Secret #31: The Four Levels Of Value

Secret #31: The Four Levels Of Value

what’s up everybody this russell brunson welcome to a very special impromptu marketing seekers podcast it’s got an inner circle call and it was so awesome I wanted to share with you so the big question is this how are entrepreneurs like us you didn’t cheat and take on venture capital we’re spending money from our own pockets how do we market in a way the lets us get our products and our services and the things that we believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets so I’ve monitor circle call inner circle are my 25 k members and there’s hundred of them and we have with group close to hundred people and one of my so every once month I do console calls with altom and one of them today was with Myron golden who is one of coolest people in the world and in the middle of this thing he dropped like 10 12 minutes of the coolest thing about how income in the different levels of income and like it was so good I I want to share so that after you hear he tripped on it for like 15 I was like okay put that on the podcast and he was like sure man so I’m like ah so I’m doing this real quick for a jump on the next call I’m gonna plug this clip in here this hope you understand the levels of income and if you’re stuck and where you needed shift and like what those changes are for you to get to where you want to be from income from finance standpoint and it’s awesome so listen right now and I hope you enjoyed this episode of the marketing secrets podcast there’s a reason people who make a lot of money make a lot of money there’s a reason people who make a little money make a little money and because income is the result of value created and offered in the marketplace right so value is what creates income and there are four levels of value and if you’re operating on one of the lower levels you can only make so much money alright so the and I’ll just tell you what the four levels of value are so you can kind of wrap your mind around you’re there for a bet there are four levels but there are five resources the top level of value you have two resources you can use so every level has one resource but the top level has two resources so the lowest level of value is implementation that’s the lowest level of value that is the people who do the thing so if you do the thing you’re the person who does you make the least amount of money and and I basically tell to you from the presentation if you’re an implementer I know how much money you make somewhere between minimum wage and $80,000 you make minimum wage if you’re like working as housekeeping staff at a hotel or McDonald’s or whatever you make 80,000 a year if you’re like a mechanic that works on Rolls Royces or Bentley’s or something right so that’s your income window and then the next level of value and by the way the resource that you use at that level is your muscles you it’s your muscles to make one by the way I shouldn’t show that on a camera but to protect anyway anyway part of my corn I’m a corny dude what can I say Sarah so so the resources you use your muscles to make money in the whole premise of the concept is that money is spiritual in nature it is not materialistic in nature right and so if you’re using a physical resource like your muscles to make money then your income is going to be limited if you want to make more money you have to operate at a higher spiritual value a higher spiritual level does that make sense so far okay so the next level of value which is the second to the lowest the two resources there or muscle and what was the other reason there’s only one resource at that level that’s your muscle right the top level has multiple resources the bottom levels only have one then we sent okay so the lowest level is implementation the second to the lowest level is called unification that is you Germanic the resources your management skills you use your management skills to make money and you’re you don’t do the thing but you manage the people who do the thing and so you make more money than the people who do the thing but you still have a limited income you’re gonna make somewhere on the low end in between forty thousand dollars a year on the high end a quarter of a million forty thousand if you’re a manager of Taco Bell high end quarter of a million you’re a middle manager or vice president something at Lockheed Martin let’s say okay so that’s your income window you want to make more money than that like working harder in the same level doesn’t make you mama right so the next level is called communication second to the highest level of value communicators are some of the highest paid people in the world I’m not talking about people who communicate a message from their head to somebody else’s head but people who communicate a message from their heart to somebody else’s heart they can make they use their words to make people feel something you know exactly what that looks like because you do it all the time right so so you’re communicating a message we use your mouth to make money on the low end you’re gonna make 100 grand on the high end you might make hundred million low in 100 grand parse your you sell cars you make $100,000 a year higher than hundred million you’re an actor you’re an a-list actor you might make 100 million dollars a year you’re Robert Downey jr. you’re a you’re a Vince L Washington you’re an a-list actor you’re a singer you’re an a-list singer you produce albums you’re a J CDs you’re an usher you are Beyonce you’re communicating you’re either an author you’re speaker you’re an actor you’re a songwriter you’re a playwright on your sales person you you you launch this business called clickfunnels even though you know how to program but you know how to communicate the message hashtag just say it okay how’s that just say so communication is the second highest level of value and people who don’t get really good at communicating can making a lot of money people who resist communicating and if I might quote a friend of mine who lives out in Boise Idaho they just hate money so communication is the second highest level of value and use your mouth to make money that’s the resource you use your mouth and it almost doesn’t even seem fair because fares not in fares not a real concept doesn’t seem fair that people who talk make more money than people who move things and hammer nails and dig holes but they do I these guys come out here and look at my roof today the guy told me he’s been working for this roofing company for 40-something years and the skin was all leathery and he’d like sores on his head oh my goodness it’s so painful he uses a muscle to make money and he’d been doing it for 40 years anything so just thought about that just now it’s like sometimes people will be physically diligent so they can maintain a state of mental laziness right so they get they can’t work hard at learning a new thing but they’ll work hard at doing what’s already not working so anyway so that’s the kind of the progression I’m taking people and the highest level of value are you ready drum roll please okay highest level of value is imagination you use your mind to make one that’s one of the resources use your mind the other resource you use with your imagination to make money is money so those are the two resources use your mind to make money way like are there people who make money trading stocks and options and commodities and all stuff are the people who do that yeah absolutely right well are there people who lose money doing the same thing yeah what’s the difference the difference is how they use their mind so your mind is your greatest resource for creating wealth but most people we’ve been programmed by a whole life not to think right and most people don’t think they think they think so they just think they think so what they really do is they’re really they’re really regurgitating pre-programmed responses that were programmed to them while they’re plugged into the matrix and they think they’re having a thought and so mind over money mastery is a program where I teach you how to use the three highest level resources and the two highest levels of value lets each have to use your mouth mouth mastery I teach you mine mastery and I teach you money mastery that’s why it’s called mind over money mastery so that’s the that’s the thank you one more marketing secrets if sold and go get welcome to funnel hacker radio podcast where we go behind the scenes and uncover the tactics and strategies top entrepreneurs are using to make more sales dominate their markets and how you can get those same results here is your host Dave Woodward all right everybody welcome back live on Facebook be a zoom and today I’m super super super excited cuz you have the opportunity of meeting the man the myth the legend behind anything YouTube deer leaves welcome to show hey thanks for having me really appreciate you let me come on to this amazing podcast slash live event or whatever we’re doing here now people who’ve been dying to find out more and more information about you and everything that you do obviously you’re the man behind the executive producer behind squatty potty with the Harmon brothers which was just crazy crazy successful YouTube channel but or YouTube ad video whatever but the main thing I’d love is because yeah this is a man who’s had over 21 billion with a B views on YouTube taken 14 channels from zero to over a million gold medallion basic gold button channel and just the guy who basically knows anything at all about YouTube and Daryl I’m so so excited to have you so thank you so much for being here with us yeah I’m excited to be here and I’m excited to cover the items that people want to learn learn about video and such so well I again I think it’s just amazing as everyone always wants to find out more about audiences and how they create an audience we I asked people send us some questions and things a very first thing that came out but how do I grow an audience how do I grow this and I know for us this is again I’m interviewing more from me personally like a free consultation it sounds like you know but the thing about it and this is the most important thing is every platform is very specific on how you actually grow an audience what you do on Facebook is gonna be different than what you actually do on YouTube and so you we need to understand the ecosystem of the platform and how it engages people but what doesn’t change is the video content the video content can live and breathe and it can engage people on a level that we haven’t ever seen before in the world and we’re getting more and more authentic I mean what we’re doing here right now is a very authentic way to actually do a presentation that will be kind of repurposed into a podcast and also put on a video I mean there’s a lot of great things but I think the first thing is understanding the platform and and then also positioning yourself so you know exactly the type of content that you’re going to do because certain content doesn’t really thrive on on different platforms so for example if I did a long-form for our video on Facebook that wouldn’t work very well like the retention rates wouldn’t very do very well but if it was like on Amazon or on Netflix you know that’s something that people can consume and even on YouTube it’s known to be kind of longer form and so really understanding the audience you want to go after and then also you know to understand the platform but the most important thing and this is something that a lot of people just miss out on but you have to be like super hyper focused you can’t be all over the board you have to be really really hyper focused in a specific niche and the reason why is there’s so many different variety of things and if you’re getting people to come back day after day week after week month after month they need to have some consistent themes and we’ll talk about consistency a little bit later but it’s that’s kind of like the key elements that you’re going to need to grow in any platform and I love that I know that this is one of the main reasons why I reached out to you is we saw that when we did our expert secrets book launch that Facebook was a very unique analyst were very very familiar with and a lot of the people our Kotov go dream 100 were great at email but they had no presence on social media so we did all our virtual book tour all inside of Facebook exactly how we wanted but I was amazed to see a lot of our normal major players had no presence there and then we started looking all the other social media channels same thing as far as Instagram Instagram is a unique University just can’t communicate in the video and everything else has to be unique in that area you yeah let’s say and that’s really again I’m so so excited to be talking about this because for us it’s really the area that we’re trying to grow a ton we’ve I think you we’re talking you earlier about the fact we have on our funnel hacker TV channel and this is one of my big questions for you you know how many how many basically things do you actually have in there so take for example as far as playlists we have a funnel hacker TV playlist we have one behind the scenes this video that you and I are doing right now I’ll show up under the funnel hacker radio right Russell has his marketing secrets podcast as a video on there and so I’m kind of curious as far as when you’re growing an audience and you’re growing that channel gee what’s the best strategy as far as having a whole bunch of different playlists or just one and how does that work well it really all comes back down to your content release strategy and realizing what type of audience that you’re actually going for us kind of like what I was telling you before but it’s like what type of content is gonna resonate with with the audience that’s intended to to be the potential viewer and if if it’s I mean literally you’re hyper focused on you know hacking funnels and and talking about landing page optimization you know all that other stuff that’s basically 100 percent that audience but you might have uncle Russ go to you know Africa and get some moments that he’s vlogging or whatever and you know that’s a great thing that you’re able to do to where it’s bringing some authenticity maybe he’s going over teaching and training people there and you’re pulling those elements in but some of that might not be engaging for a lot of your subscribers or potential viewers however if you bring that in and pepper it in then you know it tells a story and I think that’s the the most difficult thing that most people have is is they really don’t know how to tell a story within their videos you know and have it really play out so you know interviewing and talking about certain things giving information is becomes very easy but if you can weave it into storytelling which is the most powerful way to actually present and it’s something that we’ve as humans from day one would love to sit around the campfire and listen to people’s stories if you can weave that in that’s where audience has become more engaged and more personally vested into what you’re actually talking about well again you are the master storyteller again I’ve seen all the stuff you’ve done the Harmon brothers we were talking about even the piano guys and some of the others I mean you built a ton as you mentioned yeah different channels from zero to over a million subscribers I mean that’s crazy crazy stuff and I know that stories are really one of the main things you sell that what are some of the key strategies from a video standpoint when you’re telling stories that people should know about when they’re looking at trying to grow that audience well like okay so you guys are all about conversion right I mean at the end of the day all you’re looking about okay we need to convert we need to do a bee testing and so through a lot of testing and through a lot of things you get to realize your contents gonna be oversaturated like there’s so many there’s so many different places people are trying to grab attention of everyone what’s gonna make you stand out above everyone else so the first thing that I do even before I pick up the camera before we even plan is number one what is the video gonna be about and we literally properly plan for the type of content that’s gonna be released and then to I look for what’s an engaging thumbnail and also and that thumbnail needs to be a clickable thumbnail something that can tell a story on its own – I want a clickable title not not a clickbait title but a clickable title you know this headline is really really key and so as people are scrolling through their feed as people are looking on YouTube or swiping up on the app you’ve got to stand out from all the other competition from there and the only thing that you can do is some some type of ways to engage them through thumbnail and also the post itself or the title and then also the the snippet you know you have an Auto snippet on Facebook and also YouTube starting to switch over that way as well that gives people a little preview of what’s being done that being said if you can get them to click on it you literally have three to five seconds before they just jump off because human nature we need something to pull us in so we’re curious enough to actually click on it but what’s more important is to really get them to stay on the majority type of video and so that hook what that hook is is that first you know five to seven seconds you’re trying to pull them in to the story so whether that’s kind of giving a moment that’s in your video that’s really kind of a highlight that really pulls people in and they want to see a little bit more or something that you’re like st. if it’s an informational they say it’s a you’re saying oh you know if you’re interested in learning how to get your pages to convert you know two hundred percent more then this is the video for you you know that’s a hook the important thing though is you know it’s all based on platforms like Facebook you got to do it without sound how are you supposed to pull them in without sound you know you gotta get pretty creative there because they’re just swiping through and you know your need to pull them in and once you have them the the data shows that you have them for an additional about fifty seconds before they lose interest and bounce off and if in that fifty seconds you know it’s not relevant to what was being displayed in the thumbnail also the title also the hook they’re gonna have a higher probability it actually bounced off so this kind of think bounce rates of websites it needs to be super accurate to the ad you know it needs to be exactly what they’re doing so they say okay I’m a little bit more comfortable and you’ll have that fifty second buffer now at that time and that’s about almost a minute into the video that’s when you need to re-engage someone and if you can do that you have at least another three minutes and so that’s literally four minutes of content if you can do that because people are so interested in what you’re what you’re offering and they’re finding value and they’re able to kind of to you know to come into the the video itself and then you know as you bring in some call to actions and ways to engage it’s really really important so so you got like about five to seven second book or trailer or something like that engage them in about a minute of real curiosity content that’s going to keep them going and then that gives you another three minutes afterwards yeah bad about another three and then you got to re-engage them again and you could probably get another two three minutes and so it’s just you’re looking at that formula so before you even pick up a camera I’m thinking about these things okay what is my hook what is my thumbnail what’s gonna be my title and generally my title won’t be till I go through but I’m thinking about it I’m thinking about how I word things in the video and then once you’re in the video itself and you create the video you might have these little moments that says hey this is actually a better hook than what I actually planned but you’re actually thinking about these things so it’s like taking someone from the beginning of the video to get them to the end and get to the most important part I would say though if you have horrible audio doesn’t matter about video quality as much but horrible audio people will click off they’ll bounce faster than anything else they’ll be a little bit forgiving with video but if the audio is like staticky or has issues or if it’s like muffled it’s like sound like you’re in a submarine you know it is definitely important to have really good audio for this fantastic I know I’m gonna get tons of questions as far as what you recommend for audio yeah any reference points you can refer people to or whether you know like the biggest thing for me everybody’s like what type of equipment do you actually need you know to pull off and I really appreciate some of these Scimitar AFER’s that i work with one you know it’s totally amazing he had the sixty thousand dollar camera it’s called a red and he compared it to an iPhone 7 plus and he literally broke it down did the same footage as everything else and it like literally he couldn’t really tell it’s just basically you know how the lighting was and how it was done and then for like audio you can get like a lapel mic for like 40 bucks on Amazon like it just clips right into your iPhone or Android and you’re good to go you’re just getting good quality audio that’s there that’s crisp is really important you know doing a shotgun mic can work too but you know it just really depends on what’s happening around you in the environment if the environment is little loud then you’re going to get a lot of more things where you know you do a lapel mic is super localized and like for me my you know my mics just right out of frame so I can we talked generally I might have a lapel mic on it just really depends on what you’re doing so awesome thank you for that I know it’s those are things people always ask soon as you say so yeah next thing I wanted to find out from you is it’s more specific to YouTube when so take for example we’ve got a channel right now where we’re riding around 20 to 23 thousand subscribers and the main thing people are always asking is how do I really grow an audience on YouTube specifically yeah strategies and things do you have as far as growing that audience so I don’t know if we still connected good yeah yeah okay yeah okay so yeah I think it’s like looking at how to actually grow a YouTube channel now YouTube’s all about growing channels but how the vehicle to grow a channel is through individual videos and so the best way to actually grow a channel is to get videos to perform and get YouTube to actually promote them because they’ll actively promote now with Facebook one thing I don’t like about Facebook and I know things will change as new new things are coming out but you have to pay to build your audience and then you have to pay to to you know reach your audience now with YouTube it’s a little bit different when you have a really good piece of content it’s in the best interest for YouTube to actually promote it and just give you an example we started a channel back in March and this channel we you know we know what we’re doing we’ve done this several times but it was performing quite well and we got it to what we call a pop having one video take off and you know since then we had you know 260 million video views on that specific channel that growth and so we’re able to really get a lot of subscribers in a short amount of time because our video content and so the biggest strategy is getting your videos to take off which will resonate with particular audience but also give it a little bit more in depth so instead of just doing one video I encourage you to do like four in a series and what you do is in that four if any one of those videos take off those other videos will all be lifted at the same time that one video is taking off you get two to go and it brings the other two you know up to up to par and that’s when you start rolling from there and then to you’re able to put it in a playlist like with what you were mentioning before and make it an official playlist hmm and that right there really helps with visibility and getting it out there but ultimately at the end of the day mm-hmm the secret to all this is excuse me I got something I throw the secret about this is how much traffic can you generate to YouTube and how long will they stay on YouTube especially watching your own content so the longer that they stay the better it is for you as a content creator and the more what they do is sessions start when they actually come on to YouTube that’s a really big deal and how long they stay because if you’re able to generate that day after day then let’s say you have 10,000 people every day come on and visit your video and watch your video every day and they come back every day that’s a lot of authority that YouTube sees that you actually have and they’ll start facilitating more suggestions because the number one traffic source on YouTube is when YouTube actually suggests your videos to other you know other other people it has probably one of the most robust AI that that runs YouTube’s algorithm and it’s trying to predict what’s the best content for people to watch and also you know finding the right type of audience to bring into your your content to grow your audience as well so like I know for us and for a lot of our audience who’s listening right now and you’ve got so much experience doing this it’s it’s kinda like Russell talking about funnels yeah of course it’s really you just do this this and this not everybody does when we’re trying to get that pop and I know you mentioned four is a series of four videos yes in that series is they know what’s a series like to be continued or is it no it’s just it’s related content debt that belongs to each other so like like in talking click funnels you might have you know really digesting down the landing page and at you know things that you could do on a landing page to improve your conversions so maybe one of the things is okay here’s a great template that will actually get you higher conversions and then to here’s some split testing would do so those are we two separate videos and then you might say okay with split testing you know you can even take it a step further where you split test the split test and you’re always improving that landing page or you know maybe you know the sticking point of why there’s not a lot of conversions on it is you’re shopping cart ways to actually optimize that that’s all within a series of that landing page and and and figuring things out in in a sense of you know maybe a lesson structure I say okay section one it’s this section two is this section three is this section four is that and those can be individual videos but they can also be standalone but your question those are the most valid how do you actually get the ball started and a lot of content creators they put so much time and energy in creating content that they lose sight of optimization and what happens when you actually upload your content to YouTube the first thing that does is they go through through a Content ID system so seeing if you have any pirated music or you know any video clips that are not yours that it was also forced so that they can you know adjust it and and go from there but the second thing they’re doing is looking at the data that you provide them so what you’re providing them is the video content which it starts to close caption everything automatically the second thing that they look at is the title which you have the title of the video and then the description and the tags and if you want to get really aggressive you can like upload your own closed captioning which will give them another set of things that they’re actually check and validate at that time basically what you’re looking to do if you if if I starting a brand new channel my number one strategy would be can I be found in search and can I get people once they click on it to have a higher attention on that video get more minutes watched on that video then my competition that’s around even if I have one view and someone has a million views can I actually from their metrics say hey this is fresh content and the the ratio is higher because what happens is once those those figures actually go the a is is really smart and it says okay let’s let’s test this out and start suggesting it and let’s see if that click-through rate is as high as what we’re seeing in search and it goes out and through more suggestions and more suggestions and more suggestions and then you figure you know what there’s other content that someone might release on the same subject on a different day that has more Authority well guess who’s going to be the suggested content for that and so that’s where the ball starts going but as you’re starting get traffic and the pop could be as little as a thousand you know video a video views and a day or an hour you know whatever whatever it may be that’s where you need to get momentum from and so generally when that pop occurs is and if you’re doing in series of four videos it helps it helps amplify it’s like pouring gasoline on the fire because that first content is this and then the next one’s related the next one’s related and the next one’s related and so let’s say that the middle ones related well it goes backwards to says oh this is some related content because the the biggest thing to suggest for YouTube is your own suggests your own videos so when someone’s watch your video you have a higher probability of actually having them suggest your videos then somebody else’s videos however the bigger you get the more views you get the less that becomes a factor and then it’s just 100% straight on on the data that the AI is looking at so that’s awesome I think I think the main thing for me as I’m hearing all that kind of stuff is are there tools and how do I find out what are the right tags what are they how does all that come into play yeah you know so like there’s some tools that like there’s a lot of people that are familiar with ad buying you know that’s a part of clickfunnels I mean hey you know you got to get them to your page and generally what they’re doing some paid strategy for that and if they’re doing it on on AdWords there’s the keyword planner that you can use that will give you the ability to add some keywords but what I like to do is number one look at trends number two look at the autofill that happens on Google and YouTube number three I would like the keyword planner and a tool that I use religiously is called tube buddy and if you go to to buddy calm /go it’s a tool that integrates with when you upload a video and it tells you okay here go ahead and search for things or get the tags get the right title and it helps you through the process that is an affiliate link by the way if you just don’t want that just type in tube buddy but I swear by it I mean it saves me thousands of an hours month because a lot of automation that you can do where I want to replace it a or I want to go through all my library of videos and and change like a card or an end screen element or even a description or add tags or take away tags I’m able to do that just in a heartbeat so I love it well we’re all very good with affiliate stuff so I have no problem I don’t know but I always have to disclose it because you get that one person as well tell your mom that you’re doing this org slash go girls affiliate link use that yeah and I swear you’ll see me on the page cuz I’ll tell you what it’s the best tool ever invented for you to buy it’s just amazing love that resource that’s awesome so tell me as now you can even start putting together your videos and stuff as far as the actual content how important is that as far as the audience goes long-term as far as keeping it all the same type of content or how broad can I go inside of an audience channel and and still be yeah so that’s that’s like that’s one of the most difficult things to figure out it’s number one what is your audience resonating with and number two what type of content that you should do now as creators were like oh I want to just do what I want and I want the freedom that I want and that’s great but no one will want to watch your stuff you know you have to be consistently the consistency is brings a sense of familiarity that people are yearning for and so the consistency of the upload time the consistency had the thumbnail the consistency of the hook the consistency of the video it’s even though it’s different video but it’s the same formula is really really important and then also the consistent way that you actually engage with an audience is really important and I think we’re program as humans when something’s not consistent we’re like something’s off here like something’s going on or that didn’t resonate with me and that sends bad factors back to the AI that’s running YouTube say oh well maybe we won’t promote this video as much and since this video is going down the next video we’re not gonna promote as much either because it doesn’t look like their audience is engaging with that content now there’s another thing that you need to look at and which is the type of challenge of creating so like my channel I have you know over 400,000 subscribe I spend 20 minutes a week shoot a video upload it when I have time because we have other things that are making more money than that but I do that and and this it’s a it’s a resource channel that people like when they get in trouble they oh I get I gotta figure this out on YouTube then they find me as a resource so I’m more of a resource library and so you’re not getting a lot of the factors that you would if I was just you know a very popular kid on YouTube and doing dumb things or something whatever it may be it’s just like that you know if they’re coming back day after day that’s a really really important factor but if it’s more of a resource channel you can still accomplish the things because I use it as the top of the funnel and it funnels them and I was definitely on your beta for for click photos I definitely said traffic a few click files I just love your product but it’s like that is is where I look at it hey it’s a resource and if they’re getting in more resources I’m going to send them to a click funnels page and I’m gonna be able to pull the information and start taking them through by segmenting them into the right areas and then also you know putting them into a campaign fantastic so I know as people are looking at really building their audience and things and obviously there’s the great thing about YouTube is really it’s become next to Google the next search engine I mean it’s a major yes they go there all the time and so I love the idea as far as resources and I think a lot of people go there to get questions answered and so how important is the entertainment piece in the content so that it’s obviously entertaining yet at the same time is providing the answers people are looking for yeah yeah like there’s people that overdo it there’s I mean I’ll be honest with you I feel like they need to bounce off the walls and and be something that a eight year old would find fascinating but realistically you don’t need to do that what you need to do is be yourself be authentic and and stick to it now people go for to YouTube for different things like my mom I went up to the house she she has ten kids I’m one of 10 kids we go to her house and she has her iPad out following instructions on YouTube how to change this to work I’m like you got sons you got all this other stuff she goes no you ought to know this out of better than any other person in the world that YouTube’s easier you got the phone and expect you one of my sons to come do it oh but that’s the thing she doesn’t need entertainment she needs information and so the biggest thing that you need to look at is can it provide value if it provides value then it will actually do what it’s intended to do now the value that it can do is to inspire to educate to entertain those are the only types of value propositions that you can actually put in video and if you bring a couple together so like for example squatty potty was educating someone but to keep them there we needed to you know have some entertainment and and so it kind of was a good cross polonaise colonization of the type of value proposition that we were actually doing but in the same sense it’s like one of the the one of the driest people he’s not really dry on social media but like when Elon Musk gets up and and does a presentation I watched the whole freaking video and sometimes he’s like the most boring guy in the whole world but I know he’s a visionary and he’s sharing his vision and he’s really going after it but yet it’s I mean the only only person that I really get a kick out of who’s watching Steve Ballmer really put his foot in the mouth you know what the thing with Microsoft but but like Elon like no I I find value in it and people do find value in it so you don’t have to entertain you just need to provide value and the value that he was doing is saying look look at how we’re disrupting the world looking how we’re changing the world and that’s something how he was able to grow at an audience is off of that and so when he tweets or whatever whatever project he’s working on next you know that’s what people are looking for is that value of saying look you know humanity needs to be saved we needed we need to improve the situation that we’re in and you know he’s becoming that leader which is really important one one book that I if anyone’s interested in any audience development it’s like the most brilliant book it’s called primal branding it’s by Patrick Hanlon you can get on an audible you can get on a massage he has a sister book to it called the social code which is it’s just kind of a abbreviated version I what I actually get a client I actually make sure that they actually read that book because in building audiences they need to understand the foundations that are actually needed that you to do it and like we’re Elan musk we were talking about that it’s like you have to have a leader someone has to be that leader and they have to use sacred words which would be you know words that only you and I would understand or the community would understand and somebody around the street if we were talking funneling and funnel hacking they’re like what the Freak are they talking about are they are they you know making waffles or what what’s going on it was you know what’s going on here but it’s like that’s some of the elements and there’s seven of those elements and we don’t go into detail but you can get it all in that book which is amazing and Patrick does a great job of explaining it so again that’s primal branding do you have an affiliate link Valentin I don’t just just go by he needs a coffee or two I guess I should get an affiliate link I really I literally have like a thousand copies of it because I’m like always handing them out you know I probably should write my own book but he already did a good job on it so totally understand so I know you’ve been so gracious with your time I know we’re kind of getting close here I want to find out from you as far as one things you and I originally started talking about was the whole idea as far as this bid summit yeah I want to talk a little bit about what bid summit is and I know you’ve got accident people can kind of get some of the additional content cuz the main thing I’m getting blowing up here on Facebook and one’s asking like how do I hire Daryl yeah so you have to answer that question and then the other thing is how do I get more girls so yeah those two so many hours in the day so many projects but yeah so vid summit bitch summit was a very interesting thing now like you and Andres and and you know we’ve gone to a lot of events and you know people come across the world and they sit down in an audience and sometimes what really just hurts me is when they come to it and there’s no value for them you know they might get some networking but there’s not a lot of value that that’s there there might be a lot of who Roz and there might be a lot of you know excitement but at the end of the day what do they have tactfully to you know to really put in place of their own personal life or their business to really make changes and so going to this especially in the video world I go to VidCon playlist live and so on so forth and you know it was like cater to different audiences and so there wasn’t really a solid theme of what needed to be and I saw an opportunity and I decided to take it because like for me I want to surround myself by the people that just get it in the industry and are pushing the envelope and I know that by association if we can do it we can all lift each other and so that was the number one goal of starting vid summit four years ago and we decided you know what we’ll just cherry-pick handpick people that we want to hear present and we would just present any poll people in the audience that we knew that we wanted to rub shoulders with and and really brainstorm and so we put the first one out and it was amazing and we really focused in on the the marketer because that’s my background I got my degree in it that’s all I’ve been doing since 1999 is the marketing side of things and you know that’s what I was just really thriving on but it was everything to do with video year two we brought in the agency and the agency is needed because a lot of people these that are marketers you know we’re working with the the agencies is such like that or they own the agency but we also brought in the YouTube creators so we actually had people in the audience that had you know millions of subscribers and really got it and we had the right people presenting on stage and year three we basically brought the third element which is the perfect trifecta which is brands so brands agencies and creators and they have a symbiotic relationship where creators are looking to connect with brands and agencies are looking to connect with affiliate or I’m sorry influencers and brands are looking to connect with both of them and so it’s a really good thing and one thing that I’m really proud of is the the most viral videos ads of all time the top ten we’ve had eight of the top ten actually come and present we’ve had people that have over 10 million subscribers we had four last year that were sitting in the audience and I wonder how I can make my channel better they weren’t even presenting they were like sitting in the audience we had you know over 30 that had over a million just sitting there and saying I wonder how I can make more money you know I wonder how I can get you know my traffic to go here we can go from you know multiple aspects so the conference is the business side of video and video marketing video creation and what we look for is how to make more money how to diversify the income how to have residual income and leverage the audience through audience development by getting bigger audiences across all platforms not just YouTube all platforms and to where you know we’re really trying to make it so that when a creator his his audience kind of matures he has other he or she has other income that they actually can make whether it’s like hey you know what I can sell products through Amazon I can get it fulfilled through you know do some China connections and then you know we can go from there we had an example last year where they only had ten thousand subscribers but they made 120 thousand dollars a month off of their amazon fulfillment but leveraging youtube and so that’s kind of what the conference is and this year it’s like my dreams coming true first off in a long time because I always had this vision of what I wanted the bid summit to be but I’m one of those very tactical guys I’m very strategic and this is the first year that we’re doing it we have one of our keynotes is Gary Vee you’ve probably heard of him I think he’s been to a couple of year events they’re going to it’s going to be September 15 yeah yeah so he’ll warm up the crowd then they come to me in October but he’s been great like like he’s been a great Ally for this and you know he’s definitely helping us with some other things that we’re looking at as well and he’s definitely practicing what he’s preached preaching we also have Matthew Patrick who’s the the game theorist matpat known by you know the younger crowd on YouTube you know he has 13 point 1 million subscribers then he owns an agency that all he does is build channels and consults and really does a lot of geeky strategic things and then we have shonduras if you have never heard of shonduras he’s one of the bigger snapchatters but he’s probably the smartest guy I’ve met that was a creator that was good at building businesses and scaling businesses and he’s coming as well and then we have people like Peter McKinnon who’s just just taking off and then every every specific YouTube guru / you know marketing expert when it comes to video is coming to present as well so very cool so they get if you person wants to get tickets his midsummer calm yeah but I’ll tell you what we’ll do is you can go to vid summit calm for tickets but for me I everyone realizes we want to bring value and so we have the last two bad summits that we can give you access to you actually just go do some it midsummer calm for / free replays and you’ll actually see a clickfunnels landing page and actually our home page landing page is a click funnel page – all right you just put your name and your email it’ll get you a password and you can have 32 hours last year and 28 hours the year before of some of the best presentations now you might think oh this is outdated I’m here to tell you that we’re cutting edge and it’s something that people what I love about the midst of it this is what I get the most excited about it’s like what is relevant now not two years ago not three years ago it was like we went to traffic and conversion I love the guys over there but it’s like they were giving video strategies that are like four or five years old am I you know why am I even sitting in the audience we want things that are tactical now and that people can apply now and so one of the things that we do for every presenter is number one you have to have a valid case study you have to be willing to share your campaign and the way that you funnel in the way that you do things and then you have to show the results and everyone like we have this youtuber that’s coming that was at zero subscribers in January another at 1.3 million and they’re doing hundreds of millions of video views a month and they’re basically going to show how they’re actually doing this and so you have a lot of tactical things that you’re able to do but to you know have other people that are coming to say okay here’s how you can really monetize on Amazon or with affiliates it’s all so forth you’re able to get the information there so get your free get your free access at vid summit calm for such free replays and if you want a ticket I just put a vid summit calm so Wednesday Ben I’m totally yeah it starts the night of October 10th and a full day on the 11th and 12th and I’m really excited about this one just because when you’re surrounded by really smart people the whole room is elevated and one thing is you know there’s not a lot of people that we don’t let this be like ten thousand or five thousand or even three thousand event it’s like you can literally talk to the speakers afterwards people that like their program to actually take questions and rub shoulders in the hall or whatever it’s a very private type of event and so it was kind of cherry picked in the beginning and it just kept this this formula and everyone likes it it just is just something where we were able to do it I want to share with you one it’s like shonduras so I told you it was coming again to speak he came to the the previous vids summit and this is what happened he goes Daryl you know I’m only coming his we’re friends and you asked me to speak I’m like okay he goes I’ll put you on in the beginning because I really have to balance I have to get to you know if brand ill and I have a collaboration I need to do the next two days so I’ll only get maybe the first day or maybe even just the first morning so he came in and I said just go to a session before you know your session so you can kind of get the tone of the audience so he came in and he was like blown away like he was like taking notes and I looked at are you preparing they’re just cramming last minute is this a school test or something for you he’s like no man this is gold and so he did his presentation and he at the end of the day I’m like oh so you’re gonna take off he’s like no man I you know I want stay you know and it was really good value and at the end of day three he came up to me says look Daryl he goes honestly I usually bounce and I literally blew off a lot of money because this was very valuable for me to make more money and you got the you got the right thing going on here and he goes I just want to be a part of any time you put it on I want to be a part of it and he actually I don’t really like partners per se but he’s now a partner in vid summit because number one he’s super smart number two we worked on a couple other projects so I knew his work ethic and you know what he was able to do but the value that he’s able to bring was helped to facilitate my ultimate goal which is getting the right people in the room you know including Gary Vaynerchuk so awesome again I thank you so much for that again people that everyone’s asking it so it’s midsummer com4 slash free replays with a veteran yeah again July we’re gonna be doing some offline things that others aren’t going to be able to listen to hear things between the two companies here we definitely want to talk about I know we’re gonna be doing a case study together and all that kind stuff but again I can’t thank you enough I’ve had one thing people to continue asked in that is how did they get ahold of you if they can and I’ve got it guys yeah they could follow me on my youtube channel or on Twitter it’s just derral eves de AR RAL or you can go to derraleves.com i do some like some consulting if anyone’s interested in that and it’s kind of my my test that I usually do to figure out if I want to work with someone but ultimately I’m just looking for people that want to change the world and they’re bringing light into a dark world and that’s that’s the word I kind of gravitate to so and if it doesn’t fit I’ll still do like a quick little you know an hour thing or I’ll press you on to some friends that will be able to do that as well sounds fantastic well here we’re going to take this conversation offline you and I hear it was great I’m excited actually you have a lot of cool things going on so well I’m excited too so I’m gonna go ahead and end this I probably have to have John come in here mighty figure how [Laughter] technical way of fixing the computer just don’t plug it I’m not gonna see what happened before this started that was a bad job I should be nice you know you have you on as a guest to here I’m doing That one where we wrote some Awesome Copy while wearing Animal Suits…

[Music] and we’re supposed to be getting the harm another video here soon to actually see this good but they don’t want to send you so again you want to watch us watch it which is super awkward that’s driving a forklift how do you guys write a copy so this how it works I don’t we’re mind but not to bedtime tonight my kids we love it that is not my Daniel Chan comes in the door we don’t know what to expect it looked like he killed a bunch of bears or something find something I defer in high school who got a real aid suit and then he’d go there’s this makeout point they were and make out and he’d sneak out and then like you were making out the cars and he jump on them big jump on and freaked him out and then I take off and just scare the crap out of people it was awesome now I can do it we still good for the show alright so Dana’s last gift but Stephens wearing at home on a motorcycle ride for sure I don’t mind but not till bedtime tonight my kids we love it [Laughter] [Laughter] [Music] all right so now I’m getting way way way excited because the house is finally come together we got subfloor down sticks are going up Oh now as we can see my dad’s driving a forklift we’re gonna back on us driving a forklift that’s so easy an entrepreneur can do [Music] get out of the way here out of safety for pocket precautions and that concludes today’s forklift the dad Gabe come check us out right here you bout to see something exciting on the screen so this is the dilemma we have is two things number one is so we’ve got clickfunnels like corporate branding stuff and now we’re leading with nude squirrels and the prospector portrays how do you design the site so it’s got like this but like poor pretty blue gears flat UI anyway so I sent okie the project harmless have a guide universe in the project and I’m probably gonna try three and see this one’s gonna be the best but summer one and the number two is like how you write the copy for this cuz it’s like it’s a billion things so we’ve dated Derek’s he’s amazing copywriter and he’s inner circle he asked Mike um speaking his event I was like you are an amazing copywriter and I could use your skills so he’s coming to trades he didn’t write copy so we have forgotten I copy for sass products so and we’re supposed to be getting the Harmons brother video here soon we’ll actually see this one bundle Nathan alright so the base event I’ve ever spoken out was grant cardones last year where there was printing hundred people for liking live issues and probably 3,500 but I just got invited to speak at cardones new event suppose they have how many people 8,500 with a potential of 10,000 people possibly that is nuts so check it out this is the stadium I’ll be on the stage what that’s insane though so cool life it doesn’t make T the very next day alright some Scott my office today the Harmon brothers want to do the demo showing but they don’t want to send just to look at you want to watch us watch it which is super awkward but that’s how it’s got to go we are all excited nervous and nerves are normal but that’s okay it’s turned out really well what’s up watch it through the Hangout let’s have you guys get the best possible sound and just kind of watch it and you just want to leave your you have a second screen you can watch it on or something we’d like to just from our in your the audio and your reactions awkwardly look at you as you watch the video o subsided that’s their to push play wide a buffer Gary meet Steve an office worker who’s about to get his first gold digger I am checking what’s going on in the office today who’s all in the house Joe check this out got all of our support leads here we’re super super excited Mark’s got this whole thing under control right hey what’s up guys this here is the dream 100 board a lot on this column here which is our invite list not as many over here so we’re gonna be crushing it here trying to make sure that all these people here get under the yes coming to Boise you call them they will so get all of our support leads in here we’re having lunch look at the spread [Music] three boxes something special for you you have your very own Thor hammer what Oh shake it it lights up but now we get so you have a chest plate and a wig I think you need to put it on all right in case I need you guys wondering how do you guys write a copy so this how it works first off it starts in Microsoft Word then you print out the long sales letter and then you put it like this that way you can see it and then when something doesn’t fit you get scissors out and you literally cut it and then you write something up print it out and then shove it in kind like clickfunnels except for it works with pages and then it goes like this and there is the first draft of the new sales letter for the funnel clicks that we are trying to write forward literally like cutting and pasting that’s how easy clickfunnels is it literally is just cut and paste it’s almost like it’s a tech company wondering Tracy has been running stats trying to figure out how much money people make by using clickfunnels as opposed to like a traditional websites get 47 thousand members data for all of our members who selling products if you add an order form bump increase your cells by 147 percent you have an OT o this increases your sales by hundred thirty percent and it down so 133 percent so what that means for every hundred dollars a normal website makes a click phones funnel will make drumroll please six hundred and forty dollars that’s five hundred forty percent increase in sales me across having those three things which is insane that’s like playing basketball you know how they’re like five on five it’s like pulling for away with another team and then playing five on one that’s a normal website this is what a clickfunnels website with the order form bone and the OTO and the down cell is that’s insane so we’re gonna be using that here in this long-form sales letter it keeps evolving if you now we’ve got this block here that block here some copies of images headlines just keeps getting bigger and better and more amazing you might type it into your word document hours here’s a clue this is enjoying this days are here working his butt off writing copy Forsyth out and warehouse had some fun so right now he’s showing the kids pictures of his goats and we’re in here having some fun in the rest of them [Music] [Music] it’s day two three with ace today Jade is working all my on the new version so here is the original sales letter and then here is the new one from last night whoa pre-signed in microsoft word Jake’s been working we have all these things we need like prospectors so he went and got the images then he sent him over to some dude where’s this guy live in Guatemala there’s Steve the office worker mark and then here is our beautiful gold digger and then here is our Debbie hey char what’s up heavy within like less than an hour comes back with there’s Debbie what there is our gold digger we also have up here we’ve got our nude squirrels oh and then we got a prospector which is based off of this dude’s ooh oh man this would be the coolest project ever okay so we’re coming this script that Russell threw together and I’m just putting might kind of like bottom touches on it so it’s like two really good calculators kind of formal one and it’s not quite done but I was so excited I saw Dave’s the only one here some women who do this is like yeah so here’s what we got so the reality is I couldn’t let you hear the whole thing so we had to cut it off because he’s a master my gosh this guy’s just crushing it and you will see this soon to be continued for sure [Music] all right so dated give you the cost you kids’ll ooh yeah I’m gonna go put on a little scare let’s do it cane or some bear camera one exists you shoot me now there’s only belly nothing dad you do know you’re on camera 9 the nudies mr. Donkey Kong is now dead [Music]

Secret #30: 68% Of Your Visitors Never Even See Your Funnel…

Secret #30: 68% Of Your Visitors Never Even See Your Funnel…

what’s up everybody’s russell brunson and welcome to the last of the seekers I want to share with you from the affiliate mastermind this one has to do with page low tens so the big question is this power on sewers like us you did cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets how do we market in a way to let us get our products and our services and the things that we believe in outs of the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets okay I hope you have enjoyed some of the recap soup here to share this week there’s one more cool thing I want to share with you I’m not gonna actually the video clip of it but I do want to explain the concept because I think it’s pretty I think it’s valid I think it’s interesting and sometime gonna be testing it’s worth it for all you guys as well so it’s actually from Trevor Chapman and Trevor is were made of circle members who was there and it’s interesting he was talking about he was doing officer stuff with his funnel trying figure things out and he I’m starting put Google Analytics on stuff to look deeper at everything and as he was looking analytics he was trying to figure it out and couldn’t find someone so he’s like I gotta dig deep in this inside to figure some stuff out and a couple of things he found were interesting that again I think it’s worth listening to so number one he said that basically the 68% of visitors were ly I don’t those his page was this is an industry staff from Google Analytics but sixty percent people leave the page before finished loads to see your ad that they click on it come onto the page page starts loading and 68 percent of them leave before the page finishes loading which is interesting and so he started going back in and start saying okay my page loads you slow what I needed any like increase my my page load speed because I get more you know if I’m losing six to eight percent people with four paging loads like like that’s more you know two-thirds of my traffic or whatever that whatever the algorithm that never you see my ad and we start doing stuff to lower the lower things like lowering the image size is lowering you know page size and page structure of a buncha stuff like that and increasing how faster the page loaded and he got his from whatever I camera how much how much he decreased the low time but for Mike 25 30 seconds down to ten seconds down to five seconds and he did that he like two to three exes income not by changing the page or the ad or anything just by just by reducing like increasing the page load time which was like super fast and in fact he kind of mocking he gotta tease me because the click phone is like on one page right now I think I robbed my cells the images but takes almost 30 full seconds to load the entire page and he was like I make 60 if some people never even see that thing like that sucks and so it was kinda interesting that he made another observation that for me a super fascinating we talked about how people like me a lot of time to say well ugly pages convert better or your pages out and like webinar registration pages without a video on it in Crete you know increased conversion it’s all sort Stephanie’s like you say how thought it was because you know because of whatever like ugly pages convert but it’s like no the problem is like a lot there’s pretty pages take way longer to load right like the beautiful size the background images and all these you know video files a lot all kind of stuff just takes longer to load and that’s why people are leaving where the ugly ones it’s just like HTML code there’s images or there’s text and some stuff they load faster therefore therefore you know instead of 60 if some people leaving maybe drops down to 23 you see it like twice as much traffic just by increasing loads of speed time and I thought that was fascinating and interesting so I’m gonna be doing some more testing but I wanted to show you guys with everyone as you didn’t because I don’t know 100 cent of you know I would say I take everything a grain of salt but I do think he’s onto something I do think the page load time is interesting I do know on the click from side this is something should be comforting to you guys Todd spends time every single month trying to decrease the page load speed on our side of doing stuff to optimize the pages get the code out fast like all those kind of things for the page loads having faster in fact I’ve seen over the last in probably a year I’ve seen him shave like the cross-network wide the tens of millions of pages a week people view every single day in ours shaving time off by multiple seconds and so we’re always optimizing our side but you guys that you’re building pages and click phones just know that know that like man if I have a background image like how big is that file if it’s three Meg’s I got three those things that’s nine Meg’s just in background images that’s not good especially pulling on your phone or multiple it gets really in fact we just created a new tool inside a phone the university fills your family members it should be there by the time you’re here but it’s an image resizer I had Dora on my team bill a little software app or basically you take background image you throw in this thing and we’ll do it’ll take an image that’s like 3 or 4 Meg’s you click a button and it’ll pop the image back out looks exactly the same but it decreases the image size like 3 or 4 Meg’s like 300 megabytes whatever so it’s like 1/10 the size and so I’m going back to an all my old image just like my Ecover image is my picture image like all any image I’ll uploaded click funnels I have on a page I’m putting back to that thing you know and and shrinking the size of it to increase page load time and so just know those are things that you should be looking at because and if you can increase your conversion by 10% 20% 30% just by a limit just loading fast right that’s a lot of money without having to learn a write better copy or do any of those kind of things just page load time so church Adam thanks for bringing that top of mind to me and hopefully everyone’s listening on the podcast something definitely worth doing and something it should all look at so with that said Secret #29: The Secrets Of “Validation”

Secret #29: The Secrets Of “Validation”

what’s up everybody’s russell brunson and welcome you to another episode of marketing secrets podcast this one we’re staying in the affiliate event I got so many more cool things to share with you guys I want to talk about the concept that was brought to my attention again called validation so the big question is this power onto Brewers like us you didn’t cheat and take on venture capital we’re spending money from our own pockets how do we mark it in a way the lets us get our products and our services and the things that you believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets alright so at this fluid mastermind group our top 20 phileas were there and one of the people who came was an unlikely person on our leader board I say unlikely because I didn’t know much about her prior to this but now that I know her it was very likely she is she there’s a reason why she’s successful and I hope she knows that if she’s listening us but but as Julie and he has watched it to the contest she saw it and she did awesome throughout the contest and she came in and then it being on the the top-ten leaderboard and it being like number 4 I believe in this contest and she just become the first click Tom’s late to win a car Julie story and a whole bunch of other just awesome stuff and was interesting she’s joined this contest I didn’t know these things it was in the middle of her moving she’s the middle her own product launch bunch of stuff and she started going and and she started trying to be part of this this this launch and help support us and thrive launch first off I guess I and I didn’t know this you know a bunch people didn’t Facebook live to me she wanted to Facebook live and gets reached out today and and asked names like I can’t like Wells’s got like 30 a day and you just can’t do it and you know and rightfully so she was kind of upset about that and a little while later you know other things happen and she kind of blew up and it was funny and it was first time like I had been she’d really been brought to my attention I was watching her videos I was just like I think man you know she’s killing herself trying to help support us and like I was so grateful for that and and and tonight she was upset which always adds a little layer of whatever and I was reading through the I saw her video and I was just like first one’s kind of hurt like oh man and then in your comments the more I start reading I was like I think you said something she kind of dropped it like in a comment like you only let me do an interview with him and I was like she’s wanted an interview so I just post like do you just want me to interview like we can do that and show back yes I loved him like okay look that’s it let’s just do that we find and we end up doing an interview and she sold a bunch of books and she kept doing it she had to be in number four and she came to Savannah she was talking about like getting the top ten or fifteen different things that she learned to affiliate contest which was really really cool him I’m not gonna share all because you know obviously we won you know a lot of stuff that was a share of the event is private for those who were there but one of the things that was interesting that she talked about was just validation and how us about how helped me in Dave would warranty and how us validating her is what got her to keep moving forward and I’ma show that clip really quick she has some kind of just hear her say in her own words why those so importance was interesting in a way is to hear that and then we come back on and talk about that because it’s important to so many so many aspects of our life so let’s watch that clip right now at one point in the in the contest I was angry I was really angry because I had asked for an interview and I didn’t get one and then I saw other people getting one who were like further down the list than me and I was just I was mad and I felt like I was missing out and I was my feelings were hurt but I was angry and so I posted on Facebook that’s mad about the $20 bid and and I also didn’t understand the context of the whole dream 100 because I had never gotten any of the other packages because I wasn’t part of Russell’s dream 100 so I felt like I was in this ridiculous game where the rules were changing and I wanted their attention I wasn’t getting it well Dave and Russell both validated me and from that moment on I went from like I don’t know if I want to do this maybe I’m gonna quit – I’m your I’m yours forever like it the validation that happened that that that moment of being able to reach out and say I see you I see what you’re doing I’m appreciative do you want an interview change like I had all kinds of motivation that I never had before so in my own business when I see my customers and my clients floundering but they’re really trying I’m not talking about the trolls and the thugs and the the people who are just like the complainers but like the people who are really trying and they’re they’re just like drowning that one seed of like hey I hear you could change everything and that’s what it did for me because I was like ready to quit and then Russell and Dave reached out and I was like I’m not quitting and I changed it for me when you guys reached out I was I was done so in business that matters to me and that’s how I think I’ve created customers for life in my own business and why I got as far as I did it’s interesting huh how how us validating her got her to go and and do these things into and to do stuff and I started thinking back about my life and back to Brandon Fisher who’s you know one of our main video guys he talked about – as well like like what I validate him or something Bala dates his work or whatever might be how powerful that is and a lot of times and I forget this and I wish I was better at it but a lot of times like your employees or your spouse or your kids like a lot of us are doing stuff because they because they love you and they appreciate you and they and they want you to be happy I think sometimes pushing the business world you know we caught up and I hope you what they want they want to raise they want to you know me think about that cuz that’s like the monetary side of but a lot of times it’s a lot be like that’s that’s important obviously but like with more important sometimes is validation like saying hey thank you hey like you did a great job Hey and a nice I don’t I’m not perfect that I struggle with that I wish I was I wish I was better that but it kind of brought it back to like my attention and you know I feel like the team that we’ve built at clickfunnels a second to none and and I feel like one of my roles I need become better at is validating people and just thinking before they do and like tell them they did a good job and things like that so I’m gonna making more of a conscious effort of that to do more often and because yeah my it’s been interesting is I’ve built this company with him with my t-mike and even I said the word eye right there so I’ve been building I felt like that’s not true I was like is that we’re like I was like that wasn’t true so let me sit back like as we’ve been building click phones cuz it has not been me it’s been a team an army of the most amazing people on earth who have built that together a a lot of times people think it’s me cuz like my I’m the you know the bouncing monkey like woah clickfunnels but you know I’m just one little one little piece of this this machine that’s been growing and it’s like all times I get validation from the market so it makes me feel good you know people like my comments they comment or they share whatever and like I get the pat on the back for a job well done but the rest of the team like they don’t they don’t necessarily get that this is coming from me or coming from somebody else and so I think some of that I forget that because I get the little ego boost I mean that’s why I mean honestly why do i why do I share somebody is why do podcasts what I do so much stuff it’s like I like the validation I like when I put something cool out there and people like dude that was awesome like I get that validation and I think too often I don’t give it to people who are the the rest of the are maybe behind what we’re doing and and a lot has my family my kids my wife and so anyway it was a good reminder for me it was humbling and I hope it’s good reminder for you too so that said thanks again for listening to this episode of the marketing seekers podcast if you love this episode if you love anything you’ve learned so far please show the other people know about it you last I checked we’re number five in the business category we would beat now some of the legends and they’ve been there for a long time now and the women gets number welcome to funnel hacker radio podcast where we go behind the scenes and uncover the tactics and strategies top entrepreneurs are using to make more sales dominate their markets and how you can get those same results here is your host Dave Woodward everybody welcome back to radio I’m your host Dave Woodward and today I am so excited to have the most amazing man in the world on our show today this is John morrow John welcome to the show thank you I’m so glad to be here I just I have to take Alex Jarvan who introduced me to you and I just was so so touched by his introduction he they get alex is gonna become a real good friend and I’ve known him for quite some time we’ve done a lot of different things together but I was I was asking my someone who just can really inspire people who can help entrepreneurs really build their business who’s had success at building a business but also has had success as far as just life success oh my gosh let me introduce you to John and again for those you guys who don’t know John he’s got some amazing sites out there already again smart blogger.com if you haven’t been to smart blogger.com go to smart blogger.com but also his latest project is unstoppable dot me just an amazing site we’re gonna talk a little bit about that but you have to understand I mean John you had what over 200 million people view your contests alright yeah throughout my career I’ve been blessed enough just I mean which is just about eight years or so now either the course I’ve written or the post that I’ve edited for for other writers to be published it’s it’s up over 200 million though and I think you know first of all I can’t even conceive how large 200 million is I mean just blows my mind that’s reached that many people and that’s amazing in and of itself but the part of thing people don’t understand is you’ve done all of that through voice editing correct yes I am so I have a form of muscular dystrophy called SMA spinal muscular atrophy is the official term and basically what it means is I mean you’ve probably seen a lot of people are publishing the telethons and things to raise money for for kids with muscular dystrophy and I have full sensation all over my body but ever since I was a kid I’ve just grown weaker and now as an adult I’m in my 30s and I’m very healthy very successful but I’m one of the oldest people with my type of the disease and I can’t really move anything but my face at this point so from the night down I still have full sensation so it’s not quite like being paralyzed but I can’t move anything and so what that means is I upload the computer by speech recognition software and it’s been that way for the entire eight years that I’ve been publishing online and I also have a lip operated and mouse that I had custom-built for me years ago that I have in front of me right now that’s um that’s that I operate with my lips that allows me to move the mouse around on the screen so that that’s how I’ve done everything John I’m just so impressed because I I read across people all the time give excuses and I just absolutely hate excuses I’m just like it drives me crazy because I find so many people who have so many other obstacles in their way who are able to make things happen and so for me there’s never an excuse it’s just the will isn’t strong enough and I’ve just been so impressed with what you’ve done I mean 200 million visitors to a ton of post you’ve worked with neil patel and helped build KISSmetrics and the thing that was so touching to me on see i read this i shared it already on my facebook page i’m gonna have it linked here to our podcast as well was the article that you’ve put together on in december basically as far as the seven length lessons from a guy who can’t move anything but his face i was so touched by that because i’m like as an entrepreneur it’s a real lonely world and yet at the same time you want there’s so much passion behind entrepreneurs who really want to go out and make things happen and John is I read that I went through that it just it was crazy thing it like it brought tears to my eyes and yet at the same time there were tears of I went through like a million emotions of tears and oh my gosh that’s that’s kind of sucks and yet it’s not same time I was like oh my gosh that is so awesome and so I have this crazy roller coaster of emotions of that I’ve read through this and if you don’t mind I’ll just kind of cover those seven things if you’re okay with that sure I’d be happy to so the first life lesson basically had was if you can’t win the game change the rules which I love that life lesson so can you give people a little insight as far as what that means yeah years ago I mean before I started doing all of this I was on Medicaid and Medicaid works differently in different states but it’s health care for for people who were poor right and it was the only way that I could pay for my medical bills most people don’t know this but if you need caregivers with you if you need like nurses private insurance won’t pay for that even if you medically require it the only way that I could get it was through Medicaid and I mean it cost several hundred thousand dollars a year and there was no other way I could I could pay for it the problem is Medicaid instead of North Carolina at the time also limited me to $800 a month of income which I mean that’s like thing right right I could barely survive on that but it was the only way to get the help I needed and I’m very grateful for that help by the way I don’t want there to be any misconceptions that I’m angry I’m grateful that I could get help in any shape or form but it was also a trap right it’s a trap that that millions of disabled people are caught in right now and the only way I could figure out to get out of that trap was to actually move to Mexico where health care costs were cheaper and so what I did is I actually started out writing for free for a site called Copyblogger which became one of the biggest online marketing sites out there and my deal with bland was who’s the founder of Copyblogger is listen now right for you for free but if I do a good job if I write a lot of a really popular posts one of these days I’m gonna ask for a favor and that you can’t say no what’s kind of the deal and I you know I was trusting him and he’s totally been worthy of that trust by the way and I mean I wrote for I think it was about a year and just and I became the most popular writer on the site and from there when I moved down to Mexico I called buying up but I said remember how I said one day I would ask you to work they were well now it’s it’s time to cash in and what I asked him to do I mean he’s one of the biggest online marketing sites out there I said I want you to tell people that I’m now doing blog consulting and I want you to email the Copyblogger list and he emailed the list and within 24 hours I had 300 clients off of that list I was making six figures down in in Mexico just from doing consulting and I lived on the beach I paid for nurses and nurse that works like in the ICU of a hospital down a Mazatlan Mexico which is where I was they make about four dollars an hour it’s like the top wage one that works in a clinic makes about two dollars an hour and this is for a nurse for the four-year registered nursing degree crazy okay so I paid four dollars an hour cut my pick up whatever nurses I wanted and basically lived in paradise down there I mean a doctor was to go see the you could see a doctor that had just finished med school and was doing like their residency for three bucks you could get a house call from like the top specialists in City for 20 bucks they’d come to your house so that’s the way I lived for three and half years but eventually I got homesick and I decided to come back to the US so but that’s a very long story told very quickly but yeah that’s where they would have met I love it and again I want everybody to go get doughnuts tappable got me take a look at it I’ll have the link here as well the other lesson I love is lesson number four which is the art of the counter punch do you mind explaining that sure so all of us have guns in life where we feel like we’ve been punched in the face and we’re you getting knocked on your butt right and I have gone through just as much of that it’s not more than than those people right and one of the things that I’ve learned is that whenever you get punched just like if you get in the ring now I’m not a expert on boxing but from what I do understand about it whenever a boxer is winding up to to a brunch the bigger the punch the bigger the opening bailey’s so if they just throw the little jab they really don’t leave themselves very open but if they wind up for a big punch to knock you out they leave themselves open during that time when my experience life works the same way whenever you get punched there’s always a counter punch available where you can turn it to your advantage and during my life I’ve done that over and over and over again I mean just take this interview right now I mean did I have a very rough time overcoming everything I’ve ever come absolutely but it’s also the reason why I’m talking to you today it’s given me a fantastic story and that fantastic story is now inspiring millions of people and it’s also made me a lot of money it’s made me millions of dollars right I mean other simple examples when I was I was in a car accident in 2016 so it was already in the wheelchair was in a car accident got 17 broken bones and was laid up for like six months and didn’t know what I was gonna do with myself but all of a sudden I said hey I’ve done the right right that was the counterpunch I’m laid up got nothing else to do well what am I use all of this three times the free time was the advantage in that situation and in my experience the the advantage of any it is always proportionate to the disadvantage so if you get look I love that love come life so if you get hit with something really hard the bigger the blow that you just took means the bigger the opportunity is sitting right there in front of you so you just have to find it and train yourself to find it because in my experience it’s always there the last lesson I want to make sure we address is one of things I’m totally passionate about and that’s utilize your lesson number six which was embrace the crazy what yes so that means if you’re ever going to do anything extraordinary in your life you have to be comfortable with the idea that other people are willing to call you crazy and some of the things you do might even be a little bit crazy it was crazy for meet and move down to Mexico without knowing for sure whether you know I was gonna have any way to make money that was broke I mean I I went off of living on the $800 a month literally packed everything I owned into a van went down there with my poor mother who was also broke okay and we literally had no plan B that was that was not something a sane person does right but but sometimes you have to do crazy things I mean for for me to become a popular writer so one of the stories I didn’t tell on the post I don’t think but when I went to work at copy blogger Brian told me John you’ve got to get really good at writing headlines for your post so hopefully all of your listeners by now they know cut lines are one of the most important things whether it’s on a landing page blog post or whatever well Brian said John I want you to are the hundred headlines a day and at the end of 30 days come and see me and we’ll talk about it so I said hungry today that’s a lot but sure okay and so I went back and every day I did 100 headlines and the end of a month I went to and said here my three thousand headlines and he said you know I’ve told that to every new writer at Copyblogger you’re the first one that’s actually done it and do a lot of people writing a hundred cut lines a day is crazy why would anyone where the hundred headlines are there but that’s how I became really good at writing headlines and not only did I learn a lot from doing it for 30 days I said you know what I’ll continue this for a year so for an entire year where the hundred headlines a day were there were 35,000 headlines my first year people asked me John how did you become so good at writing these viral headlines I wrote 35,000 my first year okay so it’s doing crazy things that allow you to accomplish crazy goals that’s how it happens I love it absolutely love it so let’s talk about content now because I know this is one of the things a lot of our listeners and everyone else I run across always struggles with as far as the whole content thing and how how important marketing really is and how much time to have to spend on content what are some of the tips that you learned as far as content marketing that’s creating such opportunity for you and your lives the first thing is that there is nothing better for building influence than content that’s actually the objective of content so this is a huge lesson but it’s such a subtle one that I’ll try to explain it a lot of the people that approach content marketing think that they’re doing it to get free traffic they say I want a publisher article so I can get people to come to my website for free and then I’ll convert them into opt-ins or or whatever or into customers and and that’s their business model that’s not how content works yes it might get people into your website but what content is gear that more than anything else is building influence whether it’s on the front end and you’re publishing it to try to get ranked in the search engines or whether it’s in the middle of your funnel where after someone opt-in upsome you send them content to build influence or even toward the end where you’re trying to influence them to buy the soil okay so the the biggest question that you can answer is what do I want the person to do after they’re done reading this content or this video whatever it is and then once you figure out what it is you want them to do then what you do is you engineer the content for that purpose so like that the posts that we talked about that went viral the the life lessons one I engineered that post from day one to go viral that was my intention my other intention for the post was to make to give people a story so incredible that they would never forget and that they would talk about it with all their friends and that not only that that they would be inspired that they would trust me and that they would want to listen to every word that I said and that basically awesome yeah so my goal I mean to put it very succinctly and this is a little bit over set over simplification my goal was to make every reader fall in love with me after they read that post and we got over 3,000 emails into our hope disc with people just they were we call them love letters that people telling me their life story talking about how inspired they were so I engineered it from day one now if my goal was to rank on the search engines I would engineer it for that purpose so that that’s the biggest thing is know exactly what you’re trying to influence people to do and then engineer your content to do exactly that I love it again the article were talking about is seven life lessons from a guy who can’t move anything but his face amazing amazing headline and again you can find it unstoppable dot me but the cool thing I take a look at this thing’s been shared seventy five thousand times seventy two thousand times on Facebook three thousand on Twitter and 631 comments I mean that is so so much content but most importantly the influence I mean I think of it being shared seventy five thousand times and how many other people must have seen that content you’ve got to be into this hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who have seen this content and I love how you’ve engineered it so what are some of the other tips or tricks again even you’re the master at content marketing so what are some other tips you can give our listeners when it comes to content marketing so the next thing is to go over to go for quality and not quantity this is one thing that’s changed in the last few years the only way you should go for quality meaning publish a whole bunch of articles is if you if you’re Forbes or The Huffington Post with those sites the reason why they publish I mean I think it’s in some cases like a thousand the articles a day okay they’re trying to publish as much as they can and the reason why is it’s throw as much as we can at the wall and hopefully something will stick and get us a little bit of traffic and then they make money off of the pageviews so the advertising there is there every time someone loads the page they’re making money so their goal is to get as much traffic as possible now here’s the question those sites how many people had better publishing a thousand you know maybe not all of those articles are Crotty but the vast majority of those articles are crappy ok those articles are generating no influence even if they generate traffic I mean one way to think about this is imagine if you put a funny cat video up on the website to advertise your accounting firm it would probably get traffic people love funny cat videos they share them with their friends but even if it got you 10 million visitors it probably wouldn’t get you a single customer because it’s generating no influence right the better way to go about it is to [Music] – very very deliberately craft the best article ever written on a topic that that your audience really wants to know about and and then to go out and spread it as far as you can one article that’s the best article on that topic ever published will do more and generate more influence for you than 10,000 crappy articles okay so so focus instead of I’m going to publish every day and this is how we’re gonna work on the search engines that’s not how it works not if you want to generate influence not if you want to make a sale the way it works if you want to make a sale is to be the person that they say whenever I want to know the answer I go to this site because they always have the best content that’s how you win that’s great advice so with so many different types of content being produced these days whether it’s again we’re talking right now primarily about blogs and articles obviously there’s a lot of stuff on social media whether it be Facebook or Instagram or YouTube what do you find when people are looking for content and for trying to gain that influence where some of the best things that you’ve learned as far as different types of mediums to use so as far as social media goes and well even just understanding traffic in general okay I think it was Business Insider they recently published an infographic that it showed the amount of traffic on the web referred by source the the FIR the number one source is Google okay number two source by very close margin was Facebook the number the resource I think was Twitter but Twitter was like ninety percent lower than Facebook so what the end all of the rest of the traffic source is on the web so if you take all of the other like what I don’t know fifty referral sites they didn’t like add up to Google and Facebook so there’s this huge drop-off so really the name of the game these days for getting traffic is really to focus on Google on Facebook is the answer I mean yes there are sites like Instagram and Pinterest and and in certain cases in certain markets if you have like highly visual topics like into design or fashion that those types of things can work really really well but if if you’re a beginner or you want to go to where the traffic is so just another quick little thing when I was graduating from college I told my dad that I wanted to figure out how to make some money and my dad had been a successful real estate developer and what he told me is he said John if you want to make money go find a river of money that’s already flowing and go stand in the middle of it and just scoop up as much as you can that’s what you do that’s what you do he said but you never try to make the river change course he said you just stand in the middle of the river that’s already going and what a lot of people don’t realize is there are really only two rivers in traffic it’s Google and Facebook go stand on one of those focus on that and chances are you’ll be okay I love that great advice so as you take a look at at some of the stuff that you’re working on the projects that you working on as far as coming up with content how do you come up with with the content that you come up with so it all comes down to what am I trying to accomplish so depending on the site depending on what I’m doing if my goal that the three basic objectives or search engine traffic social media traffic or building a bond with your existing audience typically a post will only accomplish one of those three objectives it’s theoretically possible to accomplish all three but almost impossible from for most people unless they are extremely good writers you’re better off choosing which of those objectives you want to do so like the post that we talked about the seven life lessons was I engineered that one for social that coach does not get a lot of search engine traffic it wasn’t designed for that on the other hand I have clothes like we ranked in the top three for make money blogging on smart bloggers and that post was engineered to be to rank high for make money blogging it gets like I think 50,000 visitors a month or something just from that one post in that one search engine ranking and so when I’m creating a post that way I do things that the search engines want me to do so if it’s if it’s on social I generally focus on the science of virality about which is mostly about emotion by the way the more emotion you can make people feel and general the better something does on social media that’s where we’re simplifying it but that’s the simplest way to understand it with search engines it’s about two things and this is all of SEO condense down into a very simple statement get right the best content ever published on the topic and get the biggest influencers in your space to link to it if you do those two things you will rank a hundred percent of the time now I don’t get you that’s one of things I’d get questions about all the time yes it is difficult and it comes down again there do a few things number one if your post genuinely is the best if it genuinely is the best then and and they’re going to link to anyone they’re going to link to you right so if you’re already the best you shouldn’t have any shame about reaching out to them and saying okay you know I noticed that you write a lot on this topic I just published this and you know not to toot my own horn but I genuinely believe it’s the best article ever published on this topic could you take a glance for 30 seconds and and if you like it could you just share it with your audience if it’s genuinely the best they will okay most influencers like I get emails all the time from people who want me to share their stuff it’s almost never the best article ever written on the topic almost never and whatever it is I share it a hundred percent of the time okay and most other influencers are the same way so you can send a cold email to an influential person and get them to share your work but it has to be genuinely worthy of the attention that you were trying to get for it that’s awesome so how do you find these influencers there are a few different ways and again it it comes down to your objective for search engines what you’re looking for is links from from sites that have high domain authority so it’s it’s one of the ways that people evaluate the the searching the power and the search engines that the site has it’s sort of a metric for Google okay it’s not the same thing as page right but domain Authority is like how big is the authority of the size as a whole you want as many links as you can get from high domain authority sites now typically those sites will be multi-author so for example you can get a link from Forbes right Forbes thousands of different riders for them you don’t have to convince the editor-in-chief 20 you just have to convince one rider other there thousands of riders right so it’s really not that difficult but if you want to rank in the search engines the answer is basically anyone riding for any of the most authoritative sites if you want to get shared on social media it’s the the pages it for the most part the page is on Facebook that have number one the the biggest audiences but also the highest engagement scores so what what Facebook publishes what they show and I’ve actually seen this just over the past few days it’s been disappearing and reappearing so they look they’re doing some kind of work on it but they have the percentage of people reserved but the the number of people that like a page and the number of people talking about the page if you see a million people like a page but only 50,000 people are talking about it that means it’s a jump page that means the majority of their traffic is very disengaged on the other hand if they have a million people and they’ve got five hundred thousand talking about it or even two hundred thousand talking about it now we’re talking that’s engaged traffic so that’s how you want to get the link from that’s awesome well John you are such a wealth of knowledge and I again I want to make sure people have the opportunity reaching out to what’s the best way for them to be able to connect with you they can head over to smart girl and we have lots of great articles there um feel free to opt-in there’s even a cheat sheet for writing headlines if you want to Secret #28: What Are The Rules You Filter Your Opportunities Through?

Secret #28: What Are The Rules You Filter Your Opportunities Through?

what’s up everybody this is Russell I want to welcome you back to the marketing secrets podcast this episode I’m gonna be talking about some of the rules you set up before you say yes to any project so the big question is this power ons Brewers like us you didn’t cheat and take on venture capital for spending money from our own pockets how do we mark it in a way the lets us get our products and our services and the things that you believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets alright so for today’s podcast again this is another cool thing that we got from the flip mastermind group so one of my friends his name is Garrett Pearson he runs a bunch of cool companies and we’re actually launching company soon together which I’m really excited for I won’t ruin the surprise for yet but it is amazing and you’re gonna go crazy and should I tell you more after you see the webinar you will want to create a software program inside of your company that’s why I’m giving you okay what that said so um Garrett came he kind of showed the the the business we’re building together kind of presented to all the affiliates because again I think that every affiliate I think every business should have software component to it I think you’re kind of crazy if you don’t of all the businesses I’ve been and I’ve been in supplements info products ecommerce like everything like by far my favorite business ever is software which is probably why I love software as you can tell but one thing that Garrett talked about is they have a list of rules that they before they see a project cuz he said he’s like I have a new idea for a new software product every hour and he’s like if we didn’t have a filter and first when he got started he didn’t he just would create everything and he said we created this filter and so I asked him if he’d share that filter with everyone during the mastermind event so I’m gonna have him share that filter i’ma show you guys that clip right now and his folks are maybe different than your filter but listen to this because you need to create your own filter and I struggle with it as well so many Co opportunities come by and I’m just like yes yes yes I gotta say yes and it’s like no you have to create a filter otherwise it’ll consume your whole business in your whole life and something working on and so it was a good reminder for me and so I want to hear you guys hear Garrett’s his filter he runs things through before he jumps in and says yes to a project so let me show you that clip right now we had to come up with a way to to stop us from doing too much because you have to focus like Russell said you have to focus so here’s how we we stay grounded and we don’t we don’t do a software if it doesn’t pass all of these things Kay so is it sexy does your project feel a need or want in a desirable attractive way I mean it’s pretty obvious right you’ve got to find something that people want more importantly in the software world is it sticky okay so in the software world if you want recurring billing you want recurring revenue you need somebody that’s gonna pay you over and over and over again month after month okay or year after year so is it sticky is it going to be difficult or painful for a client to stop using our software so clickfunnels is a good example I don’t know what Russell’s churn rate is and that’s people that stop using it but what the amount of users he has it you know he that’s just part of doing business in the software world but it’s super sticky because if you’ve got ten funnels you’re not gonna leave right huh even if you exactly you’re not gonna leave right and so are our shopper approved software it’s a rating and review software free for ecommerce companies they start using us they they get even 50 reviews they’re gonna stay with us forever and keep paying us and paying us paying us okay so is it sticky that’s really really important so for example with with allison’s it’s it’s definitely sexy right it’s definitely sticky because you’re gonna keep using it over and over again hopefully and so that people are gonna keep paying your month after month can you charge recurring billing we don’t do anything unless we can charge recurring billing and so it’s very very important because the recurring billing is where software’s as we’ve already talked about today where why it’s the ninth wonder of the world can you sell it via call center now this is for us these these can be different for you guys we’d love to sell our products in a call center and and so for us if we can’t sell it in a call center now for example where something wouldn’t work for us if it’s 47 bucks a month because we can’t sell that in a call center because our guys won’t make enough money right ourselves our sales team won’t make enough money so if we can’t sell it in a call center then we don’t generally do it can you promote it to your existing customers target market now this is for us because we already have software in different in certain niches right so we try and build stuff that we can sell to our existing customers or that market so we don’t if now this this software funnels is an exception but sometimes you gotta make exceptions right is it programming programming excessive if it takes us more than six to eight months to develop with one or two programmers generally we won’t do it okay is it customer service friendly it’s got to be customer service friendly or it’s going to be a nightmare to to work with over time right so those are the things that we go through and if it doesn’t pass those we don’t do it alright so to recap what Guerra said is it sexy is it sticky can you charge recurring can you sell through a call center can you promote to existing customers is that a it’s a programming excessive and support friendly like for them those are the filters they need to have maybe you’ll have to have the same filters for you something I don’t want to call Center me that’s the opposite feels like it cannot be sold the call centers gotta be sold all night but you got to pick like your rules like these are the rules of what I’m willing to do and not willing to do otherwise as I found in my life and I still struggle with it’s like I said if you’re not careful you would committed to too much stuff if you suffer from over-commitment that’s the problem and I would definitely say that I fall in this trap if I just been interesting in the last two weeks two people have been placed into my life it’s been interesting one from some I haven’t seen in 16 or 17 years a spiritual leader do I have so much respect for I haven’t heard from this they get six or seven years I hear from him and like a couple weeks later he’s in my office sitting there talking to me and then he’s gone and then just today happen again again some I respect a ton and both one basically almost word-for-word so the same thing like Russell you got to slow down you need to be in this for the long haul that’s like I think God is telling me something consistently and I’m hearing it loud and clear and now I’m trying to figure out myself like okay I gotta create my filters I got to create these rules for myself because as you guys probably see I’m running faster now we’re doing a lot of stuff which is good it’s fun I love it but same time I can find my care if I’m gonna burn out and I need to be in this long haul for myself to keep me happy long term in my life for my customers for my partners for our employees for for everyone so just a good reminder for me and hopefully for you as well thanks Eve listening to marketing series podcast I hope you Funnel Hacker TV Episode 44 (Behind The Scenes Show)
That one where we played Bubble Soccer…

[Music] Michael’s not quite over bubble soccer I [Music] need a hundred and fifty people I’m nowhere near kind of hurt right design of thumb is about to begin [Applause] it’s asked to work I have to get a hundred fifty people on Boise State Stadium field I’m half neighbors all right so it’s Monday morning it’s crazy crazy day super super crazy week going on I have to get in shape because we have this crazy soccer foot I would already be in shape before I’d set this up but I come to the gym to work out Russell’s been taking a ton of time here he has actually not been on vacation he’s been here lifting look at the crazy weight Russell’s in the house so checks out this is a new playlist I’m creating called the funnel hacking NZT time every hour on the hour place seven nation army and it’s going on to other songs to keep you in state the whole time [Music] Stephens been here busting it since way before the Sun even came up this morning what’s going on Steve I’ve just fixed it funnels for a sign upon how many funnels are we talking here this year 30 30 30 funnels and this almost done except for eleven of them so only a third of problems and the design athan starts in 40 minutes 40 minutes not bad all right mr. Brent how’s it feeling back in the office for a full week big time guy who’s starting in the next Monday’s we’re getting him all set up that’s gonna help improve overall support so check out what’s going on design of phone is about to begin are you meeting down heading in to go see everybody [Music] it’s always fun to see these moments of basically liked pitbull so called like a pillar of light becoming leaving Downton sky and he has these pieces of revelation raised like hey does that stop whatever I’m doing run over and watch it because it’s really fun and so when he started having the the inspiration for this event [Applause] alright so you just got done the page for the viral 100 so here it is right here video to invite you guys so we have a hundred videos when really it’s page now 200 times change the name but down here speakers launch party get every to RSVP that’s what’s happened now we go ahead to save ice and bubble soccer so we can prep and make sure that we can get enough balls down here to play an actual game so we said the world record so we can see if that’s actually possible these here are the guys riding the balls so we got Steve and Max these guys actually have contacts with people so 150 people right now I think that’s the most we’re gonna be able to do and holding Guinness is gonna go for that [Music] yes this is actually is a practice dry run with the bubbles to see if this is actually gonna work guys are they’re basically trying to measure out exactly a small enough space that is representative of what it’s gonna be like it’s rolling they have ten or twelve balls playing here and we got to see what’s gonna be like life time when we go to 150 feet alright so this is what if they look like when they’re flap Steve here is cranking these things up build kind of air in them [Music] all right so I told my kids about bubble soccer and some of the video this morning and now they’re going crazy so they’ve now been officially invited to the free bubble soccer and game so and home to go grab them and change out of my clothes I forgot the quadcopter I’m hoping it having battery life to fly it and capture some of this game it’s gonna be a lot of fun you guys excited to play [Music] Branden usually always ask to sit on the sidelines and never gets to play he’s just always documenting so we thought we’d actually let him get in and play a little here so we got a little competition against he and my son Parker Oh Brandon’s down in the first bounce really upset right now because I’m supposed to get 150 balls we’re playing ten here in this little tiny space which is a fifth of the size of what we’re gonna have and I’m supposed to get ten times as many balls in that and it’s just no way to start where I need a hundred and fifty people 75 on 75 that’s what we’ve told these influences we’re gonna have I’m nowhere near that ability to actually have that many people on a football field kind of hurt right now I told him 200 Brandon said 200 people I have 150 balls coming right now and I can’t even put a hundred 50 balls on or sitting there in the conference room everyone’s like oh no problem Dave look you got this little tiny space and all this space to play this has to work it has to work I have to get 150 people on Boise State Stadium field I’m half nigger I got to get a smaller balls or bigger feelings to happen and so if I had the exact same dimensions here times five that’ll be 60 my problem is I want to go I think I probably get 280 I’m alright I have 40 I wasn’t planning on doing before to use playing all right it’s been crazy so it’s one o’clock in the afternoon I have just worn four pairs of clothes today I worked out really hard one then I went to spoke and had the blue shirt we did a bubble ball which I had Schwartz a t-shirt and I was stinky and swetha so I showered and I didn’t want to put on my long sleeve dress t-shirt so outfit number four Mukul mr. crapped out of stuff today from let me four o’clock we had the 30-plus designers the best in the world in their design funnels like crazy which is awesome we have some quadcopter footage of the soccer’s so cool Stephens in there cloning and creating 200 pages for all of our influencers Dave’s trying to figure out if it’s even mathematically possible set against poor girls records they have all these rules didn’t know about like you have to be on regulation soccer sighs Phil just square football fields that’s kind of weird plus you got to play a full game no substitutions you follow all the rules of the gaming it’s actually really hard to get from perfect and after playing those balls as in the Frank a min and a half two minutes I was drenched we got to die so yeah it’s gonna be a little harder than that but me so much fun so in back the office check the designs on people design up on people I got speaking in for a few minutes and this year at this time and then are you back to work because we are trying to take over the world and what goes into that apparently thunk you thought I’d be a lot easier to take over the world but it turns out it was a pyramid a lot of what I promise right it’s happening here [Music] I just hope this guy’s like the funnel lab with you yet so I went and I funnel Hatton’s went to dribble and found this cool temple here it’s like oh pretty cool that’s a nice started building out and I build this page out for my squeeze page and over here if I’m out at the bridge page over here I built out then the ESL page like that very sweet what the sides all is happening my office later that evening we’re heading back they asking my dad here with me this is 10 o’clock and the hackathon is still going on no it’s 11 o’clock at night poor kid [Music] gamer’s been building for how long they did building for 15 hours and so we’re gonna go actually real quick with John they’re doing a billion times do you run a patient Colonia all day long and then putting videos and change the names [Music] great day Thursday almost midnight I think it all blurs together after life [Music] so design hack on day one huge success how many funnels were created today beeping Witcher guesstimate probably around 30 ish there good good designs though like this is not like a so we ever surprises it’s a good day we’re going to bed now he has a book today it was easier on me I’m gonna go to bed but we get paid for this

Secret #27: DON’T Become A Person Of Success…

Secret #27: DON’T Become A Person Of Success…

what’s up everybody this russell brunson and the marketing stickers podcast i’ve got another really cool thing to share from you from my recent affiliate mastermind so the big question is this power onto Brewers like us you didn’t cheat and take on venture capital we’re spending money from our own pockets probably mark it in a way the lets us get our products and our services and the things that we believe in out to the world and yet still remain profitable that is the question in this podcast we’ll give you the answers my name is Russell Brunson and welcome to marketing secrets alright everybody so um this is one I thought was really powerful this was also a really cool strategy shared by jld John Lee Dumas vo on fire and he talked about how when he was growing up he wanted to be successful so he was doing things make him successful as going to school he was getting jobs he was like trying to become successful and somewhere in this journey he said that he heard a quote from from Albert Einstein and the quote and I’m probably to mess this up actually as to this I’m gonna I’m gonna cut the clip so you can hear him actually say it and tell the story cuz he’ll say more more articulate than I can so let’s loosen that clip right now and we’ll come right back and so at 32 years old I kind of had this realization when I read this quote by Albert Einstein which was try not to become a person of success but rather a person of value and I was like ooh like I’ve been trying to become a person who success my whole life and it hasn’t really worked so what is this value thing so I started kind of really doing some research on like what it meant to be a person of value and that’s when I started looking around my world and saying like what like our people or what people are adding value into my life and those people really in 2012 were podcasters and I was like man these people are adding free value to my life and they’re amazing maybe this is something I can I can kind of look at and so that’s kind of what led me down the path of launching my own podcast so that I could then create free valuable and consistent content like that’s my three special ingredients for success like I deliver a free valuable and consistent content I was able to grow an audience so I thought that was such a key because I know that for most of us like like for me I want to be successful and it’s like if we’re running towards success a lot of times we don’t realize that that’s not what makes you successful it’s figuring out how to provide value how to be a person of value like that is the key and when you do that then you’ll get the success that you want there’s so many things in life do we have that problem where it’s like there’s a direct path to success but instead of just going and getting it we go and we do things on these huge loops to try to get the success we want you know the funny ones when I first start working with Tony Robbins started learning all his six human needs and things like that it was interesting because prior to that my wife and I had a conversation and I member I was out there you know trying to build this business trying to like do all these cool things and try and impress her so that we would have more love and connection between me and her and I was one huge rally a little more level connection I remember one day I came home and I was like all excited about stuff and my wife you tell that she missed me and she was like I just wish she’d come home and I was like what I was like I’m doing all these things you know for for us as sometimes we say and as I thought more about I was like doing these things for myself I’m trying to feel most more significant more always kind of thing so that I can impress her so that we can have love and connections and well this huge route take 11 connection where I just came home and get it gotten the same level connection and it’s just interesting how sometimes as humans we go on this route I think that this is one of the things I really got out of for the mastermind is just like if you want to be a person success like don’t pursue success pursue being a person of value and the person who provides the most value to the audience or the people who become successful you understand that the game changes so hope it helps I hope you hasn’t enjoyed this podcast making for listening to marketing secrets please if you would like this episode or any episodes share it comment I’d love to hear appreciate guys listening and we’ll see as on the next episode bye one more marketing secrets if so then go get your copies of my two best-selling books book number one is called experts secrets and you get a free copy at expert seekers calm and book number two is called comc and you get your free copy at dot-com secrets calm inside these two books you’ll find my top 35 secrets we’ve used become the fastest-growing non VC back-sass startup company in the world

decade like thousands of templates put them all the huge show board right here so we’re doing designs on on Monday Tuesday or a diners from you so I’m actually taking it all categorizing them all so I’m like oh there’s an applet pre sale page but designers to look at into funnel hat it’s like Oh click pops here’s a whole bunch of different pop-ups all right and that you can like dude no way here’s a whole bunch of squeeze page styles that you know and just going through turns look at that list anyway here’s a bunch of bridge pages and you like oh cool that’s how a bridge page works rustle and you can just they can just do this so cool like here’s OTO pages that are awesome here’s holy crap our registration pick this woman look how cool appreciation pages I feel I forgot about mad skills as far as finding the cool little apps and things and we just solved this amazing thing as far as trying to find a way of capturing an entire page this is a good app right here though this is a good extension called full page screen capture and I’ll take a picture top down and mash it off together so that the really long form web pages got him on the picture it’s really cool good swipe
