram is another one you get one link on Instagram but if you can get 10,000 followers you also get the swipe up feature on Instagram stories it’s again it’s about delivering content that the platform and the people on that platform naturally like you can’t try to like go into Instagram and like put weird things that instagramers don’t like you know leverage whatever’s on that platform and try to be as native to the plot as possible and in lab you can use the biolink as the entry point to your funnel I think it’s great I know shoutouts to things you can buy there also shout outs you can trade so you can actually go out to other peoples pages who have similar type of followers it’s gonna be really hard if you have 500 followers to go to a person with 50,000 right but if you’ve got 500 followers you can reach out to someone else and do a shout out for them and they’ll do the shout out for you as well is especially if it’s in the same type of niche or industry the drill yeah absolutely and you know YouTube is a whole other channel that you can get traffic from this is very SEO driven so you’re looking to create videos with keywords that people are searching for on YouTube really you know keyword rich descriptions tags and link into your funnel LinkedIn I’ve not cracked the Lincoln code but I’ve heard that it’s like any social media platform it’s about being native to the platform and really delivering the kind of content that that platform wants and likes I love that YouTube born things we use is two modal okay where you kind of go in each and look to see what what are some of the if you find another video that’s getting a lot of traffic you can basically if yours in TubeMogul or there’s other ones that do the same type thing where it’ll literally tell you the keywords that are in there what people are searching for and then you can create a video similar to that one usually obvious something a little bit better or something like that that you get that type of stuff but that’s or even reduce we’re seeing a lot of reviews on YouTube they’re getting a lot of traffic yes yep so you know obviously Facebook we talked about we talked about doing the wall bait on your personal profile Facebook lives are still really great ways to get organic reach so you know all of this takes time but if you don’t have money
