Here’s your host Dave Woodward everybody. Welcome back last week was so much fun. I had the opportunity in with Russell down in Phoenix at Joe polish and in grazioso 600k group.

And while we were there they brought in a special guest at Molly Bloom. You’re familiar with the movie came out first year Molly’s game was basically she talked about her story and her life and she’s known as the poker princess because of all the crazy things. She was actually able to pull off if you’re not very familiar with her story getting go watch the video watch the trailer.

I’ll try to post the trailer down below and but this is one basically who started off as an Olympic hopeful skiing from Little or up from just outside of Denver and Colorado and It ended up eventually trying to go into law school and everything else things that work out exactly how she wanted and so what happened was she had getting a job down in LA and her boss the side had kind of things going on where he had his own little poker thing going. Well this became an enormous opportunity for where she ended up little becoming known as the poker princess.

And again, I won’t take away all of her her Thunder go ahead and take a look at the trailer down below but understand what happened was she got the point where the she was literally was dealing with Hollywood’s Elite as well as the you know top athletes across the country as well as a whole bunch of other gamblers and things and it was fascinating just kind of talking to her about her story.

So it was basically to earn $50,000 to to come to the her poker parties is kind of what it started at. And then what ends up happening was because of all the things that she was doing all of a sudden she ended up getting your house raided by the FBI and ended up standing front of a Judge facing 20 years in prison.

So I want to kind of tell you some of the things that she talked about what the insights I gathered from her life experiences and in probably next month or so, she’s actually on the podcast and then I’ll let her tell her her whole story.

So one of the things that you mentioned was how important is that people actually value experiences and this is the thing I can tell you I’ve seen in so many different things from a marketing side where what you said was What mattered most was the experience? It wasn’t the actual game itself. It was the lavish hotels.

It was the way that people were treated. It was the way her presentation was was given and the secrecy behind it and it was this whole crazy experience and this massive Adrenaline Rush that she created around these poker tournaments that made people just value her as the host.

And she said she basically never did anything wrong until she started taking a percentage of the pot and that’s where things went wrong for her. But the things she said was what she learned out of all of it was how important the experiences were and said when you start looking at your own Mark and you got to look at the types of things, what are the experiences that you’re giving to your clients?

It’s that culture that we talk so much about you here. It’s referred to as far as culture because we really try to make sure that it’s an experience but take a look at phone hacking live. We tried to make it a massive massive experience for people when they attend that’s not a normal type of event almost verges on that of being a rock rock concert type of deal as you take a look at your own marketing and the way in which you speak with and you communicate with your Anybody who’s following you?

What is the type of experience that they’re getting with you and try to make try to find some way of increasing that experience take for example, one of the things we added to our last offering of R2 comma Club X coaching program was to go on a cruise with Russell and and the other coaches and so that it enhances and adds to the actual product itself.

Yannick silver used to have his Maverick trips, which were these just crazy crazy experiences whether it was down in the Baja racing down there or doing 0g flights or these Halo type of events skydiving and so understand that as you take a look at the people that you’re working with what are the type of experiences that they want people go to live events for an experienced people attend webinars for an experienced people go to movies for experience. So look at your market and find out what is the type of experience that you’re giving them.

Second thing she said was you need to get comfortable taking risks again. She started off as an Olympic hopeful and ended up having to she had a real bad scoliosis her neck and had to have her vertebrae fused and because of that she wasn’t able to compete but she said she got very very good at an early age of understanding the importance of taking risks as an entrepreneur. That’s one of the main things you have to understand you have to get very very good at feeling comfortable taking those risks and that Comfort comes Louis by just taking more and more risks and understanding how far you really can go frequently.

We’ve got our mindset that stem cell you can’t do that. You can’t do this realize that there’s so much more that you really can do if you’re really willing to stretch yourself. So get uncomfortable taking risks number three. She said was that she was absolutely shocked when she realized how much could happen in a very short period of time.

He said, you know what literally anything can happen in your life. If you really focus on it and try to make things happen. She goes for years ago. She was standing in front of a judge facing prison term of over 20 years and four years later. She was on the red carpet attending the Oscars and a four-year period of time her whole life changed.

So realize no matter what your past is no matter how bad you may think things have been the future is whatever you want to make it and you got to go all out. You got to find a way of playing the game and of really realizing that life is there to be lived and get comfortable taking risks, but more importantly make sure you’re going for it and that you know what you really want long term.

Number four. She said is you have to know your numbers said especially in her highest risks poker type of game. She really had to know her numbers. She said she never wanted to have really really good poker players at the table because they would they would win all the time. She said what she really hoped is that she understood her numbers and what she wanted was a very large amount of money circulating among the same players every single month or during her frequency.

So by the end of the year people look back and say, you know what, I kind of broke even or I didn’t lose that much or that you know what I love the experience behind it and it was just the cost of admission. She said you got to get very very good at knowing your numbers, especially in business obviously from a marketing standpoint. We always talk a ton about what your average car value. What’s your cost to acquire a customer?

Those are some of the two most important metrics when because at that point if you can get your You get your cost acquire customer to be less than or equal to your average cart value. You literally can throw as much money into that as you want as long as you’ve got a big back end because back end is going to be fueled by free customers.

So realize that you’ve got to know your numbers number five was celebrity currents currency. And this is one of things I tie Russell and talk so much about celebrity currency. This goes back to the importance of you have to make you have to really make sure that you’re always relevant. And like last year when we were going out to launch Russell’s book expert Secrets. I was fascinated to see as we started going towards our Dream 100 how many people had not moved towards Facebook. Everyone was still only had email lists where we were looking at really expanding and doing a Facebook live book tour. A lot of the people we work with in the past had remained relevant or hadn’t grown into the next big thing.

Same thing years ago zechs my 10-year anniversary. My very first internet marketing product was a product called legendary marketers where I flew around the country and it was kind of like an MTV Cribs type of thing where I filmed at that time eight of the best internet marketers to see what their lifestyle was. Like, I see what the business was like and fast forward 10 years of rustling.

We’re joking. He said, you know, maybe we ought to do a 10-year special are you know, kind of a where are they now type of episode Russell was one of the eight that I filmed it was kind of where my Genesis and my business relationship with Russell starting of ten years ago doing that. But the crazy thing is I take a look at that of the a that I There’s only two maybe three that have remained relevant.

Everyone else is kind of Gone by the wayside. So understand you have to remain relevant. The way you remain relevant is you continue to publish you continue to grow you continue to learn you continue to do everything you possibly can to provide more and more content and feedback to the marketplace.

So remaining relevant is the currency that you create and that typically comes through being out there and Publishing on a regular basis. Number six kind of similar to this but ties into the value of relationships talked about this so many times that my kids. I’m sure sick and tired of hearing it but I a huge believer that in life. There’s nothing more important than the relationship that you have with others and you have to spend the time to develop those relationships.

I’m not a person who’s got really deep relationships with a whole bunch of people. There’s really only a handful that have really deep deep relationships with but the same time I value the relationships that I’ve built over the last 20 plus years of being in business because it’s through those relationships that you establish your integrity that’s through those relationships that you actually cross paths.

So many different times. I’ve been fascinated just to see over the last 10 years how many times I’ve ran into people either on the either on my way up or on my way down of my financial career or business career, whatever it might be and realizing the importance of you’ve always have to treat people the same no matter if they are the CEO or if The janitor to me, it’s always the same and understand that the value those relationships is something you need to invest in number seven. She said where the blind spots and she said no matter who you are every single one of us has blind spots and those blind spots they for her it was greed and significance.

She could never get enough it was if so-and-so is making this she wanted to make this much more and the other thing was significance where she wanted significance was as you’ll see in life people who are highly significant driven.

They do a whole bunch of things that typically they probably wouldn’t do if they if significance wasn’t that important significance is something that every single one of us craves in life, but you have to decide at what is the cost of that significance and more importantly what the significance look like to you greed. Obviously, it goes without saying as far as as what that is, but every one of us have some sort of agreed element there’s certain things we want. It’s how do you control that? And how do you I think one of the main things I’ve seen in my own personal life is being able to be excited for other people success by being able to be excited for other people success. It’s that gratitude that you get in your life.

And the weirdest thing is stuff comes back to you jealousy and greed are two of the biggest cancers in any business and I was as I was talking to Molly about his you know, what that was one of her biggest things was she just always wanted more and it was typically what someone else have. So in her case there was a business partner who had things on the East Coast on the west coast and she’s like, well if I can’t do that, I’ll take the east coast and they’ll come back and I’ll gobble him up which she did a number eight was to find joy in everyday life. This is kind of just the opposite of what she was saying as far as the blind spots.

She said once she realized what her blind spots were she had the opportunity of really focusing and finding joy in everyday life and that actually is where her true significance came from. It was a my shift. It was an emotional shift. It was a significant shift where she really started to realize that she could live in a smaller moments that it Have to be an adrenaline rush 24/7 she made mention as far as like with her grandma how she used to make her grandma was just this silly old lady who had no insights whatsoever.

And as everything was taken away from her. She found herself spending time with her grandma and how much after a while. She actually looked forward to those times of just going to sit with her grandma and just to talk and to realize how important that time was for not only for her grandma, but how much how important was for Mali as well.

So I really encourage you guys to find out what are the how do you find joy in your everyday life? I know as entrepreneurs were typically hard pushing driving to the next thing soon as we achieve whatever we’re looking for. We really never celebrated. There’s on to the next. My wife has been really good for me in this area of making sure that I take a step back and enjoy the process enjoy the game of life and have fun and celebrate the wins celebrating the winds to me has been a ton of fun.

The more important for that is actually celebrating. the process of the wind enjoying enjoying the pain of the workout at times enjoying going through just the everyday life piece of it and I can’t thank my wife enough for the way when she’s taught me that the other thing she talked about and this was one of things I see happen quite a bit is number nine here and that was the constant reaction and stimulus when we when you live in a situation or environment where you have a ton of stimulus around you and things are always being thrown at you. What it actually does is it typically decreases your creativity and your imagination and she said when she didn’t have as much going on in which she is starting her business.

She was super super creative, but then all of a sudden when there was such a massive amount of stimulus in such insane amount of just reactivity for that’s where she got sloppy is where she made a lot of mistakes and she said if she was to do it all over again on that aspect what a man thinks she would do is to take time to take a step back and to really focus and to get your own quiet time because it’s during that quiet time that you get the imagination that the creativity to come. That’s that’s really the quiet time as Most important thing for an entrepreneur which is hardest thing to find because you think I’ve got a million things I got to do.

But as you spend that time focusing on that quiet time, whether it’s in the morning or night or maybe it’s during the day where you literally shut everything off you turn off the phones to turn off the computer shut down the Wi-Fi and you literally sit and think and try to focus on being creative and being imaginative.

That’s where problems really truly get solved. That’s where you get these huge breakthroughs. The problem for most of us is we live in just a quick stimulus-response 24/7 and because of that you look back at the end of the year like, oh my gosh, I really didn’t accomplish as much as I thought or I’m not being as creative as I used to be so really encourage you guys to find that time make the time and by making that time you’ll find that you’re much more creative and that your imagination flows again.

It was a great experience this spending time with Molly. She’s gonna be on a podcast here hopefully next month or so is we get some dates together. But again if you take a look at some things I learned Her I hope that some of these will actually be a valued benefit to you and your business and most importantly I get I mention this quite a bit and that’s the importance of publishing its importance of remaining relevant, and whether that publishing is your own content or of taking someone else’s content you’ve seen on this podcast. I’ve done both ways where for the when I first started everything was someone else’s content recently.

What’s up, buddy? I know we’ve been we’ve been playing tag on this for just a hot second. I’ve been a little I’ve been a little world trotting lately Globe for living room trotty. I mean, you’re in Kuala Lumpur right now, so you began got Austin coming back up and then Sardinia, I mean, yes again, eh and then in Croatia to actually forget that don’t want to the list.

Incredible and the people that I get to play for lately have been just out of this world with like I got to do a Big Show with Snoop Dogg and Flowrider, Florida Georgia Line and then you know, those are all super fund and really exciting but they don’t really hold a light to all of the entrepreneurs.

I got to be honest because I get to do the eighth as people to so we’re working with this shit and Yannick silver and you know one day one day we’re going to be we’re going to be at subtle hacking live. I’m telling you well, for those of people who don’t know what you do tell people what it is why I’m so excited to have you on the show.

So I played music for a living and I get to do it. Where’s David? You make it like it’s no big deal you play music. You have to understand this guy. We met down at e and c and I’m like what who is doing all their music and it was like the best the best music I Ever heard any event. I’m like, this is just crazy.

And so it’s not that you just play music and then you were so kind to send me different tracks and things. I mean your music you have this ability to literally connect emotionally through music with people and to take them on a ride. That’s just crazy. I mean, it’s just insane. I wish I had a soundtrack just playing in the background of our podcast and I well we can if we could definitely do that for you bro. I may have sent you the most. Yeah. Absolutely.

I really appreciate that. I think one of the things that that I have been blessed to do over the last 25 years is really learned, you know, what makes people move and so I’ve and what I say move what moves them internally, you know, like what moves their heart what moves them in their seats and I’ve been playing for Mindvalley is a Fest for a long time which actually has given me this incredible palette of That are from Life 9 90 different countries every age you can think of and then what they have to do is like all join together on the dance floor. So my job is to go through enough music and enough genres and enough energy that I can get everybody together and I’ve done it, you know, I think it’s just because I’m old now I know how to do.

Well I could say it was just so impactful for me to see that kind of stuff. I think the part that is exciting to me is you’re not only I mean you have like you’re just this multifaceted multi-talented guy who’s got that going you also are using funnels in a niche that people would never ever think you could use funnels in and you’re also teaching other people how to do this kind of stuff. So help people understand.

What is what it how are you using a funnel in your line of work? And what are you teaching people do sure?

Okay, and let me I would love to back up real fast to to kind of give folks the And why we are really really adamant about using funnels and and why we do what we do as one of the big things about Captain. I think the first thing we have to back up to is you have to tell people why shoebox Moses and that’s the Moses. That’s the first thing I just glanced by that story so that story first and then what absolutely so and that’s actually where I was going to go. So I’m glad we’re on the same page here.

Cuz when we went back a lot of people know me inside the inside the marketing space as Sammy T and I got to do one and I’m adopted from the Philippines and what I one thing I got to do three and a half years ago was go back and visit my orphanage in the Philippines. So we found my orphanage through Facebook and just doing some crazy digging and the craziest thing we found out once we got to this orphanage Dave is that I found out I was literally left in a shoebox in a dumpster and they put me in a dumpster and that’s how I started life.

So I got sober Scott had a totally different plan for me. So I was found and I was adopted later by a family in the in United States so fast forward after I find this information I’m with you know, the Mavericks and we’re all sitting on Necker Island. I’m DJ and with like for there for Richard Branson and they’re just like what are you going to do with this information their shoe box and we just kind of joking and then like I have no idea and they, you know comes around to me talking about how I really admired the story of Moses because he was found on the Nile and he ended up freeing his people and so I was kind of thinking about what we do with that and they’re like, well, you’ve always been my little shoebox Moses and all of a sudden it’s like Bing and so that was the name that my family my friends are like a shoebox. Hey, what up as be Moses? How you doing?

And so it has just turned into this beautiful Mission name for me. Well, it’s crazy in the type back together with funnels.

Now, I teach ton of kids how to become DJ’s or Vibe creators and I have a huge platform that we use to capture people’s emails and just to put them into a funnel to teach them some Basics on how to be a really cool party hero or a DJ and we love ClickFunnels™ because it makes it so easy. And that’s where a lot of people like to start but the it’s really cool because if you go into that whole Space we can show you everything you need to be a party hero all the way up to if you want to take it farther or you can be a you know, a life cycle. Cool, DJ or event person or you can be a festival DJ. So there’s this this Echelon in this step-by-step place to go if you want to be a party hero, so that’s what we do at Global DJ now, I love it. What a party hero is and I can tell you since I have absolutely no rhythm and no beat and I can’t dance or anything else my wife would love if I had any any rhythm whatsoever. So the songs will actually mix and key and so that’s something that a lot of people don’t realize like, you know, if you if you play a song by Flowrider and then you also Play the song Sugar by by Maroon 5. So it’s also yeah, there’s also a little opt-in floor a I think it’s like I think I only charge like seven bucks for this book, but it’s like got 20 years of all of the stuff that I’ve taught in it are taught myself and had to learn and have the like bit get grabbed the bits and pieces of to learn how to really Crush to wedding which is where I started and so it shows you what it takes to have like a five thousand dollar set it up how to lie know get everybody in the right frame of mind for a good party how to find really good music and then how to execute that with very like if you if you really wanted to this book will show you how to do six or seven different events. No problems.

That’s that’s the other little opt-in you’ll get and then after that said you want to continue on into the festival Style part of it. We give you another so there’s two really cool books that we give you. The second one is written by my partner who throws Global Dance Festival Global Dance Festival for those that are not familiar with the festival world has sixty thousand attendees had it each year.

So you’re just looking at this sea of people and Echo Tech who wrote the book on how to plan your sets for a festival of that size.

Yeah.But so Echo Tech teachers for like 200 bucks an hour and the whole course is like 297 for the whole thing. And it’s like I think we did 80 lessons or something like that. It’s oh my God. Yeah.

It’s just nuts how much how much value is packed in there. So and then we have a group of DJ’s around the world that use our stuff one thing that happens just like you know with with people that get courses is that you have to stay inside a community to just be like, what did I do? How did I make this mix? How come my mix sounds like crap? What did you do? Like try to keep everybody lined up and happy and and and not making train wrecks. Like if your DJ Trainwreck you’re not going to go very far. So he wants to be a good today.

So that’s that’s yeah and there’s really not a lot of courses that get taught like we say from the main stage by the people that are throwing festivals. In fact, I don’t even know if there is one. So that’s kind of this really beautiful unique thing we’re able to do But again, my whole idea is to build out this platform. So you’re going to see and this is what’s great too is because we just stumbled on the ClickFunnels™ over the last year and so we’re really in this great growth stage where we’re just learning how powerful this tool is and how far and how reaching it can be when it comes to showing not just how to DJ but how to become an evolved for former.

And I know I keeps, you know shamelessly plugging this that funnel hacking live when I played there for you guys. It’ll be that same thing. What you guys are doing is really helping the people that have never had a voice on how to Market and how to get there their stuff out there. So I know that with this platform what we’re going to build is a place where one day people that have never learned how to make more than a thousand dollars of these performers can make five and ten to fifteen thousand is So we’re that’s what we’re building right now because that’s what I that’s where I got. And so that’s what’s great about a funnel for us as an artist. As any artist. You send people down the funnel you have the opportunity to touch them so they can know like and trust you with free value. They can really get a ton of good stuff from you before they are like, hey just buy my album for nine bucks by the time they get into that, you know, third, you know funnel.

They’re just like wow, thank you for all the free music. I think I have a girlfriend now and I can introduce my music to somebody you know that That’s the magic of being able to communicate through this style. It’s just not as I just didn’t know that we should do that. I’m like, this is awesome. So that’s what we’re using it as a personal artist for outside of just teaching people stuff. It’s just a great way to give people value.

You know, I honestly I just am so excited about what you’re doing because I hear people say things like well, it doesn’t work in my industry. I’m like trust me it works in any industry and I love seeing what you’re doing in the music industry and not only just the music industry but in teaching other people and it goes back to that whole thing because you are honestly you’re like one of the most giving people in the world, even though we weren’t able to get your phone hacking live you like.

And it’s just it’s who you are and I think that’s what is so exciting is as people understand the more you give you really do get more back in your life. What’s up everybody? So there’s an interesting discussion going on in the Facebook group this morning and kind of triggered some thoughts.

I found it kind of disturbing actually how a lot of people don’t actually want the right answer. They want something that’s intellectually stimulating to them. I think so basically people are were asking how do you scale business from 1 million to 10 million dollars? What’s the one most important thing that you should do to scale your business from 1 million to 10 million dollars, right?

And the answer that people seem to enjoy it like is oh, will you need to build a great team become a great leader read more books delegate things to people like these are all great generic things that you should do. No matter what level you’re trying to scale to write like you should focus on these things. Those are important what not, but they don’t want the simple answer that results in the success more more often than ever.

Basically, you need to create a product create an offer with great value more value than you were actually charging.

Right? So you need to provide 10 x whatever your cost is a hundred X whatever your cost is ideally and then you need to get the right offer the right pitch for this right so, you know your offer and then you skel it that’s it throughout all of our customers and ClickFunnels™.

There’s been three primary types of funnels and types of offers that we’ve seen that have created the vast majority of the eight-figure funnels that are in our system and that is the perfect webinar coaching and shipwire a tripwire shipping product fulfillment type stuff small products on the front end larger back in cells for additional physical products on the back end but the most common of those in the one that I think the majority of every person in this group can actually accomplish is the perfect webinar.

All you need to do is create the right perfect webinar and Scout if you can get from 0 to 1 million dollars on your perfect webinar, you can take that. Perfect webinar you can add more traffic to it and you can get from one to ten million dollars on it. You can Implement other strategies during 100 can have permanent Facebook ads and all kinds of different traffic generating sources.

But until you get that perfect webinar, right you should not be doing anything else. You should not be focusing on hiring HR teams and getting and recruiting the best talent in the world. If you’ve got a product in an offer that creates 10x or 100x more value than what you’re charging and you’ve got a perfect webinar that Snelling it and converting traffic and has the metrics right on it.

Those are the two pieces you need focus on skelling those don’t focus on delegating and reading 500 books and over analyzing every possible thing. You can come up with an Outsourcing and systematizing and doing all this other stuff. Yeah. Those are great. You can do those on the side the primary thing you should be focusing on is getting that perfect webinar right and skelling and getting more traffic to it.

So with all that said they’ll really think you’re going to find out about Colby that I love more than anything else is this is a guy who loves talking tactics.

It’s how do you really make things happen? And that’s Lee all the fluffy side that’s we want to focus on in this podcast and this video that is really how do you actually make stuff happen? So let me give you an idea as far as what we’re talking about Colby’s been in the social media realm now for over 14 years like pre Facebook type of stuff and it’s super cool because it literally just stab you had on your Instagram stories today was the fact you’ve had over 14,000 26 pieces of content fourteen thousand pieces of content in 14 years. Yep. Yeah, it’s crazy.

So people always ask me all the time, you know gosh dig how the world you guys create so much content. Well, we’ve got my me we got Russell’s got a ton of people on our team who are helping us everything else. You’re a guy who literally just creates a massive amount of content yourself.

I know now, you got a somewhat systematized but let’s kind of talk about how do you do this and more importantly though Colby help people understand the why behind it the love a great question. So they let me start with this is any time I have the opportunity to get in front of a Audience and either share a story or share a tactic if one person can take something away. It’s absolutely worth the time and investment and I’m honored to have this opportunity to speak to your audience. So thanks for having me on my pleasure. Thank you. Where do we distribute content? And what are the expectations around content development? And what do we want to return and for me?

It’s you know, you know a little bit about my background. I came, you know, I had a mattress on the floor growing up. I didn’t have a ton my parents had a lot of love but I didn’t have a financial money was not a thing for us.

So as I started to set out for some financial goals hit some financial goals. I got into core but for the music business and the corporate America went through that process and as I did that I had some awesome accolades of spending some time inside a machine. I built a large business outside of corporate America raced a bunch of fun man got sued and lost everything in the process of this.

Here’s the interesting thing. Thing is I didn’t use my phone or video to Showcase all the highlights of what I was doing. It wasn’t like look at my boat. Look at my house. Look at my wips. Look at my vacation homes when I decided to turn the camera on and we look at 14 years. I’ll tell you what we did before because it was like six years of me reviewing music and all the rotors a musician took Al all and then I’ve done 10,000 pieces of content to years. Like if you look at the math of it and the two years I was sitting in my kitchen whoa, whoa, whoa, wait a second ten thousand and two years. Yeah easy. He’s most of my most of my Creations come in the last fight 36 months probably total crazy.

Yep. So for me it was I had gotten to a place of financial success where I was comfortable. I build what I found was there’s this huge need. I was an executive at to Fortune 500 companies in Phoenix responsible for marketing and sales programs for companies like HP and Microsoft and Dell and I built the 500 million dollar business inside of one of these machines. That was my big claim to fame but I realized it was a big dent in the in the systems that we were using to measure utilization of software.

I learned how to code by watching YouTube videos and I hired some people overseas to help me get past a specific point that I couldn’t teach myself. I raised a little bit of capoeira is about two million dollars in capital. We had a million dollars of customer business already and I was leaving my Corporate America job. I took six months to leave. I had a lawyer I did everything the right way and the day that I was moving into my office. I got sued in everything fellow fall apart and the process of that what I found out was as an executive, you can’t start another business it became personal nothing was done wrong, but everything stop it.

Have a plan B we can argue if that’s right or wrong. It just it was the I didn’t have a plan B. I went all in on this project in the middle of all of this. I’m sitting in my house David. I want you to like think about this as a kid who didn’t have anything. I’m in this seven better six bedroom house that I built from the ground up with my new wife and my four kids and my new wife have been together 11 years now, but we’re in the house and we picked the tiles man.

We picked the carpet like the the extended countertops the paint in the office that will artificial wood Stone like flooring and like all of that stuff. We picked that stuff out and here I am at the end of this like what am I going to do? Because I couldn’t afford my house or losing the house. Everything was behind me and boxes. My wife went to my in-laws don’t know if I’m going to have a relationship after that and I feel like a complete failure because I put everything on the line and cash out. My kids college funds to go start this multi-million dollar software company and I sat there and I don’t I can’t tell you why I wish I could say I knew why I don’t know why I was sitting there just like my phone sitting here and I picked up the phone.

I flipped it around. I Video on and I said, this is entrepreneurship. This is it everything I own is behind me tomorrow. They’re turning the power off and I’m going to a rental m42. I’ve been in a rental in 20 years. Here’s what I do know, you can’t kill me and I’ve learned a lot in 25 years of building high performance business.

What I’m going to do is I’m going to create a business and I’m going to take you on that Journey from the very beginning. I’ve no idea what’s going to happen. I don’t know where I’m gonna go. I don’t know what we’re doing, but I’m going to film every piece of it. I’m going to take you along on that Journey that video goes the next video goes and what I did is I just started showing up every single day documenting what it was like to try to reset and rebuild these things that I’d lost it took people on that Journey with me and in the middle of that what I noticed was because you spent 20 years doing anything you learn some things so, you know for business is all really basic. I create a product or solution to solve that problem. I validate that my product or Actually solves that problem and the people will pay for it people miss that when people pay for it. And then the fourth thing is I call it sell your face off any business ever Dave from Adam and Eve selling Adam the Apple to Apple computer has all Fallen you can use that you can use at your side like that one. You can use that knees up. That’s some that all falls within those four pillars.

So what I knew was I just needed to find groups of people with problems that I had a skill set that I could solve so I started that journey man, and that was probably thirty six months ago and I haven’t looked back. It’s been videos every day.

It’s showing up on the plat I show up on the five major platforms for Facebook LinkedIn Instagram Twitter Youtube and I’m there every day every day showing up telling a story sharing an antidote. How am I you leveraging funnels? Why do I build photos way do I do? How do I attract the right client set? Why do I craft a message? How important is video been for me? How do I take one video and make 15 assets out of it to distribute to hit, you know ten to twelve thousand videos and scale.

It’s so pretty dude. That’s a story behind kind of where we are now, but I think you know one of the cool parts and because I have a lot of people always talk about this net is you know, what I’ll tell my story once I’m successful.

Yeah. I don’t want people see me where I’m at. Right now. I’m in the situation and you know, it’s not a very positive one. No one wants to see that and I think your vulnerability in really showing your journey is what is attracted so many people to you.

Yeah, because you’re so wrong and you’re so open there and I think I’ve seen this happen so many times as we talked to whether it’s agency owners or people get involved in e-comm or or physical part, whatever it might be is start documenting the journey now and as you document that Journey now you didn’t will actually have it for one later if you want to use it but more importantly it’s that ability to draw people to you and it’s again one of things I’ve Loved about just watching you and in your journey over the last few years is just seeing just how vulnerable you are.

But also you’ve never come across as well as me, you know pity party type of style. Well, let me it’s funny that you make that assessment Dave. There’s a couple of let me frame it like this. How many people do you know that when you call them or they call you any time you talk to them? It’s I’m so sick. I got a flat tire. I lost my job. All of us know somebody that’s like that.

It’s usually a family member. I like some weird and maybe it’s your mom and your grandmother every time you talk to me like jeez man, like is there anything ever good happening to you? I don’t know if that’s a mindset or something that were chemically built like but you know, one of the things that has been really interesting about the things I’ve gone through so science will tell you this at age 24.

Our bodies are hard mind is hardwired to kind of make decisions in our thought process is the way it’s going to be moving forward our judgments our decisions our emotions. All of these are kind of hardwired now at 24 based on our life experience, unless one of three things happens one.

Health how many people do you know that maybe got diagnosed with cancer and it completely changed their lives or everybody around them? I can just affects everybody to lost a job and went bankrupt like Finance money does like crazy things to people and then the third piece is relationships got a divorce or got what you have major break up all of those things one of those at a time will scramble you and help rewire you I had all three of those things happened to me twice in two years. So we have this major thing happen with the business.

I get diagnosed with Lyme disease. I had it for 12 months had no idea I had it and all of the things that happen when you don’t sleep for four or five days at a time because you can’t cause your body hurts. I got arthritis in my blood all these things like it really messes with your psyche and everybody around like I’m angry. I’m irritable I don’t have a relationship with my wife because I’m like, let me just make more money and then we can have a better relationship. I’ll get half a million dollars back and you’ll like me more and all of these things. I started happening and I documented the entire thing and I’ll tell you what was you know through that Journey.

I never complained like I had good days and bad days and all of it. I had two major things that shifted during all of this this just sharing. My honesty is I have a story and as I got through stuff somebody was getting ready to go into it and would say, oh my gosh, I’m starting this. I see you made it like give me some advice and I see your videos and I see that I can do that.

Nothing means more than having somebody to shoot you a quick note saying maybe you don’t know just randomly sending you a note saying man that one time you did this really made this difference to me. So selfishly when I do all of these things I do them, I do it because it makes me feel good like that selfishly. Why do it but the bigger reason is my kids will never know what life is like without the internet. They’re always going to have the internet. I don’t have that luxury of like there’s a time where you and I actually had to build all kinds of other skills Because the Internet wasn’t here and I can’t go back and find videos of my parents. I don’t have home movies. I got like photo albums, but I don’t have videos fourteen thousand pieces of content due to over 40,000 piece of content.

My kids can find me when I’m gone. Like I’m In for my legacy, so when my kid I’m gone my kids and my grandkids can go and find that one weird YouTube video. I did of me like reviewing records in some record shop in San Francisco in 2006 or 2004.

They can see that stuff like it. Look at my fat Granddad with a hat is New York at on looking like he’s all hip-hop like they can see that stuff right all the way up to the business stuff. So that’s why I’ve created as much content as I have but I haven’t I don’t I can’t tell you that. I was ever afraid of being honest in times you get into a character my friend Tommy Baker calls at vulnerability masturbation where you just talk about all the bad things that have always happened to you and you have to understand that when something bad happens. How do you leverage that to your advantage? And that’s your superpower to continue moving on.

So as you go, I’ve just been I’m honestly kind of shared all of that from the ups and the downs and what I realized in all of that is in creating all this content rebuilding if your listeners you got attracted to click photos for a reason and you traditionally that reason if I were to pull your users would Probably go down to the word Freedom.

You’re looking for some type of freedom freedom from the life. You live freedom from the life. You used to live freedom to the things you think you’re going to have because of the financial things you’re going to get through click funnels and the opportunities online when you look at all of those things. What happens is I was the epitome of grind, you know, 16 18 hour days and documented the whole thing.

Then you lose your money. You lose your house. You lose your health. You lose your relationships in your like why am I grinding its come if you’re not grinding with purpose if you’re not working for purpose.

It’s all in all it doesn’t matter. So, you know for me, I’ve just been very I’ve just shared that along the way of a good mentors and good people that have been around me that I’ve surrounded myself with that have kind of encourage that and people I look up to in the space that you know, I’ve just continued to lead that way. I love it. I think it kind of goes back to we’ve talked about this a lot, you know, and that is the importance of just publishing publishing on regular basis. And again daily.

I’m learning a ton from you right now as far as the importance of Storytelling you not talked about this we were in Phoenix. And really getting better and better at being vulnerable without it coming across as you know, what was what was me, but at the same time more importantly emotionally being able to connect with the people who you may be attracting to you and I think that for a lot of times it does give people hope and it’s your Built My you know, my wife had a heart attack at the age of 41 and she was really really hesitant to put it out there.

But she ended up documenting this her journey back and what had happened and ends up telling all these details and literally all of a sudden she’s getting people from around the world because I mean she was a world-class Marathon athlete, you know, 253 Marathon amazing shape and why is this happen to me to have a deal and sure there was the emotional part at first but I think more important that was she wanted to help other people understand that life’s not over I think especially as an entrepreneur ma’am.

I love that I can just only cuz I’ve been there I didn’t see the actual video of you filming in your house while you’re boxes behind you but having had those More types of experiences in my life where you know at times people see you and where you’re on your high notes and think oh this guy’s never you can’t relate to me can’t experience what I’ve gone. I’m like dude. I have been on the bottom.

Yep where you’re like how we can pay the bills and all that kind of stuff. But here’s what I think is really interesting too though. And I know you can appreciate this is I there’s some were wired wired just a little bit different. We’re like my wife we get into these discussions about well, we can’t we can’t we can’t and I say we can’t yet.

We can’t yet. Like what do yet means it’s open for like what is it going to take to get there? I can’t do right now, but I can get there. So we go through these interesting aspects of I’d never have thought I was going to be stuck where I was forever.

I always knew that there was something else. I just hadn’t gotten there yet. So when I get into these like, you know, one of the big pieces is and click photos was very instrumental for me due to the transition where one of the questions I get asked a lot. Is this Colby nobody quick ways for me to make money or easy ways to make money and you would I laugh about us all the time. I’m like, dude. Do you think if I knew the answer to that like I would do that I would do whatever it is, but I wouldn’t do this I would do that.

There’s not an easy way guys. So it’s like there’s not like, you know, if I click funnels, it’s like you it’s like sitting up a Gmail account. You don’t have a Gmail account. Also your bank accounts full. It’s like you do have to have something to sell like let me clear that up there. So I get asked that question a bunch like a bunch and I always leave funny smart remarks about it until I really started to notice like I’m getting asses Like 10 or 15 times a week again.

Where is there a problem the problems coming to me and it’s like okay. Let me really dive into this and I remember a time where I had to make a decision between diapers like formula and diapers which one’s more important I’d say formula formula diapers, like like that’s not a decision you should go in or is coming out. You gotta kick your ass. That’s you got like I gotta buy gas or groceries, which one’s more important. Well, I got to have gas to earn money to buy groceries. Like how do you decide right?

I have been there so many times whether it was growing up not having anything or becoming a single parent and then like handful customer daughter was one and it’s like I’ve been in that scenario then here I am all the way up here making half a million a year that it was like all the way down. It’s like again. I’m having to make this decision. Well, what did I do? What would I do? I use click funnels and built a course online that was specifically around what we call Arbitrage.

How do you buy stuff low and sell it high in demand by leveraging Amazon and eBay not rocket scientists. With books are a quarter apiece sell a bunch of those fake a couple bucks. My toys sell the toys scale and don’t sleep in his go go go go go the process and all of that. I leverage funnels to do that. But the story of that I share that story is like I got to make some pretty tough decisions.

So I get that there’s that interesting aspect of will share that because guess what I got through that and I’ve been saying this a lot lately is we each we have a voice it is your duty to share what you’re going through right now is you’re out you’re obligated to do that. You don’t do it. You are super selfish because you have light you date you have you have life experiences? I will never go through their stuff. I don’t know what it’s like to have a spousal went through a heart attack. And what did that do to you?

I haven’t like that it completely changes the family Dynamic you look death in the face and nothing will change that. Okay. So you have this story. I have this story your listeners have this thing that they all of us were humans man. We’ve all been through something crazy.

There’s somebody that hasn’t gone through it yet. And you’re alive right now like you’re here right now listening or watching you made it you made it through whatever it was. You made it through. Yes, you might be stuck in your own stuff right now and it might be bumpy but you made it this far.

So guess what? There is somebody who’s just going into that who just lost a job who just had a health issue who just like just whatever just whatever they’re like coming into his face. You’ve been through you got a recording share that journey and get it done. Just put it out every day every day every day.

Somebody’s going to find that and then when they find out they’re going to teach you a note and go that changed my life. That’s why I do it like that scale. That’s why I do as much as I do and I’ve been very blessed. I’m a very honored and I’m extremely humbled to have been able to do that at scale and I have a film studio and I do that for a living right?

So it’s a blessing. I love that and I hope that everyone is listening really understands the importance of documenting where you’re at. I will try to hit on that a couple times now right now, I’d like to dive in let’s talk about some of the tactics when I was in your office you white boarded.

This crazy way of taking one video and creating. I think it was 15 or 18 different assets out of one video the sir and I know those of you guys who aren’t watching this you want to watch it’s on phone hacker TV, but even listen to it, you’ll still understand what Colby’s talking about so-called. We kind of walk us through you taking this one video. What are you doing with it?

And how you making 15 assets out of it? Where is it? You’ve got and I’ll give you you have the link to that video. That’s I think that’s our internal Vimeo. I’ll give you our studio page that has that public that link you can link to this. So people can I get asked all the time you have the blueprint for it so I can actually see it. So I’ll give you that link so people can see it but it goes when you start to look at this the question, I like fourteen thousand pieces of content over 14,000 piece of content in 14 years.

It’s why do it is it just putting out content for the sake of putting out content the answer’s no it’s doing this. I’m come up with a formula or an equation. I’d like to share that I break down and I quantify it as quality content Plus.

A equals value. It’s an equation. So if I were to do quality content at the top plus consistency with the sea over value with the V and a question mark and I’ll see what that means. Dave is. I know through doing this much content across this many platforms. I don’t know a lot of people that have done as much as long and when you start to look at that you start to see some kind of continuity and what you’re doing and you start to see some patterns.

I know I need to show up every day across multiple platforms. I just know I have to have the consistency and I know the quality of the content has to be really good. I can’t this workshare BS on the time. It’s like I’ve got to be sharing really can’t just be what I ate for lunch. I’m going to be sharing parts of what’s happening and it’s got to be good.

I know if I do that every single day value is going to come well value a lot of people get you misunderstand the value for dollars and quantify that with a revenue objective.

Yes, there’s money associated with that. But if you’re doing it for the money you’re doing it you’re going to lose you won’t be here for 14 years and I can tell you that it’s quality content plus consistency. The value piece is Stop the manifest like this the opportunity to be on your show to talk to your awesome listeners the relationship have you come down to the studio of miles and have miles and I now start a relationship the opportunity to host an event for 400 people.

That’s entrepreneur. Magazine’s called it the top of it. You don’t know about that. You need to be about where 400 people coming. There’s no selling its like we just share tactics. It’s it allows me to continue to do those types of things then at the end of it. Yes. I’m making money but I don’t go into it with the revenue objective in mind I go into it with I got to produce quality content every single day every single day every single day knowing it that I’m going to get that opportunity.

It’s the classic garyvee scenario the jab jab jab right hook give give give then ask for that opportunity to exchange cash for services, which is the highest level of respect. Anybody can ever pay you is giving you a dollar for anything you give back like people paying her hard-earned cash for something you can give them back and return there’s no level of like respect hire outside of social currency relationships like this, right?

So as I France a lot of stuff to unpack, You look at all of that together the way that I do this. Okay, so I know I have to Quality content great. I know I have to be consistent great. Where do I show up? And how do I show up for me? I picked the big five the five platforms that are most applicable for me based on the content. I produce in my audience is LinkedIn Facebook YouTube Twitter and Instagram.

Okay. So in that it’s not about just creating content for the sake of creating content. You don’t create one video and slice. It’s all like just give it out to all the platforms. We consume content different on different platforms how I read a 240 character tweets are 280 character tweet versus I look at an Instagram Story versus long form on LinkedIn as a blog or even long form video on a Facebook post we go to these formats for different reasons to consume.

So how we show up needs to be kind of crafted in the formula and the recipe to that needs to be the finished good needs to fit the platform. So for me, I’ll go like Let’s get into some tactics right now. Let’s talk about the life experiences and the things that you’re doing to create some quality content right now. You’ve got a skill set.

You’ve got a talent. You’ve got something you’re very passionate about. What I challenge you to do is make a list of three things that you really just love doing that you’ve got some Talent subscale around a little bit of experience that you love doing. Is it accounting? Is it basketball is it arts and crafts is its phone?

Is it editing this video editing? Is it funnel building? What is it? What is it that you really good about you’re really passionate have some experience write those down as you start to write those down pick the one that screams to your mouse was the first one you wrote down. That’s probably the one you’re most passionate about and next column is the things that you’re writing down.

I want you to write down the three main components that make up that one thing. You’re most passionate about let’s say it’s shooting three-pointers in basketball.

What are the three things? I need to know to be the best three-point shooter. I need to know how to dribble. I need to know how to post up. I need to know the arc. Okay. Great in like whatever it is, whatever the three things you need to do to like that you have to do to actually hit that goal or that thing you really like to do, right? Whatever your talent or skill is. What are the three things that make that really good and attainable inside of those three things. I want you to write them down and I want you to pick up your phone.

This is not a produced video experiment. I don’t need a studio just pick up your phone any phone and I want you to pick your first topic and I want you to tell me step by step what I need to do in a video to do that. First thing. Let’s stay with the basketball analogy to dribble.

What are the things? I need to know about dribbling. Well, what do I get a ball? What type of shoes do I need what’s better asphalt or artificial turf? I don’t know whatever. This thing’s are the first step very very basic and I’m going to film a video that’s five to seven minutes long of me telling you in that first step everything.

You need to know about fundamental one of the skill set that you’re very most passionate about you’re going to do that for the second video. That’s a the second one is I don’t know what I said understanding the Her passing. Okay, one of the things I need to know around this other fundamental and then the third thing what are the things I need to know about shooting one of the most important aspects around shooting its Arc and how inflated is the ball how far am i back from the from the line all of those things?

So you’ve got something you’re really passionate about three things that you could teach somebody about what you’re most passionate about and we’re going to film three five to seven minute videos you with me got it. Okay. So we’ve got that now what we do is we take those videos.

I think those videos I go to a website called rev.com rev1980 calm.

The first thing I do is I take the video I sent it over to rev.com you send them a link. You can either upload it to box or Google drive or load it on YouTube send that link out. They will transcribe that into text. So word for word what you said, they’ll send that back to you. It’s about 95 percent right? It’s a dollar a minute it’s worth it. So you’re looking at 6 12 18 20 bucks all in to get your Word documents for your funnel hackers that your Your lead magnets, so you’ve got now you’ve got the long form. Okay. So now I’ve got seven or I’ve got three videos. I’ve got my long form content back the written word.

Now, what do I do? Inherently? I’ve said some really cool stuff inside of my my three videos. I have quotes that come to mind. If you’ve been on Instagram, of course, you you know, the inspirational quote with the words on it the guy in the mountain, you know, it’s the best day of be the best version of you.

They with his shirt off on a mountain trail. I definitely need yeah. That’s what’s on my back to my screen saver on my phone. I’m glad so what we’re doing now is I’ve got the five the three videos five minutes. I’ve got long form inside of that. I want to make a list of let’s say 10 3 you tradition you can get three to five good quotes per each video. If you’ve said something that was stirring three to five quotes per video because now you have the long form text you can kind of manipulate it you can go to a free app called either word swag or over there both.

Available on your iPhone or on your Android device word swag or over and you can now download a video or download an image from Google pop of it pop an image on and now you start to make your quote cards. Okay. So now I’m looking at I’ve got three videos.

I’ve got long form text. I’ve got three of those now I’ve got let’s say 3 times 3, that’s 3 6 9 I’ve got nine to ten little quote cards. I can use for Instagram. I also leverage those on Twitter.

As you do your videos when you go to rev you can also have them split the audio out or in if you’ve got actually don’t go to register your audio. If you’re on Mac go to iMovie upload your video right? Click on the video. When you open up a new project split the audio out delete the video and save it as an MP3 file that gives you the audio version of what you just did you can do that in audacity, which is a PC program load the video. It will see the video as an audio form say that as an MP3.

So now I’ve got audio versions of whatever I said, I’ve got the videos I can also if you really want to start to do some video editing you can go on to either of those programs.

I’m sure there’s a better free PC one. I don’t use PC, but if somebody wants to comment on what you use for pc video editing it’s easy for me. I movie comes standard with my Mac. I pop in those videos and I’ll chop a one five to seven-minute video into three or two one minute sections of highlights of the education.

So now I can take On video and make two three videos.

I’ve got the long form. Now. I’ve got these little video vignettes as you can see that one piece of video content now starts to become a tree of content, right?

So now I can go into a free tool like Sprout social. I can go into a to Sprouts not free. That’s kind of an Enterprise program. HootSuite is free. I can go into HootSuite and I can start to put in these new assets that I’m building as you’ve got your audio. So for me, I’ve been doing podcasting at started pot doing podcasts 2014.

I was heavy into them. I took a step back and came back in two thousand sixteen Seventeen eighteen to where I can go to fiver if I ve RFI berr, I think is it to our fiber and you can go in and spend $20 and have somebody make you a killer intro and an outro for your podcast based on whatever it is you want to talk about now, you’ve got all the audio bites to worry. All you need to do is pop into one of those free programs whether it’s iMovie to do your audio. Thing or into audacity pop in your intro your outro. Now, you got your audio clip save that and go to an account like SoundCloud set up a Soundcloud account.

You think it’s free up to a certain amount start loading your audio clips there. Now, you’ve got podcasting audio bytes to where we went way this way with video. I should do so many videos and then what I found out was I like not everybody consumes on video. We made this other big swing back to audio and we’re doing a bunch of stuff and being home audio to like with Alexa, which is really cool. But we’re like I’m going way back into audio to wear everything I do on video I slice into audio whether it’s like this stuff the I will repurpose this in audience say comes to the funnel hackers and put it out on my network.

It’s every bit of audio content now becomes important so that one five to seven-minute video now, we’ve got three of them. Now those have scaled the eight or nine now, I’ve got eight or nine videos. I’ve got eight or nine audio pieces. I’ve got long form content to become blog posts on my website.

They become long form content on my LinkedIn page. They become a long Content on Facebook and then those little video vignettes. I’ll put on Facebook.

I’ll put on Instagram and I’ll put those on Twitter and the Instagram quotes those motivational quotes. Sometimes I’ll put those on Facebook if I want to otherwise I can put those in they can accompany a blog post where my long-form blog now has a couple quotes and some assets and a link to my audio. I can put all that they’re my email newsletter.

That’s the content for the week. I got the long form content. That’s why I’m sending out to my prospects. I got her my people that are part of my tribe as you can see it starts to really scale.

When I create one five minute video about something I’m super passionate about and you do it one day and again and again and again and every single day that you can you’re creating content and distributing content.

HootSuite will allow you to put all your content there and then schedule it out. So you’re not just doing this all day natively because it becomes way overwhelming and then there are you know, if you get social media 102 or 200 200 200 there are some benefits. Posting natively you do want to you know with Facebook specifically you don’t want to be posting from third party. But the question is now you have the content now, would you want to go do with that? Because the biggest piece has been well, how do I get content? I don’t have enough content, but I’m content the three biggest challenges. I hear every single day when I talk about what we do with video is yeah.

I’ve done four thousand videos in 36 months four thousand videos dude four thousand videos like, oh my gosh, that’s a lot of his hands a lot of videos. So it’s how do I do that? How do I how do I get over my fear doing video? You just do videos like well, there’s not gonna be a what if there’s not an audience who cares who cares. I don’t care about an audience. That’s not an audience yet. You haven’t found them. You still got to do it and then it’s what if I get rejected well screw them who cares you’re not doing it for them anytime you start down a journey of talking about what Dave and I are diving into today. You’re gonna have a couple things happen.

Have you ever joined a gym and like you’re espousing go with you? Because action has been the opposite my wife would join the gym and I wouldn’t go with her does it does it cost function of corner? Like good. Come on, Alex your eating while you’re working out. You’re looking great. I’m not going because I make excuses solutely. I’ve been there multiple times.

It’s the same thing with this what’s going to happen is people around you traditionally people that are closest to you need to bring them cause you’re going to say listen. I’m going to build my own personal brand if you’re at a company, it doesn’t matter because you’re going to be disposed of at some point. You’re going to quit or change the stuff lives forever. I’ve had 15 jobs in 20 years dude, like I don’t care this content lives and then it’s my brand. I sell me. I don’t sell the company. I saw my my skill sets and I’ve got a library a few things to share.

So what happens is processes people are going to ask for size. You are going to laugh at you. They’re going to make fun of you and they’re going to say hey like why are you doing this?

The people that you love the most you need to bring them along for the ride, like if your wife or your spouse and your husband and your girlfriend your kids matter, tell them what you’re doing.

Have them come with you. Don’t just do it out of selfishness. Bring them with you don’t have them as an afterthought. I’ve done both. I promise you should bring them with you. It works way better. Oh, I’m still says you put out so much content. I’m like, I don’t care. You’re not my audience. But at least you know what I’m doing.

It’s like bring your bring bring your family with you. What happens immediately is those closest to you are going to bang on you and tell you what are you doing? Then they’re going to get angry and people going to start like actually like giving you negative things. They’re going to come at haters are going to come out whether you know them or they aren’t and then what’s going to happen is something completely beautiful as your Social Circle completely change and the people you’ve been hanging out with for 15 years there like every time you talk to him, they’re sick or they got a negative thing happening is they start to go out over here and then all of a sudden all these new people who you don’t know yet that have been waiting to hear your voice coming to your circle.

So we’re now your feeds change your emails change. Your phone’s to your people you hang out with it all changes that takes time and takes about six to nine months, but that that happens every single time and it’s beautiful because now A space of giving to a community that wants to hear what you have to say Obviously some about funnels manner. Where was I going? I can’t remember what’s going on. This is a good funnel thing right there.

Do I love it? Honestly, I mean as I mentioned when we first started this this is a guy who literally drops bombs left and right massive content. You been doing fourteen thousand pieces plus again, I would really hope I’ve kind of taken your challenge far as publishing every single day. I’ve been I’m on a minimum of a 90 day every day Facebook Lite at least once a day and it’s been interesting. I’m starting to get a little bit better at telling my own stories.

I still struggle. I’m not as good as you I mean you’ve been doing this thing for centuries, it seems like but you’re not that old you still are handsome and all that. I’m also Super Bowl but no, I mean the cool part about it though. Honestly is you do you start to see who’s responding to you and what’s important to your listeners and it’s been a really cool Dynamic that I’m starting to see so I would highly recommend wherever you are start documenting start publishing publish publish publish publish. I can tell you it is The number one thing I’ve seen is with the people who I knew in our space Colby 10 years ago who no longer published. They become totally irrelevant.

Nobody even knows their names. Okay, and yet at the same time those people who are leading in our industry. It’s because they’ve been publishing and what there’s this magic thing that happens in your mind and your you just start to process things better you get better at communicating you get better at explaining things get better at telling stories you attract more people to you. I mean, it’s it’s like anything else kind of what you’re talking about. You know what at first you’re just gonna suck. Yes, you know, it’s who cares you’re just gonna suck. But do you aren’t you are going to suck? I mean, it’s just it happens because here’s what happens is you click on you get on the video and immediately what you think is going to happen is you think a thousand a hundred million people are going to turn on and you’re like really it’s probably you know, your mom your spouse like nobody’s really cares. Nobody really got to watch anyway, so it’s you just got to get them done and doing them over.

Over and I would challenge you if like I chose your listeners to do this where if you haven’t done a lot of videos just do one a day for seven days and then at the end of seven days to 14 days and then at the end of 14 days to 30 days at the end of 30 days to 60 days and then you just kind of you start to get into a rhythm where that’s where stuff starts to take off as a run at 60 90 day period right.

I love it. You’re clipping it. You’re flipping it the guys. There’s two things. I wanted to tell you dude around funnels. Oh the thing for me is this to like I don’t have a ton of followers. I give you going all of my platforms.

I’ve got I think 40,000 maybe 50,000 followers total. It’s not that me. But the dialogue is huge. I’ll put up a video maybe it gets 500 views. I’ll have 200 comments.

It’s crazy that to me is important that means when I’m sharing is valuable. That means that people are relating. So I what I wouldn’t want to do is you like some video that got 10 million views in like a hundred Knuckleheads just like insulting me. I would rather do a video that had 10 views and had 30 comments of people that were engaging in the process because again, it’s a quality content right now. I want to put out good quality content that people relate to I love it those you get kind of close to wrapping up. I want to talk a little bit about meltdown in the desert damn it.

So it’s we’re honored to have you guys there. You know, we had we had you there for the first one it was right when I got introduced to funnels and you guys were like gracious enough to grandfather me into the funnel Community, which was really close before we move to the new platform, right? It was right at the transition and it allowed me to do some really really cool things around our event. So it was that was my first introduction. It was a game changer for me. So The event came out of some time. I spent with Gary vaynerchuk in London my buddy, Dan Meredith didn’t event called out of this place called your call the oldest boxing arena in London where it was Gary and then a bunch of marketers and I spent 10 years in the music business booking acts for like outcasts Ludacris The Roots done events from 200 people to 20,000 people and I thought we could do this like this could be a thing if we did like social media as a whole let’s take people I know in social media that have a following but it built a business leveraging social media all of them in different Industries.

So I literally sat in the hotel room one of the guys there my buddy Sean Whalen was there I said, hey Sean, what do you think? I got an idea? I had a lady that was in she was doing real estate and it was a multimillion-dollar homes in Scottsdale had a huge Snapchat following and then another guy that was in the fitness world who had a huge who’s building this huge following using videos and I thought why don’t we just because all of us do I’m a business guy like, I mean, I just love corporate. So I’m doing like how do you build Brands and sales teams processes and take ideas and build business on them in each one of us had a different skill set.

That’s where it started and the the market just really really responded because it’s out of Sales Event. We don’t sell anything from stage and that’s not a sales tactic. We don’t sell anything. So it’s literally what happens is I have the speakers come in and we talked about very much how you heard my story. Imagine taking somebody you really really look up to imagine if like we had we had Russell Russell.

I want you to talk to me about the time when you were doing the potato funnel before and your wife was working and you were a student and like I want to tell me about this money thing. Like how did that feel when you know, your wife was making the money and you were trying to figure this out. What was that like where you get money out of the flight. Did you borrow money? Like what were you eating them? How did that feel you’ll see Russell completely change.

So take somebody you really love and respect and honor and put them in a room and say tell me about that time that everything just sucked. How did you get through it? It’s not a wooooww is me. Like, let me talk about my pain, but it gets to be very Interesting when you hear people that you know how they overcame it and then we tell you how like the specifics around it.

So we did year one year two was just a beast. We had close to 500 400 450 people there your 1/200 doubled last year and entrepreneur Magazine’s our core sponsor got Entrepreneur magazine. We had Entrepreneur magazine Microsoft we had about five little over 500 people. We had one point. I think three million impressions on the hashtag in two days and it’s every it’s all kinds of industries from health and wellness to Fitness to funnel Builders to marketers to business owners to Executives.

Everybody comes in a room for two to three days and we kind of see it like this I get if you were to think Gary vaynerchuk and Tony Robbins and put them in a blender and pour that into a glass.

That’s what you get and I tell people here’s how I tell people on the outside what it is. It’s a conference for entrepreneurs social media marketers the people that are interested in building business.

That’s not what it really what it is like once I get you in and shut the door if I got you because people come because they think you’re gonna learn all this business stuff and what they realize is. Wow.

There’s a whole lot more I should learn before I go there and then I believe just dump the tactics on them. Like here’s exactly how you go do it. So it allows for some really interesting conversations man.

It’s it’s one of those things where a hundred percent of the proceeds go back to charity this year. We’ve chosen a company by the name of a tomahawk charitable Solutions. There’s some people we met on a big motorcycle ride from Dallas to Phoenix.

They specialize in supporting fallen soldiers and Special Forces men and women or First Responders and police officers in region, and they just do amazing things man. So we’re doing the any of the money we get from our partners covers the cost of the expenses of the evenyou and then the ticket sales and stuff that we get after we cover costs in our pair of volunteers.

We give money back. So it’s cool man. We’ve got Dan Clark and co-founder of Chicken Soup for the Soul and then we’ve got Sharon lechter who was the CEO for Rich, Dad Poor Dad.

He also has taken over the Napoleon Hill Foundation stuff for the Think and Grow Rich those two together of sold over 300 million books worldwide.

Sharon’s the number one for most leader in financial literacy. And then those are the only two traditional speakers everybody else our social media influencers. So we’ve got some heavy hitter who want to get it how I mean obviously as the anyways listen to just heard a ton of massive content from you and dropping as I told you guys a ton of I hope you guys made a massive amount of notes. They’re going to be there speaking and giving out information.

We’re going to film screening Friday night about a documentary about a guy who pulled over two dozen people out of the Howard during 9/11 with the producer and the director of that film Saturday’s the event and I can’t say all the things about it, but it’s we don’t print the agenda. So it’s one of those you just have to come to see who’s going to be one and what we’re doing.

We’re doing a legacy Showcase of people that have built a multi-million dollar businesses on social media how they did it why they did it where they’re doing it how you can do it.

Sunday’s a workshop half-day Workshop where we get into the tactics. I do what we called what we talked about today. I called digital distribution.

So I do that for about an hour and a half and a huge wide for and we’ll just answer questions live and then I’m doing a whole thing on video. Like, how do you get over your fear doing video? And we’re going to do video live in those workshops with people on their phones to help tell their stories filled their value proposition their value statements and stuff you use on social websites and your funnels. Welcome back to Footlocker radio. You guys are in for a ride of your life today. This is gonna be so much fun. I’m so excited and try to get calling on the show for a while call is a guy basically is ex-military been a soldier.

He’s extra our benefit this model more importantly. He’s an amazing dad husband father. He’s got two kids and he’s running a 30 million dollar company on step. Well, thanks. Well, let’s just kind of Dive Right into this here consult.

People about what it is. What is Red Line steal what you guys really do?

So first of all stops, I have to say, I’m sorry, he’s gonna tell you what he does. This here is what it is. This is one of my favorite pieces just got this in the mail from him. So yes, so you have the one I think it’s like an 18 inch or 24 inch. I’ve got an eight foot flag.

You can kind of see oh cool. It’s pretty crazy. But so we started this company Redline steal back in 2016 and it started as a consultant. So a lot of you know, a lot of synergies, you know, I’m part of your ClickFunnels™ groups and there’s a lot of people that are just trying to find their place, you know that they enjoy helping other people, but they don’t really know exactly what vertical that they want to be in and so I started this whole company based on Consulting.

I was at the gym working out with a good friend of mine Colonel melee. And he had a piece of Steel piece done. It was just baseball and he was swinging the bat just like this and you can see his son’s name engraved in it. And you know, my son Carson, he loves baseball and so Mark Neely he showed me that piece and said man, you got to get this for your for your son.

And so I reached out to that company and he said, you know, I could do it for you, but it’s going to be about 12 to 14 weeks.

And I said, okay, you know, that’s yeah at that point I kind of just was like, all right, whatever. That’s that’s cool.

And he said I’ll reach out whenever I you know, get caught up a little bit more right and so I just said okay, no problem at that point about five minutes went down the road and he reached back out and said, holy shit. It’s Colin Wayne. I didn’t realize it was you.

So I’ve for those of you who don’t know me. I’ve had some success from Fitness modeling.

He’s being super super humble here. So let’s talk about what your real success is your calling.

Yeah, so just a short brief history prior military served almost seven years made Staff Sergeant at at 23 years old. So I was only six years in from there. I got injured in Afghanistan on my third tour. So I went to Egypt and 2008.

I went to Iraq in 2009 2010 and then Afghanistan in 2012. I got injured and ironically in the gym, so I got blown up. I was in the pack Tikka province, which is right on the Pakistan border.

And there’s so you could think of our it was almost like a horseshoe of mountains. So think about mountains all the way around you and we’re at the base of it. And so what would happen is on a date and this happened all the time. I was at a very very small base. We had to about two platoons. So about 85 people there.

And we were getting rocketed and this was very consistent. So we were kind of used to that but there’s precautionary measures of this this happens, you take cover and like some type of Bunker while I was working out at the gym and the IDF alarm Sirens started going off you can hear it.

And you know, I was already in a concrete shell because the walls itself was concrete but the roof had it was just would write and sheet rock or whatever the wood paneling is and anyways, the 107 millimeter rocket team in from the Pakistan side impacted about three and a half feet from it and through the grace of God man. I’m still here. So I got I got some injuries that I sustained from there.

I got shrapnel to both arms. I got I got I got blacked out because the concussion of the blast was so heavy my head hit a couple of plates like because I was Jump very very small jump is like the size of my office and then I had shrapnel that went all the way through my legs. So I’ve got like a two-inch exit wound. That’s is it just tore all the way through there.

I got medevacked to a base really close to their it’s called organy Spa Bowie and I was there for about 14 15 hours my oxygen level started to dwindle and go down so they were concerned that I had internal bleeding and they couldn’t figure out why this was such a small base that they didn’t have all of the equipment that a traditional like emergency room would have right they have they just yeah, I mean, it’s Bare Basics.

They called almost like a TMC like a treatment Medical Center.

So at that point they were very concerned because even with oxygen I was in the low 90s, so they critically rushed me to a big base called Bagram, which is about two hours away, I believe and State about five days at that hospital and they addressed a few things come to find out they gave me too much morphine.

And so that ended up restricting my blood flow and so that depleted my oxygen. So that’s that’s what ended up happening man. So I went back home and did about six months of physical therapy.

And then at that point I transition out of the military still trying to find my way. I didn’t know exactly what that was and I’m from Alabama, right? So I’m not from like a massive big city like New York City or LA or Hollywood or anything like that, but I started a shot with the local photographer because all throughout like high school and like I always told that you should you should try modeling and I didn’t know why and I like what am I going to do an Alabama? You know, like what can I do here?

There’s only so much you can do and what I did I shot with the local photographer and it was at a gym because I was into fitness and I Took those photos uploaded it made a Facebook page and within 30 days. I had over a hundred thousand followers.

And so this was a really really critical time. This was back in 2013.

And so this was right before Facebook started to charge for advertisements 2012-13 timeframe.

And so there were algorithms there were none, right? So it was it was it was a snowball effect. So if you got 200 followers and you posted a picture and everybody like that now everybody that like commented or shared it continued grew and so we created a monster really really quick, but I was able to utilize those platforms because within six months I had over half a million followers and so we just kept growing and growing it. I didn’t really know what I was doing. Right but I started figuring it out and started transitioning to Instagram and Twitter and cross-promoting and started collaborating with different social influencers.

And then I started making my way into the fitness side, but Utilizing my own platforms as a leverage tool to acquire whatever that I wanted. So whether that was whether that’s you know by getting shoes sent to me like I’ve got some $1,100 custom Jordans that are awesome. I wanted them to the cinema tonight. I gotta like Prada glasses that they just send me this is right.

So but I did the same thing with magazine covers. So I without a PR firm without an agency.

I direct approached different Publications in I leveraged myself because I set my value at this and so I basically put myself in the in their shoes. Why do they want to work with me? There’s only 12 covers in a year how difficult can it be to work with Men’s Health men’s fitness and you’re competing against thousands of people and I had no clue, you know anybody on the inside which sets a big play in it, but I was able to obtain over 50 magazine covers within about three and a half years.

It’s just off of this direct approach and so, you know any advice that I can give to Anyone out there whether you want to be a model or not. It doesn’t matter you could take this and run with it in any direction direct approach anything that you want in life. It doesn’t matter what that is customers are not going to come to you. If you’re trying to sell a service what offsets you from everyone else provide value at such a high level that know that there’s no reason why they would want to work with anyone else.

And so I did that same thing and that was a service provided. I would take things a step further instead of Publications giving me a talent fee right to traditionally we would get paid as the model.

I would let them know keep your money. I don’t want your money. I want to work with you. I want to build a rapport.

You know what I want to work with you for years to come I would take things even further and say look if the photographer wants to charge you a license fee. I’ll cover that.

So I knit Burton lie, I would take because I know that credibility is so massive when you can put that under your belt and say no no, Just in the magazine, but on the cover of men’s health means that in this Iron Man muscle and fitness.

It’s a statement. And now when you’re trying to acquire contracts and I was able to acquire six-figure contracts like it was nothing so it worked out great.

That is so cool. So now all of a sudden you’ve got this the steel piece of artwork that you want. It’s going to be 12 to 14 weeks. The guy calls back to his holy cow.

Its called Wayne know what happens next. So he’s he says I can do it for you this week. And so somehow he made a schedule work right now.

We ended the conversation by saying he said I’d love to be at your level one day because at this point I’d already had some success because you got to think I started this company in 2016.

So this was late 15 got out of the army and 2012, I believe so I’d already Had a little bit of time to build myself a name, right? And so I started doing some Consulting with them because I knew like look this is an awesome product.

There’s obviously some Supply Chain management issues 12 to 14 weeks. You didn’t give me like any how could I how could you reach back out to me by let’s say I was a real customer, you know then and you said look I’m going to reach back out and whenever I get caught back up, but I didn’t fill out a form. I didn’t submit anything.

There’s nothing from a retargeting standpoint that was going to find new there were some missing steps in so I brought them in and we started talking over the past about three months and I made him an offer I said, you know, I really like what you’re doing.

You’re really good at the micro things like with your hands. I’m not this is a plus screwdriver like at all. My mom primarily raised me. I was in a sweat home in tools is just basic tool mileages it that’s But I wanted to focus on a company that basically Cuts things out of steel and makes beautiful pieces of art work out of steel and you have no handyman skills.

That’s 100% accurate. Yeah, but it didn’t it didn’t scare me. I’ll still going to do it nothing to do awesome at it because I believe anything that I touch I’m gonna give it a hundred percent. You can’t go wrong with that. So I made him an offer. I said, I want 51% of your company and before y’all pass any judgment hear me out.

I’m the type of guy that if I’m going to get involved I said, I’m going to give you a hundred percent, right? So that means that everything else is on the back burner. I’m going to make sure that my focus is going to this now.

My focus can only be too certain things at that level if I can put my finger on it and say this is the final decision. This is what it’s going to be. So it had nothing to do with the revenue share side of it but more of a controlling standpoint because if I’m going to get behind it, it’s got to be the final say and so that’s that’s probably what I Then but I made a strict term I said I’m going to do 6 times revenue of what you did your path are this past year and if I don’t I’ll give you back your company 100% So I’ll do what I want to make sure you guys get approaching this guy you’re asking for 51 percent of his company with a guarantee that you six times his annual revenue in the next 12 months or you get this company back and you walk away.

Correct a hundred percent. Dan on top of that I said I’ll Finance all of the equipment needed to scale and I’ll do it at no interests. So just no interest at all, but I’ll only asset right so that I can amortize it and do a fast track amortization and if we if it required a larger space because they already had a facility I said I’ll finance that entire piece and sell findings.

So I’ll take I’ll be the been right that’s not an issue. My thought was if this isn’t where I want it to be in 12 months because I’m going to know it’s going to take a few months to gain some momentum just like anything else but I don’t want to be a part of something. I’m willing to just give it up because I I know what I can bring to the table and if I can’t get there then there’s no point in continuing to a lot my time because I value my time that much more so then at the same time, I’m a firm believer that you put your money where your mouth is by contributing so much from a value perspective that it’s a no-brainer and so at that point.

He said hell, yes, and who doesn’t want to grow 600 pounds and I was an exact quote and the day we were supposed to sign you back something you’re kidding. No, he backed out. He said you tried to he tried to renegotiate and I’m one of those guys that it’s I already felt like I’m giving him more than what I should have. Even though this was a pre-existing four year old company at that time.

I just knew what I could bring to the table. And so yeah, he he backed out and that changed the dynamic of everything right because I don’t I don’t know tools. I don’t know. I didn’t even know how to set this stuff up. I didn’t know you know, I knew some basic stuff as we started from the Consulting standpoint. I wanted to see his Supply Chain management just to see what issues we could addressed but primarily I was focused on the Mac for the bigger picture of the marketing and sales and driving Revenue into the larger picture of things. He was going to focus on the design side the cutting the manufacturing powder coating that the grind and so that in an instant Shifted but I’ll tell you that the very next day.

I went and bought my first CNC machine had no clue where I was going to put it. This is like three phase. This isn’t a hundred and ten. This isn’t a 110 outlet. You can just plug into your garage like you need that air compressor. You need a screw compressor.

We’ve got to have a dryer you’ve got to have you know, there’s a lot of stuff that goes into this and but I had no clue at that point, but I went and bought one and I didn’t have a building to put it in but I knew I had about four weeks for the manufacturer to have that machine ready.

And so I put that was my deadlines. I said, this is my cap. I’m going to find a building and I want to make sure that it’s going to fit the needs of me scaling and I also knew going into it that I wanted to sign a short-term lease so I can litigate that risk that liability and also because I know that if I touch it it’s got potential and so I didn’t want to be locked into a building for Five-year term 10-year term if I know I’m going to scale and so I did just that I found a building about probably less than a week. I found a building secured it put a deposit down and went ahead and move forward with that.

They delivered the building the first month. I would say I was just trying to figure out how to turn the thing on like that was the biggest challenge of this entire company was the first publicly and that was in January of 2016.

So I didn’t launch my website until June of 2016. So really when you look at us as an e-commerce platform and that’s 99 percent of our revenues been through their e-comm.

We’re less than a two year old company. We’re about 20 21 months 21 months and doing 30 million. Is that correct?Yes, that’s ready million to 21 months all out of steel artwork.100% And it’s all made right here at our shop in Huntsville, Alabama and I just saw the new shop.

How long does this new shop so, you know, so I’m going to take you back we scaled from building was 5,000 square feet. We scaled into 10,000 square feet, which was a building right next to it. And that was that was in a matter of about six months.

We were there at that building right out of here. So from January when I signed the lease of 2016 2 December so is 11 and a half months. I signed it the least we’re in right now, which is 50,000 square feet.

That’s 5 0 not 1 5 0 no, no 50,000.

So and now I just signed a lease purchase option for fourteen point seven acres and a hundred and ten thousand square feet so that congratulations.

I mean come on, that’s crazy cool stuff. So tell me how The world I mean, so you’ve gone from 5,000 now to over a hundred thousand square feet in less than two years.

And this is like physical stuff. Everyone always says well click photos. You can only sell information products you’re selling 30 million dollars by the way, your part of our our eight-figure 10x club and I need to get you a new ring.

So so we’ll talk about that later. But in the meantime tell people, how are you using click funnels? And what do you do? I mean that’s crazy stuff. You got shipping involved that you’re a full it’s not like you’re out there doing an Arbitrage thing where you’re buying products low and selling high. You’re actually manufacturing the products. We’re doing all of that. So L. People are saying how that works. Yeah, so I’ll walk you through from from a marketing standpoint. Just so people can kind of connect on like how we’re making ClickFunnels™ work with our Shopify website.

So we run everything on Shopify.

What I’ll do is I’ll come up with specific products. So say it’s Christmas time and I want to sell this. I think ornament right we’re going to sell a ten-pack of this for $20. Whatever. What I’ll do is I’ll build the specific landing page didn’t click finals in I’ll you know, I’ll make sense of urgency. All right. Now, I’ve got I want people to fill a psychological connection.

I want them to know that my personal goal and I’m really putting myself out. There is the individual or the face behind the brand that my goal is to have to be in over a million homes by the end of the year. And so a lot of my funnels what I’ll do is first time customer acquisition. So my Prospect marketing right Prospect marketing is your first time customers and we’re trying to convert them to have a high LTV.

And so what I’ll do is a low-cost item so say anywhere from $10 in below then I’ll build a landing page. And so 100% of our Prospect marketing is done through ClickFunnels™.

I’ll build a landing page and get several different options for different color variants.

Same product different color variants.

We call that a fishbowl strategy. So we only want them to go to the product and see just exactly what they saw on Facebook. So if they saw a Facebook advertisement for this particular piece, I know that there are obviously intended or interested in that piece or they wouldn’t have clicked at that point. You know, I’ll what I do in ClickFunnels™ past that point is I’ll take the iframe and I’ll embed it to my website because what I want to do is have that pixel in place for my re targeting strategies.

Perfect. Also, do I’ve got opt-ins exit strategies and other things in place for now my Shopify website that wouldn’t be if I were to have them on a specific landing page.

We’re going to work on that by the way, we’ll get you over to click final soon, but we’ll talk about that later. Okay, awesome and what yeah, I’d love that because transaction fees are eating me alive Shopify Pros. It’s about a joke. So but it’s it’s good man.

So we use ClickFunnels™ a hundred percent for our Prospect marketing. So what were able to do is turn about a low-cost item with the perceived value a two to three times what that cost is so that’s the sense of urgency or the impulse to buy because it’s such a great deal and what I’ll do at that point is once they convert You post purchase upsells downsells, which is taking, you know anywhere from 5 to $10 item because I’m going to take a loss at that point. Once you factor in my shipping cost my marketing attribution cost the cost of the actual item itself in the labor and the fixed everything here. I’m losing right and I’m fine with that because I understand that old TV.

Then I know that my products are so awesome in the quality behind it. Once you receive it you’re going to want to buy something else. And so I just trust the system. I trust the process and you know, I use that to my to my best interest because I know that they’re going to come back for the most part and we’re such a new company. It’s hard to pinpoint what our LCD is but it’s no I can tell you right now. We’re almost 40% on repeat customers, which is crazy.

Yeah, especially in this type of mean. It’s an Impulse buy it first. You’re taking an Impulse buy from Facebook into a 40% recurring customer. I mean that’s calling Gratulations, that’s huge.

Thanks. So, how are you nurturing that relationship with them? So what we’ll do a lot of different re targeting strategies, but I’ll do a lot of segmentations.

So about 38% of my revenues actually drive from segmentation email marketing and so I’ll do so one of my highest converting funnels right now is I’m doing a free plus shipping product. And so I built this in Click funnels.

And so what I did was I made it where the customer has to enter their email address to get a specific link for them to get this item a redeeming now whether they redeem it and actually get the product or not. It doesn’t matter because at that point I already won because when I got there pixel to I’ve got their email address.

So as long as you have a good retargeting strategy, you could always look at it as an active strategy you’re winning no matter what every day as long as you’re collecting that data and you know what to do with it.

Um, but I’ll do we have a several different pieces will do this free plus shipping and it’s worked out tremendously because we’re we’re able to collect about a thousand to fifteen hundred emails a day just through this method. So that’s a huge list you deliver getting massive 400 we have over half a million now, so so are you sending I mean typically calm people are going to then send them a catalog and I like to pick through it is so far from your segmentation. Are you finding those people who like certain things and then you’re guiding them down specifically to certain products or recommendation wise or how you doing that great question.

So what I’ll do is since we manufacture everything it’s makes it extremely easy. So we’ll subcategorize it so, you know what we’ll have like a religious line. And so we know that if somebody bought this God is good piece. They’re going to be interested in other religious quotes or Jesus cross or whatever, you know with our distress battle Flags. We know that if someone purchase This for added to their car to view content. We’re going to show them other things within that like this. So we’ll do different retargeting strategies from email all the way into Facebook and Instagram as well as Dynamic Google retargeting and then Shopping Network for display, but won’t will do all of that. And so I want to also say up until April the 2nd every dollar that came into this company. I did myself. I’m the only marketing and sales rep.

So I’ve got almost so we’re talking a 33 0 30 million dollar company all built by you as the sales guy correct up until this month. I hired a firm out in California to help me scale because I don’t want to focus on the supply chain if my constant my attention is constant on one Dynamic. I can’t focus on the big picture but like it’s this is my passion. I love marketing and sales like I love getting in front of the camera and talking about Whatever it is that I’m trying to sell. It doesn’t matter if it’s socks or underwear or t-shirt or you know a steel piece. I’m going to sell it and I enjoy that side. So I’m still the one doing the videos and add content but they’re doing the the, you know, the monitoring the inclusions exclusions and all of that. So fantastic.

It’s work extremely. Well.

Yeah, I would say so it seems to be doing real well congratulations any other tips or suggestions you want to give to our listeners anything as far as entrepreneurship or even funnels or anything else?

Yeah. So I guess my biggest thing that I would as a takeaway is guys make sure that you have a great retargeting strategy and try to automate that as much as possible.

So when you talk about, you know actively getting somebody to your website or to a funnel, what are you going to do once they’re there if they don’t convert industry standards 2% on conversion rates. What can we do to proactively once they’re there increases conversion rates even higher?

And did the people that drop-offs let’s say the other 98% What are we doing to retarget them on the back end. So make sure that you have those three things locked in place. And if you can have those three things you cannot lose. I promise you active reactive proactive.

You’re going to win every day. I promise and it’s also consistency is so so big, you know, if so This Is My Philosophy 30% Market add smin for customer acquisition and that includes Prospect market so across the board and that’s you know, whether I lose on this particular product coming to win on several others, right?

If I go above that thirty percent threshold, I’m pissed myself. And so that pushes me even further. So I think that it’s kind of like having that mix that Nick Saban for any Alabama fans out there.

I’m sure I’m making some people upset but it’s just that consistency man, even if you’re winning something’s not Right go back look at everything but make sure you have those three things in place and it’s going to make your life so much easier if you can automate it and try to build your segmentations. It’s just everything else falls into place.

Yeah, I totally totally agree that we’re in the same situation from a software standpoint and it’s always because I talk to these growth Equity private Equity guys are throwing one for money. That’s all the time. They can’t understand why we don’t want to spend all of our money just on 120 $235 free trials and like because it’s coming off our pockets we have it doesn’t work that way. And so we had to get smart like you did and again the whole idea is far as whether it’s a self liquidating offer kind of like what you said up there and allowing that opportunity love that number as far as 30% That’s that’s crazy.

And I think one of the things I’ve always loved about what you do is, you know your numbers, I mean, you totally totally know your numbers and I think is what’s up. I’m sorry. I was going to tell you something else. That’s crazy.

So, yeah. Sounds like you’re big on analytics. And so guess guess guess what? My cost of goods sold is this is just getting a little bit.

Do I have no clue so it’s so I’m going to Define it cost of Steel cost of consumables cost of powder coat. So the actual piece itself once it’s complete. So let’s say like your flag that you held up. So I’ve got an 18 inch distressed distressed Battle Flag here, which is absolutely beautiful. I know some of this is going to be recorded and you’ll be as a podcast you won’t be able to see this go check out red lines steel.com and you’ll see it there, but it’s absolute beautiful piece.

Thank you. So yes, so across the board. If you were to Baseline all of our products, we maintain a seven percent cost of goods sold Josh 7% Yes.

And so that’s what makes it very unique and different for us to scale and grow as a company is that you know, we’re able to spend a little bit more money on a marketing attribution cost because we can offset that now, you know, I’ve got millions of dollars of equipment on the outside of to manufacture all of this so, you know, it takes money to make money and we’re constantly evolving and flipping and buying not I just put in a purchase order for a new automated conveyor system with an infrared tunnels and auto cooldowns auto sprays Andre sprays and what that’s going to do is it’s going to drops from 7% You’re going to see we’re not talking about a year and this is going to drop from 7 to probably 5% And so I’m going to confess I’m going to continuously.

More volume, you know, we’ve done we’ve done over probably two and a half to three million pounds of steel. So buying so much volume that it’s it’s like really really low at this point. So, you know, and you know, what’s crazy is that like my competition quote unquote where an entire Blue Ocean Market strategy, which is pleasing that’s another conversation but it’s it’s awesome because my competition they’re like what you’re selling it for. I couldn’t even buy the raw material. And so we really we’ve created a monopoly as what’s happened.

So it’s really an interesting place to be and ultimately my vision is that we’re going to be a billion dollar company within the next seven years, but we’re just taking steel they were going to duplicate the same core principles into wood and canvas and then it’s also going to be something that I would love to potentially, you know for anybody listening and yourself included they his Discuss potential you know, I think dropshipping could be massive, you know within your audience and what we have to do here so it could be future toxin the next couple of years as we scale and grow as a company because I think there needs to be better Dropship offers within the United States with made in America subtle agree. I think that it’s a missing Mark then you know, I want to play into that side.

So we’re looking at doing that as well. We’re not at that point now because we can’t keep up with the orders coming in the door. I mean, it’s it’s crazy, but I love it. So basically your competitors can buy their products from you and still make money on it. That’s right. We we sell it wholesale we sell it at such a reasonable to try to proactively drive conversion rate time, right? I mean, I’ve got funnels that are converting above 30% So it’s mean dude if I had more equipment to make the stuff I could have been a 50 million or a hundred million Company by now. So and you I’ve done all this without a b c or no extended lines.

So it’s its growth Pains of trying to balance what’s coming in the door and what’s going out but like I said a few minutes ago, like I’m the only one getting sales in the other 39 people are trying to get everything out. So they’re trying to keep up with me.

Obviously. That’s a big pretty competitive race at your office then try to keep up with you. I’m sure yeah, that’s why I’m trying to buy more equipment to call and I can’t thank you enough. I get I look forward to really getting to know you much better over the time here.

I had a couple of others I’ve been there as well. We’ve had Kevin Chia was recently here, but the hard part is as an affiliate manager. It’s really hard to have that as your only focus and as a company and one of things I really recommend is take a look at your own company. You start scaling your company.

It’s really difficult to have a person whose only job is working just with Affiliates, even though we’ve got our how many thousands of Affiliates we have all times and it just in this group alone close to 50,000 people in this group and we got to be, you know half of our users for click on okay Celia, so tons of Affiliates, but even with all those Affiliates one of things we’ve seen is that it’s really tough as a company to justify why you’d have a person just as an affiliate manager.

So recently as Kevin she took on some other responsibilities is one of our team leads. We kind of got rid of the whole affiliate manager position.

Talking with James P free land Brent computers about this whole concept of all of the things that we’re trying to do it click funnels and how we’re trying to grow and build this thing and one of the things that James made mention of is what you really need to do is take a look at a relationship manager. I’m like James what the heck is a relationship manager.

So we went out and we tried to find just the right person who would fit exactly what we’re looking for. So understand when you’re looking at a in the business for relationship manager for click funnels for us take for example, we have Affiliates. We have our Dream 100 and our Dream 100 now spans 10 different Industries and for different social networks.

And in addition to that market integration platforms on the backend and integration Partners, so it’s really like a dream 753 1000 three 1000 will go with do 1,000 pounds. So I think that could be your own name. Perfect.

So what we were thinking about is how do we actually connect with and manage these people on regular basis? So we went out to try to find out who be the very best person who we could bring in. Who can handle all these relationships and the same time deal with working with me, which I’m like scattered all the time million things going on.

And so what we found is within our own ClickFunnels™ Community working. Our home office was the very best person in the world. What are some of the key relationships you’re focused on and how are you actually connecting with them?

Well, there’s you know relationships are super important in there so many different Industries. You just talked about an old 1010 industries that span our Dream 100 and it’s building those relationships with everyone in there and trying to figure out where we can best serve them. Right? It’s always, you know, I think a lot of times people are looking like well what’s in it for me what’s in it for me?

And hopefully that’s not how we ever come across want to come and like, how can we help you? You know, obviously you having success in turn helps us have successes. You’re a successful affiliate, you know, we see the benefit of that and so do you but we want to make sure that we’re there to benefit you more so than you benefiting us if that makes sense. And so that’s really kind of one of the keys with relationship manager is figuring Out how we can assist them how we can help them best and to move forward.

I love that. I think as a business owner, which most of you guys are when you take a look at your own business. It’s the relationships that matter the most and I really would hope that you would you get to that point in your business to where you little can hire someone as awesome as miles is to go out and connect with and really deep in those relationships.

I take a look. I was talking my kids the other day about the fact that every job I’ve ever had in my entire life is because of someone I knew I’ve never gotten a job any other way than knowing somebody and for me, it’s all about relationships. We actually are out here at Jeff Walker’s a bit building relationships with some of our Affiliates integration Partners here with Jeff Walker.

One of the main things that miles is doing is working with Larry on their on their team for launch Club it actually building out some of the funnels for launch caught lunch club, which is Jeff’s I don’t know how much charge is now $15,000 program or something like that.

That’s one of the benefits they get so for when you take a look at your own business, there’s certain ways. You can grow at one obviously is through Phillotson through JB’s and the other real big thing. We’ve seen long-term growth comes and that’s from marketing integration partners.

And so whatever your business is, I didn’t have highly recommend you take a look at how can you integrate your business in with someone else’s classic example, I’ve seen years ago. And that was I was doing some Consulting for a chiropractor and one of the things they actually did some Market integration with was a masseuse by bringing a masseuse in and so that was a market integration tool that they use in a physical location where by just bringing them in and help clients on both sides. He didn’t pay the masseuse.

She actually gave him a discount she got clients out of it and it was a win-win for them. So take a look at your own business. One of the most important things is how do you stablish deeper relationships? One of the things we were talking about just the other day was as affiliates.

The idea here is we can always give you cash and cash is one thing but miles reached out recent. What were some of the things you found people wanted. Yeah, you know what honestly it was just spending time like as crazy. It sounds we reached out to some of the top guys. Like hey, we ran these promotions.

Some people came back with blue yeti mics or Tech equipment. A lot of them. Just wanted to build relationships. Hey, I want to spend a day lifting with Dave and Russell. I want to spend a day shadowing Dave and Russell or brand or John. I want to have a signed copy of the expert Secrets book. It’s that connection that relationship not with just a piece of technology but with an actual human being so that’s super cool.

I can tell you that if you’ve been following us long enough, you’ve hurt and understand the importance of culture and culture is built on relationships. And so I highly recommend in your own business find a way of building a relationship manager get some of you can connect with most importantly find someone like miles who you can reach out to who can actually build and deepen those relationships because your your business will always be built on relationships.

So Miles and I are down here in Phoenix at Jeff Walker’s product launch formula live.

So we came in a couple days early because we had launched club. And so today we were out meeting with different business owners and things working some different deals together. And so literally in the last 24 hours, he and I have had seven different boober experiences going to kind of walk you through this and make sure you guys understand the lessons that we’ve we’ve learned all from so setting the stage here all seven.

These people have our solopreneurs working for themselves and utilizing the exact same. Company Uber in their business that’s kind of the business model. They’re using all seven of them are have completely different business models have completely different ways.

They run their business some are super successful with others absolutely suck and so whole reason to let you know that is it’s not the tool as much as it is the person so let me kind of set the stage for last night miles and I so Miles has this thing whatever he gets in a goober car first thing he asks is what so I asked him if this was their last night on Earth what place in the city would they go eat your last meal at and the I asked the lady on the way from the airport to the hotel where she would go eat and she suggested this place called Joyride tacos.

I don’t know if we’re getting into how bad that was, but what’s get that two different podcast. So I had originally wanted to go to Arrogant Butcher if you ever in Phoenix, by the way downtown Arrogant Butcher is just amazing, but had like an hour long wait so that okay. No big deal. We’ll just go ahead and go to miles.

In of This Joy Ride tacos, so we go across here. And so Miles have the option of calling the Uber so Miles causes Uber and you would think we just get picked up. That’s how normal people call an Uber you get picked up right at the place where you’re at.

No, no from Wild we actually end up walk how far do we walk half mile? It probably half a mile to meet this person, which was that I have no idea like I’m not a newbie to ordering Ubers by any means but for some reason Dave and I had to walk because she couldn’t turn to pick us up and we had yeah, so first over lesson if you’re going to be an Uber driver know where to pick people up at it. So you gotta know you gotta know the roads.

Second thing is we get in the car and she doesn’t even know she starts talking out about Millennials and how terrible Millennials are of which miles happens to be one. I’m a millennial and she’s just sitting there insulting me. Actually. She wasn’t even calling us by that. She’s calling us millenniums.

Yeah, so she was calling us. What is that like a good time measurement house in years. So so she Even using the term right but she was just bashing on us. It’s so then not only she starts bash. I just talked to talk. He starts talking about how terrible Millennials are and the corporate culture that they’re destroying because she has a day job and her daytime job. He’s Millennials are coming in and they wear shorts.

They wear flip-flops. They take off their shoes. They walk Barefoot in the office totally insulting totally destroying the culture. I’m sitting back there just dying laughing because I’m wearing flip-flops and walking barefoot in our office and wearing shorts all the time and I’m just back there egging her on I’m like, yeah, that’s disgusting. I don’t know how anyone would do that knowing that Russell wears flip-flops Brent John day, they all wear flip-flops and walk around Barefoot. So I was I was enjoying what she was saying. It was just fun to kind of fraud.

So lesson number one. First of all know how to use the tool that you’re in which is a new bird know how to work pick pick people up at second thing know your customer don’t insult your customer. So that’s from our first Super Driver the Can one know was this morning? So we got in this one and we were going out to meet with six Division and on our drive out to six division. This guy actually happens to see your shirt.

He’s got on the Retro ClickFunnels™ ClickFunnels™ shirt goes dude cool shirt and what happens next? So then we start talking to them about. Hey, do you use click phonies? I used to use click funnels and then so we got talking about what he does for for work now besides driving Uber and he started going into some of the side hustles that he was doing and what he did full time, which was Amazon FBA and eBay and all that.

And so here’s a guy who basically knows that we work for and with click funnels and starts insulting put the files. Well really doesn’t work for us doesn’t don’t like the way it works and then by the end of the ride, he wants to sign up to become a ClickFunnels™ user.

So again understand who your customer is was the lesson from that guy but you also have to realize Dave didn’t take offense to it didn’t get after him or anything like that Dave ended up explaining how he could use ClickFunnels™ for the way he wanted to and He’s like, you know what? I think I’m going to sign up again. So there’s another lesson like if somebody insult you and your business don’t go back and attack them help them understand how they can use it correctly.

Cool. Tip. Third guy was oh this was actually one of my favorite guys. This is Ida to this is the guy from six division back to the hotel here. So this was a guy who’s using Uber full-time and he’s super super proud of it and loves what he’s doing couldn’t talk about. I mean just the amazing Freedom that he feels in his life.

He’s a complete solopreneur drives around. We actually to Facebook live with this guy and just super polite super just excited and everything else the best part about it. This is a guy who basically knows how to use the tool to his Advantage.

So he drives for Uber he drives for lift and he drives for Amazon. I didn’t even know you could drive for Amazon, but he’s a guy who goes to warehouses picks up 45 to 50 different get a nice car too. Didn’t he? He did it was like Newer Ford Escape. Yeah, so is basically used to this card pick up 45 to 50 packages from the warehouse and then he delivers them and the way it works with Amazon driver is they basically pay you based on how long they think it’s going to take you to do that route.

And so if there’s it’s can take about four hours he gets it done in two. So we average like 72 bucks an hour for for doing that and then wherever he’s at he just turns on Uber or Lyft and goes from there. He was so excited about everything he’s done. He totally knows how his game the system you wanted to apologize to the American public because he knows that he’s basically at what he say 53 and a half cents a mile to 70,000 miles a year and paid nine hundred forty seven dollars in tax. So you basically get 60,000 a year is what he makes tax-free and he got an earned income credit on top of that.

So he was super super excited. So understand lessons from this guy is you can have the same tool if you’re really good at that tool. You can absolutely crush it and blue wipe out your competition which totally done Those are no the next one Oliver. So no this one before Oliver. This is a guy so we actually had the Amazon Uber driver dropped us off. He asked you ask him where to eat. Oh, yes. Yes.

Oh my goodness. So we stopped in this place and we eat he tells us that the best hamburger. He’s ever had we had it it was it was decent and then we come out and we grab this brand-new or we grab an Uber driver and it was probably about what a three minute drive from from the hotel. We should have locked had we known where we were we would have walked we would have and we walk out and there’s this bigger dude standing right next to us who starts walking and we get in this guy’s car when he comes and picks us up and don’t know if you want to take the story from here, but go for it.

Anyway, we get in the car and he’s like, where should I turn like, I don’t know your Maps telling you were to take us like drive us and we start driving in circles and that guy that left the restaurant walking we passed him three different times because we drove in circles and finally I was done. I wasn’t looking out one of the windows on the hey right here is good and Dave. Looks out the left window. I’m looking out the right and he’s like no. No this isn’t good because we’re literally right where we started.

So 10 minutes later for a three-minute ride. We ended up back in the exact same spot and then Dave and I pull out our phones put the address in and say you’re going to go up here take a left.

So that’s just a great example of again using the the tool or whatever it is correctly and not just going in circles. We literally spin our wheels for 10 minutes that we could have avoided that completely so when someone provides you a map like uber does you could actually follow the map and get success if you don’t want to follow the map and you want to ask the person who basically is in from a different city for directions and City you’re supposed to be driving.

It probably isn’t gonna work out that well, so use the tool and use the map that typically the tool provider gives you and provide the service to the person is paying you so don’t ask the person who you just picked up provide service to how to actually do the job that they just hired you to do.

Next one next one is all over. I’ll let you talk about Oliver. Yeah. So Oliver was a taxi driver where he was he’s telling us how much he made two dollars and 31 cents. I’m like, what am I already drove or something like that? And then he was telling us that he drives Uber full time. He has a car with four hundred thousand miles on it were like man, you’ve really taken care of this car. Like how long have you had it? He then he tells us it’s not his car in that. He’s actually renting the car were like, oh that’s actually pretty smart until he told us how much he pays not per month, but per week to rent this car and it wasn’t a hundred dollars.

It wasn’t 150. It wasn’t 200. He pays two hundred and fifty dollars a week to rent a car to drive for Uber to make 71 cents a mile. You gotta drive a lot of miles to cover a thousand dollars a month. In fact, I don’t know how many miles that is. But only if we were smart out a calculator and I was recording this on something other than my phone I could actually do that. But bottom line is this guy’s a professional driver and so you guys drive 1408 miles to cover the thousand dollars and that doesn’t cover your gas.

So you’re driving a lot of miles just to break even so typically understand understand the numbers in your business. If you don’t understand the numbers in your business, you can be spending a whole bunch of time and energy doing a whole bunch of work and never ever getting head even though you feel like you’re literally driving and driving and driving 400 Thousand Miles and get never really getting ahead.

Next one was probably one of my funniest ones and I have to apologize to those of you saw the story on Instagram.It is not my favorite lately insensitive. So we happen to be here with Vince and Greg. Two guys basically crushing it for us as team leads and support and everything else and they’d never been to In and Out and so if you have been to In-N-Out Burger In-N-Out Burger basically has this crazy.

Culture thing and so these guys are both in Canada. They’ve heard about how amazing this in and out place is weirding out of Phoenix and they want to go to In-N-Out. So we basically have all of Route takes is to In and Out where now are finished with our meal or calling the next Uber to take us back to the hotel and moms had the best luck with colleague Uber cab.

I’m crushing. I’m a hundred percent sucking at this this guy. He’s driving an Outback. So obviously there’s some days loving this there’s enough for four people to sit in this thing. He pulls up he asks where I’m at where we’re going. I said, oh we’re going to the Sheraton in Phoenix. He goes I need more so I tell them what we’re going to Third Street and they’ll send he’s like well then also, hey guys rides here soon as I tell them there’s more people’s I can’t take it. I can’t take you. So I’m trying to like figure out like dude you just because you’re here miles is in the middle of the street.

Yes, which of the parking lot here is on one side some shopping centers of the other miles this limiting the middle of the street having this conversation this guy and the guy behind the Uber is Honking the horn and this guy’s just getting totally frustrated.

Yeah, so it was just a crazy situation and mind you it’s in a parking lot. So people shouldn’t be going that fast and you’re probably be paying attention. So I’m talking to this guy trying to figure out what’s going on. And this guy’s honking at him behind them like Dave said, so I’m getting like scared or flush or not scared but like flustered so I’ll send I take one step back and the next thing you know, I’m on my butt and my back looking up at the sky because I got hit by a freaking car.

I got hit by a car. I still don’t understand I’m literally icing my foot and my leg right now as we do this podcast because I got ran over by a car and I felt terrible because this gal got out and the dude just drove off our Uber driver. We’ll just call him we can’t swear on this podcast, but he just left us and the guy honking the horn just left and other cars drove past as I’m getting up in this girl gets out. She’s crying I felt bad for her. I’m so sorry. Oh my gosh. She was so upset.

Oh, she thought she’d killed miles. I should have played it off. Made some money but miles was super super sensitive found out her first name said Relax, it’s okay. She thought she was gonna have a heart attack.

I thought I was gonna go to prison for accidentally killing someone because they died from hitting me. So yeah, so I guess the business lesson out of that Uber driver was realize if you were in the business of picking people up and you know that they’re going to have you have a car that fits for people you actually should probably pick up for people but he didn’t want to for some reason.

I don’t know if it was the way miles looked or what was going on but bottom line he bailed on it and unfortunately when you fail on other people who are relying on you to accomplish a task, like we ask this guy to take us literally five miles down the road and you know simple tasks like hey post this or remove this and this at this time those certain things that keep a business going.

We wanted this guy just to drive us five miles and by him saying no let to us kind of not arguing but then it led to me getting hit by a car so he him being such Be kind of a punk ended up leading to a terrible thing for me that can happen in business. If you’re working with people who aren’t going to go and get things done and just do what they need to do. Something bad can happen. You got to make sure you know ClickFunnels™ done a great job with that hiring the right people and building the right kind of culture.

And so you got to do the same in your business. Totally totally agree with that one. Our last one was from in and out back to the hotel tonight and this guy was so there’s our second Prius. Yep, and we were so we had a 4,000 mile Prius and all were basically drove us over there. And so I was curious and dropping this other Prius how many miles you got in this one?

It got torn 54,000 like man, if you’ve driven all those miles and sure enough this guy happens to be renting his Prius as well. And I asked him to know how much I ask how much you pay in and he didn’t he was like did not want to disclose any numbers at all. He goes up 10 bucks like 10 bucks.

It’s in the obviously that’s not how much you really reading this for and he would not do this. Well, The guy before he’s driving a Prius and he rents for 250 bucks a week and goes that guy’s got a good deal like a good deal. And again this guys doing it full time to so got to realize you got to know your numbers and you got to know your customers.

So wrapping up this entire episode here basically first and foremost know your business know your numbers utilize the tool the way the tool is supposed to be used and use lift and he’s just kidding. I still like I do too. I was kidding.

I’m a little frustrated still but I think the main thing here is we were joking about as we were as miles is hobbling up here really about the idea that you know what there’s business lessons everywhere you turn and I think it’s one of things I encourage you guys to really kind of take a look at especially anyways, listen to podcast. You’re a business owner you learn from other people and I would only hope is funny. Some of these experiences have been in the last 24 hours. So what I want to come talk to you about is for the longest time go to the very very beginning of Kind of Russell’s original plans and things typically and people wearing a lot of hats and one of those hats would be affiliate manager Rinku Peters is probably one of Russell’s first.

I had a couple of others I’ve been there as well. We’ve had Kevin Chia was recently here, but the hard part is as an affiliate manager. It’s really hard to have that as your only focus and as a company and one of things I really recommend is take a look at your own company. You start scaling your company.

It’s really difficult to have a person whose only job is working just with Affiliates, even though we’ve got our how many thousands of Affiliates we have all times and it just in this group alone close to 50,000 people in this group and we got to be, you know half of our users for click on okay Celia, so tons of Affiliates, but even with all those Affiliates one of things we’ve seen is that it’s really tough as a company to justify why you’d have a person just as an affiliate manager.

So recently as Kevin she took on some other responsibilities is one of our team leads. We kind of got rid of the whole affiliate manager position. Talking with James P free land Brent computers about this whole concept of all of the things that we’re trying to do it click funnels and how we’re trying to grow and build this thing and one of the things that James made mention of is what you really need to do is take a look at a relationship manager. I’m like James what the heck is a relationship manager.

So we went out and we tried to find just the right person who would fit exactly what we’re looking for. So understand when you’re looking at a in the business for relationship manager for click funnels for us take for example, we have Affiliates. We have our Dream 100 and our Dream 100 now spans 10 different Industries and for different social networks.

And in addition to that market integration platforms on the backend and integration Partners, so it’s really like a dream 753 1000 three 1000 will go with do 1,000 pounds. So I think that could be your own name. Perfect.

So what we were thinking about is how do we actually connect with and manage these people on regular basis? So we went out to try to find out who be the very best person who we could bring in. Who can handle all these relationships and the same time deal with working with me, which I’m like scattered all the time million things going on. And so what we found is within our own ClickFunnels™ Community working. Our home office was the very best person in the world. We could think of for bringing someone in for this the one and only miles Clifford.

Thanks Dave. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate that. So but I ya know it was kind of a crazy experience that I worked with Dave and the past he is going a hundred miles an hour. I would even say that like 300 miles an hour. He’s go go go and so you do have to keep up with them.

I’ve been trying to do it still trying to learn how to do it better. But it’s a I’m super excited for the opportunity for sure or excited. I think the main thing is what I really want to make sure you guys understand in your own business as well as an affiliate for ClickFunnels™. My only reason I’m saying that is we have a ton of things going on this week and didn’t want to take away from a lot of things. We’re currently working on to try to provide value to you. But what we’re thinking about next week is doing something kind of special around this expert secrets. So I haven’t even told anybody and Russell has no idea.

And so I want to talk to Miles little bit about this because it’s important for you as an affiliate to understand who you’re working with your vet extremely valuable to us. And so miles is here and has done an amazing job works with all of our Dream 100 Affiliates as well as all of our dream car winners and we have 66 to yeah 62 people want a car.

It’s crazy and it happened turning your paperwork to missing out on payment. Like I send you an e-mail respond back and you get a free car. So we have 19 people who have actually qualified for the dream car just haven’t sinned in their paperwork. So maybe can hit one of those guys up and you can actually get a copy of it yourself. Yeah, really?

What I want to do though is to help you guys understand in your own business. How does this how does a relationship manager work for you and your business?

So for us miles has taken so much off of my plate and I can’t thank him enough for all that. He’s been able to do because he’s working extremely.

The with our Affiliates for one but in addition to that a lot of our Dream 100 players who were always trying to network with and work great in a tighter relationship with so what are some of the things from your perspective as far as a relationship man? What are some of the key relationships you’re focused on and how are you actually connecting with them? Well, there’s you know relationships are super important in there so many different Industries. You just talked about an old 1010 industries that span our Dream 100 and it’s building those relationships with everyone in there and trying to figure out where we can best serve them. Right? It’s always, you know, I think a lot of times people are looking like well what’s in it for me what’s in it for me?

And hopefully that’s not how we ever come across want to come and like, how can we help you? You know, obviously you having success in turn helps us have successes. You’re a successful affiliate, you know, we see the benefit of that and so do you but we want to make sure that we’re there to benefit you more so than you benefiting us if that makes sense. And so that’s really kind of one of the keys with relationship manager is figuring Out how we can assist them how we can help them best and to move forward.

I love that. I think as a business owner, which most of you guys are when you take a look at your own business. It’s the relationships that matter the most and I really would hope that you would you get to that point in your business to where you little can hire someone as awesome as miles is to go out and connect with and really deep in those relationships.

I take a look. I was talking my kids the other day about the fact that every job I’ve ever had in my entire life is because of someone I knew I’ve never gotten a job any other way than knowing somebody and for me, it’s all about relationships.

We actually are out here at Jeff Walker’s a bit building relationships with some of our Affiliates integration Partners here with Jeff Walker. One of the main things that miles is doing is working with Larry on their on their team for launch Club it actually building out some of the funnels for launch caught lunch club, which is Jeff’s I don’t know how much charge is now $15,000 program or something like that.

That’s one of the benefits they get so for when you take a look at your own business, there’s certain ways. You can grow at one obviously is through Phillotson through JB’s and the other real big thing. We’ve seen long-term growth comes and that’s from marketing integration partners. And so whatever your business is, I didn’t have highly recommend you take a look at how can you integrate your business in with someone else’s classic example, I’ve seen years ago.

And that was I was doing some Consulting for a chiropractor and one of the things they actually did some Market integration with was a masseuse by bringing a masseuse in and so that was a market integration tool that they use in a physical location where by just bringing them in and help clients on both sides. He didn’t pay the masseuse.

She actually gave him a discount she got clients out of it and it was a win-win for them. So take a look at your own business. One of the most important things is how do you stablish deeper relationships? One of the things we were talking about just the other day was as affiliates.

The idea here is we can always give you cash and cash is one thing but miles reached out recent. What were some of the things you found people wanted. Yeah, you know what honestly it was just spending time like as crazy. It sounds we reached out to some of the top guys. Like hey, we ran these promotions.

Some people came back with blue yeti mics or Tech equipment. A lot of them. Just wanted to build relationships. Hey, I want to spend a day lifting with Dave and Russell. I want to spend a day shadowing Dave and Russell or brand or John. I want to have a signed copy of the expert Secrets book. It’s that connection that relationship not with just a piece of technology but with an actual human being so that’s super cool. I can tell you that if you’ve been following us long enough, you’ve hurt and understand the importance of culture and culture is built on relationships.

And so I highly recommend in your own business find a way of building a relationship manager get some of you can connect with most importantly find someone like miles who you can reach out to who can actually build and deepen those relationships because your your business will always be built on relationships.
